Me: Oh yay Ramadan is coming! Shorter School days and, family celebrations!
Ex Muslim Me: No food or water for eighteen hours. Waking up at 4am every night! Tap dancing around the fact that I have a period! Being forced to go through the physical act of submitting to god in the evening and pretending to do so at dawn!!!
Me: You get to eat Asabe Zainab though :P

I don't think I will ever fully understand other Christians who force such a distorted, corrupted image of God down others' throats while threatening hellfire and pain should we vomit out the poison they scatter
if your God is a God who demands unquestioning obedience and calls you to build walls that separate and isolate you from empathy/love/solidarity with others who aren't like you, while the alternative being nothing but eternal punishment, that's not a Savior, that's an abuser and a tyrant
and abusers and tyrants are far from being worthy of worship.

Karkat Vantas from Homestuck would turn into a witch in Puella Magi Madoka Magica!
Cause of Witchification: Where to start, where to start... Not only was he constantly looking out for his own life due to the color of his blood being an unnatural shade of candy red, but, even after managing to barely lead his friends to victory, their efforts were thwarted by Bec Noir thanks to a cancer he had given to the new universe he and his teammates have created.
There's also the entirety of the entire series of events that happened on the meteor where he and his teammates were residing on; Gamzee, one of the few people he was able to at least tolerate and consider a friend, had completely lost it, his teammates were murdering one another in cold blood for the sake of their own desires...and all he was able to do at that time was watch.
Hah...what a failure of a leader he was...

There's another fear-mongering headline on Google!
I read several studies on the "intermittent fasting causes heart disease" headline, and let me clarify something that I learned from it:
The fasting itself is not entirely what causes the heart problems. The heart problems come from a lack of nutrients, and then a quick override of non-nutritious things.
So especially bringing this up for Ramadan: You can still fast safely. Just look at what you're eating when you break your fast. If you've been fasting for 12-16 hours- as tempting as it may be- don't gravitate first toward junk food. You don't have to avoid it entirely, but eat your meat, vegetables, fruit and such first.
TLDR: The headline is misleading. The act of fasting isn't what causes health problems, it's what you eat in the break between the fast. Prioritize foods that make you feel satisfied but are still healthy, and then enjoy a snack if you feel like you can

So i decided that Ramadan is great time to restrict since I can't break my fast even if i have strong cravings(yay).
But the thing it's the fourth day and I've only flouctuate between 69.8 and 68.7...its so confusing because I've gained weight recently and i just can't seem to lose it.
I'm normally 67kg.
Im so tired bro and on top of that i look bloated like I'm retaining water. Anyways I'm not gonna give up Ramadan is a holy month and i hope god gives me what i wanted all my life.🪷🌸💮🪷

♣️ Long time followers know well, but I have a lot of issues with food and what I feel safe eating
So, I've been trying to cook more! It's taken a backseat since my son was born, but im back on it now!
I made chicken alfredo for the first time and I actually really like it!

As Ramadan is coming closer and scholars reiterate the importance of kinship and keeping ties and forgiving people for the sake of Allah SAW, I think about people like me. Victims of abuse who have to hold their broken hearts firm and not let these things hurt us because we know that society cannot understand our experiences nor can they think of us because their relationships are normal. So while I have to hold back my tears because it hurts, so deeply inside, that I'm being abused by the people who were supposed to protect me, all attention is on me to be better, to not fight back or to fight back with grace. I cannot let myself loose control eventhough I'm a hair's length away from bursting and letting it all out. I can't.
Yet my abuser can do whatever they want. My abuser can look smug as scholars mention the rights of parents, my abuser can get all the praise they want from strangers for raising me when it is despite their abuse that I turned out the way I am, by the Mercy and Rahma of Allah SAW.
Society expects too much from victims of abuse yet abusers are never held accountable...
