the fact that people dont realize godfrey gwilym and vladimir horngaard are a couple is so funny to me. they shared a bedroom with a big double bed. they had art of their fursonas together. vladimir literally says "broke the life of the knight i loved" when talking about why he eternally seeks vengeance against strahd. these bitches gay. (thank you @hiscet for reminding me of this.)

The Valley of Barovia - (1041 DE) penned by Ser Ferran Eurus, Knight of the Order
Spoilers Beyond
The knights had the Dale King in a stalemate.
The only way through the valley was to the west, and the surrounding peaks and a stronghold near the center gave them a perfect line of defense.
However, after building his castle—high upon the pillar-stone, far from even the most prying eyes—any progress on Strahd’s end seemed to pause.
He rarely left his newfound home; only coming out to convene with the villages’ councils or discuss terms with Argynvost.
His soldiers also kept to themselves. Any attack from the Order was met with a small line of aimless undead that never really even bothered pushing them back.
And then, years of nothing.
Their fort in the mountains was left unchecked; The villagers practically forgot the armies were there; And there were even talks of a wedding, and soon.
The Order’s support had gone down to just the few hundred knights they’d had since the beginning. The surrounding kingdoms and even the elves of the High Forest seemed to think the threat was no longer their concern.
But Vladimir wouldn’t give up—Even after the Silver Dragon himself began to question Strahd’s motives.
After all, why bless a wedding between a councilwoman and your brother if you intended to beat this little country into the ground?
Why the silence?
Where was this supposed pursuit of the Dark Powers beneath the Amber Temple?
Vladimir dismissed these concerns as poor speculation. They needed to be ready for an attack! This false sense of security would only lead to a lapse in judgment—One they couldn’t afford.
If only he hadn’t been right…

wait, why is Argynvostholt so fucking cool!?
this module made me slog through 120 pages of melodrama and nasty-ass villagers only to toss in a fantastic moody exploration segment with a straightforward plot and gay zombies? with the SICKEST fucking reward for fulfilling the quest?? and then have the gall to tell me it's completely optional!?!? WHAT THE FUCK CURSE OF STRAHD WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS

Showed my bestie (one of my future CoS players) artworks of some NPCs. Her opinion:
Ireena: "She looks like a sunshine"
Ismark: "He looks like he was run over by a bulldozer"
Strahd: Se says he's the hottest one. I'm already sorry for her character. "Can I get someone Strahd-like, but not Strahd?"
Arrigal: "He's got some pirate vibes"
Godfrey: "Someone's got their nose stolen"
Victor: "I want skeleton cats, I'm gonna steal them from him"
Vladimir: "He looks like he had some children for breakfast"
Gulthias: "It's like if someone's ass came to life"
The Abbot: Was compared to uhhhhh some creature from some piece of media i don't know and then to Omega Flowey from Undertale
Vargas: "He looks like an evil circus owner"
Doru "He's a CoS player realizing what he got himself into"
Rudolph: "He came straight out of steampunk"

Dawn after the longest night
Characters come from dnd (Curse of Strand), but their 'lor' history, created by @argentumfool , captured me completely and supported me in dark days.

Ok, I know this is terrible, but a small part of me finds it very funny that ALL of the canonically queer characters in Curse of Strahd are undead.
Like. You've got Strahd von Zarovich, bisexual disaster himself, as well as his twink of a consort, Escher-- both vampires-- you've got Vladimir and Godfrey, the two gay knights who are revenants, and who could forget our favorite aromantic ghost boy, Erasmus?
We tried to bury the gays, but they just keep coming back lmao
