Bingliushen scenario. Was thinking about how funny it would be if one of the few times SQQ flagrantly utilized his sway over Luo Binghe, was in defense of Liu Qingge.
Like if some soap opera-esque series of contrived situations from the backstory arose and some god or something descended from the heavens like "actually I have a Plot Contrivance that says I can take Liu Qingge" (readers choice if that's in the sexual sense, the murderous sense, or the indentured servitude sense), and Shen Qingqiu upon hearing the matter through just snaps his fan shut and is like.
I see.
Binghe?
Unmake this fucker.
The emotional clusterfuck that would ensue. Luo Binghe does it immediately of course, like he's so incredibly into this but also it's only happening because of how much his shizun cares about Liu Qingge, which is infuriating but also he's kind of into it? But on a level he's struggling to define even to himself. Honestly it would be a lot simpler if he was just experiencing normal jealousy, but 0.2 seconds before Shizun told him to nuke that dude the idea had actually already occurred to him.
Then there's Liu Qingge's end of it. Furious. He's not a damsel in distress! Although actually despite his reputation as a war god, he probably wouldn't have been able to handle this alone. Which just grates even more. Except that it as Shen Qingqiu who so instantly and ruthlessly defended him. But he did so through Luo Binghe, who is currently dismantling the problem with the kind of sheer power and ruthless efficiency he rarely gets to show off, and Liu Qingge, despite everything, is not unaffected by the display. In fact he's so not unaffected by it that several things he's been trying to repress for a while now are becoming impossible to ignore.
In fact the only person who is being normal about this is Shen Qingqiu, who is just pissed. The non-pissed part of his brain is too busy thinking about the logistics of a war with the heavens to focus elsewhere. Yet.

I sometimes like to think that Jon can be easily swayed by pretty looks. So imagine his dilemma when Damian starts growing into his looks, looking more and more pretty everyday clearly taking after Talia. And Damian is still yelling at Jon like he did when they were kids and of course Jon doesn't like it except now he has a hard time arguing back because "have Damian's eyes always been that green? Were his lashes always so long? His skin looks so soft" Jon has completely stopped listening to whatever it is Damian is yelling about

This was going to be a panel of a little comic but I got too invested in drawing minute background details so, here.
#They are having an argument over 1) whether crops can be grown on the moons 2) what - if any - impact does this have on the feasibility#of an afterlife being located on the moons#Brakul is a partial convert to the Imperial Wardi faith but this mostly entails having adopted the seven faced God (and some#other elements of the belief system) into his worldview and participating in expected rites while retaining his central#ancestor veneration practices completely unchanged and mostly prioritized.#This doesn't actually cause much friction in of itself with the big exception being disagreements on the afterlife#Wardi practices surrounding death prioritize proper handling of the corpse and funerary rites in order to get the dead where they#need to be- death is a fraught transition from one state to another. analogous to birth. The role of the living is to get the dead through#this transition (preventing them from being stuck earthbound as earthbound ghosts - which is the Bad afterlife). Once the dead#make it to the moons that's it. They don't really interact with the living. There's plenty of conceptualization of what it's Like#in the lunar lands but the cultural priority is not even slightly on the Logistics of existence there.#Whereas the CORE of religious practice among the Hill Tribes is ancestor veneration - ancestors remain interactive with the living#and require/desire their continual support. They are conceptualized as having earthlike 'lives' where they eat and drink#and grow crops and herd livestock and they need the support of the living (in prayers and offerings) to do so prosperously.#There is a HIGH cultural priority on the logistics of their afterlife and it's self-apparent that the world of the dead needs fertile earth#to support them.#So like bottom line Brakul thinks there's no goddamn way that the moons could support an afterlife (they are described as#barren rock that was flung into the sky during creation and certainly Look that way)#and that the Wardi are just wrong about their afterlife's location. They probably go to the celestial fields (which are located#behind the moons and stars) like everyone else#And Janeys finds this aggravating and doesn't see his fucking point but has developed a nagging concern that Brakul Could be#partly right in that the celestial fields could Maybe exist in addition to the lunar lands.#So like maybe they aren't going to go to the same place when they die?#He's already terrified that he'll be stuck as an earthbound ghost and really doesn't want to be even further separated so#he figures he should make sure he gets himself dead and cremated at the same time as Brakul so they can navigate the#transitional period together.#Brakul is unconcerned because he figures that if Janeys actually does get stuck on those barren ass moons he can just kinda#Go Get Him#Ancestor spirits fly to the earth all the time and the moons would be a much shorter distance. Probably wouldn't be an issue.#Long story short these disagreements and underlying anxieties result in fights over whether you can grow corn on the moons or nah

"Everything went wrong after David Bowie died" "everything went wrong after the Reformation"
Me, whose Metaphysics studies and medievalist interests have been heavily shaped by Dominicans: everything went wrong after Ockham et al. sustained the primacy of Will before Good in the nature of God.
#Theology#Christianity#Catholicism#it's funny because it's one of those discussions that sound extremely Byzantine#But if Good precedes Will in God then God's Will is primarily good#and its goodness must be discerned rationally by the creature#but if Will precedes Goodness then good is essentially and substantially arbitrary#God could have perfectly chosen to create a world where murder is always a good and heroic action#or where one's first duty is to make everyone's lives as miserable as possible#And that would be literally good and the good in such a world because God so willed it#such an understanding of the primacy of will on the ontological order leads to an understanding of reality as dominated by power#and in that scheme self-serving manipulations of religion and Scripture are not only easy but rationally justified#that's the where and why of Benedict XVI's motto being cooperatores veritatis#the cooperators or servants of truth#because Truth cannot be possesed and used#it can only be sought and followed after#in honesty and humility#which again ties back to the supremacy of good (and its transcendental truth) in the metaphysical order#EDIT: this is also where strain-the-mosquito-swallow-the-camel legalistic attitudes come from#Because if what's good is what is defined by the will of God as expressed in textual commands#then any comprehensive rational inquisitive reading is out of the question#and will-infused casuistry is in#Biblical literalism can only thrive in this sort of tradition#“where does it say in the Bible that [insert hyperspecific thing...”#but it's also the environment in which the kind of attitude denounced in pharisees#as sticking to precepts without embracing the moral good that sustains them#and so twisting said precepts to their own convenience

The more I read about Primarchs, the more I get the feeling Big E purposely allowed Chaos to scatter Primarchs around the galaxy, or maybe even it wasn't Chaos Gods at first place. It was Big E himself.
If you think about it, Big E never was "Parental" type. It was described he had multiple families with mortal women over his immortal life, and I am pretty sure he never stuck around for long, because sticking around means getting attached, and getting attached means you gain a weakness. And Big E is all about avoiding having any weaknesses.
Raising 20 sons himself, would mean attachements as much as it would mean Emps being direct influence to his sons. And while on one side it would have been positive enviroment for all his sons, that also means Big E would have been forced to be "Parental". And that's probs only fear Big E has.
Scattering his sons in the galaxy not only made them grow up their own people, it also made their individual strengths shine even more. At least that's what I see Big E believing. In truth many of his sons did not luck out and thus ended not developing the right qualities, but instead absorbed sorrow, anger and malice of the soceties they landed in. Some were more lucky and found acceptance and love among their new kin.
So... Do I imply Big E might have yeeted his own gene sons to oblivion just to run another experiment? Yeah, I do, especially as conveniently, no child landed on xenos/uninhabided worlds and you think chaos would have ensured these kids did not grew up to be a threat to them.

I still think about how Leo’s ideal day out for the fam’s venture into the Hidden City was basically just an effort to get some rest and relaxation because boy does he never get that ever.

Why would a toy ever befriend The Doctor? And what does she see in him?
Tumblr media
( P.S Click/Tap the Read More to read about my Poppy Playtime s/i. )
Tumblr media
Experiment 1294 ( Dream Guardian Starlight ) is a toy from Playtime Co. which is their take of the western magical girl genre. Unlike the rest of the toys, the subject was a volunteering Playtime Co. employee in her mid 20s.
Unlike the former volunteer employee was described as quiet and shy Starlight's talkative and a social butterfly. She has a knack of charisma which makes her a favourite to Playtime Co. A favouritism she takes advantage of.
She's very curious of everything, especially towards Dr Harley Sawyer. She looked forward to interviews with him, sometimes following him if he's spotted, Starlight truly wanted to befriend him. She's not oblivious to his cruelty and apathy.
Meanwhile Dr Saywer plays along with her friendship, though he slowly grew fondness of her. Starlight's genuine interest in him fascinated him.
She would mimic some of his behaviour. She started using her charisma to make toys follow her biddings and get what she wants. Starts manipulating toys and employees, use violence when necessary.
This caught the attention of The Prototype. He confronted her, wanting to use her charisma to rally all over the toys for the Hour of Joy. She agreed and became his mouthpiece.
Starlight's now a right hand to the now Experiment 1354, The Doctor. She roams the other floors, checking on other toys, following any orders from Sawyer through her earpiece. Once she does her job well, she'll stay in Sawyer's abode for one to two hours.
Her current task is watching a human who entered the factory. She's strictly ordered not to kill them, but to bait them to enter deeper into the factory. Needless to say, she's having fun.
...Huh? Oh the eye? Yeaaah, she lost her right eye during The Hour of Joy. She self proclaimed the eye belonged to her original self (which is NOT true!!! She asked Sawyer to give her the human eye because it would make her look cool).

something something hatori's feelings for chiaki effectively trapped him guilded cage of his own creation and even after they got together tori still believe's it's only a matter of time before he has to return to said cage because to him, their relationship is too good to be true, like a dream. but as much it would hurt him, chiaki's happiness takes precedent above all else.
