this module made me slog through 120 pages of melodrama and nasty-ass villagers only to toss in a fantastic moody exploration segment with a straightforward plot and gay zombies? with the SICKEST fucking reward for fulfilling the quest?? and then have the gall to tell me it's completely optional!?!? WHAT THE FUCK CURSE OF STRAHD WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS

Ireena: "She looks like a sunshine"

Ismark: "He looks like he was run over by a bulldozer"

Strahd: Se says he's the hottest one. I'm already sorry for her character. "Can I get someone Strahd-like, but not Strahd?"

Arrigal: "He's got some pirate vibes"

Godfrey: "Someone's got their nose stolen"

Victor: "I want skeleton cats, I'm gonna steal them from him"

Vladimir: "He looks like he had some children for breakfast"

Gulthias: "It's like if someone's ass came to life"

The Abbot: Was compared to uhhhhh some creature from some piece of media i don't know and then to Omega Flowey from Undertale

Vargas: "He looks like an evil circus owner"

Doru "He's a CoS player realizing what he got himself into"

Rudolph: "He came straight out of steampunk"

Ok, I know this is terrible, but a small part of me finds it very funny that ALL of the canonically queer characters in Curse of Strahd are undead.

Like. You've got Strahd von Zarovich, bisexual disaster himself, as well as his twink of a consort, Escher-- both vampires-- you've got Vladimir and Godfrey, the two gay knights who are revenants, and who could forget our favorite aromantic ghost boy, Erasmus?

We tried to bury the gays, but they just keep coming back lmao

So the party went to Argynvostholt tonight which means we met my two gay dads. They're so sad and when I tell you I was SOBBING

Went off to talk with sane dad Godfrey for a bit and it was great, loved the bonding, but now angry dad Vlad is stomping around and yelling. The rest of the party is cooked. I cannot wait for the next session.
