TMayNT Day 5: Favourite Leo.

So I decided to make this harder for myself. This is all Rise Leo, but I collected my favourite (but not all) head cannons, AUs and Fanfics into a little GIF slideshow. We have: canon accurate Leo, Future Leo, Neon Void (by sugarpastels), Like Father Like Son Leo (by eternalglitch), sick fic/angst/trauma/recovery post movie Leo, and gay/transmasc/queer Leo.

Leo gets this special treatment because Rise Leo is not only my favourite but also one of the few characters I enjoy reading AUs and fanfics centred around. I don't know why.

Not sure if I like the version with dithering or not... The background is better but the Leos not so much.

I added this under read more because they don't sync and that would drive me nuts.

Day 5 of TMayNT: Best Fav Leo

OKAY. BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING—I, number one.,CANNOT pick a “best” Leo. It’s physically impossible. But! I also drew all the tv show Leo’s for my first prompt. Sooooo I decided to include one of my other fav Leo’s! I grew up watching the 07 TMNT movie, it was one of my favs, so it surprised me when I got older and saw (at least some) people didn’t like it. I can understand some of the criticism, but I also think this movies pretty good too. It’s very dear to me.

Weeelllll, Leo is and has always been my second favourite turtle and honestly its impossible for me to chose between these two absolute legends! They had moments in their series where they just shone and made me love and admire them all the more…. I’ll say it again, LEGENDS! 💙

TMAYNT Day 5: Best Leo (From all Incarnations)

Man, this was a really tough choice as Leo is definitely my favorite turtle. In terms of coolness though, I probably have to give it up for IDW Leo. This boy has already been through so much from what I've read so far.

I'm only up to issue 66 right now so I have a long way to go but I think he's just super cool! I would have drawn more Leo's but I didn't have a whole lot of time to draw anything so just some little headshots for now!

I would say tho if I didn't choose IDW Leo, 2012 and 2003 would have been tied for sure.

T-May-NT Day 5: Favorite Leo

Picking a Leo was HARD. As the oldest of four I relate to Leo a LOT, he’s a character that I have loved ever since I was a little kid and I adore a lot of the different takes on his character. It was really close between 2012 and 2003 for my favorite, and quite honestly I only decided to draw 2012 because I know I’m planning to draw 03 a lot for this month lol. I love both iterations of Leo so much, they both have such intense character arcs and great bonds with their brothers. 2012 is special to me because I love seeing him get to be a kid himself — his obsession with Spaceheroes, the way he goofs off with his brothers, the way he’s not always able to shoulder the responsibility he’s given… I see a lot of myself in him, and I love him for it!!

The art here is kind of rushed and flat because I actually have to get sleep tonight, but for only about 30 minutes of work I’m pretty happy with it!

All Leo's are good Leo's, but I'm biased toward '03 Leo because ... well, idk lol. 03 was the first series I watched and he was a fav then, and when I started to watch them all again he slipped right back into Fav spot lol. I like how he tries to be honorable and he worries about his brothers and their saftey, and he can also be a little silly he's relaxed enough and I love that about him. (He's also so whumpable)

Drew him in the Fast Forward armor because I think they look cool in it and hadn't drawn it yet (also tried to do it more in the original art style of the show, but its probably little more of a blend lol)
