Today I learned (12 years late) that the head writer of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Margaret Dunlap, had previously worked on The Middleman and Eureka. Yesterday I learned that Sean and Sinead Persaud, head writers of Shipwrecked Comedy, are writing on the new Librarians show. I like it when people who write things I like work on other things I like!

Kinda late in the day, but here's my latest newsletter. Because apparently masculinity is having a wee bit of a crisis lately, I'm offering twelve dudes from science fiction, fantasy and magical realism who can serve as positive role models!

@retrograderesemblance {x}
She'd made a mistake. She'd made a very grave mistake. Hell. Bloody damnable hell. Alice hardly paid attention to the man she'd mistakenly assumed was Lamb as he gathered himself in a panic, her eyes fixed upon the older man who'd come in at the most inopportune moment.
When she met his stare, she knew right away that he'd been her target -- not the younger man she'd managed to seduce.
"Standish. Cartwright. Fuck off. Not you." He finally said as he lit his smoke, "You stay."
As the other two left, she moved to sit in his chair, her blouse undone and her lace bra exposed. It mattered very little to her though. With a burning stare, she folded her arms and leaned back in the chair, awaiting the inevitable defeat.
"Taverner send you then? I'd ask you to make yourself comfortable, but after seeing you work, I'd expect nothing less than a striptease."
"Does it matter?" she pressed, her lower jaw tight, "What I want to know is what you intend to to."
That didn't really matter much either. She'd failed, and she'd failed miserably. No doubt she'd be severely reprimanded for it.
