Peace Breaks Out

I have noticed that there is a renewed interest in the wonderful sequel of A Separate Peace,, Peace Breaks Out, and I thought it would be a good time to announce that I was planning on trying to draw the book graphic novel style (all rights reserved) so while it'll be a.. long while until I have the first chapter done, if anyone is a fan of PBO, is interested in reading PBO, doesn't know what that is and likes comics, anything else, then please check it out!

And uh feedback is appreciated (constructive feedback hopefully) since I don't have much experience drawing comics 😅 It's just for fun fortunately (because I would never be paid for this😅) And in the meanwhile, please check out @ofmiceandpeace's art and stuff for it! I have found that there are a few (very few) other posters about it, so honestly just read the book and then check out the tag. I know there's not a lot of fans on here, but that doesn't mean there aren't any spoilers...

Season 9 update for Scully’s apartment! (x)

The real ongoing X-Files of the series: the floor plans of Mulder’s and Scully’s apartments. There’s hardly a time where their residences aren’t shape-shifting in some way, if not outright defying the laws of physics. (I really shouldn’t worry about Scully’s apartment moving from the first floor to the third floor when half the time Mulder doesn’t even have a bathroom.) Since I started this blog two months ago, though, I’ve already had a handful of comments about the floor plans— so at least I’m not the only one who’s always trying to figure them out. Finally I just sat down, sorted through my screenshots of all the variations, and tried to find the geometric mean.

So here’s what I consider to be the canonical layouts. Where there’s a conflict, I’ve generally gone with the later episode trumping the former. Like with Mulder’s kitchen: his refrigerator in Chinga, S5, trumps its S1 layout in Deep Throat. However, for something like Scully’s couch, I went with the most well-known arrangement. It’s angled facing her fireplace for most of the show; it’s not until S8-9 that it’s centered in the room, facing the bay windows. Or Mulder’s aforementioned phantom bathroom: in All Things, its position with a window does not make sense, so I’ve used its appearance in Orison, earlier in S7, as the canonical one.

I made a reference to the fic earlier today to a friend of mine that is a huge Tim Drake fan and I want to send it to them but I can't find the fic for the life of me.

he got cast out or smth idk. he can drink from coconuts and eat crabs which doesn't sound too bad but he's lost his waterbending (and everything else) which sucks

Breaking my heart over thinking how Anakin as a kid was such a bright, kind, and just caring child that wanted to help others, far too kind and nice despite being literally considered less than a person, and then he was groomed by the evilest man in the galaxy, became a monster, commited heinous crimes beyond comprehension, hurt and caused the death of the person he loved the most, then was constantly tortured for two decades by his groomer in ways that are literally impossible to accomplish on anything but a fantasy setting, and he still cared and loved his groomer, lost almost all of his own self and personhood. And then the only thing that made him break out of it was his son that he thought he killed.

Is so fucked up man, i'm crying here. I just...that poor kid, holy cow.

"humans are inherently evil" "humanity deserves to go extinct" okay. if that's the case why are we such a community based species. why have we seen evidence of careful amputations in ancient humans that allowed them to live longer, fuller lives. why do we have thousands of years of evidence of toys made for children by their guardians. why do we consistently find burial sites where the deceased has been buried with items of significance because the people in their life cared about them even after they were gone. why do strangers help strangers without any reward. why are most of the people you meet each day not cruel. we have ALWAYS been kind. I want to make an AU where Bill was never evil but his personality is still the same outside of that so the Pines twins show up to stay with their Great Uncle Stanford and he introduces them to his husband who's just. A funky little chaotic triangle creature from another dimension. He gives them deer teeth as welcome presents and both he and Ford (who is extremely accustomed to his weirdness after 30 years together) act like that's a Perfectly Normal Thing to Do. Dipper is LOSING it, Mabel is LOVING it (she makes a necklace and earrings out of them)

breaks my heart how often i see people posting yoi fanart/fanfic after a long time of not engaging w the fandom say that they "know the fandom is pretty much dead". like babes i get why you'd think that but we are very much still here alive and kickin!! sure there's less of us now but i see new fanfics being posted on AO3 almost every day. not even just oneshots either, there's super elaborate multichapter fics too! people are still writing meta and drawing amazing fanart and translating interviews and doing art collabs etc etc. there's even an active discord server (maybe even more than one but i don't know about the others). that's not what a dead fandom looks like. we're LOYAL
