The meeting at the Punch Club doesn't turn out well when Carl Creel, the Absorbing Man, wants to join his wife in the club. Ben Grimm is having none of it considering his bad history with Titania’s husband. Ben Grimm and Titania argue over which significant others could participate in the club. Then, things don’t get quite better once Jack of Hearts arrive to join in the Punch Club fun as well. Absorbing Man quickly attacks his fellow newbie but Jack defeats him in the fight. In the end, everyone leaves in an awkward manner.

Is there a particular reason they decided to include Heat wave (a Flash villain) and gender swap him for their fire themed villain in MAWS instead of just using Volcana? Y'know, the fire themed Superman villainess who already exists? There's got to be at least one baby gay who grew up watching Superman TAS and would actually punch the air in glee if somebody told them Livewire and Volcana were dating.

Going to come out and say it: I dont like the Flash's villain Heat Wave in My Adventures With Superman, they should have used Volcana instead

Make some slight changes to the design, call her Volcana, we're golden! (Not asking for much, but a bit of red on that costume would be great!)

My pitch is her claiming to be pyrokinetic and getting a headband gadget meant to amplify it (it's like Kara's heat vision amplifier) and just like Livewire it gets damaged such that she ends up with it becoming permanently bonded to her.

Volcana 

Claire Selton showed an aptitude for pyrokinesis in her early teens. She could manifest and control fire with her mind. Her parents sent her to Metropolis's Center for Paranormal Studies in the hopes that she could learn to better control this ability. Yet Claire was quickly spirited away by government agents working for a shadowy program known as 'Project Firestorm.' This program sought to utilize metahumans as living weapons. Given the code name ‘Volcana,’ Claire was trained and indoctrinated by this program yet she rebelled and escaped.

Now a fugitive, Claire turned to crime to get by.  Her activities quickly garnered the attention of Superman as well as her former handlers at Project Firestorm.  Superman’s involvement resulted in the project being shut down and the Man of Steal helped Claire relocate to a tropical island where she could safely learn to better handle her powers.  Unfortunately, she had gotten a taste for crime and ultimately took up a life of super villainy.  Following an altercation with Supergirl, Volcana was incarcerated in Ryker’s Island Penitentiary.  During a break out, Volcana teamed up with FireFly yet the two were defeated by Green Lantern.  

Some time thereafter, Volcana became a member of the Legion of Doom.  Lex Luthor was able to enhance Claire’s powers, enabling her to use her abilities to facilitate flight.  Volcana sided with Luthor when he took over the Legion of Doom.   She was saved by Sinestro and Star Sapphire after Darkseid destroyed the Legion of Doom’s headquarters.  Volcana then aided The Justice League in fending off Darkseid’s invasion of earth.  As thanks for her assistance, Volcana and other surviving members of the Legion were allowed a five minute head-start before the heroes pursued them.

Actress Peri Gilpin voiced Volcana with he fiery villainess first appearing in the first episode of the third season of Superman: The Animated Series, ‘Where There's Smoke.’
