Damian had watched as his family slowly unraveled after Ma's call. He didn't understand how they had taken her "you don't get to see Tim until you stop trying to use him" and turned it into "you have spent all your chances with him so you don't get to see him or talk to him ever again". Damian knew Ma had meant that they should find a way to solve their problems as adults without using Timothy as a crutch and then they could see or talk to Timothy as a part of their family instead of just based on his usefulness.
Father and Richard hadn't seen it that way. Grayson had spent the next weeks alternating between moping and getting into screaming matches with Father, then storming out of the house and disappearing for days. It was clear that he was being consumed by guilt but instead of trying to find a way to fix things, he seemed to be mourning Timothy, even when he was alive and well, just out of reach. Father had started spending more and more time in the cave. He initially seemed to be trying to bypass Timothy's security features. Once he realized he would not succeed, he had decided to start going through all his contacts, trying to get Timothy's current information. Based on his rising frustration he hadn't been successful.
They hadn't asked Damian. If they had, he probably would have called Timothy from his phone, allowing them to make contact without giving them the information. He had informed his brother of the situation and they both had agreed that that was the best course of action if it were to happen, as unlikely as it sounded. Damian had initially said he could just pretend not to have the information but Timothy had insisted that he didn't want his little brother taking heat for keeping it hidden. Not when he had Timothy there to protect him, even if from afar. Damian had reluctantly agreed. They didn't ask. They barely even noticed Damian. In those weeks they didn't acknowledge him more than a handful of times and only for a brief greeting or a hair ruffle. Alfred had taken refuge on his role as a butler and rarely stopped to talk anymore. The manor was big enough for him to have infinite places to clean and avoid his feelings. So he did.
Damian remembered the last time he had met with Timothy. They had talked. Damian had apologized for his early murder attempts and Timothy had accepted it. They talked for hours about the family dynamics and the differences between their upbringing, along with the similarities, and the cultural norms both around the league and their family. Damian could remember thinking to himself that it would have been very useful to have that knowledge when he had just arrived in Gotham. It made him regret his treatment of Timothy, even if Timothy didn't blame him for it anymore (or ever, according to their chat).
The part of the conversation Damian kept replaying in his head wasn't exactly about that. Timothy had told him about his life, both growing up without parental supervision and then becoming an emotional support Robin for the good of Gotham. He told Damian a story about neglect that didn't end when his parents died. He made sure to highlight the behaviors within the Bats that had led him into distancing himself from them and eventually realizing it was time to leave.
"i don't think they mean to, not really. They're just prone to lose themselves on the latest problem in front of them, making everything else blurry and unimportant until they completely forget about anything unrelated to what they're trying to solve" Timothy had said. "They're detectives with a puzzle. They don't know how to stop. They assume the world around them stays the same until they emerge from their current obsession and are surprised when that isn't the case, usually leading to a second deep dive into the next problem born out of neglect."
Timothy had stopped for a second then continued with a thoughtful look on his face. Damian hadn't truly realized it was for his benefit more than Timothy's. "For example, when you came to the manor, Bruce was trying to bring Jason back to the manor while keeping him in his mind as the 15 year old but he had been when he died. He couldn't figure out why it didn't work but refused to acknowledge all the changes Jason had had in the past years and therefore couldn't recognize the person in front of him with the image he previously had of his son. That's why he was so distant with you at the beginning. Dick tried to compensate for it as he usually did whenever Bruce got into one of his moods. That meant he started cancelling plans with me and switching his focus to you entirely while putting me aside, since, from his perspective, I was 'fine' and you needed him more, never even considering that a big part of that was because of the attention he was paying me or how it would affect me to suddenly take it away for no reason."
He had given Damian more examples after that. Timothy had reassured him that it wasn't his fault or his responsibility but it was still important for him to have the information and know the signs. Timothy had made him promise that if it ever got that bad for him, that he wouldn't wait as long as Timothy had or endure the neglect hoping that it would get better if he gave them enough time. He had made him promise that he would come to Timothy if it came to that. No matter what.
Knowing his decision had already been made, he started packing his bags. Only the essentials. And his animals. He couldn't trust his Father or Grayson to take care of them when they barely remembered to take care of themselves on a good day, let alone now. He called for Jon and texted the Kents. They agreed to house Batcow, Titus and Jerry on the farm. Alfred (the cat) was staying with him and he would ask Timothy about bringing Titus to live with them later.
He took a look around the room, making sure he wasn't forgetting anything. He decided to leave his finished paintings, he could always make new ones and he didn't want to travel with too many things, even if he was going via Kryptonian. He could always come back if he forgot something important (he probably wouldn't). He hesitated for a second then took the framed picture on his nightstand and carefully shoved it into his bag. It was one of the ones they had taken after Timothy had rescued Father. Everyone was in it, Brown, Cassandra, Gordon, Todd, Richard, Father, Pennyworth, Thomas, and Damian. Everyone but Tim. They looked happy. Now it also felt incomplete. Damian still took it.
He left his bags in his room and took one last lap around the manor, waiting until the last minute to put Alfred in his carrier. He didn't find anyone even though he made sure to go through their preferred spots. He was ready. He texted Jon to come pick him up. Clark was going to come by later to take the rest of his pets. He stood in the middle of the main hall and whispered a last goodbye before going back to his room and opening the window for an already waiting Jon.
🐦🐦🐦
Damian rubbed his hands on his pants and took a deep breath to gather his courage. He closed his eyes for a few seconds then knocked on the door. It opened immediately, familiar eyes watched him with a knowing sadness. Damian opened his mouth and closed it a couple times before the words finally came to him. His brother waited patiently. "Timo... Tim. Can I stay with you for a while?" Timothy smiled at him.
"Of course, Dames. Come on in. You can stay as long as you want." He stepped to the side to let him into the apartment and took his bags from him with a hug. The door closed behind them. "I'm proud of you, kid" Damian heard him whisper and felt warmth fill his chest. Yes, this had been the correct choice.
Bruce comes back from the dead and wants to make things better. Bruce comes back from the dead and Tim was the one who brought him back, so it's obviously Tim who'll know best how to help him reconnect with everyone.
It's Tim who should give him advice on how to bond with Dick. Dick has always been his idol, after all. Tim would know best how to bring him back, and he does. He gives good advice and the two of them begin to get closer.
So Bruce asks about Jason, too. Asks about how to bring his son back into the fold and Tim wished for a brief and brutal moment that it weren't so obvious who the favorite was.
Tim told Bruce to give Jason his space, to loosen his rules, and make it clear that no matter what the Red Hood did, no matter what the Batman believed in, Jason was always welcome. Bruce would always want him.
It worked. Bruce wasn't surprised. Tim was a special sort of bitter.
Bruce asked again for Damian and Tim had to push down his anger. "That boy tried to kill me," Tim wanted to say. "I hate him and I want you to hate him too so that I can remember a time when we had something in common," Tim didn't say, but he got close.
He instead told Bruce how Damian liked art and animals and loved hearing stories of the wonders of Batman.
He told Bruce just how much Damian loved being Robin. Told Bruce to tell Damian what a good Robin he was.
God bless or maybe damn him, but he did and it worked and Tim wanted to start screaming and clawing at something because that would have never worked if Tim tried it and it wouldn't have stopped Damian from cutting his line--something Bruce did not and would never know about.
Bruce asked about Babs. How should he make sure she knew that she was a part of the family? They they loved her and not just for the work she did?
He asked about Steph. How should he make sure she knew that she was more important than his rules and that, if something else should go wrong, she didn't need to run away?
He asked about Duke. He never got the chance to get to know him before leaving--not as well as he wanted to, at least. How should he let him know that he was just as much a son as everyone else? That, whether or not his parents woke up, he'd always be welcome?
He asked about Cass. How should he show her that he loves her even though he has nothing to teach her? How can he convey how much he cares about her, his first daughter?
Bruce gets brought back from time and he makes things better. He brings his family back together by following Tim's advice.
And Tim?
Tim brings his dad back from the dead and Bruce changes, becomes a better father.
Bruce changes, but not everything can.
That, Tim thinks, is why Bruce never calls Tim his son.

I really enjoy looking at Donatello's characterisation - especially the 2012 version of Donnie.
I don't know why, but something specifically about the 2012 iteration of our favourite brothers draws me to them. Maybe it's because I think they have the most interesting and unhealthy brother dynamic to explore out of any version of the Turtles. But just to say right off the bat, I don't agree with the statement that Raphael is abusive toward Mikey in this version. I don't think this to be true at all.
But in the 2012 version of Donnie, I think it's the obsessional aspect of his character that I find interesting. People flame him hard for it - which is very valid - the way he treated April was very creepy, and some of the things he did April had no knowledge of, (Like Donnie taking a photo of her and having it as his laptop wallpaper). But I like doing a little more when it comes to characters' less-than-ideal traits. Yeah, what they're doing is bad, creepy, etc. But why exactly might they be acting that way?
For Donnie, I think his problem is how he looks.
In the 2012 iteration, we never really see the turtles have a strong desire to be human. Mikey sometimes doesn't understand that humans will be scared of him, but he never lashes out and has a big moment like, 'I want to be a human so I can make more friends!' We see Mikey wonder what he'd look like as a human in an episode after Donnie creates retromutagen - with Mikey assuming if he used retromutagen on himself he'd turn human and not back into a regular turtle.
It is played as a joke, though, and he doesn't seem genuinely upset by the fact he's stuck as a turtle, as he is seen smiling after saying he wondered what he'd look like.
Interestingly enough, Donnie is the one to be portrayed as having a negative view attached to being a mutant more than any of his brothers.
Outside of being a mutant, it is implied that Donnie already has a fragile self-image anyway.
Remember the episode Turtle Temper? I think it's the third episode of the first season. But at one point, the other turtles are instructed to shoot arrows at Raph, while Raph has to try and avoid the arrows. Splinter makes it clear, however, that Mikey, Leo, and Donnie are allowed to insult Raphael during the exercise.
I've seen another content creator say that the insults they throw at Raphael could be more them self-projecting views they have on themselves rather than them actually thinking these things about their brother. Leo says, 'And you're always whining, poor me, nobody understands me.'
While this is easily applicable to Raph as an insult from Leo - Leo does have his own fair share of moments where he has gone to Splinter complaining that the others aren't listening to him or respecting him, that they don't understand the burden he has to hold as leader.
Mikey tells Raph he moves like a bloated buffalo - which, although never hinted at in the show, could imply that maybe Mikey is insecure about how much he eats. Maybe his brothers have made comments about his greediness.
Donnie says, 'Oh! You can't keep your back straight during Omote kote Gyaku! And you're ugly!'
I think the first part is interesting as Donnie is the tallest out of his brothers - gangly limbs could mean Donnie has more difficulty knowing how to stand, how to sit, so on so forth. A lot of tall people can feel really awkward as a result of their height.
Donnie most likely is sat over a desk all day, and again, being tall, Donnie has more of a slouched posture out of his brothers. I think it was Karai that also insults Donnie in an episode by calling him scrawny, in which he responds, 'And I'm not scrawny! I'm svelte!' Svelte meaning slender and elegant.
Raph has also insulted Donnie's looks before in an episode, and again, it is unclear if this is a common occurrence, but knowing 2012 Raph's character, it's probably happened on more than one occasion.
Donnie : And why do you keep grabbing me by the face? What is wrong with my face?!
Raph: Do you want me to list the reasons alphabetically or in descending order of grossness?
So regardless of being mutated or not, it seems Donnie just has a generalised lack of confidence and some issues surrounding how tall he is.
But to his issues regarding being mutated.
Donnie might've previously not had any issues with being a mutant. Before, it might've been just a general lack of confidence, as I have already said. But in society, looks are always seen as a good trait to possess if you want to have any shot at a love life. You need to fit into the beauty standards and be attractive if you want a partner.
Before April, his brothers would've been the only thing to compare himself to. He lived in a home with only mutants for fifteen years of his life - so had normal teenager issues of going through puberty and insecurities. A lot of people can feel odd/uncomfortable and dislike their growth spurts, which is why Donnie's issues at first might seem like normal things for a teenager to worry about. Donnie's biggest issue would've been how scrawny and lanky he saw himself.
But when they meet April, there is a glaring difference.
Suddenly, there is somebody in his life who isn't a mutant like him. It becomes abundantly clear to Donnie that from somebody else's standpoint, their biggest issue with him wouldn't be his tooth gap or his height, but just the plain fact that he's so different. Inhuman. Out of the ordinary. A mutant.
When he's rambling to Timothy (Mutagen Man at this point) about why April might be on a date with some punk kid (Casey) the conclusion he resorts to is, 'Because he's human, that's why.'
At the end of the episode A Foot Too Big, when Donnie apologises to April, he says, 'I'm just... a mutant.' Again, this shows Donnie jumps to the conclusion that this is why April doesn't want to be with him, not his overbearing nature or the fact that she just genuinely might not be interested. The problem in Donnie's mind is that he's mutated.
The fact that Donnie used the word 'just' implies that being a mutant is all that Donnie has boiled himself down to. He thinks that his other traits aren't worthwhile or good - like him being funny, smart, inventive - because he thinks that nobody would pay attention to those aspects of his personality. At the end of the day, he thinks nobody will be able to see him outside of being a monster.
In Fungus Humungous, the hallucination of April that Donnie experiences calls him an 'ugly mutant freak'. It is unlikely April actually thinks this of Donnie, but it's what Donnie thinks she does because it's his biggest fear. I'd like to split Donnie's hallucination into two parts. April insulting Donnie about being a mutant, and Donnie's hallucination of April kissing Casey.
We see April kissing Casey. I think the fact that this part of the hallucination comes second is meant to represent this fear of rejection and insecurity surrounding being a mutant are two sides of the same coin. His fear of April choosing Casey is a by-product of his main insecurity. We are shown April calling Donnie an 'ugly mutant freak' first. Donnie isn't afraid to lose April as a person to Casey. He's afraid of losing his only hope at feeling confident to Casey.
In the first half of the hallucination, it shows that April uses a sharp tongue like a whip.
This tongue is shown to go through Donnie's heart and subsequently breaks it.
"To have a sharp tongue" means to be quick to criticize, speak harshly, or make cutting remarks; essentially, someone who is often unkind or sarcastic with their words.
I think this represents that, over anything, it is April's words that break his heart more than her actions. It is her disgust at him being a mutant that shatters him. It's what makes him crack in the episode. He starts screaming, runs away, and shouts that he, 'doesn't want to hear anymore.' This is Donnie's breaking point. Her sharp tongue and words, over her actions like kissing Casey, that is Donnie's true biggest fear.
Donnie doesn't want to be with April purely because he loves her. To Donnie, it would be more than April simply making a choice on who to partner up with. It would be confirmation for Donnie that the issue all along was because he's a mutant.
The point I'm trying to make is that Donnie is more obsessed with trying to improve his own self-image than he is obsessed with April as a person.
He wants to use April as a means to prove someone could love him despite appearances because, as I said earlier, looks are important to a lot of people. Gaining a romantic partner would most likely grant Donnie the confidence, the consolidation that he 'isn't ugly after all' because someone managed to fall in love with him. That is why he so desperately chases after April.
He chases after the feeling of confidence.
His character kills me.

You nearly plunge under the water as you tear away from Bucky’s grip. The thrum of the hot tub jets hum a low drown beneath the thumping of your heartbeat. Your thighs are hot and jittery. Your limbs feel disjointed from the rest of you.
“Baby girl?” He purrs and reaches for you again. “Where you going?”
You flail and twist in the water. You splash to the edge and hook your leg over gracelessly. You barely keep from flopping out onto the ground. You get your feet set and scramble away, wiping the speckle of water from your cheeks as water slakes from your shorts down your legs.
He chuckles and the water stirs with his movement. Is he following you? You don’t wait to see as you race for the back door.
Your adrenaline distorts the sunlight and noise of birds. You stumble inside, clinging to the door handle as your feet slip on the tile. You whimper and rush across the kitchen. You’re dizzy with confusion and fear.
What just happened? What did he do? What did you do?! You’re just as guilty. You got in that hot tub, you let him get close, and then you... you did exactly what he accused you of.
You stagger upstairs, so frantic you use your hands in a half-crawl on the ascent. You pump your legs and arms and charge into your bedroom. You slam the door and lean against it, panting. You close your mouth as you tamp down your breath and listen to the house.
You don’t hear anything. You close your eyes and turn your head straight. Your clothes are wet and sopping, cooling as they stick uncomfortably to your skin. Your hand shakes as you feel along the front of your shorts.
You slip your fingers under the mattress and your insides clench. Just the way the seam brushes against your cunt makes you squirm. You feel swollen and a bit sore.
Oh god. You really did that. You’re not ignorant. You might be inexperienced but you’re human, you’ve been curious, and lonely. But that...
That was wrong. Your mother’s boyfriend just watched you cum. He as good as made you himself. Then he tried to kiss you--
How are you going to explain all this?
“Baby girlllll,” Bucky calls out. His voice is distant, “why’d you run away, doll? We were just getting started.” His timbre gets closer, he must be by the stairs. “Look at this mess you made. There’s water all over.”
You hear him coming up the stairs, slow like a predator. He takes a deep breath and lets in out in a snicker. His steps clap down the hallway.
“What am I gonna do with a dirty girl like you? Didn’t you already shower?” He clicks his tongue in disapproval. “Bad girl.”
You whimper as he taps on the other side of your door. You cross your arms, holding yourself as a chill ripples over you. Goosebumps pinpoint over your skin painfully.
“Hey, baby girl, we can go slow,” he jiggles the handle and you turn to grasp it, stilling his attempt to get in. “I just wanna have a look--”
There’s a sudden honk. The little toot that comes from clicking the lock button on a key tag. You know it. It’s your mom’s car. You gulp and the tension loosens from the door handle. He sighs.
“Shit...” the growl follows him to the opposite end of the hall.
You hear rustling. You’re not sure what’s going on but you’re not coming out until your mom’s inside. The front door opens with the jingle of her keys and you ready yourself to run out and say everything.
“Hey, honey,” Bucky’s voice keeps you pent up. “You’re home. Oh, be careful.” His weight creaks at the top of the stairs. “I was just about to get her to come clean that up. She wanted to try out the hot tub and think she forgot her towel.”
What? No? He’s making it sound totally different.
“Just been mowing the lawn,” he continues.
“I saw that, honey,” your mom trills. “You are just the best, Bucky,” she comes up the stairs. “Oh, look at all this water.”
You open the door, “mom! Mom, you’re home--”
You hurry forward and she stops a few steps down to look at you.
“Oh, sweetie, you tracked water all inside,” she tuts.
“What? Mom--” you pause and look at Bucky. He’s dressed. A tee and jeans. His hairs a bit damp but it could just as easily be sweat... from mowing the lawn. You cringe. “Sorry, but--”
“Oh, and why aren’t you wearing a proper swimsuit?” She reproaches. She comes up and sidles past Bucky with a whisper. He steps aside and turns to watch you over her shoulder. She gets to you and ushers you back to the room, “get changed and go find a mop.”
“Mom--”
“No, sweetie,” she glances back over her shoulder, “Oh, Bucky, do me a favour and put the kettle on for me.”
“Sure, honey,” he agrees.
She faces you again and he winks at you. Your mouth opens speechlessly. You shake your head.
“Look, I don’t want to embarrass you,” she lowers her voice as Bucky descends. “But I can see right through that shirt.”
You hug yourself and frown, “mom...” your lip trembles as you search her face. This looks bad but not for you. You don’t think she’ll believe you and you don’t think you would either. You’re soaking wet and a mess and he has the tan to prove his hard work. “I’ll clean it up.”
“Alright, and if you’re gonna be in the hot tub. Take a towel.” She gives a half-smile then turns to head down to her own room. “I might just get in myself after today.”
She disappears into her bedroom and you stare after her. Shell shocked. How did this happen? The morning is just a smear in your mind.
You twitch as a high-pitched noise tweaks in your ear. Bucky whistles in the kitchen. He’s taunting you, mocking you. He played you like a toy, in more ways than one.
💙
You clean up the floors and do your best to avoid Bucky. Thankfully, your mom is a buffer between you. When you dry up the puddles left from your flight, you hide in your room. You don’t think that will be too suspicious; it's what you typically do.
What isn’t usual is how your stomach bubbles like an overheated pot. You can’t get comfortable, you can’t focus, and you can barely think of anything but that morning. You retrace every step, ever word, and try to find one moment where you can’t blame yourself.
What were you doing? You touched him, you brought him coffee, you got in that hot tub with him. You didn’t even try to push him away when he got too close.
There’s a knock at the door just as you feel like you could doze off. It’s not a good time. Nearly six. You sit up and stare at the wood.
“Um, hello?” You call out.
“Sweetie, it’s mum. Bucky ordered some pad thai for dinner. Why don’t you come have some?” She asks.
“Oh, er... I’m not very hungry,” you reply.
“Right, but, well, I haven’t gotten to see much of you since you got back and I gotta work again tomorrow,” she counters. “If you’re not hungry, why don’t you just come out and spend some time with me?”
You feel that pang in your chest. Not just for having neglected her but for everything else. Bucky should be focused on her, not you. What did you do to spoil that in less than a day?
“Alright,” you relent.
You get up and pull on a loose sweatshirt over your tee. You wear loose linen pajamas on the bottom. You open the door and your mom looks you over.
“Oh, honey, you’re not going to wear that, are you?”
“Are we going somewhere?” You ask.
“No, but... Bucky’s here.”
“Uh, yeah, okay. I’ll... I’ll meet you down there, I guess.”
“Nothing special,” she says. “Just real clothes.”
You nod and shut the door. You frown. She never cared as much before.
You switch out your lounge wear for some jeans and a seersucker shirt. There’s nothing provocative about you. Never has been.
You go down to find your mom and Bucky in the kitchen. She has a plate of noodles and a smile. “Smells, delicious, huh, honey?” She says as she passes.
“Sure,” you agree.
“Come here, baby girl,” Bucky drawls, his back to you, “I’ll serve you.”
You’re mom’s already in the dining room. You drag your feet forward. He twirls noodles with a pair of tongs and piles them on a scallop-edged plate. He turns to you.
“Not the only thing that looks delicious,” he growls in a low tone.
You clutch the plate and your eyes round, “thanks.”
You quickly take it and spin away, nearly spilling it on the floor. You hurry out to the table and heave shakily as you sit. Your mom waits, nails tapping on the table.
“Don’t start until everyone’s sat,” she warns. You’re in no hurry to eat, just to be gone.
Bucky enters with a plate of his own, “forgot this.”
He sets a pair of chopsticks next to you. You look at them then sense someone watching you. Your mom. You eke out a thank you.
“Well, this is nice. How long’s it been since we had a proper family dinner, boo?” She chimes.
“Uh, yeah,” you agree and split the chop sticks. Bucky does the same, deftly perching them between his fingers.
“Family,” Bucky hums. “Yeah, it’s nice.”
Your mom smiles and your heart shrivels.
“Well, I think we need to be honest with each other,” she begins. Your temples beat and your cheeks draw. You glance at Bucky. He's unbothered. “I did have a reason for asking you to come down for dinner, hon.” She looks at you. “I have a surprise?”
“Oh?” Bucky intones. “You do. Well, looks like we’ll both be surprised.”
“Ha, Bucky,” she grins at him. “It’s nothing special, really.”
“A job?” He wonders.
“If only,” she twists the noodles around her chop sticks. “But, I know that you’re looking hard, sweetie. No, it’s something that might keep you busy.”
“Interesting,” he remarks.
You’re nervous. If it’s not a job, maybe more chores. She would think that’s an exciting conversation.
“A date!” She proclaims then stuffs her mouth full of noodles.
You blink and Bucky pinches at his noodles. He takes a smaller bite and chews. You refuse to look at him.
“A date?” You murmur.
“Sure,” she says through her mouthful then swallows. “You’re more than old enough and I know you were so focused in school. It’s about time. And he’s a very nice boy.”
“A nice boy? You know a lot of those, Laur?” Bucky asks.
“Oh, come on, I’m well above his age range. No, you’ll love him, sweetie. Oh, he’s adorable.”
“You know him well?” Bucky challenges.
“Are you so worried? She’s young. And I know his aunt. He has a good reference,” she trills back.
“Shouldn’t she focus on the job hunt first?”
“Relax, she has time for both.”
“Well... what do you think?” He directs his attention to you.
Your eyes dart between him and your mother. He doesn’t look as calm anymore. There’s a furrow between his brows and a dimple in his cheek. You suppose any excuse is good to get some space.
“It’s really nice of you to think of me, mom. Sure, I... I wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone,” you shrug.
“No, you wouldn’t,” Bucky drones.
Your mom smiles, completely oblivious to his chagrin. “Well, it’s going to be so nice. Oh, why don’t we go and buy you a new dress? That’d would be perfect.”
Bucky hums dully and pokes at his plate. You do the same. You're not the best with strangers, and obviously, not with men. But someone your age would be easier to let down. Besides, it will get you out of the house.

The clock in the corner of Atticus's office ticked rhythmically, a sound that had long since faded into the background of his life. The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the mahogany desk where he sat, papers strewn about in an attempt to distract him from the thoughts that had been plaguing him for weeks - thoughts of William.
There was a knock at the door, soft but insistent.
"Come in," Atticus called out, his voice betraying none of the turmoil he felt.
William stepped inside, closing the door behind him with a click that seemed to echo in the quiet room. He was dressed in a sharp suit that did little to hide his youthful vigor. His eyes, however, held a mischievous glint that Atticus had come to both dread and anticipate.
"Working late, Atticus?" William asked, his voice a velvet whisper as he approached the desk, papers in hand.
"Seems like I'm not the only one," Atticus replied, his eyes following William's movements. He couldn't help but admire how the younger man's suit fit him, tailored to accentuate every curve of his body.
William leaned over the desk, placing documents down, but not before his eyes met Atticus's with an intensity that made the older man's breath hitch. "I found something incredible at this antique store," William began, his voice lowering to an almost conspiratorial tone.
Atticus raised an eyebrow, "Oh? And what might that be?"
"A book," William said, pulling an old, leather-bound volume from his bag. "It talks about ancient rituals, including one for body swapping. Imagine, Atticus, getting a taste of youth again with my body."
Atticus's interest was piqued, but he kept his tone skeptical. "Body swapping? You can't be serious."
"I am," William insisted, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Have you ever thought about what it would feel like to... make out with your own body? To see yourself through someone else's eyes?"
The suggestion sent an unexpected thrill through Atticus. He tried to dismiss it, but the idea was too tantalizing to ignore. "And how exactly does this work?"
William moved around the desk, standing closer, now behind Atticus, his breath warm against Atticus's neck as they started kissing, William's hand roaming over Atticus' chest. "I want to experience what it's like to be the boss." He then whispered, "We need something personal from each other. Something intimate."

Atticus nodded, reaching into his desk drawer to pull out a tie he often wore. William, in turn, unbuttoned his shirt slightly, revealing a silver necklace. "This should do."
They moved to the center of the office, where William had already set up candles. He opened the book, its pages yellowed with age, and began reading from it, his voice a low chant. The air seemed to thicken around them, charged with an energy Atticus could feel against his skin.
As William finished the incantation, a sudden dizziness overtook them both. When Atticus opened his eyes, the world looked different — taller, somehow, and the mirror across the room reflected not his own seasoned face but William's youthful one.
"Atticus?" William's voice came from Atticus's own body, sounding bewildered yet thrilled.
"This is... incredible," Atticus said, touching his new, younger face, feeling the smooth skin under his fingertips.
William moved closer, his eyes wide with wonder as he touched Atticus's face, now his own. "We did it."
The exploration began, each touch a discovery.
"Now, you're the young associate," Atticus said, his voice now William's, vibrant and eager. He pushed William, now in his own mature body, against the desk, roleplaying the power dynamic. "Show me how you'd impress your senior partner."
William, in Atticus's body, played along, his hands fumbling with the unfamiliar buttons of the suit, his touch more deliberate, mimicking the authority he now embodied. "I'd start by showing you how much I've learned from you," he said, his voice deeper, commanding.
They explored each other slowly, Atticus marveling at how his own body felt under his hands, the hard muscles, the slight sag of age replaced by youthful tautness. William's hands, now Atticus's, traced over the firm chest, down to the stomach, feeling the texture of skin that was now so alien yet intimately known. Each touch sent shivers through Atticus, the unfamiliar sensation of his own body's skin under his fingertips, now William's, making his breath catch.
"You're always so composed," William teased, running his fingers through Atticus's hair, now his own, feeling the thrill of control. "But how composed are you now?"
Atticus, in William's body, found himself responding as if he were William, his movements more daring, his touch more exploratory. He kissed down the neck of his own body, tasting the salt of skin, feeling the pulse quicken under his lips. He whispered, "You've always wanted to be in charge, haven't you?"
William, playing the part of the senior partner, guided Atticus's hand to his own erection, showing him how he'd pleasure himself in these stolen moments. "Learn from the best," he growled, his eyes dark with desire. Atticus felt the warmth, the weight of it, a new sensation that made him ache with desire.
They moved to the floor, the carpet rough against their skin as they switched roles again. Atticus, still in William's body, sat atop William, now mimicking the senior partner's usual demeanor, riding him with an enthusiasm that was both William's and his own. Each thrust was a lesson in sensation, the feeling of tightness around him, the heat, the friction, all new and exhilarating.
"Look at you, so eager to please," William gasped, his hands gripping Atticus's hips, now his own, with a strength that surprised them both.
Tumblr media
Just then, the phone on the desk rang, vibrating across the wood. Will, in Atticus's body, looked at Atticus with a wicked grin, quickly picking up the call on speakerphone.
"Atticus Montgomery here," William said, his impersonation so perfect that even Atticus raised his eyebrows in surprise. He watched as Will, in his body, leaned back, chewing on a pen — a habit Atticus had, which William mimicked flawlessly.
"Atticus, it's Henry. Need to run through the latest on the case," came the voice of Will's father and Atticus's long-time friend and partner.
"Sure, Henry, go ahead," William responded smoothly, his voice carrying the authoritative tone Atticus was known for.
As Henry talked, Atticus, still in William's body, decided to push the boundaries further. He moved between William's legs, now his own, and began to work his mouth over William's cock, who was now in Atticus's body. Will's eyes widened, but he managed to keep his composure on the call, his voice steady despite the pleasure.
"Uh, yes, Henry, I've noticed some discrepancies in the client's statement," William said, his breath hitching slightly as Atticus took him deeper, his tongue swirling around the head, eliciting a soft moan that he tried to cover with a cough.
Tumblr media
"Everything okay there, Atticus?" Henry asked, concern in his voice.
"Absolutely, just a little throat irritation," William managed, his voice steady as Atticus continued, his head bobbing rhythmically. "I think we should consider involving William more in this case. He's shown remarkable insight."
"Wait, what? Will's too green for this case, Atticus," Henry argued, his tone sharp. "We can't risk it on his inexperience."
"He's not as green as you think, Henry," William countered, his voice firm, the roleplay adding an edge to his words as Atticus continued his ministrations, his lips and tongue working in tandem. "He's been instrumental in piecing together the evidence timeline. He caught something we all missed."
"And what's that?" Henry challenged, the skepticism clear.
"He found that the witness's timeline was off by an hour, which could change the entire narrative of the event," William explained, his voice steady despite the distraction. "That's not something a 'green' lawyer would see."
Henry paused, considering. "Alright, but I'm not convinced. We'll discuss this further. Now, about the deposition..."
As Henry detailed the deposition strategy, William listened, his voice sometimes faltering with the pleasure of Atticus's skilled mouth. "Uh, yes, I think William should be there to observe. He might catch something else."
"Fine, but he's to observe only," Henry conceded reluctantly. "I want to see if he can keep up."
"Absolutely," William said, his breath hitching as Atticus took him deeper, the sensation overwhelming. "I believe in his potential. We should nurture it."
Tumblr media
Atticus, now in the spirit of mischief, moved to Will's feet, now his own, and began to massage them, his fingers pressing into the arches, a silent promise of more to come. William's breath caught, the sensation new but intensely pleasurable.
"And Henry," William continued, his voice thick with suppressed desire, "I've been thinking... maybe William could take on some of the witness interviews. He has a good rapport with people."
Henry's voice was doubtful. "That's a lot of responsibility, Atticus. Are you sure?"
"I'm positive," ambitious William said, his voice cracking slightly as Atticus's fingers found a sensitive spot, sending a shiver up his spine. "He's ready for this step up."
"Well, if you're sure... But we'll review his performance after the first one."
"Agreed," William managed, his voice a mixture of authority and arousal as Atticus's hands continued their work, now kissing the soles of Will's feet, the act both worshipful and erotic.
Once the call ended, Atticus, still in William's body, pointed out, "You played me too well."
With a playful smirk that held a kernel of truth, he replied, "I could get used to being you."
Atticus chuckled, his hands still on William's feet, now his own, caressing them with a reverence that was both playful and sincere. "You even got the pen chewing right. But how did you know so much about the case?"
"I might have been paying more attention than you think," William said, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Or maybe I'm just that good at pretending to be you."
Atticus, with a laugh, leaned forward, his breath hot against William's toes as he spoke. "You're too good, Will. It's almost frightening."
William, still in character, retorted, "Frightening? No, Atticus, I think you mean 'impressive'." He wiggled his toes under Atticus's touch, the sensation sending a jolt of pleasure through him. "Besides, you seemed to enjoy me 'being you' quite a bit."
Atticus's cheeks flushed, the truth undeniable. "I can't argue with that," he admitted, his voice low, his hands moving up William's legs, now his own, feeling the familiar yet new contours. "But don't get too comfortable in my shoes... or my body."
William grinned, the playful banter continuing, "Oh, I think I might just enjoy this little twist of fate a bit longer. Who knows, I might even learn to tie a tie like you do."
They laughed, the sound mingling with the soft glow of the candles, their bodies still intertwined in the complexity of their swapped selves.
"Henry seemed scarily impressed," Atticus noted, his tone a mix of admiration and humor. "But are you sure you didn't put too much work on yourself? Witness interviews, depositions?"
William shrugged with a playful grin. "Maybe I did, but I think you'd like the idea of someone else doing your work for a change."
Atticus couldn't help but smile. "You got me there. I must admit, the thought of you handling some of my responsibilities while I get to sit back and keep an eye on you... it's quite appealing."
Tumblr media
"Now where were we?" Atticus kissed William as they continued the exploration of their bodies, the boundaries of their roles blurring in Atticus' office.

ppl are reblogging this saying they would get along i mean MAYBE but it sure as hell wouldn't be because of THIS. this is not a similarity between them it's a contrast. like. majima would find nishiki's "plan" here completely idiotic and cowardly. he'd be like. ok so help your friend then?? look what im doing im going after dojima. i would not kill my friend to PROTECT her from some awful fate. i would simply kill Everyone Else. also ! majima has already SURVIVED the fate nishiki thinks death is preferable to. he's been through the torture. unsure how exactly that would affect their dynamic but it's something to consider

Your rising sign, or ascendant, represents how you appear to others. It reflects your outward personality, aura, and overall vibe. It’s the first impression you give before people get to know your deeper layers. Now, let’s dive into who is instantly attracted to you based on your rising sign.
Aries Rising – Leo
Yes, Leos are naturally drawn to the fiery energy of Aries Rising. Ruled by Mars, Aries Rising exudes passion, drive, and an undeniable urge to take action. Leo, ruled by the Sun, thrives on passion and the desire to leave a lasting impression on the world. Aries Rising, with their bold and fearless nature, acts as the muscle behind Leo’s ambitions, making them an irresistible force in Leo’s eyes.
Leo is fascinated by Aries Rising’s directness—there’s no beating around the bush, no unnecessary games, just straightforward action. This honesty and confidence are magnetic to Leo, who admires Aries Rising’s ability to take charge. The strong, commanding aura of Aries Rising captivates Leo, drawing them in deeper.
Even more intriguing for Leo is when Aries Rising pulls away. The moment Aries Rising becomes unavailable or disinterested, Leo feels an even stronger pull. Determined to brighten Aries’ day and bask in their fiery presence, Leo finds themselves unconsciously following wherever Aries Rising goes, unable to resist their natural allure.
Taurus Rising – Pisces
Pisces exists in a world of its own, detached from the harshness and coldness of reality. They crave safe spaces—places that make them feel comfortable and at peace. Taurus Rising naturally provides that refuge, offering a sense of stability that Pisces can retreat into.
Taurus Rising isn’t overly expressive or emotionally intense, which allows Pisces to feel at ease rather than overwhelmed by the weight of the outside world. Instead of being consumed by emotional extremes, Pisces can simply melt into the calm, steady presence of Taurus. The unspoken understanding between them creates a peaceful silence—one that never feels awkward or neglectful but rather reassuring and grounding.
Pisces is drawn to the effortless smoothness of Taurus Rising, finding comfort in their ability to create beauty in both their environment and their energy. Taurus Rising listens without the need to constantly talk, providing Pisces with the deep emotional attunement they long for. The Venusian charm of Taurus Rising captivates Pisces, pulling them into an irresistible trance—one that leaves them completely enamored and, at times, obsessed.
Gemini Rising – Leo
Leos are naturally drawn to Gemini Rising because of their effortless sociability. Leos love to socialize, but they prefer interactions that feel natural rather than forced. Gemini Rising provides exactly that—an easygoing, open energy that makes communication flow seamlessly. Unlike others who may hesitate to approach Leo, Gemini Rising jumps right into conversation, making Leo feel instantly at home.
Beyond just social chemistry, Gemini Rising enhances Leo’s creativity. Leo thrives on passion, intensity, and artistic expression, but they can sometimes lose sight of objectivity. Gemini Rising offers fresh ideas and an outside perspective, helping Leo see things from angles they may have overlooked. This dynamic fuels Leo’s inspiration, giving them even more confidence in their pursuits.
Leo becomes obsessed with Gemini because of their popularity and charm. People are naturally drawn to Gemini, and Leo admires those who can command attention as effortlessly as they do. The magnetic energy between them is undeniable—Gemini is always ready to pitch creative ideas, crack jokes, and bring excitement into Leo’s life. With Gemini Rising, Leo never has to worry about boredom.
Leo finds their fire ignited even more in Gemini’s presence, and once that spark is lit, they don’t want to lose it. The connection becomes intoxicating, making Leo crave Gemini’s energy in a way that can feel almost obsessive.
Cancer Rising – Scorpio
Yes, I said it—Scorpios get obsessed with Cancer Rising. The reason? Cancer Rising is both shy and reserved, yet open and nurturing at the same time. They need to feel out someone’s energy before fully opening up, but once they do, they are warm, comforting, and inviting. Scorpios love this because they operate the same way. Just like Cancer Rising, Scorpio doesn’t jump into connections blindly—they observe, analyze, and exercise discernment. This mutual cautiousness creates an innate trust between them, as Scorpio sees Cancer Rising as someone who values emotional security just as much as they do.
Scorpio is especially drawn to Cancer Rising’s self-protective nature. Cancer doesn’t let just anyone in, nor do they readily express their emotions to everyone. They are selective about who they share their inner world with, ensuring that the timing and the person are right. Scorpio admires this level of self-control because it mirrors their own. Unlike other signs that might wear their hearts on their sleeves, Cancer Rising knows when and how to express their emotions in a way that feels intentional. Scorpio finds this deeply attractive.
Another reason Scorpio becomes so captivated is the unspoken connection between them. Cancer Rising is highly intuitive and can pick up on Scorpio’s emotions without the need for excessive probing. Scorpio, who often struggles with expressing their feelings, finds comfort in Cancer Rising’s ability to simply know. Whether through body language, tone, or energy, Cancer Rising naturally attunes to Scorpio’s moods, offering them a sense of safety and understanding. This telepathic bond makes Scorpio feel seen rather than exposed, which is rare for them.
Beyond emotional depth, Cancer Rising also provides a much-needed balance to Scorpio’s intense internal world. While Scorpio is deeply passionate and often caught up in their own intensity, Cancer Rising offers a soothing presence—someone who enjoys relaxation, quiet moments, and gentle emotional reassurance. Cancer Rising instinctively nurtures Scorpio, protecting and grounding them in a way that feels safe and unconditional. This level of devotion is something Scorpio craves, and once they experience it, they become hooked.
Ultimately, Cancer Rising makes Scorpio feel understood in a way few others can. While Scorpio often feels like an outsider, Cancer Rising offers them a place to belong—a warm, protective energy that makes them feel cared for without judgment. Scorpio doesn’t just find a partner in Cancer Rising; they find a lifeline, a source of comfort and emotional security they didn’t realize they needed. And once Scorpio finds that, they never want to let go.
Leo Rising – Sagittarius
Sagittarius becomes obsessed with Leo Rising because of their shared vibrant energy. Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, thrives on abundance, optimism, and expansion, while Leo, ruled by the Sun, radiates warmth, confidence, and positivity. Together, they create an electrifying dynamic where Sagittarius feels truly seen, encouraged, and uplifted in ways that others often fail to provide.
Sagittarius frequently feels like the only enthusiastic, hopeful, or excited person in the room. While they carry a naturally high-spirited energy, they can easily be deflated by environments filled with negativity or pessimism. This is why they are so drawn to Leo Rising, who embodies the same lively, expressive, and fun-loving nature. Leo Rising naturally keeps the energy high, always looking to laugh, have a good time, and bring positivity to any situation. Sagittarius finds this irresistible, sinking their teeth into Leo Rising’s energy and becoming completely hooked.
Both signs command attention the moment they enter a room. Sagittarius brings an infectious, adventurous energy that makes people turn their heads, while Leo Rising exudes a regal, magnetic presence that demands respect without effort. Sagittarius feels like they have met their energetic match—someone just as social, open, and ready for adventure as they are. They admire Leo Rising’s ability to draw people in with sheer confidence and charisma, something Sagittarius deeply respects and is naturally attracted to.
Additionally, Sagittarius is always seeking knowledge, and Leo Rising seems to know things—not just intellectually, but experientially. Leo Rising has been around different types of people, engaged in various experiences, and collected countless stories to tell. Sagittarius, who loves a good story, is captivated by Leo’s ability to entertain and inspire.
One of the biggest reasons Sagittarius becomes obsessed with Leo Rising is that Leo provides the ultimate hype. Leo Rising is naturally generous with compliments, encouragement, and motivation, constantly reminding Sagittarius of their greatness. Sagittarius, who thrives on feeling inspired, soaks up this energy like a sponge. Over time, they begin to crave Leo Rising’s presence, realizing that just being around them brightens their spirit. When Sagittarius leaves Leo Rising’s side, they feel the absence of that fiery, uplifting energy—making them want to come back for more, keeping them hooked and obsessed.
Virgo Rising – Cancer
No one becomes more obsessed with Virgo Rising than Cancer. Cancer craves nurturance and wants to feel at home wherever they go, and Virgo Rising is the ultimate nurturer. Virgo Rising is always eager to take care of others, give, and be of service. They feel fulfilled when they are utilized, and if they aren’t, they feel unappreciated. Cancer loves this because the nourishment and care they give are easily reciprocated by Virgo Rising. Virgo Rising doesn’t feel comfortable unless they are giving as much as they are receiving, creating a natural balance and flow in the relationship. This gives Cancer a sense of security, knowing that their effort is returned.
Both signs are incredibly attentive to each other. Cancer notices the smallest emotional details about Virgo, picking up on shifts in mood or when Virgo is having a tough day, and they instinctively nurture them. In turn, Virgo is highly observant of Cancer, noticing things Cancer may need or desires that haven’t been met, and they’ll go out of their way to provide that for them. This creates an unspoken bond of care, service, and love between them that feels deeply fulfilling for Cancer.
Cancer appreciates Virgo’s reserved, shy nature, as it allows them time to warm up to Virgo’s energy without feeling rushed. Virgo Rising also feels comforted by Cancer’s non-intrusive approach. One thing that truly fascinates Cancer is Virgo’s intelligence. Virgo doesn’t just act; they need to know the details and seek to improve themselves constantly. Cancer values personal growth, and Virgo embodies that in a way that resonates with Cancer. They both appreciate evolution and self-improvement, and Cancer feels nurtured by Virgo’s wisdom. Virgo shares insights with Cancer, teaching them new perspectives and ways of navigating the world. As a result, Cancer expands their mind and grows intellectually, learning outside of their emotional realm.
Cancer finds themselves learning so much from Virgo Rising and constantly absorbing new information. Virgo keeps giving more and more, and Cancer finds themselves coming back for more. The generosity of Virgo, combined with their sweetness and intelligence, hooks Cancer deeply. They see Virgo as someone who is not only down-to-earth but also immensely intelligent and supportive. It’s a situation where Cancer feels seen and appreciated, where they can finally thrive without being underappreciated. This reciprocity creates a strong pull for Cancer, making them increasingly hooked on Virgo Rising’s energy.
Libra Rising – Leo
Leo gets hooked on Libra because Libra is a natural charmer. Libra’s goal is to connect, relate, and be friendly, which is the blueprint for a Leo. Leos love social connections and feeling genuinely accepted, and Libra excels at making them feel this way. Libra isn’t judgmental; they take the time to observe Leo without making hasty judgments. This creates a sense of comfort for Leo, as they feel seen and appreciated for who they are.
Libra’s kindness, warmth, and compliments draw Leo in. Leos love receiving compliments, and Libra is always generous with them, infusing Leo’s life with beauty and affirmation. Leo is also drawn to Libra’s creativity and unique interests, often rooted in the arts or beauty. Leo enjoys the reciprocity in their interactions, as Libra constantly engages them in conversation, which provides validation and a sense of connection.
Libra’s friendliness and warmth resonate with Leo, and when they spend time together, they radiate positive energy, often attracting mutual friends. Libra’s ability to articulate things with grace fascinates Leo. While Leo exudes silent confidence, Libra’s communication skills teach Leo how to be charismatic with words. Libra provides Leo with social connections and communication that they crave, offering a balance to their larger-than-life presence.
Both Libra and Leo share a love for Venusian energy. They enjoy activities like visiting art shows, going to the movies, sitting in nature, or having a picnic by a body of water. Their shared interests and hobbies make it easy for them to relate and enjoy each other’s company. Leo finds that Libra consistently provides validation, fun, and enriching experiences.
Although Leo can be prideful, they appreciate that Libra’s humility keeps things balanced. Libra communicates in a way that isn’t forceful or aggressive, which allows Leo to maintain their powerful, dominant energy while being infused with the beauty, creativity, and charm that Libra brings to the table.
Scorpio Rising – Virgo
Virgos become obsessed with Scorpio Rising because Scorpio Rising is enigmatic. They’re hard to figure out, hard to understand, and as we know, Virgos are analytical and driven to understand everything. Anything they don’t understand sparks their curiosity, and Scorpio Rising’s mystery and allure draw them in. The Virgo energy is fascinated and hooked, wanting to uncover who this person really is and figure them out. This sense of mystery makes Virgo become even more obsessed with Scorpio Rising.
When it comes to communication, Virgo has a need to articulate their thoughts in a structured and organized way. They don’t talk just for the sake of talking, and Scorpio Rising shares that trait. Scorpio Rising doesn’t engage in conversation unless there’s a purpose or a genuine interest. There’s a certain structure to how Scorpio Rising communicates, just like there is for Virgo. Virgo appreciates this because it makes their conversations with Scorpio Rising feel purposeful, meaningful, and intentional, which draws them in even further.
Though Scorpio is often perceived as private and reserved, they have a wealth of knowledge. Scorpio Rising is a deep diver, and Virgo is detail-oriented and eager to understand every little aspect of something. Scorpio’s depth of wisdom and insight excites Virgo, who loves the details. The more Scorpio shares, the more Virgo learns and feels empowered by the new knowledge. Scorpio Rising’s intuition and emotional insight also sharpen Virgo’s own intuitive abilities, helping them see life from a new perspective they may not have focused on before.
Virgos, being introverted, need time alone to recharge and reflect, and Scorpio Rising shares this need. Both enjoy taking a step back to process and breathe, which intrigues Virgo. They feel a sense of connection in their shared need for solitude. The similarities in their introverted natures, along with their sharp differences, keep Virgo hooked, and as a result, they become increasingly obsessed with Scorpio Rising.
Sagittarius Rising – Aquarius
This pairing is interesting because both Aquarius and Sagittarius share a certain detachment. Aquarius is detached because they are often absorbed in their thoughts, intellectually focused. Sagittarius is detached because they’re driven by curiosity and the desire to explore different philosophies. Both are focused on accumulating knowledge and gaining new perspectives. This shared intellectual drive is why Aquarius becomes so obsessed with Sagittarius.
Sagittarius often shows up with knowledge that Aquarius would typically need to research. While Aquarius is used to digging through information online, talking to people, and looking up facts, Sagittarius sometimes just knows. They have a natural, philosophical understanding of things that intrigues Aquarius. Aquarius loves intellectual stimulation, and Sagittarius provides it effortlessly. The experiences Sagittarius has had and the patterns they’ve observed shape their unique way of thinking, which Aquarius finds fascinating.
Additionally, both Sagittarius and Aquarius value freedom, but they express it differently. While Aquarius may sometimes want to chill and live life more ordinarily, they have bursts of energy where they seek change and excitement. Sagittarius, on the other hand, always needs to satisfy their desire for freedom and exploration. They both share a drive for new experiences, which makes them feel in sync with one another. Aquarius is drawn to Sagittarius’ embodiment of freedom, as it resonates with their ideal of a free society.
Sagittarius also has a broad, philosophical view of life, constantly asking questions and pondering the future. This idealism and future-oriented thinking appeal to Aquarius, who is always focused on the future and big ideas. Despite their differences, like Sagittarius’ exuberance and bluntness compared to Aquarius’ more reserved, cool nature, the similarities between them draw Aquarius in. Sagittarius’ energy, excitement, and fun contrast with Aquarius’ colder demeanor, creating a dynamic where Aquarius becomes even more intrigued by Sagittarius.
Sagittarius’ ability to bring fun, laughter, and excitement into life melts the ice around Aquarius, warming them up. Sagittarius can talk endlessly, and Aquarius gets mentally stimulated by their conversations. This leads Aquarius to become deeply obsessed with Sagittarius and their adventurous, energetic way of moving through the world. Aquarius finds themselves drawn to follow Sagittarius, wanting to know what they’ll do next.
Sagittarius, however, is not one to stay in one place for long. They love to share their knowledge, but they’re always ready to move on to the next thing. Aquarius is fascinated by this, and it only deepens their obsession, as they want to follow and discover what Sagittarius will do next. The energy between them is magnetic, and that’s why Aquarius gets hooked and can become completely obsessed with a Sagittarius Rising.
Capricorn Rising – Scorpio
Scorpio becomes obsessed with Capricorn Rising because Scorpio is driven by their desire for transformation, and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, which represents long-lasting results. Transformation takes time, and Saturn forces Capricorn to work through challenges repeatedly until they learn and grow. This resonates with Scorpio, also ruled by Pluto, as they too must learn difficult lessons the hard way. Both Saturn and Pluto push Capricorn and Scorpio into deep, transformative experiences that most other signs don’t have to face.
Scorpio relates to Capricorn Rising’s struggles and admires their resilience. Even after facing challenges, Capricorn Risings continue to strive for success, self-respect, and personal growth. Scorpio shares this same drive, as they hold themselves in high regard and respect others who command respect. Capricorn Rising embodies this respect, which is what Scorpio finds so captivating. The ability of Capricorn Rising to endure hardships and emerge victorious speaks to Scorpio’s own strength, as Scorpio also endures and rises from difficult circumstances.
What Scorpio finds most attractive is Capricorn Rising’s ability to face adversity and still rise above it all. Scorpio sees their own power reflected in Capricorn, and when they’re around Capricorn Rising, they feel a heightened sense of energy and strength. This creates an almost magnetic attraction, and Scorpio becomes hooked on the Capricorn’s unwavering strength and resilience.
Additionally, Scorpio and Capricorn Rising both prefer a more reserved lifestyle. Scorpio enjoys a small, close-knit circle and dislikes loud environments and large social groups. Capricorn Rising shares this preference for privacy and low-key interactions. This mutual understanding creates a sense of comfort between them, as they both value privacy and keeping things low profile.
Scorpio’s obsession with Capricorn Rising intensifies when Capricorn is not around. Scorpio ruminates about what Capricorn might be doing, and their mind is constantly drawn back to them. Scorpio is fueled by intense passion, something Capricorn may lack. While Capricorn is ambitious and focused on achieving goals, Scorpio’s passion for life contrasts with Capricorn’s more grounded, practical approach.
What Scorpio finds compelling about Capricorn is the balance they bring. Scorpio tends to be very intense, and when they are around others who are equally intense, they can become overwhelmed and lose control. However, Capricorn is different. They are calm and composed, never allowing emotions to spiral out of control. When Scorpio feels the intensity building, Capricorn’s ability to stay grounded and shut down unnecessary drama helps to maintain balance.
Scorpio admires people who know how to hold their power and stand firm in their own presence, and Capricorn Rising does this effortlessly. This sense of stability and control draws Scorpio in, and they become captivated by Capricorn’s strength and self-assurance.
Aquarius Rising – Gemini
Aquarius Risings tend to stand out wherever they go. They have a unique, eccentric presence, and they don’t blend in or mesh with the crowd. There’s always something quirky or unusual about them. Aquarius Risings take pride in their individuality and relish their uniqueness, which is something that draws Gemini in.
Geminis love diversity and uniqueness. Their minds are constantly pulled in different directions, and they enjoy seeing variety and versatility in the world. This satisfies their curiosity and intellectual drive, as they constantly seek to understand things from different perspectives. Aquarius Risings captivate Gemini because they offer something new and different, providing an intellectual challenge.
Geminis are confident in their ability to understand people and situations, but Aquarius Rising is elusive and difficult to fully grasp. While Gemini can easily connect with others and engage in conversation, Aquarius Rising remains distant and hard to reach. This intrigues Gemini, as they enjoy the challenge of trying to figure out someone who isn’t easily understood.
When Gemini and Aquarius Rising interact, they have stimulating intellectual conversations and seem to share many commonalities, despite their differing perspectives. However, Aquarius Rising’s emotional detachment and reserved nature are unfamiliar to Gemini, who is used to a more engaging, lively energy. The contrast between them becomes a source of fascination for Gemini, and they find themselves drawn to the challenge of understanding the Aquarius.
Aquarius is a fixed sign, and once they lock in on something, they do so with focus and dedication. This creates a different type of intelligence that intrigues Gemini, who is often more scatterbrained and adaptable. Aquarius Rising’s ability to concentrate deeply on specific knowledge draws Gemini in, making them feel that Aquarius has a form of intelligence they don’t possess, which only adds to their fascination.
Both Aquarius and Gemini are not concerned with the present moment; instead, they are focused on the future. Aquarius Rising is constantly discussing future possibilities and plans, which excites Gemini. They feel energized by the Aquarius Rising’s vision of an ideal future and get hooked on the idea that they could be part of creating something big together.
The Aquarius Rising also offers a unique way of doing things, which Gemini finds captivating. Aquarius teaches Gemini new methods and approaches that they’ve never considered before, sparking Gemini’s curiosity and creativity. Gemini begins to rely on Aquarius as their source of new knowledge and insight, often turning to them for information or fresh perspectives.
Aquarius Rising, ruled by Uranus, is known for their chill, laid-back attitude. Gemini enjoys this relaxed energy because Aquarius is willing to listen to them talk endlessly without getting overwhelmed. At the same time, Aquarius seeks change and new experiences, which appeals to Gemini’s mutable nature. Gemini loves to adapt to change, and Aquarius brings that change into their life.
Over time, Gemini begins to feel like they need Aquarius Rising. The Aquarius provides the novelty and transformation that Gemini craves, and they feel drawn to them in a way they haven’t felt before. The more Gemini engages with Aquarius Rising, the more they become hooked, feeling that they need this person to continue bringing excitement and change into their life.
Pisces Rising – Cancer
Cancers become obsessed and deeply drawn to Pisces Risings for several reasons. First, both Cancer and Pisces Rising are highly emotional and intuitive, speaking the same language. They are both incredibly attuned to their emotions and rely on their instincts, connecting through their shared vibe-based energy. Cancer recognizes this telepathic connection and understands that Pisces Rising operates primarily on vibes, creating an organic and genuine connection when they begin talking. This mutual understanding allows both signs to feel immersed in the connection, knowing that it was chosen and felt naturally by both parties.
Cancer is drawn to Pisces because of their mutable, free-spirited nature. While Cancer can sometimes feel stuck in their shell, hesitant to venture outside of their comfort zone, Pisces is unafraid to move beyond what is familiar. Pisces, being ruled by Jupiter and Neptune, has an innate sense of freedom and fluidity, never staying in one place for too long. Cancer is mesmerized by this trait, feeling drawn to Pisces’ ability to flow freely through life without being confined by fear or limitation.
Moreover, Cancer admires the wisdom that Pisces seems to carry. Pisces Risings have a depth that Cancer finds appealing, seeing in Pisces the potential for growth and evolution. The softness of Pisces Rising also captivates Cancer, as it allows them to feel at ease. Pisces Risings are often artistic, creative, and spiritually attuned, which resonates deeply with Cancer’s own focus on the internal world, imagination, and spiritual connection. Together, they can exchange creativity and bounce ideas off each other, strengthening their bond.
Cancer enjoys the sense of comfort and trust they feel around Pisces, a bond that doesn’t need to be verbalized but is immediately accessible through their shared emotional energy. Both signs have a nurturing, gentle nature, making their connection feel easy and natural. There’s a soothing quality to their relationship, where they can simply exist together, connected on an emotional level without feeling any need to protect themselves.
Cancer also deeply values the wisdom Pisces offers. The Jupiter energy that influences Pisces gives them a broader, more philosophical perspective, while Cancer’s moon-ruled nature allows them to absorb life’s experiences, moving through the cyclical nature of existence with a deep understanding of how things evolve, begin, and end. While Cancer’s wisdom is rooted in their ability to empathize with life’s rhythms, Pisces has an intuitive grasp of spirituality and how it intersects with the material world. Together, they share a wealth of knowledge and can teach each other what the other may be missing.
Their imaginations complement each other beautifully, with Pisces offering a sense of freedom and fluidity, while Cancer brings a sense of comfort and coziness to the relationship. This exchange is a beautiful balance, one that Cancer finds unparalleled with anyone else. Pisces Rising brings a peaceful, ethereal energy into Cancer’s life, and this calm yet otherworldly presence hooks Cancer deeply, leaving them obsessed and unsure of what to do next.

REVENGE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: idol!virgin!soft dom!Jay x idol!virgin!brat!Isabella
Synopsis: Lately, Isabella has been ignoring Jay, which is pretty weird considering she usually loves messing with him until he’s absolutely furious. At first, he’s just confused, but when he finally figures out why she’s avoiding him, he realizes it’s the perfect chance to get back at her. And he’s not about to let it go to waste.
Warnings: virgin jay and isa, oral sex (f receiving), unprotected sex (pulling out before coming), bathroom sex
Old scenario
English is not my first language
Tumblr media
Lately, I’ve been getting familiar with cold showers. They’re known for their health benefits, but that’s not why I take them. Cold showers are also used to calm people down—especially when their urges become overwhelming. Like me. Right now.
I’m ovulating, and it’s driving me insane. The need is so intense that I might actually call an escort just to get some relief.
My ovulation periods have always been wild, but things got worse when I practically started living with a bunch of ridiculously attractive guys. And yet, despite being surrounded by them, my fixation is on Jay. When that started, I have no idea.
Jay and I have always had this bickering dynamic. I don’t hate him—if anything, I love to annoy him. Seeing that irritated expression on his face is pure entertainment. Pranking him is my specialty, and nothing amuses me more than watching him turn red with frustration when he realizes it was me. I laugh so hard my stomach hurts, and the moment he spots me, he yells my name before chasing me down.
Running while laughing? Impossible. He always catches me, pinning me down against whatever is closest—the floor, the wall—before tickling me until I can’t breathe.
It’s fun.
But not when I’m ovulating.
When he pins me down, holding my wrists above my head with one hand while tickling me with the other, my thoughts spiral into something else entirely. Something not-so-innocent.
That’s why, from the moment my ovulation started, I began avoiding him. No teasing, no pranks. I knew exactly where it would lead, and I didn’t trust myself to handle the consequences.
It’s late at night, and the boys are having a sleepover in our apartment. I can’t sleep—not with these thoughts clouding my mind—so I decide to take a cold shower, hoping it will help.
I step out of the tub, wrapping my bathrobe around me before opening the bathroom door—only to freeze.
A sharp gasp escapes my lips before I slap a hand over my mouth, as if that could undo what just happened.
Jay is standing right in front of me, his messy hair and relaxed posture making it clear he just got up. His hands are buried in the pockets of those gray joggers I hate—because he looks so damn good in them, and I would never admit it—but also love, because they fuel my fantasies about something I’ve never seen.
“Y-you scared me,” I stammer, lowering my gaze to the floor, unable to handle the intensity of his stare. The normal me would be mortified at how easily he’s intimidating me right now.
He doesn’t move. Doesn’t let me pass.
I shift to the side, hoping he’ll take the hint and enter the bathroom so I can leave, but he remains planted in place.
“Jay… are you okay?” I whisper, mindful of the others sleeping in the living room.
“Shouldn’t I be the one asking that?” he finally speaks, his voice low.
I swallow. “W-what do you mean?”
“Don’t play dumb.” His head tilts slightly, eyes narrowing. “You’ve been avoiding me. Did I do something wrong?”
His words make me tense. “Jay, can we talk about this later? The others are sleeping.” I try to keep my voice quiet.
He moves at last, but not the way I want. He steps toward me. Instinctively, I step back.
My breath hitches when he enters the bathroom, swiftly turning around to shut the door behind him.
“Jay—w-what are you doing?” My voice trembles, my pulse racing at the thought of being alone with him in a closed space while I’m barely dressed.
“You’re not leaving until you tell me what I did wrong,” he says, arms crossing over his chest.
I exhale sharply, playing with my fingers, eyes glued to the floor. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Then why have you been avoiding me?”
I open my mouth, but nothing comes out.
Jay steps closer.
“Stop,” I blurt, taking another step back. “D-don’t come near me. Please.”
His eyes search mine. “Why?”
I sigh, my shoulders dropping. It’s too awkward to tell him the truth. That I’ve been fantasizing about him. That’s why I’ve been keeping my distance.
“I’ve been… feeling weird lately,” I admit, barely above a whisper. “Especially around you.”
Jay watches me carefully. “What do you mean?”
I force myself to meet his gaze, inhaling deeply before confessing, “I’m ovulating.”
The second the words leave my mouth, I regret them. I shut my eyes, hating how vulnerable I feel.
Silence.
I peek through my lashes to find him smirking. His lips curl into that maddeningly smug grin, his expression laced with amusement.
“Are you masturbating to the thought of me?”
My breath catches. My whole body stiffens.
Jay steps forward, closing the distance between us inch by inch.
“Jay…” My voice is shaky, betraying my rising panic—and something else I refuse to name.
His gaze darkens with mischief. “Are you having nasty thoughts about me?”
I keep retreating until my back meets the sink. There’s nowhere left to go.
“Jay,” I breathe, barely able to get the words out. “D-don’t come any closer.” My hands lift instinctively, a feeble attempt to stop him.
His smirk only deepens. “Why?” His voice drops to a husky murmur. “I can help you. But you have to tell me exactly what you want.”
I stop breathing altogether.
“Jay.”
“Yes, Isabella?”
The way he says my name—slow, deliberate, seductive—sends a shiver down my spine.
He never calls me by my full name. Never.
It’s always Isa like the rest of the group. Or Bella, when he’s feeling playful.
But Isabella?
That’s new.
And it’s dangerous.
I feel wetness slowly dripping between my thighs as I instinctively press them together. My breathing is uneven, and before I even realize it, Jay has already closed the remaining distance between us.
His hands gently cradle my face, tilting it upward so our eyes meet. “Aw, look at you… so red,” he murmurs, his voice dripping with amusement. “It must be really hard, huh?” His smirk deepens, clearly satisfied with the effect he has on me. Now, it’s his turn to tease, to watch me squirm.
Annoyed, I slap his hand away. “S-stop playing with me,” I stammer, turning my head to avoid his gaze.
“Who said I was playing?” he counters, gripping my chin and forcing me to look at him again.
His voice is low, teasing, dripping with control. “Tell me… how can I help you?” His lips hover just inches from mine, and I know he’s enjoying every second of my struggle. He knows exactly what I want—he just wants to hear me beg for it.
“I-I need you,” I breathe, leaning in, desperate to close the distance between us. But he pulls back at the last second, his smirk widening. He loves this. Loves watching me writhe, loves making me desperate.
“What do you need me to do, Bella?” His voice is a taunt, a challenge.
I let out a shaky sigh, surrendering to the inevitable. “I need you to fuck me… please.” My voice is barely above a whisper, but it’s all he was waiting for.
His smirk turns predatory. “Took you long enough to say it,” he murmurs before crashing his lips against mine.
The kiss is messy, desperate—our first, but I don’t care. His hand slides down my back, pulling me against him as we devour each other, tongues tangling, teeth grazing. My hands grip the sink behind me, my knees weak, barely holding me up.
I’m already addicted—to the taste of him, to the way his lips move against mine, to the heat radiating from his body.
He pulls away, leaving us both breathless, but he doesn’t stop. His mouth moves to my neck, leaving a trail of open-mouthed kisses, sucking, teasing. A moan escapes my lips before I can stop it, and in embarrassment, I slap a hand over my mouth.
Jay halts immediately, his darkened gaze locking onto mine. He reaches up, prying my hand away. “Don’t hide those pretty little noises from me,” he murmurs.
His fingers move to the knot of my bathrobe, untying it with excruciating slowness before sliding the fabric off my shoulders. It pools at my feet, leaving me bare before him.
His eyes finally break away from mine, traveling down my body. I watch as his pupils dilate, his jaw tightening. His gaze is hungry, devouring every inch of my exposed skin—from my round breasts and hardened nipples to my wide hips and thick thighs.
I shiver as his fingertips ghost over my stomach, tracing a slow path upward until he cups one of my breasts. A soft groan escapes me at the sensation, and he watches, fascinated, as my chest rises and falls under his touch.
His thumb brushes over my nipple, rolling it between his fingers, sending a bolt of pleasure straight to my core. My thighs press together instinctively, desperate for friction.
“W-why are you acting like that? Haven’t you ever seen a—ahh—a woman’s body before?” My voice is shaky, my breaths uneven.
He smirks, his hands kneading my breasts, applying just the right amount of pressure. “No, I haven’t.” His voice is calm, but there’s something darker beneath it.
I let out a breathy chuckle. “Y-yeah, I… ahh… I kinda figured.”
His head tilts slightly, amused. “Oh?”
“You’re always so irritated,” I manage between gasps, my body arching into his touch. “I just assumed it’s ‘cause you’re a virgin… and you just needed to get fucked.”
He chuckles at my state—flustered, desperate, unraveling under his touch. But instead of responding, he pinches my nipples, drawing a strangled moan from my lips.
“I find it funny how you’re still being a brat,” he muses, “when I’m here to help you.”
Then, without warning, he leans down, capturing one of my nipples in his mouth. A sharp gasp leaves me as he sucks, his tongue flicking, teasing, driving me insane.
I’m losing myself in the pleasure, my body greedy for more. “You can play with my body another time,” I pant, barely able to form words. “Just hurry up and get this done before someone wakes up.”
Jay pulls back slightly, licking his lips, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “So… you’re planning on doing this again?”
Realizing what I’ve implied, I quickly look away. “Shut up and hurry up.”
He chuckles again, the sound deep and rich, before I feel his hands leave my breasts. When I glance down, my stomach tightens—he’s sinking to his knees, eyes never leaving mine.
A thrill of anticipation runs through me as he lifts one of my legs, placing it over his shoulder. My heart pounds when I realize how close his mouth is to my dripping heat.
“Y-you don’t have to do that,” I stammer. “Just go straight to—ahh!”
My sentence is cut short as his tongue flicks over my clit, a low groan vibrating against me. The sensation sends a shockwave through my body, making me moan.
What starts as soft, teasing licks quickly turns into a full-blown assault on my pussy. His tongue moves with precision, alternating between slow, sensual strokes and intense, desperate sucking.
“Jay~ ah! Jay~ ngh! Please!” I can’t control the words spilling from my lips, my head thrown back as pleasure overtakes me.
His grip tightens on my thigh as his tongue dips lower, teasing my entrance before sliding inside. His fingers replace his tongue on my clit, rubbing circles that have my legs trembling.
A wave of pleasure crashes over me, unlike anything I’ve ever felt. My fingers tangle in his hair, my hips moving against his mouth, desperate for more. “Fuck, it’s so good!”
Then, without warning, he slides two fingers inside me.
I cry out, the sudden intrusion sending a jolt of sharp pleasure through my core. He doesn’t wait for me to adjust—his fingers pump into me, curling, stretching, filling.
I’m overwhelmed, completely at his mercy, my walls fluttering around his digits. The coil in my stomach tightens, my breaths turning ragged.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” I chant mindlessly, gripping his hair harder as my body starts to tremble. The pressure builds higher and higher, an unstoppable force surging through me.
“Jay—ahh! I’m—I’m gonna—ngh!”
My orgasm crashes over me, violent and all-consuming. My body jerks, pleasure detonating in my veins as I come undone around his fingers.
But he doesn’t stop.
Instead, he continues—licking, sucking, fucking me through the aftershocks. My body twitches, my nerves overstimulated.
“Ja—Jay, stop, stop! I can’t take it anymore!” My voice is high, desperate, as I try to push his head away.
But he just smirks against me, completely ignoring my pleas.
Because Jay doesn’t give a fuck if we get caught.
Eventually, I stop feeling any movement inside me—the friction of his fingers, the warmth of his tongue on my clit. He withdraws his hand, and I hear the slick sound of him licking his fingers. My head is tilted back as I try to regain my senses, so I can’t see what he’s doing, but I can picture it in my mind. The thought alone sends a shiver through me.
Slowly, he stands, taking his time to admire my body. When I lift my head, I find his eyes locked onto mine.
"Where did you learn to do that?" I ask, struggling to believe he’s really a virgin after what he just did.
"YouTube tutorial," he replies, as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world, pulling down his joggers.
I watch, my gaze trailing down to where his erection strains against his boxers.
"Yeah, right," I scoff, rolling my eyes at his broken humor.
"I'm just naturally good at this," he says, his dark eyes never leaving mine as he slides his boxers down, revealing his thick, veiny length. My breath catches. How is that supposed to fit inside me?
"Wait, we don’t have condoms," I say, snapping back to reality as he steps closer, his bare chest now fully exposed. He’s fit—lean, toned, perfect.
"I’ll pull out before I cum," he assures me, positioning himself between my legs.
His gaze flickers down to my chest, rising and falling with my heavy breathing, before meeting my eyes again. He can tell I’m nervous. But I’m not scared—at least, not in the way he thinks. I’m more excited than anything, overwhelmed by the anticipation of something so unfamiliar.
"Do you want to keep going?" he asks, his voice softer now.
I swallow hard. "Yes. Keep going."
But he still doesn’t seem convinced, so I lean forward, capturing his lips in a deep kiss. When I pull away, I whisper again, more confidently this time, "Keep going."
"Alright, but this time, try not to be too loud—"
"Hey, you’re—"
Before I can finish, he presses forward, the thick head of his cock stretching me open.
"Ah," I gasp, my body instinctively clenching around him.
It hurts, of course—just like any girl's first time—but the need for him overshadows the pain.
"Does it hurt?" Jay groans, his voice strained as if he’s holding himself back.
"Just a little, but I’m fine. Keep going."
He sinks deeper, my walls fluttering helplessly around him. I bite my lip hard, my gums aching from how tightly I clench my teeth.
A low, guttural moan escapes him. "Can you—ah… can you try not to clench so much?" His eyes remain shut, his brows furrowed as if he's using every ounce of willpower to keep himself together.
"S-Sorry, I-I can’t control it… but I’ll try."
He pushes in further, stretching me open inch by inch. The more he fills me, the harder it is to breathe.
By the time he’s fully inside me, I can feel his cock twitching slightly, making me clench around him even more. His breath is shaky against my ear as he wraps one arm behind my back, pulling me closer while his other hand keeps my leg hooked around his waist.
We stay like this for a moment, giving me time to adjust—or maybe giving him time to focus, to keep from losing control too soon.
I feel his warm breath ghosting over my skin. "Jay… y-you can start moving now," I murmur, my hips rocking unconsciously to create some friction.
Instead of answering, he straightens, his arm still bracing my back as he slowly thrusts forward.
"Ah," I moan, louder than I intended, before quickly covering my mouth.
I try to stay quiet, but it’s impossible. The way he moves—the way he fills me—makes it feel too good. Too good.
"Fuck, you’re clenching so much," he groans, voice tight with restraint.
"Mmnh… fuck, fuck, fuck," I whimper under my breath.
Jay suddenly lifts my other leg, leaving me completely at his mercy. The new angle makes him reach deeper, thrusting faster, harder, hitting a spot inside me that makes it absolutely impossible to keep quiet.
"Jay! Jay!" I whimper, feeling an intense, familiar pressure building deep in my core.
"Yes, Bella," he groans, voice raw, his thrusts growing more desperate. His cock twitches inside me.
"Don’t stop—I’m going to cum~" I cry, my walls spasming violently around him.
"Fuck—I-I’m not planning on stopping, Bella," he rasps, pounding into me a few more times before I shatter around him, pleasure crashing over me in waves.
My body shakes from the intensity, but he doesn’t stop—he keeps fucking me through it, chasing his own release.
"J-Jay—too m-much," I whimper, my body twitching from overstimulation.
"I—I know, I’m sorry. I’m about to cu—ah—ah," he groans, pulling out at the last second.
His breath stutters as he strokes himself frantically, his release spilling hot and thick across my stomach. His head drops against my shoulder, both of us struggling to catch our breath.
"Do you still think my dick is small?" he asks after a moment, a teasing smirk creeping onto his face.
"Yes. Very much," I lie, refusing to feed his ego.
He chuckles, lifting his head. "Ngh, so big," he mimics, tilting his head with a playful smirk. "Isn’t that what you said?"
"Shut up," I mumble, smacking his arm lightly, making him laugh.
Suddenly, he hooks his hands under my thighs, lifting me effortlessly.
"What are you doing?" I yelp.
"We’re taking a shower," he says simply, carrying me toward the bathroom.
Once inside, he sets me down gently before turning on the water. The warm spray cascades over us as he grabs a washcloth, squirting body wash onto it before rubbing it across my skin, cleaning away the sweat and the mess he left on my stomach.
His touch is slow, deliberate, almost tender. And as he moves the cloth over me, I can’t help but think—I never expected this from him.
And yet, I never want it to stop.

So, this week's episode...

Writer!Ink: "..And Frankie said that Beeg4 claimed the playground right before they did." Producer!Ink: "Wow, it's going to be hard to go against Beeg. I mean, this is the kid known to start fights with other kids to get what he wants, like that one time with the ice cream." Writer!Ink: "Actually, it's going to be super easy. Barely an inconvenience." Producer!Ink: "Oh, really?" Writer!Ink: "Yeah, because Zach is just going to poke Beeg with a stick and that should pretty much do it."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Producer!Ink: "If only we could do that irl... but wait, if they're in their imaginary world, could the stick be a stand-in for a sword or weapon in general? I mean, it was the same stick they used to execute that guy." Writer!Ink: "Well, sir, we're already pushing boundaries on what YouTube is allowing Glitch Productions to do. We're already doing the Knights of Guinevere and, with Dana Terrace and TOH team onboard, there's not enough in the budget to show a kid getting stabbed even though it's pretend." Producer!Ink: "Oh yeah, YouTube will definitely going to kick our ass for that. We got away with it last time with Terrence." Writer!Ink: "Also, death is sometimes not real." Producer!Ink: "...What?"
...let's just move on
sad moment for Beeg for sure, but I just like how he rolls around like that
Tumblr media
Swag, my dude, no....
Tumblr media
that was cute for Swag to call Beeg little buddy
EGGDOG NOOO (well, they are kids, they probably didn't realize how much it's affecting Beeg, even if it's pretend)

Tumblr media
Swag, you're so dead. RIP already to you dude
(also weird how in the same week, the fandom found out that Kevin was going to be in a boxing tournament, huh...)
that R roll though, hold onnnnn
i really do love the switch between their game of pretend and irl
using a HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL GOVERNMENT DEVICE on CHILDREN in a PLAYGROUND....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
huh *sweats nervously* this isn't new, very on-brand for Swag to do, but... oh god they read my episode concepts /silly
honestly that's a good question Karen, finally someone says it

OH SHIT GET THE KIDS KAREN
F in the chat for Swag o7 (ik he's not dead)
Tumblr media
WOAH WOAH WOAH HOLD UP NONONONONO TEAM YOU CAN'T JUST DROP THAT ON US! ON ME!
oh fuck dude, that just slapped me across the face. "Reckless and chaotic", huh? WHO THE HELL IS THE KIDS' BIO FATHER? For all we know, this guy might be dead. divorce is an option, sure, but the way Swag's sacrifice caused a lot of destruction...
the implications, guys... i can't believe this...
ANYWAY Beeg4's little hops 💙 like father, like son
andddd Swag's not dead, i knew it. and in the sky just like Old Man who's also not dead btw :)
Congrats to choripandia for your art being featured in the credit 🎉 love the art, dude
Tumblr media
.・-: ✧ :--: ✧ :-・.
omg... what an episode! This has been fantastic, honestly!!! Everything from the plot to the animation, all of it was SOOOO GOOD. It's crazy and wacky and I love it! It featured side characters the whole time, love those kinds of changes! and we got character backstories which WOAH that was a nice surprise :D
AND AND i get a dose of the Mini Crew? HELL YEAH
this has been phenomenal and I truly think this might lead to something. Aside from the imagery the Team likes to tease me and goop!4 theory with, this could lead to an arc, likely on Karen. A non-Mr.Puzzles arc, I'm all for it.
(and y'know me I would've called it the most non-Puzzles Puzzles arc potential of all times, that doesn't seem that it's linked to Puzzles in any way but it could be brought back bc character development. after all, Karen is linked to Marty, Puzzle Park, and the corporation and Swag to episodes related to IGBP. but for our sakes, let's not have Puzzles this time, it'll be a very creative challenge for the Team)
If there's no arc, that is totally fine! I am more than happy to just have more episodes like this without it being in an arc. not necessarily non-plot relevant bc of the corporation and Karen's mystery husband. it's still insane that the Team dropped that in for us and Swag's backstory like that. Amazing job, truly.
Now I know some people might've been confused about Mario being in the thumbnail and not in the episode. I get it really. According to Ben, he didn't see the episode itself until after its release and this thumbnail was what the Team sent him to do. It's crazy ik, but do understand that they're working on a tight schedule.
Take it from me: I work as a major editor for a publishing group (that i'm not going to specify) and we have to release a new thing every two weeks. It's not of "one team works on this and then passes it on to the next" like a factory production line. All teams are working at the same time and have to deliver at the same time, regardless of the amount they were given in the first place. And there are times when something's missing, we have to improvise (but still maintain good quality) just so we could meet the deadline. Even if we have good communication with each other.
Obviously for the SMG4 Team, they have a lot of things going on in their lives, other projects to work on, timezones to get through, and yet they still have the moment for this show. Perhaps when Ben was sent the request, they planned to have Mario in the episode but the writers (Aaron, Paul, and Wiz) decided to write him out. Who knows? Just imagine doing a thumbnail and then the group chat tells you to make a different one quickly before they release it. Plus, his computer is holding on by a thread from all the rendering, poor Ben
i know how that feels, man 😔 there goes my program crashing
For what it's worth, it's okay, the episode was still great. Thanks as always, Team. Anyway guys, that's all I have to say for now, really enjoyed nice little distraction. And remember: numbers go first!
I'll see you all next time!!! 💙

Just want to take a moment to congratulate you on 500 followers! You absolutely deserve it and more! I love your ideas and your writing. Can I request a blurb with a headstrong reader who is always used to fixing things herself but Billy just wants to take care of her? I like the idea of PA reader, kinda like Donna & Harvey in Suits! Maybe something like reader gets “stood up” by an Anvil client whose interest in you got Billy clear on how he feels and jealous on someone else seeing your worth?
I used to love Suits... but I never finished watching it so I don't know what happened with the whole Darvey situation but I LOVED their dynamic in the first few seasons of the show (and also just how weird and awkward it was when Max Beesley's character was going out for Donna for a while). So, yeah, this was definitely fun to write and I hope I've managed to catch enough of the awesome Donna energy in the reader character here! (Also now I'm going to have to start watching Suits again)
Don't Have to Say You Love Me
Pairing : Billy Russo x Reader
Story Rating : M
Warnings : [This is 18+ only, minors DNI] Smutty behaviour.
You placed his coffee and lunch down in front of him, immediately drawing his attention upwards.
"Is that —"
"A large flat white and a toasted BLT with extra sauce," you said, knowing full well how he liked to take his lunch on a Friday. By this point you were almost offended that he dared to ask.
"And have you got —"
"The research on the Collins account and the two government contracts Senator Williams wants to discuss," you interrupted as you pulled three files from beneath your arm and placed them down.
His eyes narrowed on you, mind obvious racing, trying to find something you hadn't thought of.
"What about —"
"Yes, I've had someone from maintenance fix the AC in the meeting room because I know you don't like having the Senator in your office around the good scotch."
Everything was sorted. Everything he could possibly ask of you, and he knew why — he was just waiting for you to say it. You didn't want to have to say it, because you knew exactly what his reaction would be.
But you knew Billy Russo. You knew how fucking stubborn he could be.
It'd probably amuse him to keep you standing there all day like a lemon.
After a few seconds you let out a huff.
"You do remember that I'm leaving early today, right?" You asked, drawing attention to the elephant in the room.
You weren't even sure why Billy was so annoyed that you'd gone and gotten yourself a date — he was stringing along half the women in New York, so why did it matter that you'd finally found someone who was interested in you?
"Right, how could I forget?" He said and you could hear the disdain in his voice. "I still can't believe you're going out with Thompson."
"Why not?" You asked, really not in the mood for his snarky behaviour. You both knew each other better than that.
"He just so —"
"Rich?" You offered. "Handsome? British?"
"Boring. He's not right for you, he doesn't deserve you."
You rolled your eyes. "And what would you know about what's right for me, Billy?"
The question was met with the expected silence. You'd long since given up on any fancy notion of him actually seeing you or admitting to the undeniable tension that had permeated your relationship since you first started working for him years ago.
What had once been a will they, would they, could they, had be stamped with a big red absolutely not by him and his inaction.
"Enjoy your date," he said, like he was driving the final nail into the coffin.
You couldn't remember exactly what you told him as you left his office, but it didn't matter. The pair of you argued, you always had. You'd made it clear from the start that, just because you were his PA, you weren't there to take any of his shit. You did your job and you were damned good at it — he was lucky to have you, lucky that you still wanted to work for him when there were so many other firms that would love to have you.
But you were loyal if you had one fault. Endlessly loyal when it came to Anvil and when it came to Billy Russo.
The one thing you weren't, however, was an idiot. Davis Thompson was funny, charming and rich, and sure, you might have met him through work, but you at least owed it to yourself to see where it would go.
And, where it went, as it turned out, was absolutely nowhere.
You'd been stood up before — you were a big girl, getting snubbed by a man who couldn't even bother to text was not going to end your world. (Though it might give you the urge to key his car the next time he had a meeting at Anvil.)
You got to the bar early, and you waited.
And waited.
You ordered yourself a drink, and you waited.
You gave up on him showing, but you decided to have another glass of wine because, why not? And, while you were making bad decisions, you decided to add another to the list and text Billy.
Don't go getting smug, but you were right.
It took less than a minute for his reply to come through.
He bored you that much already?
You found yourself smiling, even as you rolled your eyes.
Didn't even show up.
Despite feeling somewhat embarrassed, you knew that Billy wasn't on the other end of the phone laughing at you. He wasn't like that. Not when it came to you. (He was probably planning on keying Thompson's car too now.)
You put your phone down on the bar and ordered another drink, only half-surprised when it didn't buzz with another message from Billy. It was fine. It was Friday, he was probably busy on a date of his own. You had your wine, you were happy, you'd maybe have one more, then —
"Well, here I am. What are your other two wishes?"
In any other circumstances the bad pick-up line would have had you seriously considering throwing your drink, but you recognised the voice immediately and before you could even turn your head, Billy Russo was sitting at the bar beside you.
"Please tell me you've never used that line on a woman you actually wanted to sleep with," you said, barely biting back a laugh.
"I have," he answered, waving down the bar tender and ordering a glass of what you were drinking.
"And did it work?"
"I'll let you know at the end of the night."
"Oh, ha ha, very funny." You rolled your eyes. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Thought you might want some company since Thompson was a no-show."
For a few seconds you were willing to accept his answer, but it didn't exactly hold up under scrutiny.
"I text you literally five minutes ago; how did you get here so quick?" You asked, eyes narrowing.
"I was in the neighbourhood?"
He almost looked sheepish, embarrassed even, and you had no idea why. A dusting of pink spread across his cheeks and, for a second, he could barely even look at you.
"Okay, what the fuck is going on?" And, then when he looked at you, you felt an unsettling feeling in you gut. "What did you do?"
You'd always been good at reading him, at seeing right through him. And, right then, he had the look of a guilty man struggling to explain himself.
"Don't get angry —"
"Don't ask me not to get angry if you're going to say something that makes me angry, Billy," you warned.
He took a drink. "I might have cancelled your date —"
"You did what?"
Un-fucking-believable.
Actually, no. It was entirely fucking-believable. And that was what pissed you off the most. He'd ruined your date because of — what? Some selfish sense of jealousy and entitlement, because if he didn't want you, no one else should.
You start to move, standing only to find his fingers on your wrist.
"Wait —" he started, almost sounding panicked.
"I did wait, Billy," you said, admitting far more than you ever wanted to. "I waited for years. For you. And what were you doing? Fucking half of New York."
It was the first time you'd dared utter anything of the sort aloud, the first time either of you had openly admitted to the unspoken, unacted-upon feelings between you.
You tugged against his grip on you, but Billy held tight as you struggled against him.
"Let me go," you said.
"No," Billy answered, getting to his feet, standing in front of you. "I'm not letting you go again."
Before you could even think to question what the fuck he meant, his lips were on yours and your whole world seemed to come to a screeching halt. For a few sweet seconds, you were frozen, indulging in something you'd barely allowed yourself to dream about, but how could you trust it? How could you trust him when he was only kissing you because he'd been jealous, because he'd thought you were finally going to find happiness with someone else.
You pulled back from the kiss, enough to see the flicker of hurt in his eyes and the worry on his face.
"This better not be a game, Billy," you warned him. "I'm not one of your girls that you can pick up and drop whenever you —"
He cut you off with another kiss, his arm winding around you waist and pulling you against him. And you let him. You allowed yourself to melt into the warmth of his body, you fingers gripping his shirt at his waist, just beneath his jacket.
"No more games," he muttered against your lips. "I can't lose you. I won't. I'm sick of pretending that I don't want you — that I don't love you."
Your heart stuttered, knowing the weight that that word bore for Billy. He'd never used it when talking about any of the other women, and you knew it wasn't the sort of thing he'd say without meaning it.
Still, you couldn't bring yourself to say it back. Not yet, not when some part of you still ached over his treatment of you.
"Take me home," you said, daring to hope that this wasn't just some pipe dream that would vanish the moment he'd had you in his bed.
Not that you made it as far as his bed.
He'd taken you by the hand a pulled you out of the bar, into the cold New York air — his car was park a block over, it should have been a quick, short walk if it hadn't been for you pulling him back for another kiss. Then, before either of you could think, you found yourself in an alleyway, pressed back against a wall as Billy kissed you.
Years of tension quickly came to the fore, your fingers gripping his jacket, his shirt, his hair — anything you could get hold of, anything you could use to keep him close. And all the while, he kissed you. You couldn't get enough of him.
Things quickly reached boiling point, your fingers tugging at the fastenings of his pants while he lifted your dress. There was no slow build, no teasing foreplay, once you'd freed his cock, you found yourself lifted and —
"Fuck," you moaned against his lips, "fuck, fuck, fuck — Billy."
He buried himself inside you in a single fluid movement, stopping when every inch of him was hilted.
His forehead pressed against yours as you both stilled, already breathless, and both entirely overwhelmed.
"Billy," you said in a low whine, your fingers gripping his hair.
His eyes opened and he looked at you through the gloom of the alley.
"I love you," he said softly, like he'd finally realised the gravity of the situation.
He started to move with slow but deep thrusts, not quite making love to you, but doing all he could to show you that this meant something. He alternated between kissing your lips and your neck, and you found yourself leaning into his every touch as pleasure started to coil inside you.
Your legs tightened around his waist, keeping him close, never wanting to let him go. And when you came it was with four little words.
"I love you too."

-- ❤️: Favorite character?
Arven. Hands down. The last character that I've loved and resonated with on this level was Hau back in Gen 7, and it takes a lot to even come close to matching that. Like, I love how many layers there is to him as a character, because while you would've expected him to be the resident asshole (a la Gladion and Bede), he turns out to be such a sweet, gentle, and sentimental guy. He was very much going through it with all the shit he was put through, and I can relate deeply to how he thinks more with his heart than his head, how he struggles to communicate with and read other people, and how much he cares about those close to him on the inside. I love him to death, and he'll go down as one of my favorite characters in all of fiction.
-- ⭐️: Favorite Team Star member?
Honestly a pretty tough choice, since there's a good bit to like about all of them, but I think Giacomo is the most compelling to me. I think his design is kickass, I admire how chill he is, and his background as the former student council president is very compelling. (Funny how two of Arven's more well known ships are with student council presidents of some shape or form)
-- 0️⃣: Favorite DLC character?
Listen, this one was a pretty hard choice between the siblings, but I might actually have to say Carmine. Like, I really didn't like her that much at first, and that was mainly because the way she treated Kieran sometimes hit a little too close to home. The way she bad talk or embarrass him in front of the player, the only real friend he made at that point, the way she brushed off some of his feelings as "teenage angst" and just him being emotional, some other stuff... It felt like a spitting image of how my brother used to treat me up until my second semester of high school. Later on though, you can see how she genuinely concerns for her brother, and realizing how she took him for granted in some ways, she comes back around exactly how my brother did. There's definitely a good few more layers to her beyond this, but all in all, she's such a well and realistically written older sibling, and I love her for that.
-- 💥: Favorite Gym leader/Elite four?
Kofu. I love his "fun uncle" energy, and he never fails to put a big fucking grin on my face whenever he's onscreen. I want to give him a hug.
-- 📝: Opinion on each of the Zero Crew? (Arven, Penny, Nemona)
Arven - I think I already said as much as I needed to before.
Penny - She didn't click with me as much as she apparently did for a lot of other people, but I really adore her and what she stands for as a character. I love how well she connects with others like Team Star even despite her introverted nature.
Nemona - Oh boy, where do I begin with you? I've said it before, but I love how she puts her own spin on the obligatory rival trope where instead of trying to be better than the player, she trains the player up to become as strong as she truly is so she can have someone to rival her strength in battle. Even besides that, she's just such a lovable character in her own ways. I adore her enthusiasm, I think her overzealousness can be funny, and she's just the kind of character you just love to love
Also, whether you ship them or just see them as friends, I don't think her dynamic with Arven is appreciated enough. Early on, they do bicker a lot, and he does claim that they "can't get along", but you can tell that she cares about him unconditionally by the way that she shows concern for his wellbeing in her first phone call. Furthermore, Arven even considered going to Nemona for help with the titans before you came along, and actually softens up on her in Area Zero when realizing how much more there is to her as a person. They still butt heads a little in the postgame, but you can tell they're getting along better by the way Nemona implies they've been talking more when bringing up Arven's suggestion for the tournament's name. I could go on for a while longer about this, but all in all, they have better chemistry than a lot of people realize.
-- 🌲: Opinion on the Kitakami siblings?
Carmine - I think I said all that I needed to before.
Kieran - Honestly such a nicely written character. I love his character arc, and as a younger sibling who was also kinda kicked around a lot, I can relate to him in some ways myself. I do like how he's sort of this subtle antagonist though, because Kieran was more or less the catalyst for literally everything that went wrong in the DLC. He was the reason the Loyal Three got revived and antagonized Ogerpon, he created a toxic environment within the League Club, and he awoke and enraged Terapagos. Like, sure, he didn't have these evil schemes and shit like Giovanni and Ghetsis, but in terms of what he was willing to do or risk for his own fulfillment, was he any different from characters like Volo or Lusamine? It's just more understandable and forgiveable in his case because he's just a kid and wasn't nearly as far gone, since he came right back around towards the end.
-- 🫐: Opinion on the BB league members?
I can't say too much for each of them individually other than Drayton, because he's the only one they did all that much with. I do like him in particular most out of the rest for how much smarter he is than he lets on and the layers he has to his character. Crispin is my second favorite of the bunch because I like his passionate energy and love for cooking, plus his blatant crush on Lacey is adorable. Speaking of, Lacey is adorable, and I kinda wish she clicked with me the same way she seemed to with a lot of others. Amarys is... Amarys. I don't want to say I disliked her, but she just isn't interesting to me as a character in the slightest. I think her design is cool, though that's really about all I can say.
-- ⏱️: Favorite Paradox Pokemon?
Penis Dragon Miraidon. The design is so fucking cool, the type combo is one I like, and I admire how both it and Koraidon have more of an established character in the story than any other box legendaries do. The closest we had to anything like it before was Nebby.
-- 💛: Favorite Paldean Pokemon?
God, that's a tough one because there's a good few that I actually really like.
I think I'm gonna have to say the Pawmot line. I like that it actually has an evolutionary line like Pikachu does, unlike the other pikaclones, and all of the designs for it are fucking adorable. I also love how stupidly busted Pawmot is against any pokemon that isn't a ground type.
-- 📖: Favorite storyline? (Ex: Mochi mayhem, Starfall street)
The Way Home. I love how it brings all three of the game's stories into one, gives such a solid introduction to Area Zero, concludes Arven's story arc, and establishes a fellowship betwixt yourself and your three friends. It's fitting that Toby Fox had a hand in this storyline's soundtrack and motifs, because it reminds me a lot of how everything was sort of tied together towards the end of Undertale's pacifist route. (Doesn't help the final boss has glowing blue eyes)
-- 🗣️: Anything you want to say about SV?
As a game, it's certainly not perfect, but in terms of damn near everything else, this might just be one of the best things to come out of Pokemon as a whole. I wish the game had more time in the oven so its flaws could be ironed out and so some people wouldn't have as much reason to drag it through the mud.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is easily the biggest hyperfixation I've had in years, and I'm honest to god surprised it's stuck with me this long. Then again, this series has been a part of my life for literally as long as I can remember, so what can I say?

scott smajor saying " 'Grian and Scar are siblings' ? Incorrect, Grian and Scar are an old married couple that have divorced once and then got back together. You can't tell me I'm wrong. Like they're the ones who got married, learned they kinda hate each other, but then actually got better when they split and realized they've grown as people and decided to give it another shot. And sometimes Grian regrets it."

ILOVETHEYMIGHTBEGIANTSILOVETHEYMIGHTBEGIANTSILOVETHEYMIGHTBEGIANTSILOVETHEYMIGHTBEGIANTS
I really enjoy Flowey and Papyrus’ relationship, and honestly don’t find any interpretation of it as extremely offensive cause IT IS REALLY WEIRD Some people are like Forgettable AU and others are like Flowey Is Not A Good Life Coach ITS QUITE A SPECTRUM- and those are my 2 favorite Undertale fan creations so YIPPEE!!! I do not support the creator of Flowey Is Not A Life Coach btw- i found out about their other fics like months after I finished it
I think this song does it justice in the VIBE and the constant “im your friend, but im not really your friend, well actually im your only friend” LIKE THATS SO THEM NO MATTER WHAT INTERPRETATION YOU FOLLOW
im definitely gonna TRY to make at least a whole storyboard/animatic (i have no problem showing the whole plan i had cause ITS DEFINITELY OUTDATED I MADE IT A YEAR AGOEDHHDSHB)
lastly, proof that I used to fucking love they might be giants (and still do) (and that i have been thinking about this with an undertale amv for a while)

@fegafegafega :
Yet, their relationship does feel forced because of the lack of proper buildup to make their relationship have more emotional weight as I said in this post. I don’t like that it feels so casual and less serious given the multiple reasons that I’ve listed. It would’ve served the narrative better if there was more of a follow-up to the upsetting tone set at the end of season 2. I wouldn’t have felt so off with the season’s opening and wasted time being angry about it. I said in multiple other posts that the dialogue (not specifically) between them and about their relationship doesn’t feel earned because they’re telling instead of showing, even if I can feel Mark’s genuine affection for her all throughout the series so far. Eve and their relationship was far too sidelined especially last season for many viewers to truly believe what Amber and Eve talked about in the cafe in 303. There was some tension, I felt it, but it wasn’t enough for me to accept that conversation without question. I did not want to be annoyed watching their scenes the first few times but I was because of these very reasons. I just want their relationship to have more depth and given more room to breathe, and most importantly given MORE CHEMISTRY as you can absolutely write already established characters with an established relationship to have it and my suggestions could aid that specific complaint (character chemistry is described sometimes as the tension, energy, and audience engagement two or more characters have with each other; one is always reacting genuinely to the other, playing off one another).
Also, Mark and Eve are actually entwined not only by the narrative but literally by the universe it seems as even in alternative dimensions, there’s romantic undertones between their counterparts and with the Future Eve scene no matter how much they try to make sense of it and be ashamed and dismiss it, it goes to show how significant their connection is to each other. There’s even more to support my perspective from the comics but that’s spoiler territory.
I honestly appreciate more and more the way they got them together, however the main reason they feel so casual together is because of the lack of exploration of what their dynamic truly entails on many fronts including serious conflict resolution with inevitable struggles between two flawed people, they can’t help but be drawn to each other. That’s what I wanted more of. It doesn’t matter if either of them have been through enough, people will do what they do best which is mess up and underperform despite themselves.
“Your criticism for Eve is kinda like ‘she’s too mature let’s make her more insecure and irrational for the sake of drama.’ Have Eve be wary of Mark not only because of the future Eve dilemma but also because she’s been cheated on before why exactly? There’s no indication that Mark would ever cheat, and Eve has never been written as someone who projects her past onto others. Why should Eve feel guilt for having feelings for Mark? Amber and Mark are done. Amber isn’t in love with him anymore.”
For the sake of drama, yes, and also cohesion to what they already established with the character. I don’t mean projecting her past onto others, I mean making Eve confront her own past experiences with the men in her life up until Mark, that way it’ll be easy to see how she can appreciate the role Mark has in her life even more.
Regardless of whether or not Eve should feel guilt about it, there’s friendships and feelings involved. Mark and Amber had lots of love for each other and a break-up they struggled to come to making a decision on but I can believe them accepting it eventually and being okay moving on from each other, even if three months seem a little too short they can recognize it was for the best. There was time to heal but I didn’t see it all too much and wasn’t allowed to feel it or given more time to emotionally adjust to Eve and Mark being together even as someone who’s been hoping Amber and Mark would break up permanently from season 1.
“But the part I really don’t like that you said was saying, ‘Eve is way too healthy of a communicator…’ It’s so rare to see a female character in a superhero show who actually talks about her emotions and sets boundaries, and somehow you’re like you don’t like it cos it’s not messy enough?? And lastly A love triangle? For what?? A love square? Why?? A love pentagon? WHY?! Again loved the rant!”
It is not rare for a female character to do any of that, it’s rare for it to actually be respected by the narrative, which it has been so far. However, with someone with a tragic childhood and persistent stressors as the one Eve does have, letting her be a little more understandably messy (yet still being the chill Eve we know) would add more charm to her role as the main female lead outside Debbie. I enjoyed her arc in the second season, her having her own struggles that affect primarily her relationship with Mark and the plot (her being the co-protagonist in a way to Mark) would strengthen her writing and make her and their relationship less vulnerable to accusations of being boring and disengaging. It would be more nuanced and compelling, alongside her new goal of becoming an architect/engineer this season. Overall, I just want more quality character work for this powerhouse girly specifically.
eve talks, thinks, and acts too much like a psychology major. thanks, britta perry.
beware: rant below
the teenaged romantic relationships are not messy enough to be interesting. there’s a fine line among annoyingly boring - messy - and annoyingly messy. invincible, write your characters like fucking humans. they talk way too much with each other in a healthy way, there’s a lack of emotion that makes it feel bland. sure, we didn’t need cheating but i need more of an actual portrayal of complicated feelings among the cast. not just telling us, the audience, that it’s complicated. maybe it’s nice to the writers in contrast to amber and mark’s relationship to have a relationship without true obstacles to overcome, who just fit perfectly together. however, mark and amber were compelling with chemistry because their interactions related to one of the central themes and was tense because of external conflicts they had to face head on, and not just talk through. plus, they had chemistry because they got along among other reasons, so you get the sense in another life they’d still be together which hits harder and sits with you better.
another thing, mark and eve don’t just work as a couple because they’re superheroes. this was the perfect time to demonstrate the dynamic the two will have, to sell them as a couple worth screentime and ultimately endgame. it’s obvious as fuck the show is written around the two to be together from eve’s special, to their parallels, similar values and goals, and the fact that the audience could catch onto their chemistry that was apparent from the first season (and shockingly lacking later). mark and amber never felt like endgame to me yet them having more chemistry, tension, and intrigue so far is frustrating. (yes, I know their story is complete but imagine if mark and eve weren’t portrayed as teens just casually trying to date each other like they are in the third season. their feelings for each other do not feel profound at all as i feel it should be and like they’re truly destined and that a force they can’t truly comprehend brings them together blah blah blah. like they’re truly birds of a feather who understands one another on a whole other level. it’s so fucking wack.)
explore more of mark’s melancholy that his last relationship ended because he didn’t want his gf to get hurt. show more of mark’s avoidance of eve and him being nervous and reserved around her but also evidently contemplative and wistful. show more of their attraction to each other.
show more of eve’s reasonable understanding of healthy boundaries but also her disappointment in mark avoiding her, feeling insecure about it (because the one who should be insecure about stuff like this should be eve, who has dated a serial cheater as her first love). have eve be wary of mark not only because of the future eve dilemma that wasn’t even that big a deal unfortunately, so wack, such a missed opportunity but also because she’s been cheated on before, and that her dad does not like her so she’s insecure about her taste in men and doesn’t know why mark would like her. have them tiptoe around the other but make the tension palpable, not played almost entirely for comedy and quickly resolved with barely a microcosm of interpersonal conflict. have eve feel guilt when she confronts her feelings for mark, mainly because she’s friends with amber and mark too! show eve is way too healthy of a communicator and it freaks me out. she doesn’t even have to be completely like her comic counterpart, just make her feel young and human like they all were in the first and second season, making mistakes and acting on impulses.
build up the emotion to where when important beats happen, it feels significant and satisfying. like them getting together for the first time, or kissing, dating, making love etc. that way we as an audience connect with them more on an emotional level when something bad happens hint hint and it won’t feel like you’re trying to force it out of me. make us want to root for them and not lazily put them together based on a history the two share that wasn’t even mainly focused on in favour of another love interest. make us understand truly why they want and love each other instead of making it feel as casual as it does.
i would’ve loved a semi-love triangle/square/pentagon with mark, amber, eve, rex, and/or rae. anything to spice things up!
