what the heck! wikipedia blocked my ip address from editing for "disruptive edits" despite the fact that I've never made an edit. Did a little looking I wasn't banned this morning but now "I'm" four months through a one year ban. I'm not allowed to make an account i guess my punishment for going to the store? where someone did something malicious was near is that every time i misclick on Wikipedia it calls me a scoundrel and accuses me of crimes :(

All of this happened because they couldnt bother to word what they wanted to say the right way and instead of just being like yea I should have said it better sorry, I actually really like these kids of stories and it just felt rushed this time, I didnt mean to sound so rude: they went on a rant about how you're too young to understand constructive criticism and how them being a published writer somehow makes them more knowledgeable than you are and that you need to unblock them because they somehow deserve to be able to talk to you however an whenever they want.

They're also sending their friends after me now. 3 different accs that all joined Tumblr today have started attacking me in their defense. 1 of them went directly to the fic to attack me and tell me I'm immature and should have 'just blocked' as if this whole thing didn't blow up because this weirdo couldn't take the fact that they'd been Blocked, for what it was.

I Blocked them and they made the choice to continually harass me. Dedicated the time to write a rant the size of a small oneshot even, and then went through the effort of posting it like it was actually a fic.

And my initial post didn't even name them. I didn't keep their name or profile pic in the screenshot cuz originally, I was ranting about annoying ass reviewers and their stupid habits or complaining about things they can avoid if they just choose to not read. It was them who decided to escalate this. I have always kept track of people when they harass me because I need the proof for when I eventually report them. AO3 takes reports very seriously and the more proof the better.

I've had to do this before and it's tiring to do so, but I do it every time.

This random stranger acting like they've been attacked but no one who has been following along has gone to their fics to harass them at all. I haven't gone to their fics. In fact, MY fic is the one this is all happening on. Them sending in their friends and then crying about how they've been put through so much this weekend? No one held a gun to their head and told them to do all this weird shit.

Because it is weird. They remind me of the creep who used to try to find new and interesting ways to sexually harass me in my own neighborhood. I took different routes to avoid seeing him, but he somehow made it his life's mission to not let it get in his way of being right where I was going as I was walking home from school. And then he'd follow me.

Going out of one's way to ignore the hard boundaries another person has set up, whether you think it is fair for those boundaries to be there or not, is creepy.

so is no one gonna point out that there is no source for the new story on the wikipedia page on jikininki and the writing itself seems very fanficy, on top of creating a new term ("jijinki" like did they mean gijinka, the anthroification of inanimate objects?? or the yt channel with 8 views and one video??) and literally claiming people from old japan either referred to a pair of twins by the english word "phantasm" or the person who added it just straight up didn't provide the actual japanese word for it, along with linking to a source that has literally no mention of the story within its page

also did japan even use charcoal to write?? based on what i can find a scholar like the one in the story would be using ink and brushes not charcoal. im also a bit confused about the "bright blue spiritual stone" used but i dont know enough to say its as questionable as the charcoal
