my mum is getting married next weekend and when they asked me last year if I'd bake the wedding cake I foolishly said yes and now I have to make 120+ individual brownies with my one little oven and minimal equipment and nowhere to store them

What I've learned from a couple weeks of engagement is that I'm going to be pretty chill and flexible regarding like 98% of wedding stuff however I am already conducting an exhaustive survey of every bakery in our metro area because that is the only way to acquire a cake that lives up to my standards.

I just came across this photo of the goth wedding cake that I made for my son and his bride. It made me happy to see it so I thought that I'd post it. They wanted a red cake with black accents. I added the blackberries and the crows and bats because I liked the way that they looked. The creepy hands coming out between the layers are bookmarks that I found online. I used isomalt to make the crystal like formations. I was having a great time making this cake, but it needed a little something else. That's when I added the feathers. The inside of this cake was tie dyed red, purple, and black, with red frosting and raspberries in between the layers. Everything was edible except the feathers and the creepy hands. It was delicious 😋 I was very happy with the way the cake came together. I had never made such an important cake before. It was fun to make. The happy couple loved the cake!! So did I!!! ❤️❤️👰🤵‍♂️❤️❤️

was thinking about recipe for disaster obikin today for reasons and imagining that reformed chef!obi-wan wants to bake the wedding cake himself to show how much he has improved under anakin's tutelage and as a symbol of their love or whatever

and anakin gets that he does he loves how much obi-wan loves him but like he's also like so are you trying to poison me at the wedding or just all of our guests because the first is ok and the second is also ok i would just make sure ahsoka is not in attendance.

because why does katniss truly still identity peeta as a baker???? they’re in the middle of an actual war, like 50 percent of the people katniss has ever met in her entire life are dead, everyone’s stuck in a tiny hidden basement without a shower and peeta was literally a prisoner of the other side for weeks, if not months. when was the last time that boy baked anything, let alone enough to be called a baker???? 😭😭😭😭

Honored to make this 2-tiered cake for a gorgeous fall wedding over the weekend! 8 (total) layers of chiffon sponge with white chocolate Itallian buttercream and white-peach layers inside, wrapped in more of the light, decadent buttercream. I heard it paired perfectly with their prime rib dinner!
