What is their birthday or date of birth OR how old do you see them as in the games you play them in?

Audrey Langston my beloved. in my head, she starts out 19-20 in SR, then 25 in SR2, 27-28 in SRTT, 29 in the prologue to SRIV, then 34-35 in the rest of IV. her birthday is April 7, but that, along with most personal information about her, she keeps solidly to herself. (and to Johnny, Pierce and Shaundi, the people who have been with her the longest time.)

Which is their voice?

I’m a Critical Role fan, so I obviously immediately went for Laura Bailey voice. in-universe it’s somewhat raspier.

Who is their second-in-command or are all their lieutenants equal?

Johnny was her initial second-in-command, but after his apparent death she split the role between Shaundi and Pierce. I imagine the moment Shaundi was kidnapped in SRTT, Audrey’s response was to say “fuck it” to revenge and to being Feared—at heart, she cares deeply for the Saints, who she sees as Hers, and she especially could not bear to lose Shaundi after losing Johnny. getting even more fame and fortune actually barely even registered in her brain, although she did bask in it and the power very happily.

with Johnny’s return, she’s pretty much made him her second again, but now he and Shaundi and Pierce kind of make up an advisory council to her. it actually kinda played into Keith’s betrayal—he found it galling that Audrey made him VP but listened more to Shaundi and Pierce than to him, and that just built up over years and years until he broke.

I love Superman’s origin story because it is the perfect thematic basis for his powerful belief in the potential goodness of people.  

Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van sending their son to Earth alone was an ultimate gamble on the goodness of strangers. They sent their only son – The Last Son of Krypton – to Earth as a desperate attempt to give him a chance to survive. Everything they were, everything that they could have been, was swaddled in a blanket sent off into the unknown in a ship the size of a cradle. And they knew baby Kal-El would be unable to survive by himself, that his only hope was that some strangers from another distant world find him and respond not with fear or paranoia or hatred, but with love. 

And in a thousand cynical stories Kal-El would have been stolen away by government scientists, or killed, or abandoned, or died alone in the fields of Kansas. But this is Clark Kent’s story and in it his parents' desperate faith in the goodness of strangers was rewarded. The Kents found him. This very ordinary and very human couple found a baby in an alien ship well beyond their technological understanding and decided to react not with suspicion but with kindness. 

They saw him not as a potential extraterrestrial threat but as an alone baby who needed help. They raised him like their own, with all the love and kindness they could give. They responded to his inhuman or even dangerous powers not with fear or rejection, but with understanding and endless support. And they taught him his values of helping others, the importance of assisting those weaker, lost, or more alone than yourself. 

And with this in mind how could this Superman – the product of the ultimate act of hope and the kindness with which it was met – not believe in the potential for goodness of everyone? How could he not believe that, despite everything, this big wide world is inherently kind?

Korn - Did My Time 2003

"Did My Time" is a song written and recorded by American nu metal band Korn for the film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life. It was released as a single in July 2003 in support of the film, and was later featured on the band's sixth studio album, Take a Look in the Mirror. It was only released as a single for the film, and featured during the end credits. It did not appear on the motion picture soundtrack, due to certain clauses in Jonathan Davis's record contract at the time, the same reason why Davis could not release the original versions of the songs he composed for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, which featured his vocals. The instrumental version of "Did My Time" was also featured on the PlayStation 2 fighting game Fight Club.

"Did My Time" became Korn's first and only top forty entry on the Hot 100, peaking at number thirty-eight in August 2003. The song received a nomination at the 2004 Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance, but lost to Metallica's "St. Anger". This would be Korn's fourth nomination in the aforementioned category and their sixth overall.

The music video was directed by Dave Meyers, and featured the star of Tomb Raider; Angelina Jolie.

As has already been reported elsewhere, Penders recently took to his personal blog to announce a major milestone...

The first Lara-Su Chronicles book (which is mostly a Mobius: 25 Years Later collection) is real. The proof copy has been manufactured. These will be in peoples' hands in a matter of months.

We've already seen the godawful cover art plenty of times before, but I'd like to highlight how bad the back cover blurb is here. It's mostly background info with very little about the actual story. "Some characters would be married with families of their own. Others walked different paths. The fate of a world would be determined." That's all it says about what happens in the comic! The rest is inside baseball stuff. Not exactly a great hook.

However, I feel like this weirdness may be because Ken had to very carefully design the front and back cover so that it isn't selling itself as a new Sonic book. As we've discussed before, Ken regained ownership of all the stories he wrote for Archie Sonic after the settlement with Archie, as well as all the characters he created for the series. He's allowed to do whatever he wants with his old work and his own characters, but he's forbidden from selling new Sonic-branded products. They have to be distinct at a glance. Per the settlement, Sega needed to make sure Ken's future works didn't "have a look or feel as though they were part of a Sonic universe." This is one of the reasons why the cast has been redesigned in a new (bad) art style for The Lara-Su Chronicles.

So while the old comics reprinted inside the book still contain Sonic characters, since Ken can still use that existing material that was forfeited to him in the settlement, you'll notice that nowhere on the new front or back cover does Ken show a character owned by Sega. The only characters shown using their appearances from the original comics are Julie-Su and Lara-Su, who Ken owns. Knuckles has been replaced with his TLSC equivalent, K'Nox, who's probably juuuuuust different enough to be considered a legally distinct character. In the blurb, Ken can mention that he wrote the original stories for Sonic and Knuckles-branded comics, because that's just a factually true statement, but he can't advertise that the book he's selling contains Sega-owned characters like Sonic, Knuckles, or even Sally. They're just... "some characters."

I remain fascinated by the weird needle Penders has to thread here due to the very specific copyright situation he's found himself in.

Oh, to be an unknown gaming streamer who dresses up in Lara Croft cosplay and streams the remastered Tomb Raider games, only for a very bored Shigaraki to stumble on your stream with a grand total of 1 person watching (the 1 person is him) and at first he's bored, thinks you're some dumbass who probably didn't even play the original games...

But after a while.... hey, you're pretty good at this, aren't you? And he thinks it's kind of cute when you get flustered with Lara's shitty controls and huff out impatiently. He offers you tips, though you don't always need them--turns out you did play the original games, though you never beat them, so he's more than happy to offer you advice on the higher levels.

And since he's the only one on your stream, you talk to him pretty eagerly. Especially when he starts donating, and he gets to see how shy and happy you look when you thank him, and tell him what you'll buy with the donations. Eventually you grant him access to a voice chat so you two can chat more organically while you play.

It's almost like your friends, he thinks. Even if you only talk to him while you stream, and you haven't given him your real name or email or have even told him where you live. (Not that he needs them. You were easy enough to find.)

The first time you giggle at something he says is when he knows he's in love.

The first time you wear an outfit he purchased for you from your wish list is when he knows he has to meet you in person.

The first time someone else shows up to your stream and you give that person just as much attention as Tomura is when he knows he's going to kidnap you sooner rather than later.

i've seen people talking about how drastic the change between cooper and audrey's relationship in s2 is and realize people don't know the lore.

regardless of how you feel about their relationship, the intention that the writers had in s2 was for cooper to fall in love with audrey. eventually this was going to lead to an affair. they have said this multiple times. aside from who killed laura palmer, their most popular storyline was cooper/audrey and when abc pressured lynch and frost to reveal the killer early (which lead to the show's cancellation) they planned to lean on anticipation of the storyline to get them viewership. mark frost has said that they planned on five seasons for twin peaks.

in 1990 kyle maclachlan was dating lara flynn boyle who plays donna hayward, lara became upset that kyle had so much chemistry with sherilyn fenn (who was 25 in real life) so their entire relationship is axed. not only any romantic scenes, but ALL their scenes. after 2x12 kyle and sherilyn never share any direct scenes together. kyle did share that he felt cooper would not have a relationship with 18 year old audrey which i agree with but then they come in and essentially recast heather graham to play a 20 NUN, barely older than audrey herself, to be his love interest in audrey's place. everything that happened with annie at the end of s2 is a placeholder for audrey. and i'm certain it's why we do not see annie in the return but come to find that audrey has been in a somewhat similar situation to cooper for 25 years. it's fascinating to say people say they don't ship cooper and audrey because of the age gap - a very valid squick - but still like their relationship and miss it when it's gone. it shows how their dynamic was embedded into the show and it does say something about dale cooper as a character that this was the original storyline.

it shows how much a network like abc cut what david lynch and mark frost were trying to say at the knees and how cutting off two strong storylines bc of behind the scenes stuff and what execs think audiences want really harms a show as popular as twin peaks can be it's demise. if they hadn't pressured david lynch to reveal the killer early, then they could have carried that on to at least season 3 and do the timejump they planned and who knows how differently we would remember twin peaks now.

Alternative Universe that I'm way too lazy to write so I'm just gonna dump what I have here

The AU is that Krypton was never destroyed and Kal-El and his parent's lived there happily, while Bruce is an astronaut that gets lost in space and accidentally ends up in Krypton, being put under the microscope by a fascinated Kal-El. I was rewatching MAWS S2 and thought about Kryptonian Kal-El and how he's so cute but also the potential. Nothing against Lois. I think she's the best parter for Superman, right next to Bruce, so I thought, what if that was Superbat?

Bruce is an astronaut (no family on Earth becuse reasons, not even Alfred) in a mission trying out the first hyperspeed spaceships, fueled by a mysterious mineral: kryptonite, and is accidentally sucked in by a wormhole, which throws him out 26 light years away from Earth and right into Krypton's space territory. As the son of Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van, of course he's a science nepo-baby on Krypton, and he gets to meet the alien directly. Of course, Kryptonians had made contact with other species, but never one so similar to them. Clark wanted to know everything.

And Bruce was confused but in reality, there wasn't much he could do. He trusted the kryptonians would get him back home, but as the story progresses, he doesn't want to go back. He's found himself in love with Kal-El and wants to stay.

He has to win Kal-El's parents' approval, of course. The only way to do that is by combat with the best warrior around (Kal-El gets the privilege of the warrior instead of just a family member because he's basically royalty on Krypton). Bruce wins not for brute force but by outsmarting his enemy.

After that they date a bit more and get married yipieeeeee

They adopt their kids. They adopt kryptonian Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Cassandra Cain, Tim Drake, Duke Thomas, and why not? They make Damian in a kryptonian matrix. Hell yeah.

They kids all would have original kryptonian names and Bruce would give them human ones too.

They can have a butler named Alf-Red

And they live happily ever after.

Okay so I've been thinking about this for a while. So back in the 80's John Byrne overhauled the Superman origin story to come up with the concept of Krypton as this cold, technologically-driven planet--and this was partially so that the ship Superman arrived on earth in was an artificial womb so that he would kind of, technically, be 'born' on Earth (which honesty cuts into a lot of the pathos of Krypton and Lara and Jor as parents and also cuts into the 'Superman as immigrant' narrative which we've come to love so much). And this did end up influencing Superman lore because, hey, Krypton as a technologically-driven society that is deeply flawed but also convinced of its own perfection is still really interesting.

Cut to Snyder making 'Man of Steel' in 2013 where he asserts that Kal-El is the first "natural" birth on Krypton in centuries. So basically because Snyder wanted to work in more of his Christ metaphor for Superman ("His birth is a HUUUUGE DEEAL"), you end up back with the lore that yes, Kal-El was a (born) baby when he got put in his rocket and thus it's back to an immigrant narrative.

Anyway, ANYWAY, my point is, even though both these writers were working from a weird conservative place that fundamentally misunderstands major points of Superman's character (In Byrne's case, Superman as an immigrant, and in Snyder's case, Superman as Jewish/Space Moses) it has resulted in what may be my favorite implication of Superman Lore: That Jor-El and Lara were considered pervert freaks for having a baby the old-fashioned way. If Krypton never blew up, Kal-El would have grown up relentlessly bullied, like "That's Kal-El, his parents had him by having sex, without input from the proper committees, he came out of a vagina, what a freak."

Sidenote but I'm actually really enjoying the "House of El" YA graphic novels right now, because it's basically Lara and Jor going, "The only way to save Krypton is by inflicting ADHD on random teenagers."

🌷So I did a thing..@lara-cairncross, but I managed to make an oc!! Meet Emilia, a garden fairy of the Hidden Hollow. She’s a very sweet and kind fairy, her love for her gardening talent is so infectious and caring. Her aura is so calming and uplifting, it’s like being embraced by the very essence of an entire flower field!

🌷Anyway, here’s some facts about my little delicate flower!:

-She’s LOVES eating anything with strawberries in it! And of course anything sweet will cheer her up! But she doesn’t really eat much of it, so she mostly eats small chopped fruits.

-She’s a sea turtle! (I was originally going to make her a water fairy, but then i realized it didn’t really make up my mind, so after days of thinking and rewatching tinker bell movies, a thought popped up in my head) Emilia is the ONLY garden fairy that can control aquatic flowers and collect seaweed without getting her wings wet! While other garden fairies can sometimes get their wings dampened by doing the work; so she’s the only fairy to volunteer to do it, and yes, she can swim.

-Whenever it was time for the seasons to change, Emilia has a habit of wandering off to see the humans. Mostly because she really wanted to know more about them cause of the stories the other fairies talked about. But at early morning, she peeked through April’s window cell and saw four other fairies that looked just like her, till this day she wondered who they were.

-Back home in the forest, she has the most BIGGEST garden! Filled with various of flowers and succulents that have been on the books, while some were very rare and never heard of before. And also a border to the winter side to see her best friend! Lumi, Yuichi’s younger sister.

-When Emilia’s friends come to hug her, they can always smells like a dessert! Strawberry shortcake with a hint of vanilla syrup and a dollop of a Sakura blossom on top. Even when she gives something to them as a gift or for something, she has the most SOFTEST hands ever! That’s why she’s mostly seen holding hands with her friends when flying or walking around in the field.

-She has a VERY contagious laugh.

🌷Little Emmy is really good at sewing! But sometimes she can stitch things at the wrong end or mess it up, she’s still learning! She goes on picnics by herself so that she can study all plants around her and in case she got hungry she packed desserts or whatever she made with her bare hands (I’m sorry if my handwriting looks so different in the picture, it’s because i took breaks and i totally forgot which brush i used before 😭)

🌷The first time Emilia went outside the forest was when she was very very young, nobody really knew her so whenever she walked around the Hidden Hollow she’d either end up bumping into someone or falling to the ground because she was still getting used to her legs rather than flying around. The garden fairies soon recognized her once she reached a flower field, surprisingly they were nice to her. They asked for her name, but she didn’t learn how to speak so instead she pointed out towards a pretty pink tulip, so the garden fairies started calling her tulip! (The little flower knew her name, but she just didn’t know how to speak yet)
