Prompt Idea: Danny has plot armor.

To start off, Danny’s whole family knows he’s Phantom, and they had to run from Amity because of the GIW. They wind up in Gotham because that’s the one place that The Government doesn’t really mess with.

The reason behind Danny’s plot armor is that in this world, Danny became incredibly overprotective of his friends and family in order to make sure he doesn’t wind up as Dan, ironically making the chance of that happening much greater than before.

In order to prevent this, Clockwork gives Danny and his family a blessing. It works like this.

Imagine you rolled a dice. To Clockwork, there are now 6+ possible alternate timelines that can ensue. Clockwork’s blessing allows those possible timelines to be restricted to only one or two, all of them good for the Fenton family.

In effect, it was like plot armor. Scarecrow attacks a library with Jazz inside? Oh, looks like her parents need her to pick up Danny early, or she drank too much water and needs to go to the bathroom, which just so happens to have a window just in reach that she can escape from.

Maddy needs to get a job? Well, Jazz’s university needs a new chemistry professor (last one was kidnapped by a rogue) and they’re in a bit of a rush so they’ll skip looking for a teaching certificate. No one cares anyways, it’s Gotham.

Jack needs something to do? Well, besides hunting ghosts, he’d always wanted to open a food truck! With Jazzy making sure nothings contaminated and some (slightly modified) recipes from the Ghost Zone, he can finally chase his dream in a big city with his Phantom Food Vehicle! He wonders what some of those shady men came up to him for, or that odd stout fella in the tux.

(The Phantom Food Truck has become a recent cryptid in Gotham. Except it’s not a cryptid, because everyone’s seen the video of the truck hurtling down the street like it’s chasing down the devil, cop cars and vigilantes alike on its tail. And yet, no one could find it. Not even the Bats. That’s about when everyone gave up. When they learned that you don’t find it, the Phantom Food Truck finds you.)

As for Danny? He’s entirely unaware of this, to focused on keeping his head down. It works, for a while. Before fate came knocking in the form of a wicked smile, as if there solely to ruin his day.

The Joker wasn’t having a good day either. He started out having a jolly old time, joker toxin gassing a small high school, making sure to leave macabre presents for his dear Batsy, and then what happens? This random kid just starts running around, helping students, saving teachers, what’s he gonna do next huh? Save a cat from a tree?

What’s worse, his useless henchmen couldn’t even land a hit on the kid! He swears, Bill doesn’t even seem to be trying.

Whatever, they managed to corner the brat, looked like he was standing in front of some other children. So Joker lines the shot, and he fires.

Alrighty, he takes one from a random mook, and he shoots again.

No one’s moving at this point. Where there was once dread and tension in the air, there’s just confusion. So Joker points the gun at a goon, pulls the trigger, the shot goes off.

He turns back to the Robin-ish looking twink, and he pulls the trigger.

And as he starts walking towards the kid to just kill it himself, he wakes up in the Arkham hospital wing with his last memory of the encounter being him slipping on the glowing green contents of some weird looking thermos that the kid had thrown earlier in the fight. What the FUCK was that.

In a previous Q&A you claim that Nana was never entirely convinced that ditching Kotaro was the right thing to do. You sure about that? I've assumed that Nana had zero doubts with her decision until she learned that AFO kidnapped and groomed Tenko.

She was still abandoning her child.

All For One tracked down and killed her husband, so she knew Kotaro was next if she didn't completely detach his existence from hers. Abandoning Kotaro was objectively a safer option but she still saw him crying and screaming when they said goodbye. She knew, in that very moment, that this was the worst thing that had ever happened to her child and she was responsible, even if it was to prevent a worse fate at the time.

And honestly? I don't think Nana was ever completely assured this would even work. All For One is a cunning bastard that finds a way to ruin everything that people hold dear. She'd never dare voice it, but there's no way the idea that this only bought Kotaro a small amount of time didn't haunt Nana until she died. That she put him through all of that emotional pain thinking his own mother didn't want him for nothing.

Kotaro lasted longer than she probably would have expected but he still ended up in that thrawl for the sin of simply being someone All For One's enemy loved dearly.

About Lights supposed care for Sayu

That may have been true for pre-timeskip Light, but post timeskip, there's not much evidence that Light feels any kind of affection for his family. To prevent his plans from being ruined, he attempts to kill her after she is abducted, but doesn't only because it wouldn't make sense for Kira to do that. He also shows no reaction at all to her near catatonic state following the abduction, meaning that Light likely sees Sayu as nothing more that another person he could potentially use to further his own goals, much like all the people he interacts with

I think I have already compared how the anime adapted this scene vs how it was portrayed in the manga. And I suppose that you're going by the former since the hints (however subtle) are present in the manga that Light cares for his family (which includes his sister of course).

Okay moving on to your ask.

About Lights supposed care for Sayu That may have been true for pre-timeskip Light, but post timeskip, there's not much evidence that Light feels any kind of affection for his family.

That may be true if we're going by the anime. But since I prefer the manga (I had read it before watching the anime) and analyze canon through it most of the time, I'll have to disagree with you on that one since the manga does have evidence that Light loves his family.

It's subtler than before the time-skip but it's there. I'll happily point out why I think so.

Light appears to have grown distant from Sachiko & Sayu and that's because of the whole 'Soichiro chose to disown Light (as he disapproved of Misa) & Light ran away to live with Misa' lie they had told them. Yet their (+ Soichiro's) opinions on Kira matter to him:

You do not try to convince people of something as important as your secret ideology if you don't at least care about those people (read: Light cares about his family).

Despite being a lil distant, Light & Sayu haven't lost their playful teasing/bantering kinda relationship as Light compliments Sayu on jokingly rejecting Matsuda and Sayu teases Light about marriage.

I'll discuss Sayu's kidnapping in the next section of my answer (see also: my linked post at the beginning). To sum it up: Light puts himself to a disadvantage (as Kira) to save Sayu.

I believe these words are very genuine. Light has, from idolizing his father, grown to disapproving his self-sacrificial (his putting justice above family) nature. He reminds his dad how hard it'd be for the family if he leaves them behind and makes him promise that he'd do his best to have both of him & Sayu live. Observe closely how not letting the Note to Mello isn't the priority but rescuing Sayu is the first thing on Light's mind.

He also asks Soichiro if he & Sayu are okay as soon as he gets the opportunity. Not a word about lamenting the loss of Death Note but a simple are you okay?

After a few days, Mello contacts Soichiro again (the latter's phone is to be kept on in exchange for the former not killing him). And asks him about the new L's identity and threatens to kill Sayu if Soichiro doesn't answer.

Observe Light's face here. It's very clear that he's having a great difficulty in making a decision: either tell Mello L's identity & risk getting killed yourself or refuse Mello's demands resulting in his dad & sister's death.

He seems to be actually considering surrendering his name to Mello to save Sayu & Soichiro! (But it doesn't come to that as Matsuda offers his name instead)

My argument is this: if Light didn't have any affection for his family in the second arc (as you say), then why did he hesitate to plainly refuse to answer Mello's question (a question which is too risky for the new L's life)?

The answer's plain & simple: He wouldn't seriously consider to give Mello his name if he didn't care for his family. Thus, he does hold affection towards his family. Period.

I can go on & about how Soichiro's death devastates Light but a picture is worth a thousand words:

I do believe that his tears are very genuine here; Light's crying does Not have crocodile tears behind it- in other words I think Light is VERY upset by his dad's death so much so that he loses his cool that Matsuda has to physically restrain him:

After Soichiro's death, he tries to emotionally distance himself from that tragic event (referring to said event by the impersonal 'them attacking Mello's hideout' rather than smth vulnerable to Light i.e. 'his dad's death'):

He's trying his best to avoid explicitly thinking about his dad's death, choosing to drown himself into his work instead: so much so that Matsuda is concerned about him:

And he acknowledges the risk of his identity as 'Light Yagami' is L being revealed to Near just because of him staying quiet after his dad died like he is THAT affected by it and trying to hide that fact.

I hope you can see that Light cares about his father. Let's get back to the topic of his regard towards his sister.

To prevent his plans from being ruined, he attempts to kill her after she is abducted, but doesn't only because it wouldn't make sense for Kira to do that.

I have discussed at length why that is not the case in the manga but here's the gist of it. I tried to keep it short. I really did.

The NPA director Takimura is kidnapped first -> Other NPA heads are duly notified -> Light kills Takimura without a moment of hesitation, assuming that the kidnappers will take the fall for his death (it's part of Light's keikaku plan so that Kira won't be blamed for his murder. And since only the kidnappers and the NPA know about the kidnapping: it won't be assumed that Kira has any link to the NPA) -> the kidnappers do take the blame themselves (just as planned!...)

(...not. as: ) Sayu is kidnapped -> Mello instructs them to not notify the other NPA departments lest they kill Sayu -> Ide pressures Soichiro to notify other NPA personnel out of obligation, Soichiro agrees to throw his daughter under the bus. and. then-

Light does a complete 180 and says outright to the task force that it was probably Kira who killed Takimura (instead of y'know killing Sayu immediately to stop the exchange like he did with Takimura) -> essentially arguing against notifying other NPA members (to save his sister actually)

This sudden change in Light's plan (from having the kidnappers blamed for Takimura's death to Kira being blamed instead) is actively detrimental to Kira's cause since only the kidnappers and the NPA personnel know about Takimura's kidnapped and suggesting that Kira is behind Takimura's murder implies that Kira has ties to NPA (remember that Light is now a part of that NPA) so not a win for our Light-o.

Also, if he was really serious about killing Sayu- he had two easy, very easy options:

1. Do nothing.

That's it. Remember Soichiro was ready to notify the other NPA personnel (Ide pressures him to do that). Thus, if the NPA (apart from the task force) made any move, the kidnappers as per their threat would've killed Sayu themselves.

If Light didn't jump in to rescue his sister (coz that's what he did in canon) by offering an alternate possibility of Kira being behind Takimura's death, Sayu would've ended up dead.

2. Kill Sayu himself at the best opportunity (which was when he had just heard the news about her kidnapping; not unlike how he wasted no time to kill Takimura).

But Light far from considering these options (*holds a neon sign reading 'LIGHT DOES NOT WANT TO KILL HIS SISTER AS HE CARES FOR HER'*), goes "hey, is anyone gonna save my sister?" and does not wait for an answer which he's already gotten what-with even his father agreeing to notify the NPA personnel which would've resulted in her death.

So no I don't agree with you when you say "To prevent his plans from being ruined, he attempts to kill her after she is abducted, but doesn't only because it wouldn't make sense for Kira to do that." since the reason it wouldn't make sense for Kira to kill Sayu was because of Light himself blaming Kira for Takimura's death (he did that to save her otherwise the police would've moved and the kidnappers would've killed her anyway).

The result of Light's actions? Now if he were to kill Sayu after revealing the real murderer behind Takimura's death, the list of Kira suspects would narrow down to...the task force as they are the only ones who know about the kidnapping other than Mello & his gang. Light is canonically a genius so why would he do something like this to jeopardize his own previous plans? The answer is simple as Ryuk points it out.

Light has a soft spot for his sister. I have elaborated on this in my above linked post so this is a bit redundant to say the least. (not that I mind your ask! I love discussing the tragedy of the Yagami siblings to anyone who'd care to listen.)

He also shows no reaction at all to her near catatonic state following the abduction, meaning that Light likely sees Sayu as nothing more that another person he could potentially use to further his own goals, much like all the people he interacts with

With Light you cannot take his reactions (or lack thereof) at their face value. He's more complex than that.

The following scene (in which we see Sayu visibly showing her disdain for Kira since he's the reason why their dad is so busy that he couldn't come for New Year's.

And Light's eyes are hidden as they usually are when he's feeling emotionally conflicted. He can't stop being Kira however that doesn't mean he likes causing his family misery indirectly.):

His dad is dead because of him being Kira. I'm not saying Light is the direct cause of his death. Far from it, as Light had intended Matsuda to have the eye deal and die for it, but instead his dad had volunteered which wasn't according to his keikaku. Still Light being Kira is of course an indirect cause to Soichiro's death and the idea isn't lost on Light.

He likely feels very guilty for the same and cannot bring himself to face his remaining family. Sayu's current state (her in a wheelchair after the kidnapping) was indirectly caused by him being Kira as well. It isn't hard to imagine that Light has difficult feelings about that too. I'd argue that his lack of a reaction IS the telling factor of how much he cares actually.

He cares to the point of not daring to meet the rest of his family's eyes after the two incidents (Sayu's kidnapping & Soichiro's death). He cares because he is the cause of the Yagami family being the most tragic. He cares because no matter what he told Ryuk, that he'd be the exception to the rule of Death Note users being faced with misfortune, he now knows that he isn't that exception with his own family in shambles.

Death Note is a tragedy because of how much Light Yagami cares.

Midnight teacher headcannons!

Note: I get a LOT of people saying they don't see her as this or that so imma just... put what I feel like would be her.

♡She is careful on how she moves about in the classroom, squatting instead of bending over like most teachers. She is well aware of her class, and doesn't want to make them uncomfortable. I think it's forgotten that she's a hero and not some BDSM mommy to all because of how she behaves.

♡while she is for being 'sexy' n all that, if she sees something out of check with the students, she'll discreetly ask the student if they know something is wrong with their uniform. i.e., holes, rips, tears, certain stains. She knows that not all students intend on it, and she's glad that she does because she's seen how embarrassed some of her students get over it. Not to mention, she's making sure the student is okay.

♡Midnight can spot signs of SA from a mile away. If one of her students is being harassed and/or used in some way, she knows and she will find out who did it. She'll abuse her pro-hero license to kidnap the predator and fuck them up before sending them to jail. Even if she couldn't get the student to admit, she can plant false evidence. If it's another student, Midight will handcuff them and contact parents (if any) and address the situation to protocol.

♡On Valentine's day/white day, she'll make sure EVERYONE gets something, even the little gremlin Mineta-- nobody deserves to be left out. It's nothing special, but it's enough to brighten someone's day.

♡she's pretty relaxed, but when the class needs to be serious for a moment, don't think she won't raise her voice and whip her desk. The leather hitting the wood always makes them jump and bring their attention to them.

♡If she notices romantic chemistry in the room, she'll do partner projects as a 'matchmaker' thing. If there are asexuals in the room, she'll do who she thinks they would be friends with. She is careful how she analyzes her students to prevent from misreading them.

♡She promotes safe sex. While hero students shouldn't have time for that, she would rather them be safe than unaware and ruin their lives. Aizawa dreaded the day when Midnight gave his students 'the talk', but he didn't protest–she had a point. Teenagers are hormonal and can be wreckless.

♡Oh, you're crying? Midnight will stop what she's doing to sooth you. If you're hyperventilating, she'll poke the smallest hole in her costume and let you take one breath in to calm you down, though careful not to put you to sleep. She'll use her thumbs to wipe your tears away and run her fingers through your hair as a mother would. She'll ask if you wanna talk about it, but won't push and just comfort you.

♡SHE WILL MAKE SURE HER STUDENTS SELF-LOVE. Being subconscious about yourself is REAL, and she knows a lot of people struggle with it so sometimes they take a break from the curriculum to write things they like about themselves, physically, mentally, and emotionally. She teaches them not to be afraid of who they are. What they are. That they deserved to be loved too. She struggles with Shoto the most about self-love, Koda with not being so shy, and Jiro with her body.

Excuse me, didn't she DIE in the 1940s to prevent the world from ending, came back, only to have to save the world AGAIN??? Not to mention that fact that she was bullied and harassed all her life before and after her death. Before her death she was always treated like the devil bc of her curse, even by her own mother. Her mom even neglected Hazel which is something NO ONE SEEMS TO TALK ABOUT. Then she has an unknown brother save her from the underworld and have to completely rebuild her life from scratch. At new rome she still wasn't treated right and was left out and made out to be a weird girl just like her old life. Tbh if that was me I wouldn't be shaking crying every time I saw someone. Also she learned how to control the mist which is pretty fricking cool okay I love her 

Frank

Let's just point out the obvious first. The reason Frank is not one of the most loved characters is because he is/was chubby. I'll say it, that is the reason. If he was skinny/fit more people would love him. That's probably why Rick did the transformation thingy thing where Frank got all buff. Which sucks because Frank is incredible and having one of the only character that's not skinny or muscly or as conventionally attractive have to change to those things just to be slightly more popular is STUPID!!!! I'm not hating on Rick I'm honestly hating on the fans who didn't love Frank because of the fact that he was chubby, whether they knew that was the reason they didn't like him as much as the other seven or not. His story is incredible. His mom going to war and her dying made my heart break while reading. his entire life force being attached to a piece of wood, so easy to be burned to nothingness, is SO GOOD. His awkwardness is so refreshing to see when characters are often portrayed as nonchalant and cool when in reality we're all losers 😭 

Really, there's no real reasons to hate any of the seven. You can have favorites, I have my favorites of course, but putting the other seven down doesn't do anything. You're just an asshole.

SPOILERS ALERT! (Obviously!)

I haven't actually finished. Just one more chapter left. But its fine. I'm done with the major plot anyways. Let's start!

How do I feel about Elbert's route?

All in all, it was kinda....meh. I wasn't entirely bad nor it was good. It's just...I'm so dissatisfied.

How was the story?

It was half boring and half good. I chose the Madness route and let me just say, for how dark Elbert's story is, the ending is just so disappointing. Now this is just the Madness route, maybe in the Blind route is much better (I hope it is).

El's story mainly contains two stories - 1. Main story that reveals El's past and his curse and 2. Bernard&Co. I'll be honest... I don't care about Bernard and his company! Nor do I care about Gabriel and his kinky stuff nor Daisy and her blue poppies. It really has nothing to do with El's past. It's just boring side story that just keeps getting in the way of the main storyline and it cannot be avoided. I honestly didn't pay any attention to Bernard&Co story because I was bored and I'm more interested in getting to know El.

On the other hand, I was quite interested in El's past. Yes! It's one of the most tragic ones I've heard. I love how dark it is and the writers did a good job in making me actually hate EVERYONE related to El. I also loved how they showed the scene where Al tells Kate about El's past in a library where they first met and at the same time, El was having a dream where he sees his whole childhood. It's a nice transition. They keep switching between Kate's pov to El's pov from time to time. Good job! I liked that.

The writers did keep me interested in the story because to be honest, I was really looking forward on how El finally comes out from his tragic past and faces his true nemesis. But they went and ruined it in the end so much so that it WASN'T WORTH SPENDING 1500 DIAMONDS and 25 story tickets!!! Yes! I did use my diamonds, which I've been saving for Jude, on story tickets.....because I was so hooked! I couldn't wait 10 days and I couldn't sleep until I found out what's going to be Jeffery's ending.

What happens to Jeffery?

By this time, you must know that, Jeffery is the true main villain in El's route. Not Gabriel Bernard. If you don't know, Jeffery was the chief butler of the Greetia house. He and the other servants SA-ed El everyday since he was 9-year-old. Not only this, let me list out all the crimes he has committed:

SA-ed a minor everyday.

Brainwashed and manipulated that same child.

Bribed a guy to kidnapped Kate and also told him to sell her, because you know, she was preventing him from SA-ing El.

Tried to kill Kate.

And also being completely delusional in thinking that the reason why El was trying to kill him because Kate brainwashed him and not because...all of the above.

Yeah. So you'd think, a monster like that would get painful death, right? But no. El just shows up, says hi and stabs him with his sword. That's it.

I was really disappointed, because I thought, El was going to make him suffer for what he has done and killing him as painfully as possible, because he deserves it. For some reason, the writers just made it anticlimactic. If I compare this ending with William and Harrison, their ending is much more exciting. Especially William's...I'll translate that as soon as my exam is over...so please be patient, it's on Sep 8th. Okay?

But yeah, that's it. I don't how El kills him in the other ending. Someone told me that El poisons him. Poison apple I guess. I'll see that when I play the other ending, but not anytime soon.

What is El's tragic ending?

El's tragic ending according to Victor is to die while being unsatisfied. We see El trying to collect the most beautiful thing in the world, but El's tragic end is, he will die without getting that most beautiful thing.

What about Al?

I still don't understand why Al kissed Kate. It still confuses me and Yes! Kate does tell El that Al kissed her and El was like--

Kate: "Well....Mr. Alphonse.....kissed me on the lip--"

El kisses her before she could finish her sentence.

El: "Tell me Kate, who is your daddy?"

Kate: *blushes* "It's Lord Elbert...."

El: *smiling* "Good."

El: "If it's Al, I don't mind..."

Kate: "You're....n-not going to kill him, right?"

El: "If it was someone else, I would have.......I'd rather you not, but if you want to kiss someone else besides me, it should be only Al."

Kate: *jealous* "I don't want to kiss someone else. I only want to kiss you..."

Yeah, that's El's reaction. He was surprisingly calm about it. Al on the other hand is starting to grow on me. He's like the Mitsuhide of this game, so mysterious that you can't tell if he's on good side or bad side. El seems to trust Al very much. Yes, he is jealous about Kate spending time with another man, but he also trusts Al and knows that no matter what, Al will keep her safe. Al on the other hand dislikes the fact that both Kate and El trusts him so much. I don't know if Al even likes El as friend. Sometimes he acts like friend and sometimes he doesn't. It's so confusing, so I'm really looking forward for his route.

Kate and El

Honestly, these two are made for each other. Both are jealous possessive types that keeps asking each other if they were thinking about each other while they were apart. There are only some cute moments here and there, like El staring at Kate so he could get into her heart and also making sure that she only looks at him and only thinks about him and also grabs her face and makes it turn to look at him and also asking to look only at him lol. It's a funny scene I liked it. But most of his route is full of sadness and sadness and .....lots of sadness. You get my point.

Final thoughts

This post is really short but there is not much to talk about because I already spoiled you guys about El's past which is the major part of the story.

I wish the story was bit more exciting, at least the writers could have improved the ending of Jeffery after making me hate him so much. All in all it was a pretty meh experience. I still think Harry's route is the best one so far.

In your opinion, do some of the more dubious moments in ASOIAF (Rhaegar and Lyanna, Dany and Drogo, Dany and Jorah, Tyrion and Tysha, Cersei and Taena, Theon and Jeyne, Lysa and Petyr) count as rape/assault/grooming?

Let's go through this answer case by case.

Rhaegar and Lyanna

Ah, probably the most controversial "Did she consent to it or not?" in the whole story - and for good reason since we only ever hear about it from other people. However, even taking that into account, there are enough hints in the books to shed some light into that mistery - and honestly, I think it points to BOTH "Lyanna ran off with Rhaegar willingly" and "Rhaegar was asshole who took advantage and ruined her life" being true.

Lyanna didn't want to marry Robert. She objected to it repeatedly, and we hear all the time about how she has the "wolf's blood" - and Ned, the person who was likely the least in the dark about all of this, said that this "wolf's blood" led both his brother and his sister to an early grave, implying that she did go with Rhaegar willingly.

Rhaegar was also seen as handsome, charming, clever, and just basically every woman's dream husband. It is not impossible that Lyanna took a liking to him. Rhaegar would also not be the first Targaryen prince/king to elope with the woman he loved, and Aegon the conqueror became king of Westeros with his TWO wives. He could have easily used those tales about his family to assure Lyanna that things would be fine, that her running away with him wasn't that crazy of an idea and that there wouldn't be tragic consequences.

We also have Jon Snow, who we are 99% sure is her son in the books like he was in the show, constantly discussing "bride stealing/kidnaping" with Ygritte, which is treated not as real kidnaping but essentially as courting, with the woman choosing to elope with him or not. We we even hear the story of Beal the Bard, the king-beyond-the-wall who pretended to be a singer, was allowed to take a flower from Lord Stark's garden - and in the morning, Lord Stark's daughter is gone, but there is a blue winter rose in her place, a flower that is CONSTANTLY associated with Lyanna in the books. Once again, the story is told as love story.

But, while all of that gives us a pretty romantic, happy start to their story, we cannot forget how it ended: Lyanna all alone in a tower, dying while giving birth, seemingly completely in the dark about the fact that Rhaegar's family has been killing hers as no one bothered to explain to the Starks that no, she wasn't kidnapped, she went with him willingly.

And Rhaegar did not elope with her just out of love. He was trying to fullfil a prophecy. He needed a woman to give him another son - the right son - and clearly priotized making sure that child would not be taken by the Starks or anyone else over, ya know, not raging war against Lyanna's family.

The power imbalance between them is also quite great. Rhaegar is an adult, Lyanna is not. Rhaegar is a married man taking a mistress, Lyanna is dishonoring herself by sleeping with him. Rhaegar is the future king, free to go wherever he wants, Lyanna is a noble girl that is far away from her family and locked up in a tower. The further they get from Winterfell, the more Lyanna has to rely solely on Rhaegar - and look where it got her.

So yeah, in all likelyhood it started out as a love story, but ended with Lyanna losing all agency, her family, and even her life - things Rhaegar could have at least tried to prevent, yet we get no indication that he did.

Dany and Drogo

Just their first time is already one hell of a controversial topic. Daenerys is 13, she's terrified, she just wants to go home and be a kid. She is also being courted by Drogo and they do share some nice moments during their wedding. Then it's time for the wedding night, and Daenerys is once again cowering in fear and in fact tries to cover her body up, but Drogo won't let her. However he also tries to be reassuring, gentle AND asks her permission to go all the way, and she accepts. Dany goes to non-consenting to as consenting as someone in her position can be, and then back, A LOT. It's mixed-bag.

But let's not forget what Drogo does when Dany is clearly NOT consenting, and is in fact hurt, crying, terrified, and freaking suicidal. He takes what he wants anyway. She's his wife, so he is usually kinder to her than he would ever even consider being to any of the random women he raped, but he does still view her as property. If she's being all sweet and willing, great! If she's not, then she's gonna have to endure because the decision of when they do and do not have sex is his to make. In his mind, he probably thinks "I was nice to her the first time and she agreeded to it - that means she's ALWAYS up for it" because if the idea of marital rape is already something the people in that universe can't grasp, the idea that a wife consenting to sex with her husband once doesn't mean she has consented for EVERYTIME might as well be just a bunch of nonsensical words to them.

Now, Dany does take some more control later on. She becomes as equal to Drogo in the relationship as she could possibly ever be (again, considering her age and Drogo's mentality), and the two of them end up genuinely falling in love, and sex with him becomes something Dany quite likes instead of just more suffering. But retroactive consent doesn't exist.

Lets say that Dany was an adult who married Drogo willingly, they got along right away, and for months all the sex between them was consensual. Then one night she turns him down and he doesn't take no for an answer. The one non-consensual time doesn't magically make all the previous times they had sex sudddenly become rape, nor does the fact that it all started out consensual change the fact that he did rape her that one night.

Drogo raped Daenerys. The feelings they would develop for each other later on and all the times she did consent don't change that fact.

Dany and Jorah

A way more mild exemple compared to the previous one, but still worth discussing.

In the third book, Jorah kisses Dany, and that kiss is the thing that sort of re-awakens her sexuality, which had been dormant since her husband died AND since she was in a lot of pain due to the truly agonizing birth of her child, that had already been dead, but also wasn't, but kind of was. Anyways, Dany kind of liked the kiss - even though it's very clear she wishes it had not been with Jorah, but rather with someone younger (her lovers are all men, as in fully grown adults, but they're not thrice her age like him).

However, let's look a the actual scene.

Dany is changing her clothes in a hurry, not thinking much about the fact that Jorah is there (she did walk around with one breast out nearly all the time after all, and he did not do anything other than look). This time though, he surprises her and pulls her for a kiss, and while Dany doesn't really struggle, she does think to herself "I'm his queen, not his woman."

She tells him he shouldn't have done it, he replies that he shouldn't have waited that long. He keeps on staring at her naked chest, and she covers up. She says it wasn't right and that she is his queen - a very clear "Don't do anything I didn't give you permission to do" - he calls her the most brave and beautiful woman he has ever seen and calls her by her name, leading to her very sternly reminding him to call her "Your grace." Jorah agrees... and then goes on to talk about how no man would ever be as faithful to her as him, and it's very clear he isn't saying that just because he is her loyal knight, but rather to once again declare his romantic attraction to her.

Daenerys is being VERY clear and rejecting him. But every word she says goes in one ear and out the other because Jorah doesn't want to listen to what she has to say. He did not kiss her again (as full on forcing himself on her out be VERY out of character for him), but his complete disregard for her repeated verbal objections to his attempt of making her think of him as a potential lover are not great.

And it makes perfect sence considering WHY he is so "in love." While he genuinely connects with Dany, the attraction comes from the fact that she looks just like his second wife, the one who loved and who abandoned him to be part of a rich man's harem.

Whenever Jorah acts on his feelings for "Dany", Daenerys is, ironically, the last thing on his mind. He is thinking of his desires, his pain, his feelings. The girl in front of him be damned - she's just an object of lust/affection, despite her clear discomfort.

Tyrion and Tysha

This one is rather easy. It 100% is rape - however, Tysha AND Tyrion are being victimized, because the real abuser, the one holding all the power, is Tywin.

The whole "give her to the guards" thing was HIS idea, and Tyrion, who was just 13-years-old, says he was FORCED to watch, and then to rape her as well, and it's clear the event messed with his head. WE feel sorry for Tysha and think of how horrible that must have been for her, but Tywin's intention was to hurt TYRION, and she was just a way to do it, not a person.

Tysha went through hell on that moment, but so did Tyrion - and that was by design.

Cersei and Taena

The argument for this one is even simpler: Cersei's intention was to assault Taena, therefore this one should be treated, at the very least, as attempted rape, if not full on rape.

She had been thinking of all the times Robert raped her before she decided to assault Taena, deliberately hurt her and blamed it on the wine before saying she'd have what she'd want anyways because she's the queen - almost word for word what Robert used to say to her. And during the act, Cersei is fantasizing about torturing Taena to death.

"Oh, but she was aroused, seemed to enjoy it, and even offered to fuck Cersei too!"

1 - Cersei explicitly mentioned said to her "I'm the queen, you don't get to say no to me." The message was very clear that even if Taena didn't want it, she'd have no choice but to play along.

2 - Taena ALWAYS knows what to say to make Cersei happy anyways. She made up the whole bullshit story of "Loras is totally in love with his sister and joined the king's guard to be near her" because she knew it was Cersei's love story with Jaime and thus she'd be super biased to believe it. OF COURSE she'd play along to anything Cersei did.

3 - Arousal and orgasm are involuntary. It's just the body reacting to what is being done to it. It is NOT the same as consent.

4 - Even if we assume Taena was attracted to Cersei, wanted to have sex with her, and truly enjoyed herself that night, once again, Cersei's INTENTION was rape. Imagine that Cersei serves her food that was supposed to be poisoned, but for whatever reason it ended up not killing her, and intead Taena only had a lovely dinner - it's still attempted murder, even if Taena never realized it.

Cersei wanted to make Taena her victim. End of story.

Theon and Jeyne

Once again, this one is very simple. When Theon "warms up" Ramsay's wife for him, he is doing it under the direct of threat of "If you don't do as I say, I'll torture you until you beg for death, then torture you some more." It's like when Jeyne says she'll do anything Ramsay wants her to, with anyone he desires, including the dogs, and adds a "He doesn't have to cut my foot" at the end.

Both of them are Ramsay's victims. Theon was terrified as Jeyne. It absolutely was rape, but the rapist was Ramsay.

Lysa and Petyr

When Lysa went to Petyr's bed to sleep with him, he had been so drunk, that he mistook her for Catelyn. The second time they sleep together, hehad just gotten beaten so badly by Brandon (Cat's would-be-husband) that Catelyn had to BEG for his life. Naturally, with someone in that poor condition, he was given plenty of things to help with the pain - and as the books have stablished all the time, these lead to very weird dreams and leave the person way out of it.

This throws any consent Petyr could have given in both nights out the window, because even if Lysa asked his permission before doing anything, he was barely even understanding what was going on around him. If consent was impossible, it was rape by default.

Now, we know that Petyr will not only brag about these two night, but also go on to sleep with Lysa many more times and even become her husband eventually. But let's not forget the context here.

1 - Like I explained in the Daenerys and Drogo bit, retroactive consent doesn't exist. It doesn't matter how many times he had consensual sex with Lysa, it does not magically erase the fact that that first two times were rape.

2 - The idea of a man being raped by a woman is just not something the society of Westeros thinks is possible, so naturally Petyr would NEVER understand that what Lysa did to him was assault. At most he'd be bitter that "slept with the wrong sister"

3 - Petyr is very clearly lying to himself about A LOT of things. He convinced himself Catelyn loved him, that he slept with both Tully sisters, that Sansa is BOTH the daughter he and Catelyn never had AND Catelyn 2.0.. Him being in denial about potentially feeling abused, or at the very least angry that he was "tricked", because the story of "Everyone tried to humiliate me but I just ended up fucking my crush AND her sister" makes him feel better about a event that was deeply traumatic to him in a ton of different ways.

Chapter 7

"Everyone keep in mind that today after school, we shall hold a suicide prevention assembly in honor of Nicholas Roth. Let him know that he will be missed."

It had been four weeks since Nicky was pronounced dead.

The gang was looking at the new article on the bulletin board, about Nicky's suicide.

They still refused to believe it.

Nicky did it...

Nothing they did to try and help him heal worked, and he ended up doing the worst thing possible.

All just to be with Aaron again.

Trinity felt tears running down her cheek, ruining her mascara. "We could have done more to help him.", she said. "But he's gone now."

Maritza looked at her shoes, then she backed up against the wall and slid down to the floor. "Now I know how he felt after Aaron died. Grief can mess you up."

Enzo walked over to his friends, he sat down next to his sister, not looking anywhere but the ground. "Hey.", he said.

"Hey.", said Maritza, "I heard you got sent to the principal. What for? Did you beat up Seth?"

"No.", replied Enzo, "I beat him and Ruben. They said they were glad Nicky died, they were happier than when they found out that Aaron died."

Maritza angrily stood up and punched the wall, "I HATE THIS!", she screamed. "Nicky was a good person! He was sad, but everyone else just kept telling him to get over it!", then she started crying. "It's not fair!"

Enzo wrapped his arms around his sister, "I know, sis. I know."

Then the whole gang wrapped their arms around each other.

After school, the gang walked home together, not saying a word. Not like anyone wanted to talk anyway.

Enzo was still dreading going home after being sent to the principal's office, he didn't want to face his dad after that.

Everyone was so lost in thought, they ended up bumping into Officer Keith.

"Oh, sorry, kids.", said the police officer, "I was just trying to get to my car.". Then he noticed all of the kids' depressed faces. "Oh...are you all okay?"

"Gee, I don't know! How do you think?! If one of your closest friends killed himself, would you be okay?!", Maritza snapped. "No, dick! None of us are okay!"

Officer Keith put his hands up in surrender, "Sorry I asked.", he then bent down to their level. "I know it's hard. I know it was hard for him when he found out Aaron was dead, too."

"Yeah, you have no idea.", said Ivan, "I can't believe he jumped off a bridge."

Keith stood up and pressed his lips together in a tight line, "Yeah, about that. We still haven't found the body, so we still can't prepare a funeral."

No body?

Then why did the note say he jumped off a bridge?

Trinity looked at Officer Keith, "Sir, if I may ask, can I see the note for a moment?"

Officer Keith pulled a white sheet of paper from his pocket and handed it to Trinity, and she took her time reading it.

Dearest friends and family,

By the time anyone sees this, I will be dead. I can't bear the pain of knowing that the only person who understood me is gone and there's nothing I can do to bring him back, but there is something I can do to be with him again.

Don't try to look for me, don't try to talk me out of it, because you won't even make it in time. I'm running away to find the nearest and highest bridge in Raven Brooks to jump off of.

Mom, Dad, I love you.

Trinity furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Sir, where did you get this note?", she asked.

"Do you know Mr. Peterson?", asked Officer Keith, the kids nodded their heads. "He said he found it on his way home from the grocery store."

Trinity didn't know why, but something about that seemed a little too suspicious.

First of all, Nicky would never sign a letter as Nicholas, he doesn't even like it when people use his full name. Second of all, Nicky hadn't even seen that much of Raven Brooks yet, so how would he know if there was a bridge?

Trinity handed the note back to Keith. "Thank you, sir."

Officer Keith nodded and walked away.

Enzo put a hand on Trinity's shoulder, "You alright, babe?"

"I don't think Nicky really committed suicide."

Everyone widened their eyes when she said that. "What do you mean?", asked Maritza.

"I mean I don't think that note belonged to Nicky, someone must've forged it in his handwriting.", replied Trinity. "But the only question is who?"

Ivan looked across the street, and his eyes accidentally stumbled upon the Peterson house. He looked through the top window of Aaron's room, and he saw a familiar silhouette. When the silhouette stepped closer, his eyes widened once again. "Isn't that Nicky right there?", he asked, pointing to the window.

Everyone else looked across the street, and they could've sworn that their hearts nearly jumped out of their bodies.

Nicky was alive.

But what was he doing in Mr. Peterson's house?!

TEAM NEO FLARE PLANS PT. 2 (electric mommalu)

HELLO ONCE AGAIN, this is Sable, the player behind Ren and entirely too many others! We're getting closer to the date of the real meat of this plot getting started, so I figured I'd put out some feelers again just to see who still wants to take part/who else would wanna join in! This is a plot that is open to anyone who wants to partake; as long as I don't have you blocked in one manner or another, feel free to jump on in.

This plot is going to be pretty damn high stakes, and while part one of this plot is going to be the worst of it (cws for that: mind control, abusive mother behavior (emotional), murder of an adult, kidnapping of multiple adults, attempted kidnapping of a teenager, violence against a teenager), the second part will be very player determined! Though it will have some cws by default; namely endangerment of a child/teenager, the murder of two adults, the mentioned mind control of one of the admins, and a fair bit of violence. Though if you do wanna do something to your character, ask me first and I'll see what I can do. :|b And as a fair warning: part one has to be at least partially a scripted loss for the good guys, and I'm not willing to budge on this, and I would prefer minimal legendary/overpowered stuff interacting with this plot. I'm going to try not to godmod, and I'm going to ask for the same from y'all.

But anyway! I'm going to put this poll up first, since it'll be the main thing that decides when things are gonna happen. This is for part one of the plot, so feel free to vote which timeframe would be good! Other details below~ (also sorry for the pings in advance! i will need to check with peeps to see statuses on stuff)

Anywho! Let's go into the basics.

Part 1.1 of this plot is going to kickstart with Madison and Jacques being on the blog and leaving some little ciphers that are optional elements to be solved; mostly just letters and the like that Noriko exchanged with Lysandre at one point. The real meat of this will be taking place on one of the dates to be voted on, where Mads/Jacques will be getting kidnapped by Iori, a character who's been spying in Zapapico for Noriko for a while. She'll take over Ren's blog for the day for questioning and the like, and Ren will likely be reacting on Carmine's blog (along with the girl in question) while this all goes down, which is going to prompt Ren to escape BBA to save their friends, with the help of Millie/@porygonlover2009! Carmine will also be fleeing the academy, though shortly after Ren to try and tail them. This IS going to result in Millie herself being a boss encounter to fight against for anyone who wants to tail further, and while no pushover, she will try to prevent anyone from going after them and will need to be beaten. This much can be handwaved if needed!

Part 1.2 is where shit gets SPICY, and will take place on the voted upon date. This'll be taking place at the ruins of Cinnabar Island, where Ren and Carmine are going to meet Noriko, Camille, Iori, and a bunch of Neo Flare grunts. Try as Ren and Carmine might, they're going to get beaten both figuratively and literally, and will need some backup. Keep in mind: this is a scripted loss. If solely for Ren to fall under Noriko's thrall and kick the next leg of the plot under way. Carmine's own kidnapping is influenceable, but if I recall right, this'll be taken care of by the girlfriend, so help here will be appreciated to prevent anything from happening to anyone else who partakes!

From there, part 1 comes to a close, and we enter part 2: Neo Flare tries to end the world. I've actually got a blog getting set up (@team-neo-flare), but I want to encourage people to find them, and y'all are free to bring different skills to the table to do so! While Noriko is an amazing hacker and very good at keeping her location a secret, I fully intend to let people counter hack her or find where she's currently holed up, and this is the part where everyone can go as ham as they want.

There will be a few major fights in part 2: primarily, three against the admins of Team Neo Flare (Camille, Lotus, and Iori), and one final battle against Noriko and the Yveltal that she's kidnapped to do her bidding! I do have ways to help fudge a win for the good guys, but all in all, I'm leaving it very much up to y'all on how the story ends. :3b This leg of the plot will take place anywhere from October to December, depending on how my IRL job affects my energy, and while I'm hoping to get it done before the beginning of the new year, I can extend this out as much as needed.

So anyway! That about covers it. Here, I'll be outlying what I need here, and this'll be where the pings for the previous post will happen:

@heropartnerweek Day 7: Free Day | Previous Prompt -> AU

To put it simply, this is an antagonist swap AU and I'll talk more about it under the read more (+ there's an additional art piece!! Watch out because the explanation is very long and disorganized)

In this AU, Grovyle is swapped with Dusknoir while Cresselia has swapped with Darkrai. I came up with the idea of swapping Darkrai and Cresselia initially before deciding to combine it with my interpretation of a Grovyle and Dusknoir swap AU. Now, about Grovyle and Dusknoir. They wouldn't be too different from their main iterations; Grovyle becomes an instantaneous celebrity while Dusknoir tries to collect the Time Gears, hoping he'll find his friend Amber (now turned into a Chimchar) along the way. Because of this, I decided to make the partner a Treecko (named Oran) as I feel like being betrayed by Grovyle would hurt a lot more. Where this AU differs, however is Grovyle's motive. It's not that he wants to avoid disappearing; instead, he wants to prevent his friends (Dusknoir, Celebi, and Amber) from dying. Unfortunately, when Grovyle joined with Primal Dialga (who he calls Lord Dialga) his friends felt that he was a traitor and cut ties with him. Even so, he still continues to try and stop them from changing the future. This leads up to the events of Special Episode 5, where Grovyle essentially arranges for the Sableye to kidnap Celebi as he attempts to lead Dusknoir to the same spot. As Dusknoir and Grovyle venture together, Dusknoir begins to believe that Grovyle has given up on trying to change the past. However, once the two reach Icicle Forest, Grovyle reveals that he intended to have Spiritomb prevent Celebi and Dusknoir from leaving as one last ditch effort to prevent history from being changed. Grovyle finally admits that he was doing so so that Dusknoir and Celebi wouldn't disappear. Dusknoir and Celebi both speak with him and convince Grovyle to be on their side. Naturally, Grovyle agrees and has Spiritomb release the two. Unfortunately, Primal Dialga shows up to ruin the heartfelt moment and starts attacking Grovyle. Dusknoir immediately steps in with Fire Punch, screaming at Primal Dialga and calling them a monster. Just before Primal Dialga is able to retaliate, an aurora appears, showing that the future has been changed. Dusknoir, Grovyle, and Celebi all combat Primal Dialga at the peak of Vast Ice Mountain. They are victorious and Dusknoir holds his two lovers friends in his arms as they disappear. Just like in the original Special Episode 5, all the Pokémon are returned to the future and are able to live out the rest of their lives.

Moving on to Darkrai and Cresselia :]

Oh boy these two are vastly different from canon. Darkrai is highly optimistic and hopes to make many friends (hence the Friend Bow) despite the fact that he causes nightmares wherever he goes. Meanwhile, his delusional sister Cresselia constantly puts people to sleep, saying things along the lines of "Would it not be better if everyone slept forever?" Essentially, Darkrai is constantly trying to chase her down and stop her. In this AU, Cresselia is the one responsible for the collapse of Temporal Tower and she begins distorting space after that fails. Believing Team Sunset (Amber and Oran) are in the way of her plans, she attempts to pin the distortion of space on the two children. This ultimately fails as Darkrai manages to catch up to her and convinces Palkia that Cresselia is in fact the one distorting space. Cresselia then flees to Moonlit Mountain (a dungeon near Crystal Crossing, meant to be the opposite of Dark Crater) after she taunts Amber, Oran, and Darkrai into going there. Upon reaching the pinnacle, Cresselia informs Amber that she was the cause of Amber's memory loss. She also goes on to explain that she initiated the collapse of Temporal Tower as well. Cresselia proceeds to summon six other Pokémon to fight alongside her. Once she is defeated, Cresselia opens a Dimensional Hole and gloats about her victory instead of actually escaping. Because of this, Palkia is able to show up and stop her. Unexpectedly, Darkrai leaps in front of the attack, pushing Cresselia aside. The Dimensional Hole closes and Cresselia is utterly mortified as she cries out, questioning why Darkrai would even bother to save her. Darkrai reminds her that despite everything Cresselia has done, she is still his sister and that she has the capacity to be a good person. Cresselia finally remembers why she had done everything: Cresselia was trying to protect Darkrai. After all, Darkrai was constantly harrassed for simply being himself. Cresselia believed that if she put others to sleep, then they would stop berating Darkrai. Her desires eventually grew twisted as she derived satisfaction from harming those she deemed to be evil, leading her to become the Pokémon she is in this AU. To make up for her misdeeds, she uses Lunar Dance, healing Darkrai. Palkia leaves, convinced that Cresselia will not continue to distort space. Darkrai requests to join Team Sunset, which Amber and Oran happily accept. Cresselia on the other hand, decides that she needs time alone to reflect upon her actions, but, when she is ready, she will return to the peak of Moonlit Mountain for a fair battle should Team Sunset wish to recruit her.

That's my take on this AU! I'm not sure if anyone else has made this AU before I have. If someone has, I'd love to see their iteration of it!! Thank you for taking time to read this! I know it was really long, but I hope it was at least of some interest to you :] I might draw more of this AU, but I am (slowly) working on a different PMD 2 AU idea I had so I might not draw too much of this AU in the future :/

Aang saying she gives him hope as an apology for how he had been acting since Appa's kidnaping? Aang letting go of his attachment to her to go into the Avatar State to BOTH prevent the Fire Nation from taking over Ba Sing Se and help Katara out when she was having to fight a lot of people at once?

Aang asking her to dance with him with he noticed she was feeling left out? The way all of her friends, Aang very much included, were comforting her after Hama forced her to use bloodbending? Both Zuko and Aang checking on her after she decided not to kill Yon Rah?

Fuck that noise, Katara was loved, cherished, and supported by Aang every step of the way.

And very funny that this is once again coming from fans of Zutara - the ship that only exists because of fics in which Katara falls in love with Zuko after being raped by him in the pirate episode.

Once again, this is coming from Zutara fans. The people that romanticize Zuko going with her on a mission to murder someone. That get annoyed Katara didn't "embrace" the power she supposedly discovered when Hama took advantage of her and threatened both Katara and her friends. The people that love the scene with Zuko fighting against, and being burned by, yet another family member, nearly dying, and then seeing that family member that is younger than him have a total breakdown - because Katara was there with him.

THEY can enjoy tense, downright traumatic moments of the narrative when it puts their ship in the spotlight. Kataang fans doing the same however is disrespectful to Katara.

Hiatus ended!

Hey everyone, sorry we haven't posted our dnd stories in months! There's been a lot going on but basically it got too hard to for the same person who takes quotes to also be one of our current DMs and the whole thing got too overwhelming.

We are only going to be posting quotes from our TTC sessions for now, as the problem came from DM Tati trying to take quotes while running GSP sessions. Sorry to those who enjoyed the shenanigans of Diardi, Gregor, Harriet, Hesty, Hunter, WA and Winnifred, but you'll just have to imagine how their story continues.

We have still been playing all this time, so instead of trying to catch up with quotes we'll summarize Travelling Trauma Centre's adventures in the intervening months (under cut) and then pick up at our current point!

What has TTC been up to since we last posted?

We finished the dungeon The Court of the Crimson King, eventually destroying all but one of the automaton bosses including the Crimson King and his mecha red dragon (Ashiok died in that fight by being completely fucking bisected, but we brought her back to life). We made a truce with the Purple Piper, who without his King to give orders had no further desire for conquest, and went on to hire him and his remaining half dozen automata to guard our manor in Suda (important later) while he proves himself trustworthy.

We then made our way to a town where the son of the mayor kept being kidnapped and ransomed, financially ruining the mayor. We discovered it was a long-term scam wherein the mayor's son had been replaced by a changeling (the real son was living happily with the changeling clan!) and kept getting kidnapped on purpose, but in a twist the 'son' had grown fond of the mayor and wanted to stop robbing him. We brokered a deal between the factions that benefitted everyone (except the changeling leader who went to jail) and convinced the changelings to find more honest work.

From there we travelled up the nearby mountain where there was a dragon we'd been meaning to deal with, Nimble Claws. We had previously encountered a green dragon called The Rotten who had been injured when the younger blue took over his territory. By all accounts life in the mountain had been worse for pretty much everyone since. Unfortunately Nimble Claws had also moved in her elder dragon boyfriend since claiming the territory so we had a lot of dragon on our hands. The Rotten met us there and we managed to sneak all the way into the lair and challenge the boyfriend Cosnemra (chaddest dragon to ever chad) to a duel. We eventually killed Cosnemra and took his skull, whereupon The Rotten (taking Cosnemra's name) decided that instead of killing Nimble Claws and reclaiming his territory would rather move in with her and her egg, allowing her to continue her tyranny. We left with intent to level up and come back to wipe them both out.

We knew peace in Suda for a short while before we were woken in the night by the sounds of fighting. Our brand new automaton guards were fending off a hit squad of kuo'toa, and beyond our garden the city was in flames. We spent a frantic night beating back the kuo-toa hordes and eventually made it to the palace in time to prevent the monsters making it to the emperor (though a lot of people died that night). It turned out the one pulling the strings was... Larissa Firespit, the dragonborn lich we'd already killed twice but whose phylactery we'd failed to destroy before she spawned a third time. Unfortunately with the kuo'toa on her side she was on the cusp of ascending to godhood, and she was intent on finishing us off for good this time. We stole a couple hours of sleep and then stormed her temple in the sewers beneath the city, where she was accompanied by four angels suspiciously veiled in spiderwebs. She put up a tough fight but eventually she was destroyed.

We trudged wearily back to the palace to report to Emperor Cherish and his head bodyguard Dorphi. We told him of all that had transpired and confirmed with one of his personal divination wizards that the lich was finally gone permanently. We then went on to warn him that one of the nobles in the city was really Lolth in disguise, and she had aided Larissa in the attack with her angels and her divine influence. At that moment who should walk in to the emperor's chambers but Lolth in her noble disguise. She berated us for throwing away the perfect opportunity she had given us - to have Larissa kill the emperor so that we could go on to defeat the lich and have Billie take the throne as she was destined to do (she also admitted she had produced the quests that removed all our allies from the city just days before). When we asked why, she declared that she was still determined to have our help in defeating Demogorgon, and we were going to need the resources of the throne to succeed. She then tried to force us to kill the emperor, and when it became clear we weren't going to she threw a deadly spear at him herself, barely intercepted by the party tanks. We resorted to our old ways of bag of holding abuse; Seraph stuffed the emperor into her Bag and then teleported away to our bolt hole at the nearby university. The Spider Queen conceded the day to us and left, while old friend and deus ex machina Maria Cleaves teleported back into the city to help. Everyone reconvened back at the palace and Billie made a plan with the emperor to officially declare her legitimate claim (and loyalty) to the throne and name her as heir, to remove the need for Lolth to kill him.

This was a pivotal sequence for TTC and levelled us to 21 (the beginning of Epic Tier; 4th edition having 30 player levels) and granting us our Epic Destinies. During the conversation with Lolth Thaddeus called on Pelor for strength and in response was made an Exalted Angel complete with wings and halo. By summoning Maria and teleporting the emperor away from certain death, Seraph connected directly to the source of magic and became Magic Incarnate. Ashiok was once again dominated by Lolth as god of the drow, but that humiliation and pain catalyzed her path as a Harbinger of Doom destined to destroy Lolth. Billie's refusal to betray the emperor and her oath to make things right in her own way made her a Topaz Crusader with a particular enmity for demons. Kjell's fearlessness in the face of divinity unlocked his Archfey bloodline. Godric had already been offered a fusion of souls and power by his patron, and will take up his chosen destiny the next time they meet.

Following these climactic events TTC needed some down time and spent the last few weeks of the summer on a road trip, visiting family around Persia. Seraph finally returned to the village of Moraspire that was destroyed in her childhood to find it rebuilt and thriving, but her parents confirmed dead. Thaddeus checked in on the tiny village of Piravhaz and found all was well, which he had set out as an adventurer to ensure. Billie visited her baker mums for the first time since being driven out of her village and finally caught them up on all her adventures. Kjell took us to meet his family, finally able to show them the fine man he has become since his difficult departure. Godric decided not to visit his family, having finally made peace with his past and no longer needing their approval or validation to love himself. The party then returned to Suda to sort things out re: Billie's adoption to the royal family, and to embark on the next arc of their extraordinary story.
