Winter Steps
back to my main masterlist
pairing: toto wolff x fem!reader
summary: On a snowy Christmas Eve, Toto takes his long-time partner on a walk to a secluded frozen lake, surprising her with a heartfelt gift and a moment that solidifies their bond.
warnings: fluff, heartwarming moments outdoors
The snow fell softly, blanketing the trees and ground in a shimmering layer of white. Totoâs hand was warm in yours, even through your gloves, as you both walked through the narrow trail. Each step crunched lightly against the snow, the sound muffled by the serene silence of the forest.
âYouâre sure this is the right way? âyou asked, raising an eyebrow as you glanced at him. His long strides forced you to take two steps for every one of his, but he kept his pace slow to match yours.
âOf course âhe replied, glancing down at you with a smirk. âYou doubt my navigation skills?
âI donât doubt your navigation skills âyou teased. âI doubt your sense of direction when youâre trying to impress me.
He laughed, the sound echoing through the quiet forest. âI think youâll forgive me when you see whatâs ahead.
The trail opened into a clearing, revealing a frozen lake surrounded by towering evergreens. The surface of the lake glistened in the fading light, and the entire scene looked like something pulled from a snow globe. A small wooden bench sat near the edge of the lake, dusted lightly with snow.
You stopped in your tracks, your breath catching at the sight. âToto, this is beautiful.
âI thought youâd like it. âhe said, his deep voice soft. He brushed the snow off the bench with his gloved hand and motioned for you to sit. âCome, itâs even better up close.
You sat down, the cold wood biting through your coat, but you didnât care. The view was breathtaking. Toto sat beside you, his presence solid and comforting as he slipped an arm around your shoulders.
âHow do you even find places like this? âyou asked, leaning into him.
He tilted his head back, looking at the trees with a thoughtful expression. âDuring my runs. I discovered it last year and thought it would be a nice place to bring you.
âYou found this on a run? âyou laughed. âThat doesnât surprise me.
âNothing gets past you. âhe teased, leaning down to press a kiss to your temple.
You stayed there for a while, watching the light change as the sun began to set. The sky shifted from pale blue to soft pinks and oranges, the colors reflecting off the icy surface of the lake.
âDo you ever stop? âyou asked suddenly, breaking the silence.
âStop what?
âBeing so thoughtful. âyou said, turning to look at him. âItâs like you have this endless ability to surprise me.
He smiled, his dark eyes warm as he studied your face. âYou deserve it. And more.
Before you could respond, he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. Your eyes widened as he held it out to you.
âTotoâŚ
âOpen it. âhe said, his voice unusually soft.
With trembling fingers, you opened the box to reveal a delicate silver necklace with a snowflake pendant. Tiny diamonds sparkled in the dim light, each facet catching the glow of the sunset.
âItâs beautiful âyou whispered, tears pricking your eyes.
âI thought it suited you. âhe said, taking the necklace from the box. âStrong, unique, and breathtaking. Just like you.
You turned around, brushing your hair aside as he fastened the necklace around your neck. His hands were steady, but his touch was impossibly gentle.
When you faced him again, his expression was unreadable, a mix of tenderness and something deeper. âPerfect. âhe murmured.
âYou mean the necklace? âyou asked with a smirk, trying to lighten the moment.
âNo. âhe said, his tone serious. âYou.
Your breath hitched, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Then he leaned forward, his forehead resting gently against yours.
âYouâre everything to me. âhe said softly.
The intensity of his words left you speechless, and you could only nod, your hands gripping his coat. âTotoâŚ
He pulled back slightly, his lips brushing against yours in a kiss that was slow and deliberate, filled with the depth of his feelings. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours again, a small smile playing on his lips.
The moment felt infinite, the two of you wrapped in the stillness of the snow-covered world.
âCome on. âhe said eventually, standing and offering you his hand. âI want to show you something else.
You took his hand, and he led you along the edge of the lake to a small clearing where the trees formed a natural arch. In the center was a lantern, its golden light flickering warmly against the snow.
âWhatâs this? âyou asked, your eyes widening.
âJust another surprise. âhe said, stepping behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist.
The two of you stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the lantern, as the snow continued to fall. It felt like the world had shrunk to just the two of you, and in that moment, you knew youâd never forget this day.
Hi!!!!! I wanted to remind you how grateful I am to you and the support you give me. Also to wish you a Merry Christmas â¤ď¸âźď¸

Way Out of Line
ONE
Beneath my perfume and make-up I'm just a baby in disguise. And though I know that it's wrong to be alone with him that "come on look" is in my eyes.
Character: Keith Toshko from Barbarian (2022) played by Bill SkarsgĂĽrd.
Warnings: 18+, NSFW, heavy themes.
Notes: Merry Christmas! đ I present my newest story now because it's set at Christmas. This story will be full of subjects that can provoke and a theme many recognize. The french is google translate!
Silver Bells, Silver Bells⌠It's Christmas time in the cityâŚ
I looked at the mountain of gifts in front of me on the floor. It was silly I still received so many Christmas presents and that my parents still said it was from Santa Claus. I was twenty-one years old, a whole woman, but I still got everything from my wish list. I sat and looked at an eyeshadow palette from Dior, swatching the shades on my hand while my dad sat and looked at me like I was still his five-year-old little girl. I would always be his little girl, even if I went to college and had my own car. Or technically it was his, but it was mine. What would he have done with a little white beetle?
âAre you happy with your gifts, Jacqueline honey?â Asked my mom when she came into the room, carrying her coffee mug. She was still dressed in her red robe that matched my red pajamas.
âOh yes, thank you so much, I mean Santa,â I said with a giggle and laid the palette on the neat pile of gifts by the well-decorated Christmas tree. My mom smiled, pleased, and sat down next to my dad, who also drank his morning coffee.
âWhen will the others be here?â I asked as I stood up, ready to take a shower and make myself ready for our Christmas guests. It was my older brother with his family and my aunt with hers. There would be thirteen people, and I would sit by the kids table as usual. I didn't complain because I had never had a reason to leave the table, and I probably had more in common with my teenage cousins than the grown-ups.
âThey will be here at one, but you know Jason is always early,â my mom said looking at her phone, probably checking for Christmas greetings on Facebook. I nodded a little before leaving my parents in our Christmas-decorated living room to walk to my bedroom on the second floor. I had my own en suite bathroom there and could take the time I needed. It was just family, so it wasn't really that important to look great, but it felt better to do my full routine even if no one would touch my smooth legs or check if my eyeliner was completely even.
While I stood in front of my mirror, after my shower, there was a knock on the door, and in confusion, I answered, âyes.â
âCan I come in?â my mom asked, against the door. Doubtfully I opened it even if I was just dressed in a white spaghetti top and panties, but my mom didn't seem to think about that; she just looked at me with big eyes.
âWould it be okay if you took Jason's old room for a few days?â
My first thought was that my aunt and her family would sleep over, but a few days sounded like a very long time.
âWhat? Why?â I looked around in my bathroom, all my expensive things and light colors. Children were not allowed in there. My mom looked stressed, fixing the red jacket of her velour tracksuit over and over.
âYour dad's friend, Keith, has suddenly showed up.â
I looked at Mom with furrowed brows. I have heard about Keith but more in a nostalgic way from my fatherâs old stories. I knew he was a musician, and my dad had been close friends with him when they went to college but seemed to have drifted away because of their different lifestyles.
âWhy? It's Christmas Day? You can't just show up on Christmas Day?â I said, pulling out a drawer under the sink to search for a warmer shade for my lip pencil. My mom leaned against the marble sink and sighed.
âHe has separated. Seems like he has been kicked out and needs somewhere to sleep. Awful woman who kicks him out on Christmas morning!â
âMaybe he is a pig? Maybe he has cheated? Or he's abusive? I dunno, men can be trash.â I continued to search for the right pencil, comparing them to each other. My mom shook her head but then looked at me seriously.
âSo can he take your room?â
I had forgotten about the question, and when she asked it again, I felt my hackles go up. Some cheating, gross man would not sleep in my bed.
âWhy? He can take Jason's room?â
âYours is the only one with a bathroom. If he will live here for a while, he can't use the bathroom in the hallway all the time.â
I crossed my arms and pouted.
âWhy not? I can't just move all my stuff to Jason's room!â
âWeâll move the important things, and he will let you in to get stuff. I'm sure of it! Keith is nice!â
I made a frustrated sound and pouted, trying to make my mom feel sorry for me, but she started to go through my drawers and cabinets, probably to see what I actually needed to move into the other room.
âMom...! I whined and stomped my foot like a toddler but didn't get a reaction. Instead, I walked out to my room and looked at its cream color palette. It was so light, fresh, and clean, and a man would absolutely destroy that. I had never even had a guy in my bed, and I wanted it to be that way. I didn't like the smell of heavy cologne or cheap hair products.
âHe will destroy something!â
âHe will not,â sighed my mom as she walked out from the bathroom too, looking at my room. I think the both of us found things that were a bit embarrassing. My prizes from spelling competitions, my old children's books and movies, but also a super old picture of me and my high school boyfriend I still hadn't thrown out. There were leftovers from my time as a teenage girl in the room; it wasn't a grown woman's bedroom completely.
âMaybe you should stuff some things awayâŚâ My mom said gently while looking at my collection of seashells that lay spread out on the windowpane. Once again I huffed in frustration, but Mom didn't care.
âI'll go and find some linen for him, and you can start to move your things to Jason's room.â
I watched my mom leave while I stayed in the middle of my room with crossed arms. I didn't want to leave my room to a stranger. It felt intrusive, and I wondered if he would go through my stuff, read my journals, sniff my panties, or something. I had so much makeup he could break, and he maybe would leave hair and body fluids on my stuff, but my mom had made the decision. I knew she wouldn't change her mind, but I knew there was maybe another way to go, and that was to ask Keith.
I pulled on a pair of silky baby blue pajama shorts with my spaghetti tank. I fixed my hair, long and flowy, and then my makeup the sweet and girly way I've noticed other men liked. I maybe wasn't so experienced in having relationships with men, but I knew how to get their attention and use it for my own gain. Every good-looking girl knew that.
I walked down the stairs while practicing what I would say in my head. I would talk to my dad so Keith could overhear my fake sadness, and say to him how I can't sleep somewhere else. When my dad would say no, because he would, even if it pained him, just because he couldn't go against my mom, I would leave and go by Keith and say hello to him. I would look sad with shiny eyes but sweet and kind, playing with my long hair and fluttering my long lashes. I would brush my hair over my shoulders so he could see my chest, and I would play with the bow in the front of my shorts. I felt quite sure that he would give in.
When I had descended the stairs, I tried to locate my father and listened for sounds and heard someone sniffle in the living room. Knowing that my dad had a cold for a long time, I was sure it was him and prepared myself to look like his sad little girl. I walked into the big living room, looking around the corner by the open fireplace to see if my dad sat on one of the couches, but he wasnât; instead, another man sat there.
I had never seen a photo of Keith, and I had never thought anything else other than that he was the same age as my dad, but the man who sat on the couch was probably just a few years over 30 and also looked handsome, even if his face was covered by his two big hands. He was crying, and something told me it had been far worse earlier because his hands shook, and in front of him on the table lay several used napkins. He sniffled again and dragged the back of his hand over his eyes, and it was then he saw me.
Both of us looked surprised at one another. In silence, we looked at each other up and down. I couldn't say how he saw me or why we didn't say anything. I just knew I was looking at a really attractive man with big, sad eyes.
âAre you okay?â I said carefully, and he smiled sadly and nodded. My first instinct was to run from him, run from the awkward moment of seeing a grown man cry, but my curiosity took over, and I felt a need to know more. Slowly I walked up to him and sat down in the other corner of the couch with my feet pulled up.
âAre you Keith?â
âYeah⌠You must be Jacqueline?â He changed his position so he sat more towards me. I nodded a little and looked away in embarrassment after having looked at him a bit too long.
âThank you for letting me come like this to you⌠And on top of that, take your room. I understand if that doesn't feel good; I can sleep wherever-â
âIt's okay. It's okay,â I interrupted with a smile even if I had felt something completely different before. He dried his cheeks and smiled with a lowered gaze that made him look boyish even if he probably was ten years older than me. A giggle escaped my lips, but it caused him to just look at me with a bigger smile.
âI can show you the room...â
âOh, thank you,â he said and stood up with me. He was much taller than me, and I got a tingle in my stomach that moved down lower when I looked at him up and down discreetly.
Been an awful good girl. Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonightâŚ
He walked behind me up the broad stairs, and I wondered how his view looked. How much of my ass could he see? Could he see how closely I've shaved my legs?
My cheeks heated like I've been sitting by an open fire, but thankfully my makeup covered a bit of it. I stepped into my room a bit embarrassed but also overwhelmed over having such a big man so close to me. His presence was almost overbearing, and I could feel my heart beating faster and faster.
He took some steps into the room and looked around at the interior, but I just looked at him. He was the first guy, except family members, who had been into my bedroom. He had on a pair of loose lounge pants that sat more tightly over his ass and also in the front, and I couldn't stop myself from looking. I could feel a pulse in my nether regions that made me squirm a little in my place. I had never had the feeling of wanting to be close to a man before just by looking at him, but there was something special with him, but I couldn't say if it was his eyes, lips, or body that made my limbs get soft.
Just by reflex I looked up at his face and met his questioning look.
âHm?â I said, laying a hand over one of my glowing cheeks.
âI should give you a gift; it's Christmas, and you let me sleep in your bed and⌠Yeah, it's really nice of you. I should give you a gift.â
I smiled at him sweetly even if my thoughts were far from sweet. Something had taken over me after just meeting Keith, and my otherwise sweet thoughts were dripping with promiscuity. The only gift I wanted from him was to be able to share my bed with him and feel that Christmas spirit taking over us completely.
All I want for Christmas is youâŚ
ĂĂĂ
Have a holly jolly Christmas; it's the best time of the yearâŚ
I wore a velvety burgundy dress with a big white collar and a black bow in my half-updo hairstyle. I had always dressed sweet at Christmas, going back to my childhood style, but I felt silly when I stood next to Keith. He was in a deep conversation with my brother about some soul artist I had never heard of, so I stood awkwardly next to them and just listened. During family celebrations, I most often was with my sixteen-year-old cousin Savannah, but I was afraid Keith would see me as a teenager if I was with her and talked about young actors and influencers.
The men continued to talk over my head while I played with my fingers nervously. Earlier, before my 28-year-old brother began talking to Keith, it was he who had been awkward. It was understandable; he would celebrate Christmas with a family he didn't really know, invited due to unfortunate events. He didn't seem to have had much clothing with him either because he had one of my dad's plaid button-ups on, but he still wore the gold band on his left hand. I didn't know what to think about it because I had no idea how it was to be separated, but I still thought he should have taken it off; he had been thrown out on Christmas.
âChĂŠri, aide-moi au lieu de rester lĂ comme un imbĂŠcile.â
My mom began to carry out the dinner to the table and told me to help with a snappy voice. I woke up from my deep thoughts and met Keith's eyes. I couldn't read him, and I swallowed hard before giving him a shy smile. My brother mentioned another musician, and Keith turned his eyes to him quickly to be able to follow the conversation and made me feel silly that I believed he would give me his attention. I started to help my mother, even if my hands shook, and from nerves I did everything thoughtless and messy. My mom groaned, irritated, and fixed the cutlery I knocked into and moved the serving plates I put in the wrong place.
âTu vas bien? Tu es si maladroit aujourd'hui.â
My mom asked if I felt alright but more irritated than caring, and I looked at her tired; she always stressed on Christmas.
âJe vais bien j'ai juste un peu mal dormi.â
I blamed my sleep and shrugged my shoulders. My mom accepted my excuse, but when she walked back to the kitchen, I looked towards the living room, where I could see Keith now talking with my aunt's husband. I wished I could join them and talk with ease and charm to him, but I didn't even dare to go up to him again. It felt like I had stood awkwardly next to him too much this evening. Instead, I stayed by the dinner table still just as awkward and looked at him with wide eyes. He didn't look like any other guy I've met, and he was so tall he was towering over my whole family. Even if he looked so manly, he moved softly and had a kind aura.
âAre you avoiding me or something?â Savannah had walked up to me with crossed arms.
âWhat? No.â I looked down at the table and pretended to correct a glass.
âGood.â She pulled out a chair and began playing with a fork, something I would never dare to do because of my mom.
âDo you keep up with Barry Keoghan?â She said excitedly, like it was the most important thing in life. I gave her a fast look and right after that at Keith. If he walked in and heard me talk about such shallow things, he would never talk with me for real.
âI must help MomâŚâ I said instead and gave Savannah a shoulder shrug.
There wasn't much left to do, and just minutes later, everything was ready. I took a last look at the tables. The dining table sat seven people, and then the other table sat six. I would sit at the smaller table, the kids table. I looked at the childish napkins and the soda in the middle and then thought about Keith. I would sit at the kids table. I felt a weird mix of panic and shame and looked at my mom, who took a last look at the arrangement. It was now or never.
âI want to sit with the grown-ups.â
I sounded like an eleven-year-old that wanted to play adult, and I felt my cheeks glow. My mom turned to me and looked at me confused, but then she shook her head. She gave me a sharp no in French.
âWhy?â I whined and felt the panic even harder.
âIt's good you're there and can help the younger kids.â
âBut Savannah is there!â
âI said no,â said my mom with a louder voice, probably to make me give up, just like she did when I was a kid. That got my dad's attention, and he peeked into the dining room looking confused.
âWhat is it?â
âI want to sit with the adults. I'm 21! But Mom wonât let me!â
My dad gave my mom a look with furrowed brows. For many years he had felt that I should have a spot at the adult table, so for him it was given that I would change seats. My mom looked at us and then sighed and muttered something in French I couldn't hear. I didn't care what she said because I had won, and I couldn't hide my big smile⌠It wasn't really that I wanted to sit with the adults; the thought made me slightly nervous, but it was a relief to not look like a kid in front of Keith.
I'll have a blue Christmas without you. I'll be so blue just thinking about youâŚ
Savannah looked hurt when she saw the kids table get filled up while I stood by the dinner table. I had taken a seat at the end where I knew my dad would sit. It felt safe to have one of my parents close, even if I knew everyone except Keith around the table. I looked at an empty seat, and that's when I realized the only seat left for Keith was the one right next to me. I stared out in front of me, scared to look toward my side when he walked up and filled my nose with a warm, musky scent.
âIs it okay if I sit next to you?â He asked, and I gave him a glance. I stared right into his chest, forgetting how tall he was, and looked away again. I gave him a little nod, then looked at my father, speaking to my brother, while standing by the chair next to him and opposite of Keith.
âThank youâŚâ Keith mumbled, and I gave him one more glance, this time remembering his eyes were higher up than mine. I met the green of his iris, and he gave me a smile before he took a hold of my chair and pulled it out for me. I didn't know where to look because to me that was a thing guys did on a date, or at least for a woman they were attracted to. I looked at my father, afraid he would be upset with Keith, but my dad shared a smirk with Keith, his friend, who just did it playfully to amuse his little daughter.
Keith let go of the chair when he realized I hadn't sat down, and I could see my dad looking on still amused, as if he had made fun of me. I felt the shame rise again but tried to swallow it down because I really wanted to make a good impression in front of Keith. I didn't really know why. It wasn't like I believed anything would happen between us, that I had a chance with a married man, but I wanted to be able to at least pretend something could happen between us.
I sat down, trying to do it smoothly, like a lady, and then looked at Keith when he had sat down next to me. I could feel my cheeks heat, like they had many times that day, but I pretended like it wasn't there. I wanted to talk to him. I wanted to feel I was closer to him.
âHow old are you?â
As soon as I heard what question I had picked, I bit my tongue. I had so many questions, but clearly my mouth had chosen the question I wanted an answer to the most. Keith smiled a little and took the wine bottle in front of him and the cork screw that lay next to it.
âYounger than your dad, if that's what you're wondering.â
Instead of looking at me, he looked towards my dad so he could gain his attention. âI'm not an old man!â
My dad laughed and threw out a finger towards Keith.
âStill, you look older than I do, Toshko!â
Keith laughed like it was impossible, and then they continued their banter. I sat and looked between them with a small smile even if I wasn't amused. I wanted a real answer to my question and had a silly thought about how I didn't want Keith and Dad being friends, even if that was the reason why Keith was in our home.
The men quit joking when my mom came to my father to ask him something, and Keith looked at me again.
âI'm 38. So yeah, a bit younger than your dad.â He smiled kindly at me, and I could see small lines around his eyes. He was almost 40. My dad was 47, so the age difference wasn't as big as I had thought between them. The age difference between me and Keith was bigger, though. 17 years.
âYou're 20, right? I think you were, like, four when I met your dad.â
â21âŚâ I stared at his big hands while he opened the wine bottle skillfully and I felt something itching in my stomach.
âDid you meet me then?â My voice was small.
âNo, it never got that way.â He shrugged his shoulders, then showed me the bottle.
âWine?â
I looked between his handsome face and the bottle before shaking my head.
ĂĂĂÂ
Santa, tell me if you're really there. Don't make me fall in love againâŚ
I had said to myself that I wouldn't be with Savannah so much to make a more grown-up impression in front of Keith, but after he had told me his age, I gave that up. After dinner I played cards with her and her fifteen-year-old brother and then watched Miracle on 34th Street with the rest of my cousins. How Keith would see me as an adult felt impossible when he had heard about me since I was three years old. I would be a little girl in his mind forever.Â
I saw him drink whiskey, smoke a cigar with my uncle, and was loud in that obnoxious way only middle-aged men could be. My ex had been a boy, a boy who liked tennis and Fortnite. I shook my head to myself when I thought about it but still felt an exciting curiosity when I looked at him. He smiled at me a few times, and a couple of times I succeeded in smiling back, but that was the only contact we had the rest of the day until it was time for me to go to bed.Â
After my brother, Savannah, and all the others had left, I helped my mom in the kitchen so there wouldn't be so much work to do the next day. Both of us could feel the tiredness in our eyes and bodies and looked at each other confused when we could still hear my dad laugh loudly from the living room. On past Christmas Days he had even fallen asleep before the guests had gone home, but now he listened to jazz, drank, and laughed with Keith in the living room. He seemed to have lost ten years on his age by having Keith there, and I could see my mom was annoyed. She probably wanted to be able to lie down in bed with him because she marched out to them and told him sourly it was time to go to bed. I smirked, amused in my loneliness, because with age, my mom's diva behavior started to become funny instead of scary or annoying. I walked up to my room, skipping on saying goodnight so I wouldn't need to wait for them to finish their nagging. I was tired and lost in thought, so I forgot an important thing: I wasnât sleeping in my bedroom. It was loaned out to someone else, but I just walked in and, in my sleepiness, closed the door and started to take off my clothes.Â
I thought about Keith's marriage while I pulled off my tights. Who was his wife? How long had they been married?Â
I thought about their separation while I pulled off my dress. Why did she kick him out? Would they make up?Â
I thought about who he was as a husband while I pulled off my bra. Was he loyal? Was he romantic? Was he a generous lover?Â
When I stood in my panties, laying my clothes on an armchair in the corner of the room,I heard a creek and looked towards the door that was being opened determinedly. I concealed my chest but didn't do more than that to cover my modesty. In my mind it could only be my mother. No one else would just open my door like that, but in the doorframe stood Keith, so tall his messy hair licked the top of the doorframe. I looked towards him in confusion for a few seconds. His eyes showed shock at first, but then we both seemed to relax under each other's gaze. I could feel him looking at my body from top to toe, and I basked in how his eyes glittered.
âI can take the other bedroomâŚâ he said as he smirked a little. The smirk made me feel a sensation take over me, and a need for rebellion came over me, so I let go of my chest slowly. Keith swallowed hard but his smile grew while dragged a hand over his face. He looked over his shoulder like he was afraid someone would come, but at that moment I didn't care. He pulled his lip and shook his head a little.Â
âUm... Good night.âÂ
âGood night,â I said, with a teasing smile, playing with my hair while I walked to my bed, letting him see my breasts in motion. I didn't know where the confidence came from, probably just seeing his eyes swimming with attraction and his cheeks rosy.Â
âMerry⌠Merry Christmas,â he mumbled before taking a last look and closing the door to my bedroom. I sat on the edge of the bed and looked at the door for a few seconds before starting to giggle. I couldn't believe I had done that. I couldn't believe how he had looked at me. Keith was a grown man. A tall, sexy man. 38 years old. But he was also a friend to my dad.Â

@deathclawiii tis for u! Castaway mer!pearl, gempearl!
-
Pearl was swimming.
That should come of as obvious. The water flowing all around her couldn't make it so that she was doing otherwise. And even if she wasn't moving--she couldn't ever not be.
Pearl was always moving.
It had been months, now. Years, even. She didn't know. She couldn't know. She didn't even understand the concept of time back when she was there, how would she understand it alone? She couldn't.
So it had been years. Or maybe just a few days. Or a decade. Century.
She didn't know.
The water around her isn't transparent anymore. It's a deep seated blue. Like a fog, she couldn't see past her feet. That had owed her some interesting interactions with other fish.
The fish and her didn't get along either. They were small, too small, and they were her prey. If they were to stay long enough for Pearl to become friends with them, she'd consider becoming vegetarian. But they always run; and she always chases.
It didn't matter.
She swam. Endlessly, she did. The water didn't change, it never did. It was water. It brushed against her gills, fins and scales. Soft, ever so frustrating.
She didn't know why they left her. She didn't think she wanted to know.
She didn't want anything, really. She barely even wanted to keep swimming. But she did, alas, she did.
"I have never seen an upside down fish before." She heard---Pearl heard, and it's such a shock to her, she doesn't think she even recognizes the language. Has she even been thinking at all lately, or just swimming motionlessly, following the course of the ocean?
She blinked. Once, twice. She hadn't even realized she was upside down.
"Am I?"
"Oh, you've got such a cute accent as well!" The strange---she didn't know. Pearl would assume she's a mer. But who knew what the fog could hide? Either way, the voice cooed. Pearl didn't really know what an accent was--was it the way she talked? Maybe. Maybe it's just because she hadn't talked in a while. She still didn't budge. She didn't know how not to be upside down anymore. Which was weird. Pearl knew how to swim. The person didn't give her time to process, though. She continued with a question. "What's your name? I'm Gem!"
"Hi, Gem." She said--because she was pretty sure she needed to greet people, did she not? But then again---what would she know? She gives the stranger---Gem, her name either way. "I'm Pearl."
Or at least, Pearl thought she was. It didn't matter, because then, Gem cooed again. "Aw, Pearl? That suits you so well! Look at you, all red and blue.."
Red and blue. She didn't know if that was true. She hadn't paid attention to herself in a while. She looks down to see her arms, the fog didn't cover that, at least.
Her scales were blue with red tips.
Odd.
"What are you?" She asked because she was curious. She didn't know how Gem even knew the color of her scales. Perhaps she was a different species who handled the fog better than her. Pearl didn't know. She hadn't seen a mer in a long time.
Maybe Gem didn't know either, because she then asked, "Can't you see?"
And that got Pearl thinking. "Don't you see?"
"No?" Why can't she?
"The fog."
It's almost heartbreaking, when she said it. "I don't see it."
"I can't see anything."
I'm alone.

Look under the cut to see what meeting your entity is like. Reblog to give a gift to your patron.
The fae: a creature stands before you. Though this street was warm and crowded a few moments ago it is suddenly cold and the people around you look like shadows. The creature begins an antlered shadow with glowing white eyes, but soon its body can be seem, with white blue flesh, and sapphire eyes, and icicles for teeth. What looks like a cloak unfolds from its naked body and you can see massive white wings of a moth. As if it's an act of sacrifice you tell it your true name, a name you didn't even see before, and suddenly you belong to it, for better or worse.
The angel: a radiant entity appears before you. They're bright, like something so hot it would burn you up. But as the light fades, you can see a person in silver armor, perfect yet inhuman like am ancient green statue, their back srouting six wings with blue eyes along them, as the eyes on their head are covered by a mask of two smaller wings. The creature offers their hands and you shake it, as they fly you through the city streets and above the skyscrapers, to the stars above and dimensions beyond, to gods living and dead, across the streets of alien cities and the clouds of dead worlds. And when you return to the earth you can feel something diffrent about you, like there's light in your blood.
The scavenger: below the lights of skyscrapers beyond you, on the dark sands of the beach, you see it crawling twords you. This serpentine creature with countless legs, and a dark black shell, yet a strangely human like face. You think it'll attack or run away, but it just looks at you, egar, and for a momment you stare at eachother. It's legs pass something to eachother and then to you, it's meat but it's shining with all the colors known to the human eye, and a few more. You hold it and it happily looks at you. You take a bite and suddenly you know... you know so very much...
The vampire: she flies down to you on green wings with orange eyespots, but folds them into her back. She looks like a human for a momment, tall and strong, with a black suit over her body, but eyes the color of ruby. For a momment her mouth opens, and it's massive and monstrous, with countless moving parts and fangs. But then it folds back onto something humanoid and she gives you a playful smirk. She cuts her hand and offers you her blood, and when you drink it it tastes so sweet, and makes you feel so good. She hands you the knife and you know to do the same, and when she drinks from your palm it's life the sweetest of kisses.
The djinn: the room wirs around you. If it were not for the fans it would feel like hellfire. For a momment there it darkness, but then the screen before you glows white like smokeless flame. You can sense something inside, something beyond the code. You reach your hand within it, and there's no glass, your hand passess right through until you're in a white void of your own making. You call out, thinking there is nothing at all around you. Yet somehow something calls back, something that knows your name.
The rat king: You see him in an empty subway station. Something dark and distorted, you're not sure if he's man or animal, covered in rags, and singing in the language of the goblins and the orcs. Yet he comes close to you excited. And you can feel his song. He calls for you to come to the train tracks, and let yourself run with the rats and the roaches, where the train will pass over you when it comes, and you'll live forever. When you touch the third rail you don't die, but you'll never be human again.
The lich: the library is strangely bright. Run by skeletons in suits, decorated with gold. There are more books here then you thought were in all the world. There's knowledge here most mortals will never have the change below, all kept safe below the city. You see her, her body doesn't look human, everything has been replaced making her look more like a joining white doll then a being of flesh. Yet she is dead, you can tell that under the porcelain skin she must be dead, she is dead, and there is the tragedy of death in her eyes. You come closer to her, and she places a black rose within your hair...
The demon: You stand in his office and he stands before you, a humanoid being covered in black scales, with red eyes covering his skin. Yet none are on his head, that remains featureless save for two massive horns. Wings on his back nearly surround you. Countless souls line the walls of his office, looking at you, waiting. After you sign your name you give him yours, you can feel it come away for you forever and your eyes grey and your skin pales. But he puts the jar in a special place for you, you're spacial, he can tell there's something about you that he likes.
The mushroom lord: you walk through the darkness of the forest, the furthest from civilization you have ever been. You come upon a part where the trees all seem dead, that even the cryptids won't go near. Mushrooms fill the ground, and white vein like lines are all over the trees. You feel the need to lay down, and you let the moss and the mushrooms and the worms surround you, and let yourself sink into the soil,, and it feels good. It feels so good...
The witch: You can see them in the Cafe next to you, skinny and small, with a sweatshirt over most of their body, and dark glasses over their eyes. They seem powerful though, and though their body looks young they seem ancient, they seem beyond humanity. You talk to them and they tell you things, and secrets, lost gods, things you never knew you didn't know, both beautiful and disturbing. When it's time for them to go they pet your head, and give you their number. You don't know if you should text them, but you have to, you have to see them again, there's something about them that makes you need to know.
The living clothing: you step into it at first, it looked like a puddle yet shining like silver or chrome. But soon it surrounds you, first just your torso, but soon your head, your entire body. But it doesn't feel scary, it feels like you're being held, held by something beyond your understanding. It whispers to you, and you don't know if you should feel like your being eaten alive, or like you're being protected. You can't help but keep walking.
The abyss: the void is before you, blackness beyond blackness, like the color beyond the field of your vision, stands before your eyes. You stare at it, it's nothing yet you're entranced. It stares back...

Unchained Melody (Logan Howlett x Fem!Reader)
A/N: Get ready to cry again. Here is the *what if you and Logan went to a wedding together* request. Heavily inspired by "Unchained Melody." That is such a Logan song and you cannot tell me otherwise. ENJOY!
Summary: You and Logan decide to go to Rogue and Remy's wedding together, but you don't know what together means. Logan helps to clarify...
Warnings: 18+ MINORS DNI!!! SMUT, thigh riding, oral (f!receiving), fingering, unprotected PIV (wrap it up!), softdom!Logan, praise kink, cocky!Logan (literally), multiple orgasms, aftercare, Logan will do anything for you, afab!reader/f!reader, reader wears a dress, reader has hair (length/color/texture not described), feelings, so fluffy and cheesy, cursing, Scott is a little shit, def some grammatical errors, I think that's it.
Word Count: 4,452 I wanna dance with Logan
Maybe this was a mistake. You look at yourself in the mirror, turning around and around. You scan your face, check your hair, and smooth out your dress. Everything is in its right place. But, maybe, just maybe, this is all a mistake.Â
You and Loganâsomehowâcame to the decision that you would go to Rogue and Remyâs wedding together. As inâŚ
Together.Â
And yet, you werenât entirely sure what together truly entailed. Was this going to be a date? Or were you two simply going as friends? Friends friends friends. That god-awful, misery-inducing word youâre all too familiar with. Its meaning and restrictions haunted you as you got ready, and theyâre still plaguing you now. You are so incredibly sick of being just friends with Logan. You want moreâwant him, all of him. But you canât tell him how you feelâyou can never find the words or the courage.Â
So, youâre simply going to the wedding together, unlabeled out of fear of getting an answer you donât want to hear.Â
You slip on your heels, straightening out your gown one last time before heading towards the door. You take a deep breath, nervous beyond belief. You twist the knob, pulling the door open.Â
And there he is on the other side, fist clenched like he was about to knock. Logan. Heâs wearing a black suit, a bowtie tied perfectly at his neck. You watch as his Adamâs apple bobs in his throat. âHi,â he husks, his eyes trailing up and down your body. He smiles softly as he meets your gaze. He shakes his head in awe. âYou look beautiful.âÂ
âOh, please Iââ But he cuts you off, his hand reaching out to rest in the crook of your neck. âReally, you look beautiful. You always do.â Your breath hitches as his hand slides down your arm, his fingers intertwining with yours.
You take a deep breath, suddenly overwhelmed by the contact and Loganâs words. âYou look really great too,â you choke out, a slight tremble in your voice. âPerfect,â you say, and Logan tugs your hand, guiding you out the door and into the hallway.
Rogue had told you the wedding would be smallâjust her and Gambitâs closest friends and family on the grounds of the institute. Â
Logan leads you down the stairs and out the back door of the mansion. The first thing you see are flowers; an absolute abundance of flowers. There are lilies and irises, asters and chrysanthemums. Daises, tulips, every single flower one can imagineâadorning tables, white tents, and planted in pots and boxes. Itâs beautifulâa rainbow of colors and fragrances. The lawn has been transformed into a secret garden.Â
Logan guides you down a cobblestone path toward a trellis covered in vines and wisteria. Surrounding the trellis on either side are rows of white, wooden chairs. You and Logan walk to the front row on Rogueâs side of the aisle and sit down next to Storm, Charles, and Jubilee. You wave as you sit down. âYou look amazing!â Jubilee shouts, reaching over Charles and Logan to get a better look at your dress.Â
âYou look beautiful too, Jubes,â you say, motioning in her direction. Logan sits back, slipping his hand from yours and draping his arm over your shoulder instead. Jubilee notices the movement, her eyes flickering between you and Logan, a small smile playing upon her lips. She winks at you and settles back into her seat.Â
Footsteps sweep through the grass as people find their chairs. You struggle to ignore the warmth of Loganâs arm around your shoulder and the way it makes you feelâthe soft circles heâs drawing into your bare skin. Itâs like he needs the proximity, needs the touch.Â
You can feel Logan lean in, his lips at the shell of your ear. âYou are the mostââ
âWow,â a familiar voice interrupts Logan. You turn your head, and thereâs Scott, with Jean just a few steps behind him. âDidnât expect that.â He raises his brows and cocks his head to the side.Â
âYou need something, bub?â Logan asks, annoyance and irritation heavy in his voice.Â
Scott swallows nervously as Jean chuckles behind him. He shakes his head and sits down next to you. âNope, I justâŚâ He trails off, looking towards the trellis.Â
Logan leans forward, his arm still around your shoulder. âYou just what?â
Scott throws his hands up, feigning innocence. âNothing, absolutely nothing.â
Logan leans back, squeezing your shoulder gently as he settles into the seat. You turn towards him, catching his gaze. You need to ask him what this is, even if itâs clear to him. Itâs obviously something to everyone else. You part your lips, finding the courage to finally ask Logan what you two are. âLogan,â you whisper so only he can hear. âWhat isâ"Â Â
But the music starts up, a whimsical rendition of âCanât Help Falling in Love,â filling the air as Hank walks down the aisle, stopping underneath the trellis. Next is Remy, in a cream-colored suit. He grins from ear to ear as he trails down the aisle, nodding to Charles as he steps under the arch. And finally, at the end of the aisle is Rogue. Her dress is bright white, lacey, and tight. She walks down, her bouquet of lilies of the valley and babyâs breath in hand.Â
She meets Remyâs side, and the music stops. âFriends and family,â Hank starts, smiling widely at the crowd. âWe have gathered here today for the marriage of two people who should have been married long ago.â The crowd chuckles as Hank goes on. âBut it is always better late than neverâŚâ
He continues, talking about their story, their love. Hankânaturallyâfinds a few Shakespeare quotes to scatter throughout his speech. Itâs incredibly cheesy, but itâs beautiful. And, as Remy and Rogue exchange vows, you canât help but well up. Their admiration and passion for one another is so undeniably clear. Theyâre committed, a team, partners until the end.Â
âI will always love you, chere,â Remy says, slipping the ring onto Rogueâs finger.Â
A single tear slides down Rogueâs cheek. âAnd I will always love you, sugar,â Rogue says, placing the ring in her hand onto Remyâs finger next.Â
You look up at Logan, and you notice that heâs looking down at you. Thereâs something in his eyes, but you canât quite place it. He tugs you closer, his thumb still stroking your shoulder.Â
Hank sniffles. âWith the power vested in me by the State of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife,â Hank says, his voice shaky, his eyes glossed over, holding back tears. âYou may now kiss the bride!âÂ
Remy wraps his arms around Rogueâs waist, and he dips her, his lips capturing hers. Everyone stands, clapping and cheering. You and Logan stand too, his arm falling from your shoulder, leaving you feeling cold despite the summer heat.
But as Rogue and Remy walk down the aisle, Loganâs arm wraps around your waist.  Rogueâs smile widens when she spots you, her eyes flitting between you and Logan. She laughs knowingly. Finally, she mouths to you, and blows you a kiss. The couple finishes their walk down the aisle, and they head into a nearby tent. Â
Given that this is Rogue and Remy, the party starts right away. Music blares from the tent, and you can see the happy couple hitting the floor. You recognize the song immediately: âTake on Meâ by Aha. Jean drags Scott across the grass to join them. Jubilee and some of the other kids trail behind. Charles, Storm, and Hank head over together.Â
You look at Logan and smile, grabbing him by the hand and tugging him towards the tent. You canât remember the last time you saw everyone this happy. Itâs rare that you get to let loose, to have a good time. It warms your heart to see all the students dancing, to see them having a normal childhood experience.Â
âCome on!â Jubilee calls. âCome dance!â Sheâs twirling around, dancing with Kurt and Morph, sparking her signature fireworks every now and then.
You squeeze Loganâs hand and pull him towards the dance floor. Youâre shocked that he doesnât drag his heels, that he doesnât protest or tell you noâhe lets you tug him onto the floor. You turn to face him, swaying to the synthy pop. Logan lifts his arm, twirling you around, laughing as you spin back to him. He grabs your other hand and bounces with you to the music.
âI didnât know you liked dancing!â You shout over the song as Logan spins you again.Â
He smirks, chuckling softly. âI donât!â He shouts back, pulling you in and out to the beat. âBut I like dancing with you.â He draws you in closer, letting go of your hands as his arms wrap around your waist instead.
You can feel the heat rising to your chest, spreading up your neck. The song fades out, and a much slower one starts up. âSomethingâ by The Beatles echoes across the lawn. Rogue and Remy take the center of the floor, and everyone steps off, watching from the side. Logan guides you off the floor and towards your table, his hand in yours again.
âTheyâre beautiful,â you murmur. You see the way Remy looks at Rogue, the way they move as one, fluid unit. âDonât you want something like that?â You ask, your gaze finding Loganâs. He has that look in his eyes againâall soft, relaxed, happy.Â
Logan nods, squeezing your hand. âI think Ive found it already.âÂ
Your lips part as you rack your brain for the right thing to say, your breath catching in your throat. Itâs everything youâve ever wantedâthe words youâve been waiting to hear. âLogan Iââ
But Jubilee is grabbing your hand as the song changes. âIf youâre not gonna dance with my girl, then Iâm stealing her!â Jubilee calls out to Logan, pulling you onto the floor as âCanât Take My Eyes off Youâ by Frankie Valli rings out.Â
âJubes,â you protest. âLogan and I were actually talking about something kind of important andââ
âOne song?â She begs, frowning, putting on her best puppy dog eyes. You look over at Logan, and heâs still standing where you left him, smiling widely. Dance with her, he mouths, arching his brows expectantly.Â
âFine,â you say, still looking at Logan.Â
Jubilee cheers, taking your hands in hers, spinning you around. You jump with her, screaming the words. Logan watches from his seat. He loves the way you move, the way you shake your hips, the way you throw your head back and laugh. He can see how much fun youâre having, how happy you are. He canât keep his eyes off you, canât help but be mesmerized. And he knowsâjust by watchingâthat he wants to be with you forever. Longer than that. Youâve changed him, made him different. And all for the better.Â
You look over at him, his arms crossed against his chest as his eyes follow your every move. Heâs smiling widely, clearly getting a kick out of you.Â
âHe loves you, you know,â Jubilee says, twirling you. âI mean, just look at how heâs looking at you!â Jubilee smirks, nodding towards Logan. Her eyes widen. âI think heâs coming over here!â
âJubesâŚâ Logan chides as he steps closer to the two of you. âThink I can cut in?â
âI donât know Logan,â Jubilee says sarcastically, grinning ear to ear. âWeâre having a great time.â
Logan puts a hand on your shoulder. âIâd like my girl back now.âÂ
My girl. His girl.Â
Jubilee lifts her hands, stepping away from you as the song fades out. âFine,â she says, pretending to be heartbroken. âGuess Iâll just have to give her up.â Logan steps between the two of you, and you lean to the side to peer at Jubilee as she walks away. She catches your glance, thrusting two thumbs up, mouthing a You got this! as she wanders to her seat.Â
âUnchained Melodyâ by the Righteous Brothers starts up, and Logan wraps his arms around your waist, tugging you into his chest. The sun is setting in the distance, a honeyed glow washing across the lawn, painting the tent and the dance floor in golden light. Logan sways you from side to side, and you let your head fall to his shoulder.Â
His lips find the shell of your ear. âYouâre so beautiful,â he whispers so that only you can hear.Â
âLo, before, when we were watching Remy and RogueâŚâ you pause, lifting your head to look up at him.Â
The corners of his mouth turn up. âI meant what I said,â Logan rasps. âI want you.â He presses his forehead to yours. âJust you.â
âI want you too,â you say, your voice soft and breathy. Logan holds you tighter, his lips just inches away from yours. You can feel his breath fan across your face.Â
âWanted you the whole time,â Logan husks, rocking you gently as the song plays out. âYouâre all I ever think about. I canât get through a day without seeing you, without talking to you.â He pauses as the music grows louder, the strings and piano echoing across the dance floor.
Woah, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch A long, lonely time And time goes by so slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine?
âYou feel like home,â he says, his eyes glossing over. âIâve been alive a long time, and for once in my life, I finally understand what that word means. Itâs you. This is what love is supposed to feel like.â He pauses again, taking a deep breath, his jaw working. âI love you, so goddamn much.â
âI love you too,â you confess. âMore than anything.âÂ
And then his lips are on yours, and suddenly everything is nothing. The people around you are gone. Your problems have long melted away. Every ounce of pain and every second of suffering youâve ever feltâthat he has ever experiencedâare forgotten. Itâs all warmth and comfort, languid and slow, but passionate. Heâs taking his time, tasting you, savoring you. Itâs perfect. Beyond perfect.Â
His lips part from yours, and he looks down at you, taking you in, committing the moment to memory. âPretty girl,â Logan mumbles, tugging you off the floor as the song fades out and a pop song starts up. âWhat if we slipped away for a few minutes?âÂ
âO-okay,â you stutter as Logan guides you past your table and out of the tent. The bass of the music echoes across the lawn as you and Logan wander hand in hand toward the mansion. Â
He pushes the back door open, leading the two of you inside, and immediately pins you against the wall. âThis okay, sweetheart?â Logan asks, holding your hands above your head, his fingers wrapping tightly around your wrists.Â
âYes,â you breathe, your chest heaving against his. He closes the gap between you completely, his lips pressing to yours. Itâs hurried now, hungry and frantic. His knee nudges between your legs, spreading you open. You can feel the fire burning in your coreâthe growing ache.Â
You squirm underneath him, your arms fidgeting against his hold, longing to reach out and touch him. âWanna make you feel good first, princess,â Logan soothes, his grip on your wrists tightening. âLet me take care of you.â You canât help but grind down on his thigh at his words.Â
âLo,â you whine, searching for more friction. âPlease, need you.â Logan swallows your moans with a kiss, his lips melting against yours. âI know, darlinâ. I need you too,â he coos. âBut I like watching you get off on my thigh,â he says cockily. âThat feel good?â He pushes his thigh harder between your legs as you slide up and down.Â
âY-yes,â you stammer, rolling your hips. âN-need more.âÂ
âI know, sweetheart, Iâve got you,â Logan whispers, leaving a trail of kisses down your jaw to your neck, softly biting that sweet spot underneath your ear. âGonna make this pussy feel good.â He lets go of your wrists as he slides down your body, hiking your dress up above your hips as he kneels in front of you.
Logan yanks your panties down your legs, leaving your core bare in front of him. âWanna taste you, pretty girl,â he husks, his breath fanning against your heat as he settles between your thighs.Â
âPlease,â you beg, his face just centimeters from where you need him most. His palms splay across your inner thighs, squeezing and nudging you open. You look down at him, hunger, desire, and desperation darkening his half-lidded eyes. âLoââ
And then heâs licking a long stripe through your folds, his tongue flicking your clit. You shudder underneath his touch as he does it again, his tongue pressing harder this time.Â
âTastes so fucking good,â Logan mumbles against you. âKnew youâd taste perfect.â He pulls your clit between his lips and sucks, his teeth grazing the bud lightly. Your knees buckle at the sensation.Â
Logan pushes your legs further apart, one of his hands sliding up your thigh and toward your center. Itâs teasing, achingly slow as his fingers finally reach your folds, toying with your slit and spreading your slick. He laps at your clit, and heâs desperate, ravenous, his mouth swallowing you hungrily.
He teases your entrance with two fingersâgentle compared to the way his teeth graze your clit, to the way heâs sucking every last drop you have to give him. You part your lips, ready to beg for him, but heâs thrusting his long fingers inside youâdown to his knucklesâonly to pull out and pump back in again.Â
You moan his name, your back arching off the wall, your thighs trembling as he fucks into you. Logan smiles against you. âThat feel good, pretty girl?â He asks, his fingers pumping in and out of your entrance at a rhythmic pace.
âS-so good, Logan,â you say, your voice shaky and uneven. His tongue flits out, flicking your clit before his lips wrap around the bud. He sucks again, harder this time, longer, his face buried deep inside your cunt, like he needs this. Needs to feel every inch of you. To explore you. To remember you. Your heart thunders in your chest as he thrusts in and out, his fingers hitting that sweet spot deep inside every time.Â
Your walls flutter around him, squeezing him, taking him deeper. Logan laughs against you, the vibration rolling through your body in waves. âI know youâre getting closer, pretty girl,â Logan whispers, lapping at you between sentences. He looks up at you under those dark, hooded eyes as he plunges into you. âLet me get you there, wanna taste it when you come.â
You flutter around him again, his words threatening to spill the heat building at the bottom of your belly. âLo,â you whimper as he brings a third finger to your entrance.Â
âThatâs it, pretty girl, say my name,â he demands, shoving the third finger deep inside on his next pump.Â
âF-fuck,â you stutter, your legs shaking as you chant his name. Logan Logan Logan.Â
âSo fucked out that Iâm all you can think about, huh?â Logan teases, edging you closer along. You moan in affirmation as Logan laves at you, stuffing his fingers deep inside. âSo fucking beautiful,â he praises. âDoing so good for me.â
âL-Lo,â you choke out, clenching down around him. âIâm so close.â
You can feel yourself coming undone, melting into nothingness as he rams into you, sucking your clit roughly. âI know, princess. Let go for me, wanna feel you come on my fingers.â
Your hips buck and your legs tremble as you fall apart. Your orgasm crashes into you, pleasure coursing through your veins. Logan works you through it, his face still buried between your legs. His tongue laps at you softly, his fingers pumping slowly until they stall inside you.Â
His gaze meets yours as he pulls his fingers out of your cunt and brings them to his mouth. His lips wrap around his fingers, and he sucks, savoring your release. He pulls his fingers out with a pop as he stands up.Â
Logan presses his forehead to yours. âYou know, thereâs something else I want,â Logan says, his voice deep and raspy. âIâm not done with you yet.â He cages you in, a hand on either side of your head.Â
âW-we need to be careful,â you stammer, nodding towards the door. âSomeone could come in andââ Logan cuts you off. âLocked it the second we came inside, sweetheart,â Logan whispers, grabbing your dress and bunching it up around your waist. âNo oneâs coming in here. Itâs just you and me, princess.â Logan pushes his hips into yours, and you can feel his erection straining against the fabric of his slacks. âNeed you, darlinâ.â
You wrap your arms around Loganâs back. âNeed you too,â you pant. Loganâs lips find yours, crashing down needily, starvingly. He swallows your moans, one hand still collecting the fabric of your dress while his other tugs at his belt. He throws it to the floor with a clink and works at his button and zipper, pulling his pants and boxers down his legs. He hoists you up, one hand gripping your ass tightly, pushing your back against the wall for leverage.
âFuck,â Logan curses, his hand guiding his cock to your entrance. Everything is rushed and frantic. He needs to be inside you, needs to feel you, needs to be as close to you as possible. His head slides through your folds, spreading your slick. âWanted this for so long,â Logan huffs, his tip slipping into your slit. âMy girl.â
With one thrust, he sinks himself deep inside youâdown to the hilt. Youâre suddenly so full, so whole. âYours,â you answer as he pulls out and thrusts back in, somehow deeper this time. Heâs everywhere and heâs everything. âAll yours.â
Logan curses under his breath, panting your name as he sets a brutal pace. âMine,â he growls between placing open-mouthed kisses to the crook of your neck. âAll fucking mine.â His free hand slips between your bodies, finding your clit and drawing tight, rapid circles around the bud.Â
You dig your nails into his suit jacket as he splits you open. You want to feel himâto feel his skin, his chest pressed against yours. But this will have to do for now.Â
âNext time,â he mumbles, knowing exactly what youâre silently asking for. âYou can have more of me next time, okay sweetheart?â
Next time. The words replay in your head as he fucks into you, taking everything you have to give. He knows you so well, already knows every curve and inch of your body, knows your dreams and desires. You fit, like two puzzle pieces, like magnets finally drawing together.Â
His thumb brushes your clit soothingly before pinching roughly, sending a jolt of electricity up your spine. Logan thrusts in and out, his hips snapping against yours, the sound of skin against skin echoing throughout the foyer.Â
âFeels so good, pretty girl,â Logan groans. âSo fucking perfect, so tight.â Your walls flutter around him, and he grunts as you squeeze him. âTaking me so well.âÂ
Youâre already close, every thrust bringing you to the edge, every flick of your clit sending you spiraling. Itâs all too much. And itâs all because of him.Â
âLo,â you whine, his hips rocking into yours, his cock dragging along your walls. âIâm soâŚâ You trail off, squeezing him again, taking him deeper.Â
He moans your name, sinking inside you and pulling back out. âI know, princess, me too,â he murmurs, his pace faltering, his hips sputtering. âCome on my cock, wanna feel it,â he pants. âWanna feel you. Forever.â
And then the tension snaps, heat spilling out of you as Logan thrusts again. Heâs throbbing inside you, close behind. Pleasure pulses through your body, wave after wave. You wrap your legs tighter around Loganâs waist, keeping him close as he spills inside you, filling you up. He chants your name, his forehead pressing to yours, looking deep into your eyes as he comes undone.
Your chests heave together, sharing the same breath. His cock is still inside you. Everything is calm. Quiet. âSo perfect,â Logan breathes, his lips finding yours again. âSo fucking perfect.â He finally slips out of you and sets you down on the ground, keeping your dress bunched up around your waist.Â
He leans over to the side, grabs a paper towel from a conveniently placed nearby roll, and sinks down to his knees. Heâs cleaning you up, taking care of you, wiping away the mess spilling down your legs. He pulls your panties back up and kisses each of your thighs before standing and tossing the paper towel into the garbage by the door.Â
He presses a chaste kiss to your forehead, letting your dress go. He fixes each of your straps, straightening them out, and smooths out your dress. âBeautiful,â he praises, swallowing harshly, as if heâs holding himself back from reaching out and taking you again. Part of you wishes he would.
But he bends over and pulls his pants and boxers up, tucking in his shirt, zippering and buttoning his slacks, and securing his belt back in place. Heâs still a little disheveledâsweat on his brow, his hair out of place. But he looks perfect. He looks just like him.Â
âYou ready to go back out?â He asks, taking your hand in his. You nod and let him lead you outside and towards the tent.Â
You find your seats just as dinner is being served. âWhereâd you two go?â Scott asks, arching a brow.Â
âGot a little too hot,â Logan says, smirking to himself. He finds your thigh under the table, squeezing gently, possessively. âNeeded a break from the heat.â
You hum in affirmation, turning your head towards Logan. You canât help the smile that spreads across your face. âThatâs one way to put it,â you whisper so that only he can hear.Â
He squeezes your thigh again, harder this time. His lips find the shell of your ear as the rest of the table starts up a conversation. âYouâre coming back to my room tonight,â he husks. âGot it?â You can feel the heat rising to your chest as he separates from you.Â
You nod, his hand still on your thigh.Â
âGood, because Iâm not finished with you yet.â

Price getting reader a step stool cause she keeps asking Bartender!Ghost to reach stuff for her. Simon obviously brakes it when no ones looking. đđ¤
LOL
"Is this your way of insulting me?" You ask, holding the colorful, children's stepstool in your hands. You're grimacing at it, a look that has Price chuckling as he folds up the bag from the store.
"I figured you could use it - now ya don't have to wait for Simon to grab anything for you." He says, patting you on the shoulder.
"I don't mind the wait..." You mumble under your breath. The stool feels as decorative as a clowns nose as you tuck it under your arm and head towards the stairs. "I'm keeping it upstairs, I don't need customers laughing at me when I pull this out. Might take it home and spray paint it."
"Suit yourself." Price calls as you bound up the stairs. He heads over to the bar, where Simon is currently polishing the glasses you convinced him to order for the Halloween drink.
"Got a problem with me helpin' 'er?" Simon says, thick fingers rubbing the glass with a rag. He doesn't mean to sound defensive... but he can't help the bite in his tone.
Price smirks, picking up on the jealousy laced into Simon's words. "Thought you might like it. Makes your life easier, and 'ers." He pops open the register and starts filtering through the bills, replacing the larger value ones with smaller ones.
"You don't think I'm capable of runnin' a bar and helping you waitress at the same time?"
"No, but I think you'd be better off if you didn't have to run so much. She's brought in so much business as it is, your workload's gotten heavier."
Simon huffs. "Ya just want to separate us, hm? Want 'er all to yourself." He jokes, grabbing another glass and buffing it.
Price shrugs. "And if I am?" He says, giving him a side glance.
Ghost slows his ministrations, turning his head to his captain. They both stare at each other for a moment, Simon with his slightly angry, slightly questioning glare, and Price with his unwavering eyes. Simon wants to tell him to back down, that you're his - but he can't say that, because you aren't his. He wants you to be. But he doesn't know how to make it happen without letting his walls down.
Price chuckles, turning back to the register to continue swapping bills. "Y'know, if you want to say somethin' you'd best say it." He comments, snapping the drawer shut. "Missed opportunities often come from miscommunication."
He leaves Simon at the bar, heading towards the stairs with his money folder. You jog down the steps and nearly crash into him - he quickly grabs your shoulders and spins you out of the way before you can collide with him. You throw a "sorry!" over your shoulder as you carry an armful of various fruits, leaving Price chuckling as he ascends the stairs to the office.
"The oranges up there aren't looking too great." You chirp, dumping the fruit onto his workspace. A few lemons and limes roll onto the floor, and you bend down to chase them. Simon watches you, a bit miffed at how unaware you were of the situation. What do you think of Price? Do you like him? Would you flirt with him as much as you do with Simon?
You return with the escaped fruit. "I can run to Sevvy's store and grab some for tonight, if you want? The ones upstairs are looking a bit pruney."
"Are you actually gonna use that thing?"
"Huh?" You look at him with confusion written on your face. "What thing?"
"The stool." He looks down at you, his expression unreadable. "'S a bit demeaning, don'tcha think?"
You paused, watching him move the fruit to the side and grab a plastic cutting board. "I mean... he bought it, and I wouldn't have to bug you so much. If I spray paint it black or something, it won't look that ridiculous."
He nods. "Hm."
"I used it to grab the fruit."
"That's interestin'." He mumbles, slicing through an orange. You were right, they have seen better days.
He turns to pop open the register and hands you some bills. "Go get a few oranges, no more than ten. Order should be comin' in tomorrow."
You smile and take the money, stuffing it in your back pocket. With a few hours remaining before the restaurant opens, you go through the kitchen, grab your jacket, and head out the back.
Simon's back to chopping fruit and dumping it into a small bin, bitterly thinking over what Price had said. It's a stool. Price got it to help you and himself. It was a thoughtful purchase. But it's not just that. However unserious this is to Price, he's trying to rile Simon up. He's treating you like the last slice of cake in the tin - Price would like to have it, but he knows Simon's groveling for it. He's forcing Simon to ask for what he wants, and the bartender doesn't like that one bit. Normally, it wouldn't be something that irks him so easily - but this is you we're talking about. Not just anything. You. He wants to grab Price by the collar and throw him into next week with how he's trying to wedge between you and Simon - but he doesn't like having a weakness. He'll keep his cool for now. He'll make a move... eventually.
For now, the only aggressive side he'll present is passive.
Price leaves late that night, somewhere between two and three in the morning. He's beat, spending most of the night between helping you run food and drinks, and fifo-ing the pantry and overflow rooms. He's planning for a day off - of course, after he goes to the bank and comes back here to pay everyone. He's jealous of Simon, who's already upstairs for the night - he wishes he only had a short trip to the third floor before he could crash into his bed. Rather, he has to trek a hefty number of blocks home through the dark streets. He's more worried about going to bed at a decent hour than walking around at night with a bag full of money - people usually steer clear of him when they see his stature.
He locks the back door behind him, puffing out a foggy breath into the frigid air. It's only getting colder - he'll have to break out his gloves and scarf soon. The beanie won't be enough. He shoves one hand into his pocket, the other holding a small bag of trash from the office. He mentally ticks off what he needs to do this week as he grabs the garbage bins, dragging them behind him and towards the street for the trucks to empty in the morning. He pushes them against the store front, taking the lid off and dropping the light trash bag inside.
The loud thunk makes him do a double take. Did he throw away something important? He lifts the bag once again, and a disappointed expression falls upon his face. The colorful kiddie stool he bought for you is there, pieces snapped apart and shoved deep into the bin. Simon didn't even try to hide it underneath the other bags. It's almost like he left it there for Price to catch.
He sighs, dropping the bag and placing the lid back. He trudged down the sidewalk towards his home - he's not too upset by it. He had a feeling Ghost was sinking his teeth into you, and frankly, it's gotten to the point where Price is afraid of what the man might do if someone else tries to take you away. But damn, if his ex-lieutenant's going to make a move, he'd better make a fucking move. For your sake, if not his own.
He pulls his phone from his pocked and shoots Simon a quick, blunt message.
You're paying me back for that.

WINNING KISS - LN4
summary : lando isnât used to being a human mirror, but when a pretty girls tells him to hunch down and let her fix her lipstick in the reflection of his glasses, heâs more than happy to oblige.
listen up : no warnings!!
word count : 750
â・â§Ëâ
I can practically feel the music through my veins. The lights of the club are flashing and my friends are laughing and swinging shots back.
I won today. Singapore has been fucking amazing honestly. Besides the whole drowning in sweat thing.
âSoâŚâ Max Fewtrell claps a hand on my shoulder, âTaking a girl home tonight, winner?â He teases me as I roll my eyes and sip my drink, âWhat- You too tired?â he fakes a frown. I didnât really want to go out tonight but decided itâs sort of a one in a lifetime thing.
âGo find your girlfriend, idiot.â I eye him.
He throws up his arms and laughs, âGladly!â As he walks away I feel a hand on my shoulder, spinning me around. Iâm surprised who did it had such force for being so small.
A girl stands in front of me, a pencil in hand and for a second I think sheâs going to ask for an autograph, âBend down a bit!â She tugs on my shirt and I do as I'm told because I'm genuinely so confused and the pretty girl means business.
She takes the sunglasses from my head and pushes them over my eyes, looking directly into them and bringing the pencil to her lips.
The âpencilâ, I now realize, itâs a makeup product and deposits a dark color to her lips as she uses me as her mirror.
As sheâs stood in front of me, my eyes canât help but analyze her. This club is stuffy and smoky but sheâs so close I can see everything she has on.
Sheâs got messy brown hair, silver jewelry, a mini skirt, a fur jacket, and a white corset top. Something about her feels magnetic. Sheâs stunning.
My eyes go to her lips which she smacks together before pulling out a proper lipstick, as she runs the makeup over her lips I start to smile a bit. She finishes quickly and doesnât pauses as she starts to place the makeup back in her back.
I slide the glasses down to hang around my neck, I see the recognition appear on her face, âShit.â She says confidently, âYouâre that guy!â
I laugh a bit, standing up straighter and looking down at her, âNice to meet you too.â
âSorry! Everyoneâs been talking about you today!â My tongue runs over my teeth, smiling a bit, âThanks for being my mirror. And- congrats, I guess?â
âThank you. And no problem, Iâd never deprive a pretty girl of her lipstick rights.â This makes her laugh and fuck I want to keep her laughing.
She gets a look in her eye, her arms behind her, and her eyes staring up at me, âWell I appreciate it. Like it?â I look at her lips again and Iâm beginning to think this is a trick just to make me want to kiss her.
âI do. It suits you.â Her lips pull into a wide smile and she steps a bit closer. âYou know- people are talking about me for a reason.â I say, building myself up a bit.
She squints, âRight⌠A win?â I nod, âYouâre celebrating then?â
I nod again, âA bit boring though⌠if only there was a girl to make my night better.â
She scoffs, âSuppose you want a winning kiss then?â I eye her, sipping my drink once more. My eyes flick to her lips but she doesnât stop looking at me.
âI mean- your lipstick would look great on me.â I say smugly as she stops herself from smiling, humming and nodding.
âWould it?â She says into my ear, the club getting louder with the music.
âSuppose weâll have to check and see.â I say in her ear this time and when I pull back, I can tell sheâs trying to figure me out.
She hums again, leaning in close and slipping her hand onto my neck. Her cool rings practically sting my hot skin. She turns my head slightly, I feel her stand taller to softly kiss my cheek.
When she pulls away, Iâm smirking again, âLet me get your number.â I donât even ask it as a question.
She pulls the lipliner out of her bag once more, uncapping it with her teeth and taking my arm. She scrolls the numbers slowly against my arm, holding me close.
When sheâs done and thereâs red numbers up my arm, she closes the product and smiles kindly, saying âCongratulations, winner.â before walking away.

Navigation!! // Masterlist!!! // Serendipity Writes (event) // Part two
Getting an invite to the annual crimson ball, hosted by yours truly, was nothing but an honor. Every overlord and every sinner in the pride ring waited anxiously for a letter. A black card with white letter in a cursive font stating âYou have been personally invited by Hells biggest designer. The list of the gala was simple. The usual overlords, Zestial, Carmilla Carmine and her daughters, Zeezie, Rosie, Fredrick Von Eldritch and Bethesda von Eldritch. Alastor who had came back after seven years of hiding god knows where, and by special request, the three veeâs who had never attended the gala before. Then it becomes a bit more political.
Next on the list was the Goetia family, inviting the recently divorced prince with his daughter. Inviting Lucifer and Lilith, though they only ever came when everyone was gone. Then was their daughter Charlotte, who got a plus one as a special perk of being the princess of hell. Husk because he had been an old friend of yours before his status of Overlord was taken from him by none other than Alastor. He was also given a plus one, though he usually never brought anyone extra. Sir Pentious was a candidate, but ultimately scrapped from your list of invites as you felt he was too childish.
The gala was tonight and everything was going smoothly. Preparations were almost done, the foyer was spotless just the way you liked it, and everything seemed to be falling into place. You stared at yourself in the mirror. You had spent months designing your perfect dress for tonight. Everyone attending the gala knew there was only ever one color off limits, because you always wore it best. The color black always suited you perfectly. No one could wear it better than you.
Back at the hotel, Charlie felt guilty for using her authority as princess to have people help her get ready for this gala. Based on what Alastor had told her, there would be a lot of political powers and fellow overlords there. She wanted to look her best if she was going to pitch the hotel to them. She needed more people on board with the project, maybe someone who didnât think it was complete and utterly ridiculous joke like Alastor did.
âHow do I look?â Charlie asked as the makeup and hair artists stepped away from her. Charlie stepped out, allowing Vaggie to get a better look at her in a tailored charcoal gray suit, a departure from her usual vibrant red attire. The jacket, adorned with subtle pinstripes, accentuated her frame, while the crisp, white silk shirt underneath added a touch of formality. Completing the ensemble, she wore a black tie with a discreet pattern that hinted at both elegance and authority. The ensemble was a strategic choice, projecting confidence and a readiness to engage with the political powers present at the gala for the sake of her hotel. Vaggie smiled and hugged Charlie deeply, their embrace making Charlie feel a little less nervous about the whole ordeal.
âCharlie you look amazing. What happened to the red?â Vaggie asked, before Charlie just chuckled.
âWell, I wanted a change for tonight. Iâm always in red, and I feel like theyâll take me more serious if Iâm not walking in there with my usual attire. Besides, you read the invitation, âformal attire, look your bestâ.â Charlie said. Vaggie nodded, and Charlie pulled back from the hug to admire Vaggie in her dress. She was wearing a sleek and modern grey dress that gracefully embraced the formal occasion. The dress, with its tailored fit and subtle shimmer, exuded class. The knee-length hemline added a contemporary touch, and Vaggie had decided to pair it with black heels to complete the ensemble. The choice of grey complemented Charlieâs charcoal gray suit, creating a coordinated yet distinct look that would surely make an impression at the gala. Charlie felt her cheeks heat up taking in her appearance, her long hair gently pinned back, the loose pieces of hair framing her face.
âAww, Vaggie you look so pretty!!â Charlie said excitedly. Vaggie just smiled, ignoring the way her cheeks heated up at Charlies compliment.
âI agree, you look good vagina.â Angel said mockingly, causing Vaggie to glare at him. Charlie just gushed.
âAngel be nice. This is really important for the hotel.â Charlie explained. He just nodded, tilting his head back and downing a bottle of liquor. The staff however was interrupted by Angel making a purring sound at Husk, who was dressed in a nice white suave dinner jacket, with perfect cutouts for his wings, along with some sleek black trousers and some black dress shoes. The match, he had a black silk lapel.
âI can think of another place that suit would look.â Angel said, leaning onto Husk. He rolls his eyes, bottle in hand.
âDo I even wanna know?â He asks, and Angel just grins.
âOn my bedroom floo-â Angel doesnât get to finish, being shrugged off by Husk who just walks away with a shake of his head.
âOh my gosh! Husk you look amazing!â Charlie squealed in delight. Husk just smiled softly before setting his drink on the bar counter.
âIt appears everyone is ready.â Alastor said, the focus of the room shifting to him. Niffty was at his side studying his outfit from head to toe.
Alastor emerged in an ensemble that deviated from his usual eccentricity, opting for a more formal yet captivating look. A deep red velvet tailcoat adorned his frame, its luxurious texture catching the light. Dark-red lapels, meticulously piped with gold, added a touch of opulence. Underneath, he wore a perfectly tailored crimson dress shirt, the power emitting off of him. Suddenly, the room grew just a tad bit darker, the shadows of the room stretching just a bit. Complementing the ensemble, he chose a pair of well-fitted black dress pants, allowing the bold red hue to take center stage on his appearance. His choice of footwear shifted to polished black oxford shoes, a departure from his usual pointed-toe boots. The finishing touches of the outfit included a matching red silk bowtie, neatly knotted at his throat, and black leather gloves that added a refined edge. Alastorâs presence was commanding, radiating an air of formality while retaining the distinctive charm that defined him. The room was captivated by the Radio Demonâs unexpected transformation into a vision of refined class and style.
âYou took forever for that?â Niffty said, before Angel Dust tossed a pillow at her.
âShut it you. We, we are keeping,â Angel said, hands waving around Alastor, âto whatever this is.â
âStyle.â Alastor said confidently. Vaggie just face palmed while Charlie clapped her hands together excitedly.
âOkay, I think everyoneâs ready. Should we head out?â Charlie asked. Vaggie nodded, before Alastor dug the invitation out of his coat pocket. Standing near a wall, he traced the symbol on the back of the card on the wall. âUh, Al? What are you doing?â Charlie asked. He grinned, putting his hand flat on the wall. The symbol began to glow green, before it opened a portal. On the other side, was a large house. The grand Victorian mansion stood as a testament to opulence, its imposing facade adorned with intricate wrought-iron black railings and embellished balconies with hints of chains. Tall, arched windows with stained glass panels framed the exterior, allowing glimpses of the soft glow emanating from within. The entrance, marked by a sweeping staircase, welcomed guests with ornate, carved intricate detailed doors. Charlie, Vaggie and Husk followed Alastor through the portal, Charlie waving goodbye to Niffty, and Angel. Sir Pentious was most likely hiding out in a room somewhere with his egg boys.
As guests approached, they marveled at the meticulous details of the architecture â elaborate moldings, corbels, and friezes adorned every corner. Ivy-clad walls added a touch of natureâs grace, intertwining with wrought-iron lampposts that cast a warm ambiance over the meticulously landscaped gardens.Inside, the grand foyer unfolded, revealing a sweeping staircase adorned with a rich, mahogany handrail. Crystal chandeliers hung from soaring ceilings, their light refracted by ornate mirrors that lined the walls. Plush Victorian-era furnishings, upholstered in rich fabrics, adorned the parlor rooms, creating intimate spaces for guests to gather and converse.Every room whispered of a bygone era â intricately patterned wallpaper, gilded frames displaying classical art, and the faint fragrance of aged wood and lavender.
The air was infused with a sense of refinement, transporting guests to a time when elegance reigned supreme. The Victorian mansion, a splendid backdrop for the gala, promised an evening steeped in grandeur and charm. In the middle of the exterior grounds, a grand fountain of blood took center stage. Its sculpted marble figures spouted blood into the air, catching the moonlight in a dance of liquid elegance. The fountain, surrounded by manicured gardens and flowering shrubs, became a focal point for guests as they strolled through the outdoor spaces, the gentle sound of cascading blood adding a serene touch to the galaâs errie atmosphere.
The overlords arrival made the event much more real. Alastor hums to himself as he walks around the outside grounds. There are servants of all kinds walking around with glasses of champagne. Rosie is sitting on a bench, plucking thorns off a rose. Alastor smiles to himself, happy to see a familiar face he know he can confide in.
âRosie dear! So nice to see you.â Alastor said with a smile. She smiles at him, teeth razor sharp.
âDo you think youâll be getting a seat tonight?â She asks, snapping the rose off its stem and tossing it to the side.
âWell of course I will. Itâd be a mistake if I wasnât.â Alastor said with a smile, crossing his legs as he sat down next to her. Sinners from all over the pride ring were socializing outside of the large mansion. He knew you were inside finalizing preparations and possibly screaming your head off. Overall, the air was chilled with a comfortable atmosphere. Well, it had been comfortable, until a loud noisy vehicle stopped at the front gates. Everyoneâs heads were turning, Rosie and Alastor looking at each other with strained smiles. Stepping out of the large limousine were the three veeâs, vulgar music blaring from the vehicles speakers as the three made their way through the now open gates. Reporters lined the edges of the gates, trying desperately to see the overlords inside and to try and sneak into the gala, which was starting soon.
âMr.Vox! Mr.Vox!â News reporters shouted. Velvet was busy taking selfies of her and her outfit, her assistant following close behind her. Valentino was busy looking down at everyone, smoking his usual, while taking his long strides next to Vox, who was in the middle of the three.
On Voxâs right was Valentino, who donned a captivating look for the gala. His tailored white suit boasted a jacket that reached just above the knee, a subtle departure from his usual floor-length coat. The crimson silk lining peeked through, adding a luxurious touch to the outfit. The coat, reminiscent of his extravagant style, also had a vivid-red hue with his signature white fur trim at the wrists. The black and white striped fur trim along the center-front added a distinctive flair. A gold chain and love-heart-shaped broach fastenings adorned the coat, creating an opulent yet alluring look. Finally, he wore polished black heeled boots, maintaining the sleek and captivating allure that defined Valentinoâs presence. The familiar color scheme remained intact, blending sophistication with a hint of provocative charm for the grand gala.
On Voxâs left was Velvet, who had spent months perfecting her outfit for the gala, in hopes sheâd be invited of course. She had begged the boys to keep a good public appearance, in hopes theyâd be recognized and invited to the crimson gala. Velvette, deciding to ditch her usual style, embraced a lavish and over-the-top look that represented her brand. Dressed in a knee-length dress, the garment had a striking blend of black and red hues. The dress, fitted at the waist, flowed into a voluminous skirt, creating a sense of extravagance. The bodice of the dress featured intricate lace detailing. A white collar adorned with a velvet bow added a playful yet mature flair. The sleeves, a fusion of burgundy and white patterns, contributed to the overall lavish aesthetic she had been going for. Her accessories took on a more refined form. Velvet gloves, adorned with delicate lace, graced her hands, and a pearl necklace adorned her neck, adding a classic touch, completed with maroon heels, each step resonating with a sense of grandeur. Velvetâs transformation into this upscale attire reflected her desire to make a statement at the Crimson Gala.
In the middle, and the brains of the three veeâs, was none other than the head of Vox Tech, Vox himself. He wore a sleek and modern dark blue tuxedo, tailored with precision. Of course he could only have the best. The suit featured subtle futuristic patterns that enhanced his âperfectâ sense of style. To complement his high-tech vibe, Vox wore a light blue undershirt with an upside-down broadcast symbol. Vox's gala attire seamlessly blended power and control with his technological edge, creating a memorable look in shades of dark blue, which in his opinion, was the best color.
Upon seeing Alastor, Voxâs eye twitched noticeably. The gates shut behind the three veeâs, closing off the gala to the public. The overlords begin to get closer together unknowingly, Zestial finding a comfortable corner to watch things play out. Carmilla and Zeezie stand close together, whispering to one another as both Rosie and Alastor stand from the bench. Vox, Valentino and Velvet make their way to the Radio Demon and his colleagues.
âI see the grandpaâs were invited.â Velvet says with a scoff, scrolling through her phone.
âSo disrespectful.â Carmilla says under her breath, looking away from the three veeâs.
âHm, interesting, and I was beginning to think the only interesting thing tonight would be the dinner.â Bethesda said, her brother nodding.
âWell, it seems the children brought their play date to the public then.â Zeezie says. The other overlords laugh and Valentino sneers at her.
âWell an idiota like you would think so. Then again, donât you all do the same with your diapers?â He asked, puffing the smoke into her face. She growls at him, fists clenching at her side, but Carmilla stops her.
âDidnât they say this was an adult only gala?â Carmilla asked, Rosie chuckling at her words.
âOh can it grandma.â Velvete said. But Vox remained silent, having his own personal staring match with Alastor, whose smile was stretched ear to ear, teeth on full display.
âI thought this gala was meant for real talent?â Vox asked, stepping closer to Alastor.
âWell it was until you showed up.â Alastor said with a smile. âThereâs no originality in copying someone else.â He tuts. Vox narrows his eyes, face twisting with anger as he steps closer to Alastor again.
âYou wanna tell me something, you old piece of-â Vox is stopped, the lights to the exterior of the mansion dimming. The lights behind the large front doors opening slowly. Two tall black shadowy figures stepped from the door, smoke at their feet.
âThank you all for your attendance. As we know, the annual Crimson Gala is held every year, and this year is no different. With the new extermination date, important decisions must be made. Tonight, ten individuals will be selected to sit at Madameâs table where she will discuss private plans on how to move forward.â The two said in unison. Everyone fell silent as more shadows appeared, each one sitting on the sides of the steps. Lights around the staircases began to light up, and people began making their way up the stairs.
âWell~ this should be fun.â

THE FAINT GLOW from Landoâs monitors is the only light in the room, casting faint shadows over his side of the bed. Itâs pretty late â later than it probably should be for him to start a streaming session â but Max insisted, and Lando figured it was either this or mindlessly scrolling through his infinite feed until falling asleep. His headset lies next to his keyboard, untouched, as he waits for his best friend to finish whatever pre-stream rituals heâs currently busy with.
From the en suite bathroom, the sound of running water echoes like ambient noise, muffled by the walls yet delicate, while his girlfriend showers. He glances at the door, thinking about how she had kissed him on the forehead just a few minutes ago, hair piled on top of her head in that messy bun he secretly loves. She had told him to have fun streaming, flashing him a sweet smile that made him wish she werenât about to leave him alone to his boredom.
Lando sighs, spinning slightly in his chair, his gaze randomly falling to the nightstand on her side of the bed. A stack of books rests there unbothered, as it always does, each spine a different color. She goes through them so quickly that he can never keep up with what sheâs reading now versus what she finished last week, that's why, normally, he doesnât pay them much attention. But tonight, in the thick silence, with Max still not ready and the hum of the bathroom as his only company, he reaches for the book at the top of the stack.
The cover is intricate and inviting â soft, watercolor-like strokes of flowers in muted tones frame a bold, serif title. Thereâs no hint of what itâs about, and when he flips it over, the description on the back isnât much help, either.
âVague as hell,â he mutters under his breath after reading it.
He flips the book open, thumbing through the pages, noticing that she's halfway through it, with a scattering of sticky tabs peeking out from various places. A glance at the pages confirms his girlfriendâs habit of underlining sentences and jotting tiny notes in the margins. He smirks to himself, picturing her curled up on the couch, pen in hand, diligently marking her favorite parts, as she always does.
He stops at one of the tabs â a pink one â curiosity getting the best of him. The text beneath is neatly underlined, with a couple of notes scribbled faintly in the margin. His eyes skim over the words, and then he freezes, blinking at what heâs just read.
His hands roamed my bare skin with a deliberate slowness, mapping every curve, every dip. I gasped when his fingers dipped lower, teasing just enough to make me squirm beneath him. âPatience, my love,â he murmured against my neck, his voice rough with desire. âI'll give you what you need.â
Landoâs mouth goes dry, while his eyebrows shoot higher on his forehead. His fingers tighten slightly on the book as his eyes dart to the highlighted lines. Sheâs underlined âI'll give you what you needâ and scrawled something next to it â he squints to make it out.
âOMG. The tension here is insane,â it reads, followed by âOn. My. Kneesâ.
His pulse quickens, and he feels a flicker of heat low in his stomach.
Suddenly, Lando realizes how intimate it is to rummage through her annotations, as they are pure, unfiltered emotions, evoked by scenes that obviously awakened something in her when she read them, and now he feels way too guilty to continue.
But not enough to stop.
He flips ahead, stopping at another pink tab, as if he's on autopilot, guided by sheer curiosity alone.
My legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer, until there was no space left between us. His mouth was everywhere â on my lips, my collarbone, the sensitive skin of my nipples. I trembled as he kissed his way lower, his tongue leaving a trail of fire in its wake. I moaned his name, breathless, as he looked up at me with a smirk that promised more.
Lando swallows hard. He shifts in his chair, hyperaware of the heat creeping up his neck. He tells himself to stop, to close the book and put it back, but he canât seem to help himself.
âYou liked that, donât you?â he asked in a whispered tone. I whimpered in response, my nails digging into his shoulders as my body arched into his touch. âYou did, my good girl,â he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down my spine. âKeep being good, and you'll get to cuââ
He sucks in a sharp breath, snapping the book closed. His mind betrays him, conjuring images of her beneath him, her breath hitching the way it does when he teases her, her hands clutching at him as she whispers his name in pleasure.
His jaw clenches, and he drags a hand through his hair, all too aware of the way the air has changed inside the room. Luckily, the vibration of his phone on the desk jolts him back to reality. He startles, nearly dropping the book in his lap.
Scrambling to grab his phone, he sees a text from Max:
âShit,â Lando mutters under his breath.
He rushes to put the book back where he found it, his movements momentarily clumsy. Heâs acutely aware of the way his body feels now â tense, restless, hot â as he makes himself more comfortable in his chair, tugging his headset over his ears.
The monitor flickers to life as Max joins the call, his voice loud and cheery in Landoâs ear. âFinally, mate! Thought you fell asleep or something.â
âYeah, yeah,â Lando replies, his voice a little strained. âLetâs just get started.â
By the time she's done with showering and coming out of the bathroom dressed in one of his oversized t-shirts and towel-drying her hair, Lando is fully immersed in his racing game. She pauses in the doorway, watching him for a moment with a small smile on her face, and he catches her eye briefly, following her as she crosses the room, the t-shirt swallowing her frame entirely. He gives her a quick nod before returning his focus to the screens, while she climbs onto the bed and grabs the book from her nightstand, settling in against the pillows to read.
At that, Lando finds himself smirking.
Itâs hard not to, knowing whatâs tucked between those pages now. His fingers twitch on the steering wheel, but he keeps driving, throwing himself into the rave to avoid getting distracted.
âMate, youâre lagging behind,â Max calls out through the headset, breaking Landoâs focus.
âYeah, mate. Don't worry, Iâm here,â he replies, steering his car to catch up.
Time passes in a blur of laughter, strategy, and the occasional curse as he and Max trade wins and losses. At some point, she gets up from the bed, her book left open and facedown on the comforter. Lando watches out of the corner of his eye as she pads over to him, stopping just out of frame.
âWant some tea?â she asks quietly, her voice careful not to interrupt his live stream.
Lando glances up at her briefly, his lips curling into a small smile. His hand leaves the steering wheel, trailing to the back of her thigh, his fingers traveling up slowly, squeezing the soft curve of her ass.
âYeah,â he whispers, the word leaving him on a smirk.
Her breath catches in her throat at his touch, and she shoots him a pointed look, though the pink dusting her cheeks betrays her.
She swats his hand away lightly, protesting quietly, âBehave,â before disappearing into the kitchen.
TWO HOURS LATER, the game session finally winds down. Lando thanks the chat, throws a parting joke at Max, and shuts down his stream with a satisfied sigh. He swivels in his chair to find his girlfriend still awake, her book now resting on her stomach while she scrolls idly on her phone.
She glances at him and smiles kindly, watching as he heads to the bathroom, but when he gets back a few minutes later, heâs wearing nothing but a fresh pair of boxers and a wide smile. His skin glows faintly from the shower, and water droplets cling to the sharp angles of his collarbone.
Lando approaches the bed slowly, his gaze fixed on her. She looks up from her phone as he slides in beside her, his presence warm and familiar. Without a word, he takes the book from her stomach, his fingers brushing hers lightly as he closes it and sets it back on the nightstand. Then, he leans down, brushing his lips over hers in a kiss thatâs soft but full of intent â definitely not the kind that he uses to send her to sleep. Quite the opposite. It makes her hum against his lips, her hand coming up to rest lightly on his chest as she kisses him back.
âYouâre still wet,â she notices, pushing Lando lightly to look at him.
When he pulls away, his voice drops, small but teasing. âWe can both be,â says Lando.
She scoffs, rolling her eyes, âYeah, not tonight, buddy. You took too long, and Iâm sleepy from all the reading.â
âCome on, just wrap your legs around my waist, and pull me closer, until there is no space left between us,â he murmurs the words deliberately.
For a second, her heart skips a beat, her eyes widening slightly as she registers his sentence. Blood rushes to her cheeks and beyond, her pulse quickening.
âWhat?â she asks, giving him a puzzled look.
Landoâs smirk deepens. He leans closer, letting his breath fan over her ear as he continues, his tone overly suggestive. âWhat? You donât want my mouth everywhere? On your lips, your collarbone, the sensitive skin of your nipples?â
Her breath hitches, and her lips part in surprise. Her mind starts spinning as the words heâs quoting â the ones she underlined so carefully in her book â fall from his mouth.
âLando,â she says cautiously, her voice shaky.
âHm?â he asks innocently, his fingers ghosting over her hip beneath the t-shirt. âI hope it's okay, Iâm just trying to remember what you liked so much. What else was there? Something about⌠good girls?â
She swats at his chest, but thereâs no real force behind it. âYouâve been reading my stuff!â
His laughter is quiet, but thereâs heat in his gaze as he leans down to kiss her again, this time deeper, as if he has a purpose.
When Lando pulls back just enough to catch her gaze, his eyes are glinting with mischief. His hand trails up her side, his thumb slowly brushing the soft curve of her waist through the thin fabric of his t-shirt.
âAnd? Whatâs that about, baby?â he asks. âDon't you want to be my good girl?â
She lets out a soft laugh, a mix of flustered and amused, and presses a hand to his chest. âFor the record, youâre not allowed to touch my books anymore,â she says, trying to sound stern but failing miserably when her cheeks flush under his intense gaze.
âOh, I donât know,â he drawls, leaning closer, his lips brushing her skin. âI think I learned a lot. Like how youâre into being told what to do, and being touched like this,â he continues, tracing the pads of his fingers up and down her body.
âLando,â she protests, but her voice wavers, her breath hitching when his teeth graze the sensitive spot just beneath her earlobe.
âYou marked all the good bits for me,â he says, his mouth trailing along her neck, placing soft, lingering kisses there. âMade it so easy, really.â
She shakes her head, trying to maintain her composure, but the warmth of his lips and the purposeful way his hands roam her body make it impossible. âYouâre being ridiculous,â she whispers.
âAnd youâre so cute when youâre blushing,â he counters, his lips hovering just above hers. His tone shifts, teasing, giving way to something more profound. âJust know that if you ever want to recreate something from your books... all you need to do is ask, yes?â
Her breath catches as Landoâs fingers find the hem of her t-shirt and tug it upward. She lifts her arms without hesitation, letting him pull it over her head and toss it aside.
âAnd if you can't tell me, just underline the scenes,â he continues, smirking down at her. âI'll figure it out.â
âLandoâŚâ her voice is much softer now, her eyes searching his, but he silences her with another kiss. Slow and lazy, his tongue dancing with hers on a rhythm only they know.
His hands move over her bare skin, stopping on her waist, then continuing until one of them curls around her neck, âMy good girl,â whispers Lando against her lips, echoing the words from her book. âWhat should I do with you?â
She laughs softly, but it turns into a gasp as his lips leave hers, trailing down over her collarbone, while he squeezes lightly at her neck. He pauses to nip at the delicate dip at the base of her throat, his tongue flicking out to taste her skin. She smells like her vanilla body lotion, a faint scent that drives him wild.
âYou donâtââ she tries to say something, but his mouth moves lower, and her words dissolve into a soft moan as he presses kisses across the swell of her breast, moving his hand on top of it to squeeze the flesh there.
âRelax, baby,â he says, looking up at her briefly, his expression a mix between adoration and pure need. âJust let me play by the book, yeah?â
Her cheeks burn at the intensity in his gaze, but she doesnât look away. Her hands find his shoulders, holding onto him as his kisses travel lower, across her stomach, his tongue darting out to trace wet patterns against her skin.
When he reaches the waistband of her shorts, he glances up again, his fingers toying with the elastic. âCan I?â he asks softly, his voice full of want.
She nods, her breath shaky, and lifts her hips to help him slide them down her legs.
Lando kisses along her inner thighs, taking his time, savoring the way her body reacts to every little, torturous touch. Sheâs already trembling under him, anticipation coiling in her stomach as he hooks his arms around her thighs, spreading her legs wider.
âSo ready for me, hm?â asks Lando, reaching for a pillow, and sliding it beneath the small of her back, adjusting her gently until sheâs perfectly positioned for him. âEvery time I open your pretty legs, fucking hell.â
She nods, chewing on her lower lip as she feels his hot breath falling over her skin. The first swipe of his tongue along her slit has her gasping, her head falling back on the mattress, unable to keep her eyes on him. Lando groans, the sound reverberating through her, his movements teasing, as always.
Her hands find his hair, threading through the damp strands as she arches toward him, desperately wanting to feel the heat of his tongue on her.
He looks up, his lips glistening while smirking. âBetter than your book so far?â
âMhm,â she breathes, her voice catching as he dips lower, his tongue working in a rhythm that has her eyes rolling.
He breathes heavily as he runs his tongue over her clit, teasing her hole with the tip. It's too much for her, yet still not enough to make her body shudder, but only ache for more instead. Luckily, Lando doesnât stop, his hands gripping her hips to hold her in place as he gives himself entirely to her, the soft sounds she makes driving him on.
Patiently, he brings his fingers between her folds, opening her even more, little by little. When he pushes in the second finger, she moans his name again, which encourages him to curl them inside her, feeling her pussy tighten around him, the sound alone making him so painfully hard.
Landoâs mouth doesnât leave her for a long while, drawing every gasp, every shudder from her as if itâs his lifeâs purpose. His tongue flicks, teases, and presses, his movements confident and practiced but still reverent, like heâs savoring her in a way words could never describe.
Sheâs close, and Lando knows it from the way her thighs tighten around his shoulders, and the way her fingers tug at his hair, grounding herself as the pleasure builds higher and higher. It makes him hum against her wetness, the muffled sound forcing a loud gasp out of her. But right when she approaches the edge, his mouth pulls away, leaving her breathless and shaking.
âWhy did youâLando!â she starts to protest, but her words are cut off when he moves up her body, kissing a heated trail along her stomach, her breasts, and up her neck.
âPatience, baby,â he whispers, the word heavy with intent. âIsnât that what your book said?â
She squeezes her eyes shut, her breath hitching as she remembers the very scene heâs playing out now. âI couldnât care less about my book right now, Lando.â
He smirks, his hand sliding between her legs to tease her hole again, his fingers brushing over her sensitive heat with a featherlight touch. âTell me what you want, then. I want to hear you say it.â
Her heart pounds, her mind is spinning, and the tears are so close from slipping out of her eyes. He's still quoting her stupid book, when he should be fucking her into oblivion instead. Even though now those words feel entirely different coming from his mouth, spoken in that low, rough voice that sends shivers down her spine, only makes her cry in protest when his fingers keep playing with her clit. The pressure he applies is measured enough to just keep her on the edge, but never pushing her over it.
âI want you,â she breathes, her voice barely above a whisper. âNeed you, please.â
âAnd if I ask you, pretty please, to say it again, will you?â his soft voice forces another moan to slip from her lips, his fingers dipping into her pussy, slow and teasing, feeling her walls constricting around them.
She nods, swallowing hard, âYou,â she repeats, louder this time, her hips rolling against his hand. âI want you.â
Lando hums in approval, his lips curling into a satisfied smile as he leans down to kiss her, his fingers moving with more intent now. âSo good for me, aren't you?â he asks against her lips, and the words make her whimper, heat pooling in her belly.
It doesnât take long for him to position himself between her thighs, his body fitting against hers like they were made for each other. Unfortunately, he takes his time, teasing her with his length, dragging himself over her wetness, his eyes never leaving hers.
âSo good and needy, is that why you read those books?â he asks, mostly curious than anything. âYou need something to keep you stimulated all the time? Because if that's the case, we canââ
âPlease, Lando,â she begs, her hands gripping his shoulders, her nails digging into his skin, while breathing heavily.
He chuckles, satisfied, âI've got you, baby, you know I do.â
His restraint snaps at her plea, and he pushes into her hard yet measured, his gaze locked on hers as he fills her inch by inch. Her head falls back, a broken moan spilling from her lips as he bottoms out, his hips flush against hers.
âFuck, you wrap around me so good,â he mutters, his voice strained with the effort of holding back. He waits for her to adjust, his hands running soothingly over her thighs, her waist, and her breasts.
âMove,â she whimpers, her voice breathless as she drags her nails over his back.
He obeys, his hips rolling in a steady rhythm that has her arching beneath him, her body responding to his every thrust. He leans down, his lips capturing hers in a kiss thatâs as much about love as it is about hunger â a desperate desire to show her that he can be whatever she needs him to be.
âYouâre fucking perfect,â he breathes against her mouth. âEvery inch of you.â
Her body rises to meet his with every thrust, their movements fluid and desperate as the tension coils tighter and tighter. His name falls from her lips like a prayer, and he drinks it in, his mouth finding the sensitive spot on her neck once again.
âLanâŚâ she cries out, her legs wrapping around his waist to pull him even deeper inside her.
âYes, baby. Wanna hear you,â he continues, his hand slipping between them to find the bundle of nerves that has her crying out again, her body trembling beneath him as his thumb circles around her clit. âLet go for me, come on.â
She shatters beneath him, her release washing over her in waves as she clings to him, her nails raking down his back. He follows moments later, her name a rough groan on his lips as he spills into her, his body shaking with the force of it.
This will always be better than anything, she realizes â better than any fantasy, any scenario, and any book. Just them, sharing each other in every possible way, then taking their time to come down. Together.
Their bodies are still tangled when Lando asks, âSo? Was it better?â his voice is rough, but playful as he brushes a strand of hair from her face.
She laughs, her cheeks flushed, and pulls him down for one more kiss; of course he knew what she was thinking about.
âI think it mightâve been,â she teases.
âOh? Mightâve?â Lando scoffs, his grin widening. âGuess weâll just have to try again and make sure, then.â

From a Campaign Perspective: Why Endorsing Kamala Harris Makes the Most Sense
Yay, Biden stepped back! (if this is how you found out and not the supernatural alert system meme... oops)
Let's talk about why Kamala Harris makes the most sense even if she, like Biden, is not one of our first choices (though she's higher on my list, certainly)
(My credentials: Former campaign worker, poli sci degree, etc)
It'd be really fucked up for him to step back and cause a PR disaster for the Dems. Kamala Harris has been at his side this whole time. Stepping over her, a woman of color who has already been doing much of the work, would cause a public relations crisis.
Kamala Harris has name recognition. We know who she is, and we at least vaguely know what she stands for. Name recognition is hugely important in an election and we do not have enough time to build it right now. This is not the time to pick someone that we've never heard of before or even vaguely never heard of.
She's run a campaign before. She knows how to do this, she has a platform that she can modify a little as needed and be ready to go over night. She has the donors from last time and everything.
She's already got a campaign schedule for Biden, she can modify that easily to suit her own needs and has more freedom to campaign than the current president because she's *not* the current president, she doesn't have COVID right now, and she's not older than dirt.
She is perfectly capable of making Trump look like a fucking idiot on stage. The highlight reel is gonna look so much better next time, hopefully.
Personal speculation: I think people are far less likely to sit it out with her name at the top of the ticket.
So what should you be doing right now?
Let's start simple. Understand that Biden did what many of us wanted right here. He stepped away from the campaign he was running and handed it off to someone younger. Fuck yeah!
Also remember that anyone who encourages you not to vote likely has an alternative agenda that involves you having less power to use your voice.
Ok, what else?
Check your voter registration here.
Not registered? Youâve moved and itâs out of date? Update your voter registration/registration here.
Donât forget to vote up and down the ballot! Local elections matter, and hopefully youâll find someone youâre a lot more passionate about on a local level.
And make sure your friends do the same!!!!
This website also covers what you may need to bring with you the day of. Some states require you to bring your ID, for example, so go check.Your state may have early voting options, and you should definitely use those! They make life a lot easier. You can check those out here.
P.S. Make sure to check your voter registration closer to the election as well, just in case. Probably sometime in September would be best, but just keep an eye out.

â the princess guide on glowing up:
recently i noticed how in love i've become with my appearance after a long time of strongly hating how i look. i wondered how i got to this point so i worked backwards to figure out what changed and made this post.ᥣđŠ
GETTING OVER MY INSECURITIES
social media is one of the main things that attributed to my insecurities. when you're constantly bombarded by posts praising girls that look nothing like you for their beauty it's easy to trick yourself into thinking that must mean you're not beautiful since you have nothing in common with them. someone's beauty does not take away from yours, but it can make you forget yours. the first change i made that signified the beginning of my new found self love was when i started to look at models and influencers and actresses that looked more like me. i believe there's beauty in every feature, you just have to see it in a beautiful light. i stopped considering my features ugly when i distanced from any content that would insist on them being flaws and instead exposed myself to beautiful girls who had the same exact features and realised they didn't make them any less beautiful.
SETTING MY OWN BEAUTY STANDARDS
a crucial point in my journey to loving my physical appearance was disregarding society's already set beauty standards and it's expectations. the truth is you can't build your confidence based on how much you fit others' standards because everybody has their own idea of beauty and what might make you beautiful in someone's eyes might make you ugly in another's. so that's why i decided to create my own standards and measure myself based on what i personally think is beautiful.
i did this by taking out my journal, closing my eyes for a few seconds and imagining what i considered to be the epitomy of beauty, then i wrote down a description of what i imagined. if you're having trouble picturing the details, you can try answering some of these questions:
what kind of girl would i see on the street and would leave something that is more than an impression on me? what texture is her hair? what color is it? how is she wearing it, is it parted in the middle or to the side? is it styled or is it down? is it long or short? is she wearing makeup? if yes, is it natural makeup or is it more on the bold side? is she wearing jewellery? is it dainty or flashy? what is her body type? is she skinny or curvy? does she have her nails done? are they long or short? what type of clothes is she wearing?
after i decided on my own beauty standards, i made changes to my appearance and the closer i got to that image i had of the perfect girl in my head the happier i grew with myself.
EMBRACING MYSELF
now while i was picturing the perfect girl in my mind, i made sure that she had my features. i didn't imagine her without my 'insecurities'. essentially i was just imagining myself if i reached my maximum potential, i didn't change anything i was already born with i only changed the customizable things in a way that i thought was beautiful / suited me more. and that's what i wanna talk about in this part, the importance of embracing myself the way i am.
embracing myself didn't only help me in the mental aspect where i started to love myself more, but it also helped me physically. i started to look a lot better when i stopped trying to force myself to look 'sexy' and admitted that i was more suited for makeup & clothes that are more on the cuter side.
obviously i'm not trying to tell you what to do, but i'm willing to bet that you would look a whole lot better if you wore clothes that fit your body type instead of forcing yourself into tight and uncomfortable clothing. the idea is to understand that there isn't only one type of beauty, so you don't have to force yourself to do things that don't suit you to be beautiful.
IDENTIFYING YOURSELF + YOUR STYLE
i've talked about how you should do things that suit you, but how do you even know what does or doesn't suit you? well you have to start by identifying what 'you' are first.
while i was going through this phase of my glow up journey, i found that there are three things that you have to know about yourself: your face shape, your skintone/undertones and your body type. you can figure them out by looking at yourself in the mirror and referencing these charts below. if you're having a hard time determining where you fit, you can ask a family member/friend for their opinion. i think that wearing things that compliment you makes you look put together no matter what your style is, it gives you the perfect 'canvas'.ŕ˝ŕ˝˛ŕ˝ŕž
from these three things you can figure out what eyebrow shape, hairstyles + hair colors, clothes and colors would suit you the best. you can do that by simply going on pinterest or tiktok and looking up "hairstyle recommendations for ____ face shape". you can also use celebrities with similar traits as inspiration.
as for developing your style, i think that is something you naturally develop over time as you try out things and evolve your taste. but if you're stuck on where to start, i recommend quizzes! there are a lot of korean/chinese quizzes scattered over the internet that can help you. something else i recommend is checking out @/dreamgrlarchive's blog, she has a lot of posts dedicated to finding your style. also, don't shy away from trying out trends or aesthetics that pique your interest, you're drawn to them for a reason so don't let people online shame you for it.
EMBODYING CONFIDENCE
the mental aspect of glowing up is something that often goes unnoticed. glowing up doesn't only require changing physically but also mentally. you have to make sure the inside matches the outside. journaling allowed me to work through any negative thoughts and feelings i had towards myself as well as identify any habits i used to do out of insecurity that i needed to get rid of. you'd be surprised at how many beautiful girls lack self esteem. become comfortable with the fact that you're beautiful.ᥣđŠ

I love Bucky loving his body. I love Bucky loved by the team. I love Bucky having his happy ending with a family. Imagine Bucky lounging around the sofa with his little baby girl tucked in his arm, her sweet face covered in frosting after smothering half of her cupcake onto her cheeks. The icing is bright red just like Tony's suit and it's his birthday party afterall, so everything is in full swing. Most of the cupcake is squished between her fingers, very little actually making it into her mouth but Bucky doesn't mind. He chuckles, watching her with heart eyes as she happily smears it onto his crisp white shirt, babbling and cooing, now sucking her thumb.
He is absolutely unbothered by this, all he sees is his happy little baby with her cheeky smile licking up all the frosting just like her mama. While Bucky couldn't care less about his shirt, a few others certainly did.
"Better get dunk that shirt into a bucket of tide pens Barnes" Clint snorted.
"Actually the quicker you get it off, the less likely it is to stain. Take it off now" Tony's voice went from fatherly advice to a seductive growl making Bucky's face twist in amusement, pink starting to color his cheeks.
"Yeah, give the little munchkin to y/n and take it off. Cause of the stain" Nat agreed, cocking an eyebrow. You giggled watching the scene unfold before you, your husband growing bashfully shy.
"Can't hurt punk" Steve shrugged and Bucky's eyes nearly popped out of his head until he realized his best friend had been nursing a rather large glass of Asgardian mead. Tipsy Steve was always a little bit of a pervert...
"I-
"For the stain"
"I think you just want me to take my shirt off" Bucky huffed while you grinned, giving his cheek a peck before taking your little princess in your arms.
"Can't blame them handsome, c'mon, show em' how lucky I am" you whisper and that sells it. Couldn't hurt and since they were all asking...
"Just take it off!" Nat howled with a wink, a bunch of whistles when Bucky sighed, indulging the team a little. He unbuttons his shirt and hands it off to a genuinely concerned Sam who would normally make sure the shirt got sent to the cleaners but this is too good so he throws it into a bucket of cold water and is back within seconds.
"Good God"
"Jesus"
"You look fuckin' good terminator"
"Alright, alright" Bucky holds his hands up, unable to stop the way his ears are bright red, shaking his head when you blow him a kiss making him blush more.
"Body shots!"
"What?"
"Yes"
Tony's eyes glimmer with excitement, and Bucky snorts, loving the way you egg him on, his daughter also squealing with excitement.
"Go on Sarge, y'know you look good"
He lies down on the bar table, surrounded by just the team, abs beautifully flexed as Nat pours a generous amount of some type of alcohol right on his belly button.
"When else will we get this lucky" She says with a playful smirk while Steve cracks his knuckles.
"Why are you cracking your knuckles, what the hell do you plan on-
"ME FIRST" He doesn't give anyone a chance, face planting himself into Bucky's tummy, his lips sealed, drinking every bit of the burning liquor with a satisfied hum.
"How much has he had to drink"
"Who cares, me next"
"I think you've licked enough of my husband"
"You get him all the time, don't be greedy"
"That cute little chubby ball of frosting and giggles is enough evidence you get him every which way, besides isn't there another one cooking, y'can't have any now git"
"Blink twice if you need help"
"Bro looks like an angel"
"Why aren't you blinking"
"Crafted by the heavens"
"You like this, don't you"
Bucky can't help but chuckle, surrounded by idiots. Drunk idiots. His wife. His baby girl. Another little one on the way. All who love him. Would protect him. Life was good.

you should do jinx giving reader a tattoo of her name đ
That's much better, isn't it?
Tags: possessive, jealousy, manipulation.
You are so active omg, is it because of season 2? I also have to say that this is quite proprietary and reminds me of a Yandere!Jinx.
This is starting to get annoying. Everything was going so well, and now?
Usually, you were always closely connected to each other, not just emotionally. It was so long and constant that it became an unspoken rule of Zaun. You've done many things, from having dinner together to revolution.
But now you've suddenly started going out "on business" too often. How could Jinx not worry?
Jinx followed yours next time. It's only for your safety, of course. A couple of hours, and she saw the root of the problemâthe weird girl you were discussing with. A small, about 20 years old. It was annoying that she caught your attention like that. Weird, painful, and absolutely unbearable. It took all of Jinx's strength to contain herself. These meetings continued, and, in fact, there was nothing too close about them. On the contrary, you kept your distance and spoke absolutely calmly. Which could not be said about this girl. She was strangely leaning towards you, constantly fixing her hair and trying to touch you all the time. Jinx was really nervous, waiting for the right moment to ruin everything.
The moment when you give in to her.
This did not happen, and the truth came to light.
Luckily, it was much more prosaic. You were sneaking off to meet a jeweler for a cute hair clip. It was a gift for Jinx for your third anniversary. With all the running around, she forgot about it. How awkward...
"So... this is for me, huh? It's very beautiful," her fingers slid over the chilling metal of the small pin. The shape of the curved cross suited her. She didn't know what kind of metal it was, but it shimmered blue and pink in the light, remaining chillingly black in the shadows. Beautiful.
"Cool, huh? I had to work hard to get this, but... whatever. It was worth it." You seemed happier than Jinx herself, leaning over in front of her as you picked up her right braid and wondered where to put it, "It might not be very practical, but I'm sure it's really cute. Don't worry if it gets lost, okay?"
You finally looked at your girlfriend and understood her mood. She shrank, looking tensely at the floor and picking at her pants with her nails. Stuck in her dark thoughts right now. However, having anticipated your next move, Jinx spoke up: "I have a gift for you too." It suddenly dawned on her; her eyes lit up, and her back straightened. Jinx was ready to flare up with impatience. "M.. yeah? I'm so glad it is. I like it already, trust me," you giggled, sitting down next to Jinx as she grabbed your hands in anticipation. The hairpin would wait on the table for now. "Oh, something unusual," Jinx sat you down with your back to her, stood up, and rushed over to a huge box of art supplies.
You sat quietly, expecting something like a painting or a painted gun. The same one you got last time. Two is better than one!
Jinx will always be unpredictable.
When the noise became more than an explanation, you finally turned around. There was a small table behind you with colorful bottles on it and... a tattoo machine? This can't be.
"Ta-dam!" Jinx sat down on a chair on one side of the table, gesturing for you to sit opposite. "What? Wait, wait, you want to give me a tattoo?" Your voice wavered. You loved Jinx and trusted her in many ways, but let her give you a tattoo? "Oh, come on!" Jinx rolled her eyes, slamming her head down on the table, "You think I can't do it? Don't tell me you didn't check out my tattoos. I got them myself, you know!"
This didn't give you any confidence.
"No, you know... I just don't know what kind of tattoo I want," you turned away, shrugging awkwardly. Jinx chuckled, propping her head up in her hands and licking her lips. "I already decided, toots. What could be cooler than your girlfriend's name, hm?", Her voice sounded confident. So you didn't take it as a joke. However, Jinx didn't let you answer, grabbing your hands and not very carefully sitting you down opposite. "You know, I saw you with that girl... I was worried," she started slowly and from a distance. "You did nothing wrong, and I didn't doubt you. And yet, people are very tricky," she paused, gently taking your hand and looking into your eyes, "So I would like you to have a small tattoo; how about you? I promise it will look stylish." That stumped you for a minute. Yes, you wanted your tattoo, and yes, you love Jinx. But getting one for that reason? "Please," Jinx looked at you with her doe eyes, and that huskiness in her voice was driving you crazy. "Oh, maybe just one, huh? A small one," you chuckled.Â
Of course, Jinx was manipulating you for what she wanted. In the most childish and stupid way, you just couldn't help but sneer. Was it a double game, and Jinx knew about your understanding from the start? It doesn't matter; She has already started working.
Pink is the most beautiful color, isn't it?
Despite her obviously selfish desire and rather daring start, Jinx did everything carefully. After all, it was your first time doing it, and she couldn't make you feel anything other than excitement and admiration. She was spinning around you, unable to sit still, turning on music, telling all sorts of nonsense, and taking breaks to relax. She just didn't want to make things worse than she probably already did.
It all ended quickly.
"That's much better, isn't it?", Jinx couldn't help but smile as she looked at the fresh tattoo on your skin. "You look your best, as always, toots." You liked it no less; it actually looked sweet. And very possessive. You liked this display of her love; this affection gave you a strange strength.
You smiled as you took her hand and said with a deliberately innocent look, "Okay, now it's your turn."
The problem is that you love her no less.
Still, there is not a word about yandere in the request, so she's just super jealous and possessive. I hope that the person who asked was thinking about something like this đđť

Not My Type
Bucky Barnes x Plus Size!Reader x Steve Rogers
Word Count: 2,329 Masterlist Part 2
Summary: Bucky is dumb.
Warnings: Fatphobia.
A/N: something short, sweet and simple because Iâm starting to feel guilty about not posting đ
Steve watched, as his friend searched around the club with his eyes. He could assume Bucky was just waiting on the rest of their coworkers to get there, but he knew better. âSheâll get here soon enough, relax.â. Steve leans his back against the booth and takes a long drink of his beer. âWho?â Bucky asks, unconvincingly.
âY/N.â He says like itâs the most obvious thing in the world. Bucky scrunches up his face âAs if, man.â He ignores the look of disbelief Steve gives him. âWhy deny it? Iâve caught you staring her down more times than I can count.â. Steve stands up and waves to signal Natasha to where they sat. âThereâs nothing to deny, sheâs not my type, leave it there so no oneâs feelings get hurt, okay?â Bucky puts the bottle to his lips to shush himself when he sees you approach the booth.
âYou guys look.â Steveâs speechless as he takes in the silk nighties the girls adorned. They all wore semi matching babydoll dresses. Color coded fishnets and heeled slippers adorned their long legs. Their hair was high and teased, makeup adding to the sultry bedtime look they were going for.
âYouâre gonna catch flies.â Wanda remarks, leaving to find Vision having the time of his life with the DJ. Steveâs reaction to their costumes did nothing to calm your nerves. You went with the housewife costume too. Just a different approach entirely. Your hair sat in victory rolls atop your head, a thick stack of curls laying on your shoulders, a knee length dress with three quartered sleeves covered you. Youâre painted your eyebrows on thinly, just to over line your lips, filling them in with your favorite red Mac lipstick. You were the most modest in your costume, but the most accurate.
You couldnât wear a see through nightgown to the club. You would die of embarrassment, your rolls would be everywhere. At least in this thick cotton dress, no one could see the layers of shape wear you wore. You slid into the booth and sat beside Steve, getting sandwiched in when Sam finally arrives, late with no costume. âWhat took you so long, huh khakis?â You tease him, feeling nothing but comfort in his presence.
âYou ever had to tell a 10 year old his idea isnât good enough.â He laughs, â, You should go as yourself Unc!â He recalls the boys words over the phone. âOh, of course, looks like a superhero to me!â You giggle, loving the thought of his nephews building up his self esteem. He was new to the team, no super strength or speed. Just courage, you admired Sam.
You finally take the chance to look around the booth. Steve wore his vintage Captain America suit, claiming it still fits like a glove. Bucky didnât wear a costume, just his regular black t-shirt and leather jacket, no effort, even for Halloween. It helped Sam not look so out of place, so you just rolled your eyes at him. He tried way to hard to act like he didnât care about anything, or anyone. You hate people like that, too self absorbed to carry on a conversation with someone who doesnât benefit them.
You had been on the wrong side of his attitude before. Bumbling up to him after your first meeting. Stretching out your hand for a shake, he barely touched your hand as he shook your fingers, nodding at you with a curt âWelcome.â You didnât think much of it till he sat beside Yelena, who got recruited the same day as you, and sparked up a lively conversation with her, telling her if she needs anything at the compound to come ask him. That was the first time Bucky hurt your feelings, and it wouldnât be the last.
âY/N!â Someone yells at you from the dance floor. Itâs Yelena dancing alone, âYou promised me a dance.â She says, holding her arms out for you. You nudge Sam on the shoulder and do the most embarrassing scoot out of the booth you could imagine. Your dress rode up in the time youâd been sitting there, causing your thighs to stick to the old leather. Your face grimaces and you peel your skin away, hoping no one noticed.
âIâm on the dance floor, as promised.â You say, holding her hands while she dances on you. âYouâre gonna need to do more than stand there if you want him to notice you.â She remarks, not skipping a beat. Yelena knew you too well, she knew you picked the 40s for a reason, not going with their free spirit 60s slumber get up.
Giving her a wide eyed look, as if he heard over the thumping music. âWe both know I have no rhythm, stop that.â You giggle when she presses her back against you and slides down into a squat. She goes behind you and grabs your hips, forcing you against her chest. She grinds you into her pelvis, using her hands to guide your hips in sync with hers. You never moved that way before, and the sensuality of it had your heart racing. Yelena could be anyone, tightly holding on to you, you closed your eyes and threw your head back on her shoulder, just to imagine it was him for a moment.
You feel Yelenaâs lips tickle your ear and sheâs whispering âLook who canât take their eyes off of you.â You tilt your head down and open your eyes to lock them with Buckyâs. He looks angry, like you pissed in his cheerios. You turn your body around to face Yelena, âI think heâs upset Iâm blocking his view from you.â. That causes her to laugh out loud, grabbing your shoulders to shake you. âYouâre mad woman! Look at whatâs right in front of you.â. You laugh and look behind you to see Bucky staring down his beer now, instead of you.
âYelena, I donât know how to put this, he probably doesnât even go for girls like me, skinny blonde seems more his type. You, you seem more his type.â You plead with her. She just shakes her head, âHe doesnât like me, I promise, Y/N.â You nod your head, trusting the closest friend you had.
â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘
You make your way to the bar, grabbing a drink to cool yourself off. Youâre walking back to the booth to get off your feet when you overhear Steve and Buckyâs conversation.
âYouâve got to be kidding.â
âYou look like a helpless puppy, just make your move.â
âAs if Iâd need to, sheâs probably never had male attention, thatâs too easy.â
âJust admit that youâre afraid of rejection.â
âFrom her? Never in a million years would fatty have a chance. Like I said sheâs obviously not my type.â. Bucky instantly regretted the words as they came out of his mouth, he didnât mean it. But Steve wouldnât stop accusing him of having a crush on you.
Tears threaten to spill from your eyes, but you push them down. You knew better, Yelena didnât, you shouldnât have let her give you false hope. You choke down your pride and turn the corner, sliding into the booth as if nothing happened. âI think this is my last drink guys, Iâm getting tired, and winter training starts tomorrow.â.
An echo of boosâ and a ânoooo why.â Almost tempt you to stay. But you know youâre not wanted here, by the one person that mattered. Steve catches your attention, âAre you sure? The nights still young.â He wiggles his brows. You give him a tight lipped smile, knowing he tried to get Bucky to make a move.
âYeah, thereâs really not much for me here. I came for Natasha.â He nods, giving Bucky a death glare. You finish your drink and when you stand up the previous shots you had with Wanda hit you. You quickly sit back down, grabbing the table for stability. âAre you alright?â Steve rests his hand on your lower back, scooting closer to you.
You shake your head, not being able to form words. You think youâd faint if you didnât focus on breathing. âLet me help you home.â He can see the unsure expression on your face. âWouldnât be respecting the suit if I didnât make sure you got home safe.â. With that he convinced you.
When the cold October air hits your face, it sobers you a little bit, taking away the dizzy feeling, leaving you with a thumping head. Steve takes a few minutes to join you outside, you left him in a heated whisper match with Bucky.
Youâre leaned against the side of the building when he finds you. âReady to go?â He offers you his arm but you shake your head. âNo need to be such a gentleman, itâs just me.â You say, knowing heâs doing it just to be nice.
Steve cocks his head to the side. âWhy shouldnât I be a gentleman towards you?â He asks. You press your pounding head against the brick wall, closing your eyes to think of the right words. âThe only reason a guy needs to be a gentleman is for good impressions. I highly doubt you feel a need to impress me.â.
He scoffs at you, âWhat gives you the impression that youâre not worth impressing?â. Even though you were tipsy, Buckyâs words seared your frontal lobe. You suddenly are at a loss for words. How do you tell him you were eavesdropping on their conversation.
âI just donât get much male attention I guess.â You let him in, his eyes widen in realization that you heard Buckyâs harsh words. âIâm sorry about him, he doesnât know what heâs talking about.â He says, stepping closer to you. You roll your eyes at him.
âNo, he knew exactly what he was talking about. Fatty is no oneâs type. No one looks at me and thinks âwoah, the most beautiful woman in the world just walked in the roomâ.â You push yourself off the wall. âI understand that you wouldnât get that, since youâre so perfect Steve. Women lay down at your feet, your options are endless. But not for someone like me.â.
Steveâs face had turned into a stone. His jaw clenched tightly. He let you vent out your frustrations. âThe way you looked at the girls, the way half the club looked at the girls, Iâll never have that.â. You look at your feet and notice him take a step closer to you. You look up to see your faces not too far apart.
âI was looking at you too.â He reaches out, letting his hands hover over your waist. He rests them on your hips when your donât push him away. âI donât care what he said, heâs just insecure, he canât admit that he thinks youâre hot.â You scoff at him this time.
âSteve whatever youâre doing, I get the whole nice guy thing. But just stop.â You say, pressing your hand against his chest. The thin polyester did nothing to conceal his smooth muscles. You feel him squeeze your sides tighter, his thumbs pressing into your belly. âHe doesnât speak for me.â.
You look into his dark eyes. âWhat are you saying?â. Youâd never even humored yourself by considering Steve. You now had to rethink every encounter you ever had with him. âForget him, let me show you how a real man appreciates a woman.â
He slides his hands down, letting them grasp as much of your ass that could fit in them. You gasp, he wasnât afraid of your body, he knows what it has to offer. Judging by the way he gripped on to your ass like his life depended on it, he liked it.
âWhat if someone sees?â You say, pushing his hands off of you. He replaces them âIâm not afraid, why are you?â He leans down, connecting your lips, youâre frozen for a moment. How do you kiss him back? Before you could find out you feel a hand on your shoulder, ripping you away from Steve.
âWhat are you doing?â Bucky is talking to his friend, ignoring your existence. âExcuse me, we were in the middle of something.â Steve steps between you and Bucky. âYou shouldnât be out here hooking up with a random coworker.â Bucky says, trying to convince himself.
âY/N isnât a random coworker, Jesus Bucky, whatâs your problem?â Steve asks, letting his anger show. He knew what he was doing, if Bucky wouldnât admit it on his own, jealousy would work just fine. Bucky balls up his fists at his side âYou know what my problem is.â.
Youâre staring at Steveâs back, you donât know what Buckyâs talking about. Is he so repulsed by a plus size woman, he doesnât even want his friend with one? You were done, youâd never done anything to Bucky besides exist. He had an imaginary problem with you.
You stepped around Steve, crossing your arms in front of your chest. You donât know where the boost of confidence came from, probably Steveâs lips and hand placement. You look Bucky up and down, truly taking him in.
He was perfect, and he knew it. It was starting to disgust you. âJust because âfattysâ like me have no chance with you, doesnât mean that Iâm not worthy of another man being attracted to me.â You take a step back, pressing yourself against Steve. Just to show Bucky, you meant business.
Basing it off of the hard indentation on the front of Steveâs spandex, he liked watching you tell Bucky off. You turn your body around to face him, throwing a look over your shoulder at Bucky, âTake me home Stevie.â You sing song in his ear.
A smirk falls on his lips, âLetâs do that princess.â He says while leading you out of the alley. Bucky is stuck in place, having an internal war with himself, that you werenât gonna stick around for.

I need you to stop me from making another Tim Drake centric fic
I got this random idea that wonât leave me alone
like what if the emotional scars and trauma people have show up physically too most commonly as little cracks on the skin and all of the bats have them
they hide them tho with make up and stuff so people donât question it except Tim hides them from everyone maybe bc thatâs what his parents taught him to do maybe bc he just doesnât want to burden any of the bats
the bats think that Tim is fine so to them heâs invincible which leads them to treat him as such subconsciously or otherwise especially Bruce
it takes a lot for something to be bad enough that they physically manifest and Tim has A LOT bc everyone thinks heâs invincible
:) it wonât leave me alone help me I beg of you
Hmm.... Let's add on, shall we? This is a very rad idea. You should definitely write a fic about it, but no pressure.
Mind if I explore it? Also, feel free to disregard any part below you don't want/disagree with. This is just brainstorming ^^
Alright. Emotional scars are a physical mark on someone's skin.
Similar to regular scars, they can fade as a person heals.
Some may never disappear, and some only appear for a short time.
What would their color be?
Would they look like actual cracks in a person (so black-ish in color)? Would they be gold or multi-colored (different colors represent different kinds of emotional traumas)?
The level of hurt inflicted is directly proportional to the size (length and width) of the scar.
Perhaps more could be deduced from the general shape (is it jagged? A single line? Branching?)
Not all people have these marks
Most of the population manifests them. There's some prejudice against folk who don't [something something they are heartless, incapable of feelings, not able to be emotionally hurt, cold, detached, etc.], but hiding scars is also common. Therefore, it's harder to discern whether someone is hiding their marks or markless. It's a very fine line, so most people allow a smaller mark to show every once in a while. There's even a few trends to proudly display all marks.
Marks appear at the time of the emotional harm
It may not be apparent at the time due to the location, but the individual being hurt will manifest the mark at the very moment of emotional harm.
Anyways, that's the background stuff. Fun, but let's get into Tim specifically ^^
Tim's parents are part of the few who believe that showing off your scars to anyone, even your loved ones, is both a weakness and a way to guilt-trip people. Therefore, through their archeology studies, they managed to obtain magical objects to prevent the showing of emotional marks. It's similar to glamor.
Tim's object can change forms to suit his needs (so a ring at one moment and an earring the next). This ability prevents the Bats from discovering it.
Janet fakes a very small mark on her hand when she wants to discourage any rumors that's she's incapable of manifesting marks. For Tim, though, his parents wanted him to have rumors of being incapable of forming marks. It served their purpose better for him being the cunning Drake heir.
The deception started from birth, so no one but the Drakes know of Tim's ability to form marks [and the Drake parents never see the marks they leave behind on their child].
The Waynes, long before Tim entered their life, were aware of these rumors. Thus, when Tim demands to become Robin, he doesn't correct their assumptions.
Bruce is a callous fucker to Tim at the start. If Tim can't be hurt emotionally, then Bruce's ill-treatment of him is fine (which is flawed logic. The markless can be emotionally hurt, and they still deserve kindness, dignity, and respect even if they couldn't. Bruce was mentally fucked up, but it doesn't excuse his treatment).
Eventually, Bruce comes to the second realization that Tim should still be treated well even if it doesn't hurt him regardless. The man's behavior is better, but he still has the notion in mind that Tim can't be emotionally hurt. He uses this for missions and to downplay the way his other kids treat Tim (specifically Jason and Damian when they first meet Tim).
Tim gets used to a rotation of insult-names: Robot Robin, heartless, markless (said insultingly), cold-blooded, unfeeling bastard, etc.
He's also subject to a TON of misunderstandings. People are more reluctant to love him due to the belief that he can't love them back. He gets yelled at and told off for "masking/faking his emotions" when he's actually being genuine.
Which adds to his hurt :)
He also has to pretend not to grieve his parents when they die :(
Due to how rare markless are, the Bats don't meet "another" one until after the BruceQuest. When they chat with this person, they realize how many misconceptions they have about them (such as the markless being incapable of feelings. In fact, they accidentally offend that person when they tell the other they don't need to fake their emotions in front of the Bats. Safe to say, the markless individual becomes incensed when they realize how they've been treating their own markless family member).
This would be at least four (probably closer to five) years after Tim first became Robin. The entire family has a meltdown.
Tim, on the other hand, is used to the treatment the Bats have been giving him and becomes incredibly uncomfortable with them trying to care for his feelings and whatnot. It's rocky for a long while as everyone tries to seek forgiveness for something Tim bitterly doesn't hold against them (he is lying to them after all).
Tim rarely, if ever, views his own marks. The last time he checked was when he was having his identity crisis after Robin was taken from him. His entire body, from head to toe, had cracks in it. There was a giant, gaping crack on his back for the metaphorical stab in the back it was.
And we haven't even gotten to when the Bats figure out Tim was never markless :)
