Okay so I had skipped forward to zou briefly before so I saw the drawings Kanjuro did to climb the elephants. Only to go back to Dressrosa and discover that this dude has been able to make things that can fly the whole time 😭

Uhhhh anyway I am going insane over @loudclan-clangen and the newest update??? I’ve been following this story for uh. A while now I think. But after the latest update and the Everything that Wildfirecry got up to I was smacked VERY HARD with the visual of him ending up with an apron of blood instead of his usual apron of oil. Aaaand here we are.

Love how I managed to make clangen fanart before an actual moon of my own clangen story. adhd be like that. (If you like my artstyle and want to see what I do when I get up to it it’s @as-the-raven-cries-wolf bc RavenClan as a blog name was taken lol)

The first one was supposed to be a discord-friendly version bc discord gets fussy when I use too much detail, the second one is me drawing out his oil apron before I turned it into a blood one. It was really interesting trying to translate D’s style and design sensibilities nicely into the way I draw cats, the tufting and more squared-off jaw especially, but it was really fun, picking and choosing what and how to translate, and some things to just keep the same (like the eyes, with a little thematic twist).

Realized it’s been over a year since I last drew him and couldn’t stand by that

#keese draws #oc art #oc #ocs #seth my beloved <3 #fun fact! he’s very likely my oldest currently used oc #I’m pretty sure I made the rest of the magic cat world for him and if that’s true then he’s at least older than the magic cat world #and he’s also older than eternal gales so that’s another batch of main ocs that he is older than #the only real competition is lace since she’s also super old but alas I have no way of knowing how old she is #she could easily be older than seth but even if she is she’s only been like a real oc for the past few months lol #she was originally just another one off story concept I was obsessed with for like a month and then kinda dropped #I say kinda because she’s probably the only story from that era that managed to resurface every now and then #like it is legitimately quite impressive that she’s from that era and yet managed to be named and remembered for years to come #like I need to make clear I did not name characters very often back then and when I did I usually forgot their names within the day #my memory Sucked back then even more so than it does now #the fact that I can remember as much as I do abt lace in her original form is baffling to me #but still she did go into slumber for like 4-7 years so she doesn’t have the history that seth has to me #the biggest thing I mourn is that I don’t have the original art of seth anymore and haven’t for years #I originally got him from a scratch dta and the host project has been deleted #chances are the original designer doesn’t have the original drawing anymore either 😔#I probably had it downloaded on my school laptop at the time but I obviously can’t access that anymore #idk maybe I imported it onto one of the other projects I drew seth in #I should go look later just to make sure even tho I’m pretty sure they won’t be there

tales from beyond my beloved. you are right it is very cute (if you ignore the whole a century old murder investigation a 7 year old is conducting)

yapping under the cut

tales from beyond happens in a small village up near the Catalan Pyrenees and it's basically my excuse to set a story where i'm from (i live in central Catalonia and not that far up north tho). it's also my designated fall mood wip so i will probably post more about it as it gets colder :]

in this alternative earth, all folk tales are basically all true, and these beings from Beyond live among us (ha), disguised as humans. there are very few people that can see pass their disguises, and even fewer that can walk into the Beyond and then come back.

arion is one such people. he's the son of two academics that specialize in Catalan folklore, who have recently moved up to the north for their research. all his life, he has enjoyed making friends with all the different creatures he finds himself making friends with. he's curious and unafraid of the unknown, and he loves drawing and exploring.

soon after settling into their new home, an unconscious teen is found in the woods with apparently no memory of who he is or how he got there. arion's parents take him in (the rest of the small village is mostly old people that don't really have the resources to take care of an injured teen). they also give the teen the name chimera when he can't remember his own, if he ever had one.

arion immediately knows there's something more to this teen. his eyes are an unnatural shade of gold, his pupils and ears aren't quite round, and there's a feral energy that surrounds him. chimera's at first distraught he got caught by a seven year old of all things, but arion doesn't intend to out him and is happy to have someone else around to play with (and you can't really get mad at the kid)

and so their little adventures in the forest begin. they meet all kinds of creatures and explore the little village and talk to the locals. they eventually find that their house is haunted by the ghost of a little girl that disappeared in the town many years ago and who has turned into an urban legend

arion is determined to both help her solve her own murder and to find out what's wrong with chimera (his fae form is unstable and he appears to be cursed).

it's all supposed to be adventure of the week type of story with an overarching plot of solving these mysteries.
