If you've seen my last post, i said there I assigned John, Arthur & Oscar as the sun moon and star

I wish ive been more creative with how i incorporate the star symbols on my Oscar's design but it's okay I can always do another redesign :3

Stars symbolize hope, destiny and guidance. Which SCREAMS Oscar doesn't it? Oscar being Arthur's hope?? Guidance?? Im so ill

I can't decide whether I want to assign the daffodil or blue iris to oscar bc both flowers is so him!!!! For now he gets blue irises. I'll draw him with daffodils next time ofc

You may have noticed the ring he's wearing. well apparently a ring on the middle finger symbolizes life purpose!! I drew Oscar with a ring with the moon symbol...im sure by now you know which character that symbol represents (its arthur)

My Oscar is definently going to have a redesign soon as im not fully content with this design. Im thinking maybe embroided star symbols on his garb... Can this kind of garb have embroidery? Bc i literally have not seen it have any sort of pattern /genq

something people just don’t think about is how often chronically ill and disabled people just don’t have access to good food. not healthy food, good food; well made, tasty meals that don’t come from a jar or a freezer. how many of us are housebound or can’t drive? delivery services only offer within certain distances, if you live outside a city they aren’t an option. many people don’t have the energy or ability to cook for themselves if they have the skill to begin with. many certainly don’t have the ability to learn how. it’s something that goes completely unnoticed, just the opportunity to have a good meal and how much that wears you down

so idk if we’re getting a bard’s lament this season, but regardless of if we are or not i NEED to talk about my most favorite dynamic ever so i can get this convo back out into the universe before a bard’s lament happens because it makes me unwell.

vex and scanlan are, in many ways, the same. they’re deeply insecure, sad people that put on masks to hide it. they’re good liars. so that’s what they do. they stand in front of each other and they lie. and it’s not hard for them to know the other is lying. i mean vex LITERALLY SEES THROUGH HIS DISGUISE EVENTUALLY LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING?

and like, vex is snippy and she can be a bit of a shit and she says scanlan is just some guy without his magic. but he’s also the person she looks up to. she literally travels across the whole continent by herself to make sure his daughter can get to him and she sends kaylie back to him even though she’s distraught and terrified and alone. she’s the one person who actually gets through to him during a bard’s lament and she gets through to him by telling him to stop viewing his daughter as a sacred object. to fix his relationship with her. AND HE LISTENS. like again she is the ONLY person in that room who gets through to him and it’s because she implores him to fix his relationship with his daughter after he cruelly remarks that they went to the fey realm to “fix her daddy issues.”

and scanlan! he teases her and he deflects his seriousness around her with humor as much as he does to anyone. but he teaches vex how to use the broom and he gives her the hat to wear. and he ensures her success when he turns her into a dragon and directly tells a god that she’s mean and greedy and the most perfect one of all of them.

scanlan is a father with a fractured relationship with his daughter and vex is a daughter desperate for her father’s approval.

scanlan is not vex’s father. but when scanlan comes back she does everything she can to try and make sure he won’t leave again despite the way he hurt her.

vex is not scanlan’s daughter. but he walks her down the aisle and makes sure she can see her brother at her wedding and he’s happy to be like her father for a day.

scanlan is NOT vex’s father and vex is NOT scanlan’s daughter but really, aren’t they made of the same stuff?

"Hey, stop—" You stab at Simon's fork as he tries to steal another piece of food from you, huffing. "I'm already barely eating anything."

"'M hungry."

"You have snacks in the desk."

"That's not food, luvie." He mumbles.

"Yeah, but I gotta eat."

"The rice roll in your fridge begs a notice."

"It's not even a rice roll. I finished that last week. Yeah, don't we have food in my fridge?!"

"You want to walk back to our shared office and make me late to class?"

You bring the food to your lips, rummaging through your bag as you hand him another sandwich. "There you go. Can you stop stealing mine?"

"Luv ya."

"You literally stole my afternoon snack. I don't know what else you want from me." You finish the rest of your rice, biting on the tip of the utensil as you close your lunchbox. "You owe me coffee."

"It's the start of the semester. That's when the bribes come in." He hums. "Though, I know you won't like the mooncakes."

"No thanks. We still have all of the homemade ones in the fridge. I wish John would've taken more." You sigh.

"I can send more his way."

"Nah. It's fine. I'll hand it to my students." You mumble. "My office hours are in person for once."

"You don't get lonely?"

"Of course I do. I'm a professor." You deadpan, turning to stare at a couple of students. "They yours?"

Simon turns to stare, brow raised as the group scrambles. "Sure are."

"Can't wait to see what you end up seeing in the gossip section of your class discord."

"I'm not on it."

You grin at him. He doesn't want to know how you got the link.

"You got rice on your stubble. Again." You reach over, fingers gentle on his skin as you scrape at it. "Tsk tsk."

"Oh, so y'a don't even want me anymore?"

"Oh, Simon." You mumble, getting the last of the white off his chin. "Haven't shaved lately?"

"Hectic week. Also, you said ya liked it."

"I do." Your thumb brushes at the stubble, humming at the texture. "Feels lovely."

The grimace on your face makes him chuckle, leaning against your hand.
