So I watch Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... holy shit I love this movie.

I'd never gotten around to watching this movie till 1am tonight and it is some of the funniest shit I've every seen. It's got found family, silly Mikey who is both party dude and big heart boi, angst, blood, Leo having the the pressure of the world- ok you get it. but while watching it I noticed some things that made me grin and flap my hands like a nerd.

so every leo just has the silly gay slut pose? hell yeah that's hilarious.

god I love this stupid van. I need Leo to say this rn "Batman, we need something stronger to get in that base, the bat mobile just isn't made to take a real beating... so batman, get in the party wagon."

Nightwatcher is canon in tmnt 2019 and no one can tell me otherwise

poor Donnie, just put the poor boy down. not to mention how Donnie gets his arm super broken later in the movie. sigh, send him help.

Leo. GET THERAPY, when you start hallucinating the first thing that pops into your brain shouldn't be: "Oh dang all my brothers are dead and It's all my fault, I'm a terrible leader and it should've been me"

also the first of his brothers both 2012 and 2019 Leo try's to help/cheek on/ try's to get up is Mikey cause he's the baby... omg I love this.

Playing around with Alastor’s design a little bit. He would still wear most of the same outfit he wore back then, don't fix what's not broken, but with an added suit jacket that's a bit too big for him. I need to make a bit of to at some point, but after his break up he draws on a pencil mustache to add on to his emphasis of having a new appearance while still staying in his time.

A post depression mustache if you will.

As for some of his creepy aspects I'm cutting out the voodoo elements of his character, and instead using the uncanny and analog horror elements instead (I am a simple creature).

I need to actually remake the color pallets for him and old Vox, but essentially they both start off as black and white or with grey like colors, and gain new ones after they split up. Vox becomes more saturated and Alastor becomes sepiatone, as while it's more colorful it's still is reminiscent of the past.

Now time for some of the silly rivalry bits:

I’d image they would have casual debates on the radio and tv that would soon devolve into insults and eventually nothing but 30/50s slang and Creole French that would last for hours.

I need to finish writing this bit, but basically Charlie sees it as a good idea to go on Vox’s talk show to promote the hotel and herself. There’s some lil rivalry moments between Vox and Al, but ultimately Vox doesn’t fully let his grudges get in the way of hosting a good show.

Even though they mutually broke up they still each regret ending the relationship, and as such covey their loneliness in their respective mediums. Vox making sad, gay movies and being so worn out after that when he watches them he doesn’t even know what he made.

And Alastor having a late night audio story about a turtle and a hare going on adventures. There are times where he’ll just start describing crushing regret and isolation, and he’ll realize that he may have gone a bit far and try to steer it towards more of a happy ending with Vox listening in on all of it.

Something something relationship meme with a sketch I’ll probably never finish. Also surprising, but also not that surprising, to me that in "Stayed Gone" they didn't go with the obvious joke on what to call his late night talk show.

The grrls r fighting!! But for real this time.

Been playing with the idea of Vox turning into pure energy when he's overly stressed, or just becoming a weird robot creature as form he can take as an overlord. It's probably going to result in a lot of sketches where I 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 won't use Videodrome as inspiration (lie).

At some point I need to get a good animation program and just start making a bunch of animatics or animations cause I have so many song inspirations for these two.

Specifically one that I want to make a whole animation for is “(They Long to Be) Close to You.” Basically it’s just going to be them fighting interspersed with moments of them waltzing together. I think you can probably parse out the metaphors and connections I'm going for here.

Also me and a friend were talking about song inspirations and after I continually listened, watched, and worked (at least for me) on Hadestown we just replaced Hades with Vox in some of the songs.

One stanza that I need to make an animatic for is in Chant Reprise, specifically 2:33-3:18 with the “I conduct the electric city” line.

This is going to become a bit of promotion for the show cause I love it so much. Probably my favorite musical ever! Also highly recommend listening to this version of "Chant," cause there’s a verse for Persephone and Eurydice that provide some cool reflections that reflect the original “Chant” in their verses.

There’s no direct references to any of the other characters, although you can add your own interpretations.

On that note here’s another song that reflects them. “How Long?” mainly with the “your pity won’t fit in my bed” lines, and when Hades and Persephone are actually singing to each other turning it into being about their relationship instead of the fates of Orpheus and Eurydice.

well, sadly i finished the second season of ‘good omens’ a few hours ago and after a really long nap, here we have:

“some things about the second season of ‘good omens’ that really stuck with me and i’ll think about forever and ever (amen)”

• beginning of creation and my baby crowley being just so excited about the galaxy, and stars, and her little jumps and shouts, she’s my silly girl

• crowley protecting aziraphale from the stars rain (or whatever was going on in there) with his wing and later on, aziraphale doing the same

• aziraphale caring about crowley since the beginning of ages is just so heartwarming

• “how much trouble can i get into just for asking a few questions?” my princess just wanted to know what was all of this for, is that so wrong?

• aziraphale thinking crowley was talking about him when he said the stars were beautiful pls

• their little lunches through all the season, at the pub, the cafeteria, the other little french stablishment, etc

• aziraphale panicking while explaining crowley why is there a “naked man” on his library 😭😭

• crowley recognizing “trouble” on aziraphale voice just because they know each other that well

• the amount of times “our” and “we” was used to by crowley and aziraphale themselves, talking as if they could not live without the other (they actually can’t)

• crowley refusing to help aziraphale and aziraphale being like “okay, i can’t make you help me, i’ll be fine” and crowley simply throwing a tantrum just to be back and help him

• crowley’s tantrum, yes, but specially the way he stomps on the ground like a little kid

• their little apology dance lmfao (how much cuter can they get?)

• the way they worked together to make a silly little small minuscule miracle once and ended up being way too extra like it wasn’t that hard!

• crowley introducing aziraphale to food

• also, crowley in the turtle neck (i would’ve also used any excuse to put my hand in his chest like that, aziraphale)

• the magic trick and how the person aziraphale thinks of when they say “trust” is automatically crowley, they make me so ugh

• aziraphale not only stealing the proof photo, but keeping it and showing it to crowley

• crowley actually lending aziraphale his car, like he’s so down bad it hurts (if anyone ever had a doubt of how much love this man has for his angel, then this must say something)

• crowley on the library, carrying books, his little sweater, throwing the books everywhere, she’s just so cutesy, i need to eat her

• aziraphale and crowley being domestic and cute and in love together, my babies

• crowley making hot chocolate for gabriel (plus that one time he went all protective on aziraphale)

• the way aziraphale has a dairy (and probably many other) where he writes about crowley, and he just talks about her with so much love, excitement, cherishing their memories together

• the way neither crowley, nor aziraphale ever deny the gay accusations like they just stare and say nothing because they are!

• crowley following aziraphale everywhere when he was organizing his ball pls

• aziraphale and crowley dancing 💓💓💓

• crowley and aziraphale trying to get nina and maggie together when they can’t sort out their own shit like bffr and talk abt ur feelings instead?

• the kiss (boy, you needed to talk, there’s many time for kissing later; or there was, who knows)

• “i forgive you” lovely, you have so much audacity but this wasn’t the moment haha! (still love u, aziraphale, i promise)

• “you idiot, we could’ve been… us” i think them telling each other to kill themselves would’ve hurt me less

• crowley in the car, still waiting in case aziraphale decided to change his mind (i threw up)

• aziraphale literally looking like he’s going insane while leaving crowley like he’s genuinely just losing it more every single second that passes

• conclusion, they are very much in love, they just need a break and many, many deep talks about their feelings

"Valentine's Day art collection (sort of)"

Happy Valentine's Day! Here are the pen traced versions of my two favorite gay hedgehogs, and here are my TMNT Mutant Mayhem first two couples with my ocs. (I would've drawn Miffy and Reagan art, but I haven't drawn their bases just yet, I'm so sorry about that.)

So anyway, I have a short little story for these three. But since we all know how the first top part goes, I'm going for the bonus Sonadow.

"Nose to Nose" - Sonic grabbed Shadow quickly in a flash by his arms, making the dark hedgehog yelped in surprise. Suddenly, his nose touched the speedy blue hedgehog's nose. Still surprised by this, Shadow is speechless by this, which makes Sonic smile.

"Oh, come on, Shads. Don't act like you never wanted a nose to nose," Sonic said coyly.

"I don't. But just to humor you, I'll go along," Shadow said with a smirk on his face.

The hedgehogs then rubbed their noses together, making their hearts soar.

"I love you, faker," Shadow said.

"I love you, too, Shadow," Sonic said happily.

Shadow chuckled. "I love you more."

"I know you do."

"Alinardo adorkable kiss selfie" - "Come on, Leo! Let's take a selfie together!" Lea called out to Leo from peaking her head through the curtain into his and his brothers' bedroom after finishing cleaning up his twin katana blades with a rag.

He smiled as he put his blades in the corner of his space. "Okay, we'll go and take some with my phone," he said as he stepped out of the room.

"Yay!" Lea cheered. She watched Leo take out his cell phone from his belt, open up a camera app, and gesture the girl to come. She placed her hand onto his shoulder and prepared to smile for the camera. Just then, Lea pulled Leo closer to her face and began to kiss him on the cheek. Blushing, the leader in blue smiles for the camera with his adorkable smile as he takes the photo.

After the photo was taken, Lea took the phone and took a look at it with a smile. "Aw, Leo! We look so cute together! You especially look so cute with that smile."

Still blushing and smiling, Leo has a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Y-you think I have a cute smile?"

"I don't think, I know," the human replied.

The mutant turtle couldn't help but grinned widely.

"Hey, think you can send me this photo to my phone?" Lea asked as she gave Leo back his phone. "I want to save it and use it for my home wallpaper."

"Sure. I'd would love to," Leo said warmly.

"Susietello surprise kiss selfie" - Susie was studying on the dining table in the Turtles' lair when Donnie was approaching towards her. "Hey, Sue. Want to take a selfie with me?" Donnie asked as he took out his phone.

"Well, I'm a little busy at the moment, but I guess I can relax my brain for a bit," the human friend said as she closed her textbook and set it aside.

They both walked towards the opening of the lair, and Donnie had his camera ready. Meanwhile, Sue was planning how to make this selfie photo more memorable as she was fixing her pastel green hair and her glasses.

"Okay, ready?" the purple clad turtle asked.

"Ready," Sue answered.

The two get close together with the timer set. As Donnie smiled for the camera, he felt a hand on his head and a small kiss on his side of his head. It was Sue, and his facial expression changed from a photogenic smile to a surprised one. The camera clicked, and they both took a look at the photo. Donnie's heart was fluttering when he saw the proof of Sue kissing him.

"Uh, did-did you just?..." he stammered timidly.

"Yeah, I did. I thought this photo would be nice instead of our usual peace signs and making silly faces each time we take selfies," Sue smiled warmly. "Sorry about that."

Donnie couldn't help but blush at this. He smiled back to her. "No. This is perfect. I love it. Thank you for that. I really mean it."

"You're welcome, D. Anything for my best mutant turtle friend ever."

They shared smiles towards each other and began to head back to the lair. Donnie couldn't stop thinking of Sue's actions to the camera. He didn't expect that to happen, but it did. He was surprised, but he was happy that his human crush kissed him. Wish it would be on the lips, though, but oh well. There's always next time.

I LOVE 'Eyes of the chimera' episode. They were basically supporting each other all the way.

Ngl the transfem Leo lovers made me love it even more because I love me some lesbians. TMNT is already filled with some lesbians so why not add more!

I love how April is always by Leo's side and we see how much she cares for him.

I love the idea that April used to be into Space Heroes and then Leo got her back into it.

Controversial opinion: It's cute.

They both have the same energy and another controversial opinion but, Leo has a way closer relationship with April then Donnie. I've kind of seen more scenes with them together then with her and Donnie.

Though just like last time I prefer her being an older sister figure to him that Leo looks up to.

They both care for each other and love each other no matter what.

April pretty much comforts the turtles about their insecurities so she would do the same with Leo.

Probably a 6/10 or something. Again, prefer them as siblings but don't hate it. I'll kind of indulge in it tbh-

Hi Shaz, how are you today?

I've been quietly observing people's reactions to Jimin's last vlive, more specifically towards his answer on whether Jungkook had cooked him ramen, and, while some of them were understanding, others were very insensitive and even harsh.

Just a few weeks ago, Holland, one of the few publicly out gay artists of Korea, was assaulted on the streets because of his sexuality. I guess not many people heard of it, but it's not exactly a surprise. Korea might be evolving on the subject of homophobia little by little, but it's turtle steps.

Now, Holland is famous, but I don't even have to say how much more famous Jimin and Jungkook are. If Holland got some attention for coming out, then Jungkook and Jimin will have everyone and their mama's attention if they ever do.

So, in a world where Jimin can't even step outside without being photographed and chased, in a world where he can't go to a restaurant to eat with friends without everyone on the internet knowing, in a world where his mail is stolen and his privacy is invaded, and in a world where his relationship with Jungkook is closely observed, Jimin has all the right in the world to kept ONE LITTLE THING to himself, to cherish and protect from the media's claws and the public's judgment. And that's exactly what he's doing, while also protecting himself along the way.

I mean, if Taennie, a hetero couple, came out and still had all that backlash (Taehyung was criticized by his own fans who live in their crazy, jealous delusions, and Jennie gets called a whore like, at least ten times a day), imagine if Jungkook and Jimin tried anything like that? When they already get hate just by fucking standing next to each other?

Was Jimin deflective? Yes, he was. Do I think his deflective behavior is exclusively towards Jungkook? No.

Jimin is a very private person, we all know that. I don't know why we have to keep repeating this, but okay.

What I mean is: if Jimin was questioned about something/someone else very important in his personal life, like his family, his romantic relationship, or his close, not-famous friends, or something he cares about and doesn't want the media/fans to know too much about or interfere with, he would deflect. He might even give a short answer, just something so he won't be too obvious about it, but he'll probably change the subject really fast.

The reason is obvious: he clearly wants to separate his personal life from his public life, and he knows very damn well how to do that. Jungkook happens to be one of these people he loves, adores and cares about so much (one of the most important ones besides his family, no doubt), and, because of that, he wants to protect them. He wants people to keep their noses out of their business, and he's so right for it.

That's also why he talks about the other members (mostly Hoseok and Yoongi) more openly: because there is nothing to hide. They're best friends and family, and he loves them just as much, but there is nothing at stake between them. There is nothing between them that could risk their careers and their safety. He can talk about visiting Yoongi and he can talk about meeting up with Hobi because people don't keep a close eye on them like they do with him and Jungkook. People won't bat an eye if he says he just saw Namjoon yesterday.

See, the rain fight isn't too personal, that's why he was so smiley and open to share when it was brought up. It's a funny memory for him, just like the dumpling incident, as bad as it was (they make it sound like it was the whole world war iii lmao), they all laugh about it. He can tell fans about that without giving too much away.

Now, to let people in as to whether he was at Jungkook's place or not? Hmm, that might not be too much for us, but it is for him, and we don't have to understand that, but we have to respect it and stop questioning their bond over something so silly as ramen.

Jimin saying that Jungkook hasn't cooked ramen for him yet doesn't mean that he's cold towards Jungkook, and it doesn't mean that they don't see each other. There are literally so many other things to do, and we need to get it in our heads that they will not tell us everything that they do, and that, if they want to, they'll lie to us. They can lie to us, they don't owe us anything.

"Oh but they wouldn't do that they wouldn't lie", I'm sorry, but please grow up. Even our parents/family/friends lie to us sometimes, what makes you think that these grown men who, yes, love us, BUT DONT OWE US anything and don't know us personally, wouldn't lie to us when it comes to it? Like... Some people have to wake up, because the real world isn't a fairytale, your idols have the right to keep their lives private, and being gay in Korea will never be easy.

Sorry for the long ask, but I'm just getting tired of the Jimin backlash.

It’s my birthday again!

WOOOOOO CONFETTI🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

In honor of such a wonderful day, I made this piece for an art project (a month ago but SsSsSsSSSshHHHhh) showcasing every persona/self insert oc that I had over the years that I am now sharing with you all, along with small descriptions about them for context!

2018 was when I started making oc’s for tmnt 2012, and they were all cringe as hell. For example, here we have Princess Hikari (right), Princess of Iro and the element of color and light (it was 2018 and I’m pretty sure I was also obsessed with Gacha Life mini movies at the time). She was a part of my very first ever tmnt 2012 au where most of the most cast is actually from a different planet where the impossible can happen and certain characters of the main cast were elemental, but due to a villain becoming too powerful, they all flee to earth and most of them lose their memories. On Earth, Hikari disguised herself as Kodie Jackson (left), she was cool, quirky, and always had a good comeback, both in combat and in smack-talk (basically she was a “not-like-other-girls” girl without the whole putting other women down stuff). She also had a crush on Leo, along with every other oc I made during this era.

2020 was when I took a break from tmnt 2012 (shocking, I know) and hyperfixated on Casino Cups, a Cuphead au comic series on Tumblr that I got into because of VOAdams comic dubs for it. I made PLENTY of oc’s, au’s within the au’s, and lore for this (because I was 13 and cringe, what did you expect), some of it I still have content for and all of it I still have info for in the deep dark crevices of my mind. This was also when I had a TikTok account (that I don’t post on anymore) and this was also the era where my persona changed the most. But out of all of them, Juicehead was my favorite, even if I never inserted her into the Casino Cups cannon.

Oh boy, 2021, the year I came back onto the tmnt 2012 scene, the year I came back to my roots and STAYED there, the year I saw a “I made 9 of these, the first one you see determines your life in tmnt 2012” Instagram post and thought “……..but what if I WAS the Foot Clan?” Well, not at first, at first I was still with the turtles. My characters name was Irene (top), she was a demon who knew black magic, and she was best friends with Mikey (not crushing, this was also the year I decided to just stop crushing on tmnt 2012 characters for reasons I barely know). It wasn’t until that summer that I saw that fateful Instagram post and decided “yep, I like the Foot Clan henchmen now, and that’s how it’s gonna be for the rest of my life.” After that I ditched the demon horns, straightened my ponytail, got a new outfit, and changed her name to Dioxazine (bottom). She was alright, honestly I don’t think I did much with her.

In 2023 we got Comet, my girly, my popstar, my silly little gay. Surprise surprise, Comet used to be my persona/self insert before I decided to make her my oc (however she’s still my projection character). She’s actually been on the scene since 2022! But since then, her appearance been through a some changes from changing her shorts to pants, to shortening her hair, and other small things (if anything I think her lore has gone through the most changes). Either way, she’s a cutie patootie and I love her. This was also the era where my writing skills got better, now everything is less cringe :D👍

And finally, we’ve come to 2024, Sleepy! My persona today! You already know her, her face is a screen, her mask doubles as noise-canceling headphones (for optimal sleep of course), and her socks change every time! She’s in a constant state of being not quite sleepy but not quite awake either and she’s always wearing her jammies, comfy!

A paper star.

Such a tiny thing tucked away in the front pocket of his bag. Small enough that he may never have noticed it if he hadn’t been looking for a fruit bar to munch on, and that was probably the point. After all, Kakashi was a smart man. He knew how to hide things so that they would only be found by the person he’d left it for.

It was folded into a beautiful little star, about half the size of Gai’s palm. Upholding it almost felt like a crime, but he knew it was what Kakashi would want him to do.

Kakashi was a romantic, after all, and he never did anything without a purpose.

So, sitting down in his spot, Gai ripped open his fruit bar and took a bite out of it before focusing his full attention on the little gift Kakashi had left for him. Opening it up proved more difficult than he had first imagined, but with careful breaths and a cautious hand he was successful and he’d only made one tiny tear in the paper.

“Next time,” he whispered to himself as he flattened the paper between his palms. “I’ll make sure I don’t rip it next time, Rival.”

Kakashi wasn’t there to hear his promise, but he knew that it would reach him. Somehow his words always seemed to reach Kakahsi, even the words he never intended for him to hear. It was as if Kakashi had access to his very thoughts, though the other man assured him that was not the case when he sometimes joked about his ability to read his mind.

Once the paper was sufficiently flat, with none of the creases impeding his ability to read it, Gai settled back into his spot, took another bite of his bar, and began to read.

Turtle,

One night is beginning to feel like too little. I know it’s more than we could ask for, but there’s a part of me that wants to be greedy with my time. A piece of my heart which begs for me to stay in bed and watch you as you sleep.

Do you know how handsome you are? Has anyone ever told you that you snore in your sleep, or that sometimes you’ll grab your pillow and wrap yourself around it while muttering to yourself?

I wish I could watch you forever.

I wish that the world would stop spinning and time would stand still for just a few precious hours. It’s time I would be with you.

Time in which we could simply exist. Not as enemies or rivals, but as us.

Two hearts calling from far away wishing to be with each other.

Perhaps it’s cheesy. I could understand why you would laugh at my words and call me ridiculous, but I can’t help but feel as though I have to say it. There aren't words I can give you in my own voice, but maybe if I write them down you’ll understand just how much I love you.

I couldn’t sleep last night and for the first time in years I was alright with that because I was with you. I didn’t have to close my eyes and dream of being at your side, because for one precious night I was actually there.

I could touch your skin.

I could watch you sleep.

I could enjoy a few peaceful moments when the rest of the world didn’t matter, and there was only you.

I don’t know how long it will be until I can see you again. Life is complicated and our villages need us, but I hope…

It’s silly, but I hope that I can listen to those beautiful snores and lose myself in your scent again. If not tomorrow, then one day. Some precious day in the future where we can steal away some time again, and our villages can survive without us for one precious night.

Gai re-read the note once, and then twice, and a third time. With each re-read he took another bite out of his bar, promising himself that he would get up and continue on his way once the snack was finished.

Before long there was nothing but an empty wrapper left sitting in his hand, and still he didn’t move. No matter how hard he tried he couldn’t drag his eyes away from the paper.

‘I have to commit it to memory’ he told himself as his eyes scanned over it again. ‘I I do that, then I won’t forget’

He could keep it. If he hid it well enough no one would ever find it, and then it would be his little secret. The note that he could pull out and read whenever he needed something to pull him through a tough day. A precious memory from the lover whom he couldn’t see.

That would be going against Kakashi’s wishes though, and no matter how much he wanted Gai would never do that. He knew that Kakashi’s concerns were genuine. If the wrong person were to get their hands on the note they could use it as blackmail, or present it to the Tsuchikage. Kakashi’s name may not have been in the note, but there was enough information to get him into a ton of trouble, and Onoki-Sama was not a man known for his patience or kindness.

‘Just once more,’ he promised as his eyes returned to the beginning of the little note and read over that stupid nickname Kakashi had given him when they were still teenagers. Back when neither of them would admit how important they were to each other. ‘Once more.’

He read it again, and again, and again. Never stopping to think about who might question him when he arrived back at the village later than he should have, or the risk he was putting himself under sitting in one spot for so long. None of that mattered. Not when he had a note from Kakashi sitting in his hands, the tender words of his lover’s heart written out just for him.

“Once more,” his fingers curled into the delicate paper, crumpling it. “Just once more.”

These are all me-centric. Hm. I've always liked dragons. They were always so interesting to me. I remember watching old irl videos where dragons were edited in to make it look like they were real, and dragon roleplaying games on roblox. I also watched this series by tiny turtle who had this series (might have restarted recently-) that was basically HTTYD in minecraft, and I loved it to bits. I have some merch from them, but the logo is cracked and I grew out of it. I still have it though. Dinosaurs are also linked to dragons, lol.

Argh . might be weird but male aligned/presenting characters. I dont know a time ive stimmed over female or female presenting ones. I have.. So many headcanons for these two, but I'll stick to a couple each or else we'll be here all night lmao

Both of them had pets/animal companions in life! Viktor had a very affectionate Wallow named Dmitri, while Archemorus had his trusted (if a handful) Siege Turtle Artemis.

When it comes to their families in life, we know for a fact that Viktor had children in canon (as Count Petrov zu Heltzer in GW1 claims that he and his daughter are direct descendants of Viktor), so in my HC for him, he had a wife named Dominika who was from House Vasburg, and the two of them had a bunch of daughters! Viktor wasn't as good of a father as he would have liked, but he did love his children dearly. The marriage between him and Dominika was political, and loveless, but they did appreciate each other as friends.

Archemorus, on the other hand, doesn't have any canonical descendants as far as we know. However my HC is that he had a husband named Lysandros, and they had a son and a daughter! And Archemorus was a VERY good dad <3

On the note of Archemorus -- I don't think we know for sure if the distinct Clans among the Luxons were things prior to the Jade Wind, but if they were, I imagine Archemorus was of the Turtle Clan!

this is why Greta from A League of Their Own blows my mind. we keep on talking about how most wlw representation on television is pretty feminine women who are unoffensive and appealing to men. can’t have hairy dykes, right?? and that sucks and I need my butches and masc lesbians and especially my hairy dykes, but I also need people to understand that I need femmes. Femmes are not the same as feminine women, and Greta?? she’s a femme through and through. That femininity of hers is queer as fuck and I could cry tears of joy watching her on screen. I am being served a whole feast here and I’m so. fucking. grateful

it's so impossibly healing to read and write about queer people in their 40s and 50s. Especially if they're still figuring out some stuff about themselves.

it's like!! there's no expiration date on being a gay disaster!! you can be 42 and quit your job and try something new and fall in love because whatever you had going on before wasn't working for you and that's so!!!? freeing??! comforting?!? holy shit

Blackbeard is definitely a masculinity performance. in the time we've seen him with Stede, he started experimenting with that, with his gender and his presentation and his softness and the expectations placed on him, and we've seen him bloom. jfc even the beard gone is something my brain instantly categorized as gender. to me, it absolutely has the feel and the emotional weight of a transition story. but then it goes awfully wrong and Ed gets his feelings hurt and he's like. i cannot be loved and i cannot be seen as who i am because people will hate me and leave me for it. you know what maybe it was safer in the closet. i'm gonna paint on a beard and become a 'real man' again.

can't believe they literally gave us Stede's italicized "Oh." moment. the way they put that in the script. The way Rhys Darby acted it out. I got to watch with my own two eyes the moment this man realized he was in love with Ed. Cannot fucking believe it, I must be dreaming
