Ma'am, sir, or whatever you want to be called, do you even know the meaning of the word "enemy"?

Enemy: 1) a person who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something. 2) a hostile nation or its armed forces, especially in time of war. 3) a thing that harms or weakens something else.

These are the different meanings of "enemy". So no, someone you disagree with about little things is not your enemy. For the love of God, understand it already. An enemy is someone you hate. An enemy is someone you want to hurt. An enemy is someone you want to see destroyed. An enemy is someone you'd like to kill. It's someone with a completely different morality, with different morals, with different ways of seeing the world.

An enemy it's not a person who jokes with you like "Oh, you're an idiot" "No, you". It's someone who takes seriously the fights against you, who would do anything to see you defeated and broken. That's what an enemy would do. If they do nothing like these things, they're not your enemy. They can be your rival, or someone you don't get along with, but definitely not an enemy.

And if you don't like these things, then you definitely don't like enemies to lovers ships. Because enemies to lovers ships are based on "two enemies -and I'll repeat it again just in case: two enemies- falling in love, after one corrupts or one redeems". If you don't like/don't accept two people hurting each other when they are enemies and then falling in love, don't pretend you like the enemies to lovers trope, because trust me, you really don't. You don't even know what's the trope about-

been working on these for almost a week now... LET ME OUT (creds to @the_angler_mann on twt for the concept/text etc. on the top right) you can check out the polished zooms under the cut and my rambling

[+] jerome and jeremiah doodle is meant to be them working together instead of jerome meeting his fate (still gasses miah though, what can i say they have a tumultuous relationship) & the song he's singing is Bohemian Rhapsody i do think he would rub in their mother's death for the funny [+] jeremiah fiddling with the tie is meant to be representative of him stimming! it will always upset me that we didn't get to see them working together more extensively before the spray, obviously the creation of the initial generator took a long time (then there's the bulk mass-production they did at Wayne Enterprises) but instead we get a jumpcut... mourning not being able to see more scenes of pre-spray jeremiah though if i had it my way half the show would be about jeremiah regardless so perhaps i shouldn't have a say in the matter [+] arkham!miah is from a concept where bruce tries to reverse the effects of the insanity gas - there is no universe where jeremiah would be kept in arkham unless it was some way voluntary imo (like him lying in wait for 10 years for bruce's return) [+] memes made by me :] you can probably tell because they're super shoddy, thank you pinterest for the bases

the best thing ever in a fic or a ship is when one character loves the other like a god. character a may or may not have been religious in the first place, but when they character b they kno that the only god that really exists is them

Jeremiah Valeska threatens to put a bullet in Bruce Wayne's head but doesn't do it because he "loves him and they're best friends", but then he puts a bullet in Ecco's head as "a sign of devotion", the bullet he explicitly stated he wanted to put in Bruce's head first. Like, the show wants you to keep following this thread and draw the parallels; what does he do with Ecco?

He praises her on being so exceptional, so examplary, coos at her, slow dances with her, tries to hold philosophical discussions with her, it's a cheap synthetic imitation of everything he wants to tell Bruce, to do with him, probably has done with him because by establishing this parallels we have to acknowledge that it means Bruce is also "a very intimate, trusted person to him". And all of this leads to "Ace Chemicals" and he's pointing a gun at Bruce again, begging Bruce without words to take a bullet for him, make it count. Please tell me I'm not the only one who hates fics with tags like "Major Character Death" "Hurt No Comfort" "Bittersweet/Sad/Bad Ending" and more. Isn't life enough sad and hard to make the characters from shows/movies unhappy in the fics too? 💀

I mean of course everyone can write whatever they want, but why writing a fic making your favorite characters/favorite pairing suffer until the end of the story when you can give them a happy and beautiful ending????
