I’m currently working on research for an article, or whatever we call these things, on the mirror image of Victor Orban and his consolidation of power and stranglehold on Hungary, and the way in which Trump is following it to a T!! This is part of it!! A Christian Democracy. In case I get thrown in getmo, someone find my phone, there’s 23 in depth, 3/4 written, unproofread reports on it, that give 3/4 of the mostly comprehensive stories, not quite finished yet.
Joking aside. The amount of death and oppression religion has justified is staggering. This is a way to control the masses and dignify your corrupt actions. Blame it on god.
For a bunch of “patriots” these people sure love shredding the Constitution. We got the 14th amendment, the 1st amendment, pretty much all that is annulled, the speech part, the assembly part, the very first part, religion, the press, Trump doesn’t see their worth and so maga doesn’t either I guess?! Unless it’s them who feel disenfranchised.
The fascist playbook. Immigrant hate. LGBTQ hate. Make legislation against that. Install your own judiciary. He can check that one off. Have a shadow army who will commit terrorism on command. That one can be checked off too. Throw rallies and campaign basically regardless if there’s an election. Yup. Have a parliament that bends to your will. There’s definitely that. Major focus on religion and its connection to government, snagging the true fundamentalist.
Not good. Not good.

I reached out to the Historian of the House of Representatives about a question regarding some research I was doing and accidentally changed official Congressional history.
This was part of what they sent me in their initial response a day earlier:
Tumblr media
Congratulations, President Ford, you made the list!

Here's your daily reminder to click for Palestine!!!
U.S. residents, take 5 minutes and use this link to pressure your members of Congress to stop sending weapons to the Israeli military!!
(Letter variants you can copy/paste under the cut!!)
Original letter written by Jewish Voice for Peace:
I am writing as your constituent to ask that you do everything in your power to press the Biden administration to suspend all weapons shipments to the Israeli military, and oppose all future military funding to Israel. The Israeli government has vowed to push forward with a large-scale military operation in Rafah, even though President Biden has repeatedly said such an operation would be a "red line." On May 7, the Israeli military seized the Rafah border crossing, a crucial passage for humanitarian aid, and ordered 100,000 Palestinians in eastern Rafah to evacuate. The 1.3 million displaced Palestinians sheltering in Rafah will have nowhere to flee should a full invasion commence. Millions of Palestinian lives now hang in the balance. I urge you to do everything in your power to stop this unfolding catastrophe before it's too late. Thank you.
Slight variations I created (so that emails don't get marked as spam for being identical to each other)
Variation 1:
I'm writing to you as your constituent to ask you to do everything you can to pressure the Biden administration into suspending all weapons shipments to the Israeli military and opposing any and all future military funding to Israel! The Israeli government is pushing forward with a large-scale military operation in Rafah. President Biden has repeatedly said such an operation would be a "red line," yet his administration is still supporting this operation. On May 7th 2024, the Israeli military seized the Rafah border crossing, a crucial passage for humanitarian aid, and forced 100,000 Palestinians in eastern Rafah to abandon their homes. 1.3 million Palestinians have been displaced. Those sheltering in Rafah have nowhere to flee during a full invasion. Millions of Palestinian lives now hang in the balance. Their fate lies in the hands on Congress, in your hands. I urge you to do everything in your power to stop this unfolding catastrophe before it's too late. Thank you.
Variation 2:
I'm writing you today to ask that you do everything in your power to convince the Biden administration to stop funding Israel. We have to telk them to stop all shipments of weapons to the Israeli military and oppose all future military funding to Israel. The Israeli government has vowed to push forward with a large-scale military operation in Rafah... President Biden made it clear that such an operation would be a "red line," and yet he continues to fund them. On May 7th of this year, the Israeli military seized the Rafah border crossing, a crucial passage for humanitarian aid, and forced 100,000 Palestinians to flee their own home of Eastern Rafah. Should a full invasion commence, 1.3 million displaced Palestinians sheltering in Rafah will have nowhere safe to go. Millions of Palestinian lives now hang in the balance. I am begging you now, as your constituent, to do everything in your power to stop this unfolding catastrophe before it's too late... Thank you

A small boy asks his Dad, "Daddy, what is politics?"
Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me Capitalism.
Your mom, she's the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the Government.
We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the People.
The nanny, we'll consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we'll call him the Future.
Now, think about that and see if that makes sense." So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. The little boy goes to his parents' room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father having sex with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in Deep Shit."

Finding Strength in Exile: My Journey of Survival and Hope
I never thought I would have to leave the home I loved, the streets where I played as a child, or the family I thought would stand by me. But when the truth about my identity came to light, my world fell apart. The community I had grown up in turned against me, and even my own family rejected me because of my sexuality.
With my life in danger, I fled my home country, hoping to find safety and acceptance in Kenya. But instead of refuge, I found even more hardship.
Kenya was meant to be a fresh start, a place where I could rebuild. But it quickly became another battleground. I faced attacks and hostility from my fellow refugees, people who, like me, were seeking safety but instead turned their pain and anger on me.
Tumblr media
I had to leave again, forced to seek safety in another country. Although I escaped the violence, the struggles didn’t end. I am now faced with daily challenges to secure even the most basic necessities—food, clean water, and medication.
A Call for Kindness and Support
Through all of this, I have clung to hope. I believe in the strength of the queer community—a family bound not by blood but by shared experiences, courage, and resilience. I know we have the power to lift each other up in times of need.
I am asking for help from my queer brothers and sisters, allies, and anyone who believes in the dignity and worth of every human being. Your support can help me survive these difficult days. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story, every little act of kindness matters.
How You Can Help
If you’re able to contribute, please consider donating . Your support will go toward helping me access food, clean drinking water, and necessary medication. If you cannot donate, sharing this post with others who might be able to help is equally valuable.
My journey has been one of hardship, but it has also been one of resilience. I refuse to let the rejection I’ve faced define me. Instead, I hold on to the belief that kindness and compassion can change lives—even in the darkest times.
To anyone reading this who is also struggling: know that you are not alone. Together, we are stronger. Thank you for being a part of my journey.

Please call your representatives about it, this bill bans the abortion pill, more specifically the specific drug, which is also used when you have a miscarriage.
It also puts women in the designation of perpetual liabilities because you as a woman could be pregnant, and that embryo is consider a full person

BREAKING: Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill to abolish OSHA. The entire text of the bill reads "The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is repealed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is abolished."
What this bill would mean is the complete elimination of federal workplace safety protections. Millions of jobs in numerous states where the state-level protections are below the federal minimums would immediately become more dangerous.

Hmmmmm!….. Wonder why he would do that?! I feel like a damn broken record.
Who doesn’t want to be fact checked? Liars.
Who doesn’t want t corruption guard dogs such as inspectors general? People who are planning to be corrupt.
Who would want to get rid of a consumer protection agency? People who intend to rip consumers off.
Who terminates any or all people that investigated a crime you’re accused of? A person guilty of said crime.
Who eliminates a department tasked with finding and fighting election fraud? Someone guilty of doing it themselves.
This isn’t hard to comprehend. You don’t remove protections against fraud and terminate law enforcement not loyal to you unless you plan on committing massive fraud and acts of criminality. This is a coup!
The Republican Party has now just became the largest organized crime entity in the world. Our country will suffer greatly.
But hey!! At least the wealthy and corporations won’t have to pay taxes, adding trillions we, and our children will have to pay back! Way to go maga! You f*ckin owned those libs for sure! Traitors…

"The contempt of that large-minded gentleman is so wilting, his haughty disdain, his grandiloquent swell, his majestic, supereminent, turkey-gobbler strut has been so crushing to myself and all the members of the House...The resemblance is great. It is striking. Hyperion to a satyr, Thersites to Hercules, mud to marble, dunghill to diamond, a singed cat to a Bengal tiger, a whining puppy to a roaring lion."
-- James G. Blaine, eviscerating fellow Congressman Roscoe Conkling, during a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, April 30, 1866.
The feud between Blaine and Conkling -- who each had close connections with various post-Civil War Republican Presidents -- is one of the great political rivalries of American history. Blaine's eloquent (and vicious) attack of Conkling and mention of Conkling's "turkey-gobbler strut" would result in classic caricatures of Conkling in political cartoons that would annoy him for the rest of his life:
