Renewal (TRSB 2024 - art #22)

It's Wine O'Clock Somewhere!

This piece was created for TRSB 2024. What if Finrod Felagund and Thranduil ran a tavern in Valinor? The story from @goschatewabn is forthcoming, and what I've seen is delightful. Watch for it during next weekend's TRSB reveals.

Paper art. Certain things are not exactly seen in the photograph. There's a lot more shine to this in real life. The stool seats are velvet, the glasses are vellum, and the wall treatment is hand colored (which, yes, it did take for fucking ever but was worth it).

Made a spooky love potion scene for this year's TRSB. Really looking forward to the fic Teracotta_Toll is writing to accompany it!!! It'll be available soon on the @tolkienrsb Ao3 collection for TRSB 2024.

Glorfindel returns to Middle-Earth, unsure of what he will find after thousands of years in Mandos, but determined to help the new Noldaran in any way he can. Between the strange inhabitants of Lindon, the mess that is Noldor politics, and whispers of a growing darkness in Eregion, he has his work cut out for him.

This is one of my three pieces for this year’s Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang! SSP: Boldness, Be My Friend

I am going to ssp my TRSB fics one by one, starting with the one that does not star Ecthelion. Because it stars someone much better: Aredhel! And it's an AU story where Morgoth captures not Maedhros, but Celegorm, and it's up to Aredhel (and Huan) to save him. (3k, not shippy, ni special warnings except for the usual frivolousness.) It opens as follows: Turukáno enjoyed waking at dawn. It allowed him to feel mildly superior to his siblings, who preferred sleeping in.
