when we say "gender is a social construct" we don't mean that gender isn't real because as much as we would like to joke around, gender has been inrooted deep into society and has very real affects onto people.
When I say gender is a social construct, that doesn't mean man and woman is a social construct. It means "men are tough and masculine, women are emotional and feminine" is a social construct. And because these ideals are reinforced from a young age, trans people must adhere and mold around this. Because of their want and desire to be another gender, they will do typically things expected of the gender they desire (eg, trans man playing with cars as a child or trans woman wanting to wear dresses as a child).
These labels though were entirely created by society to best describe the gender of the people, more specifically cis hetero people. Since trans people who don't fit the binary exist, these labels are discrimatory and because of their deep roots in society, it has caused bigotry within cis hetero community.
So we should abolish ideas of gender in general, since outside of societal expectations, people can do whatever they want and should be allowed that freedom without the shackles of outdated ideas such as "man is masculine and unemotional and woman is feminine and sensitive". Gender is not limited to man and woman and these stereotypes hurt everyone. Including cis hetero people.
"Man" and "woman" are just labels at the end of the day society created to describe personal gender. The same can be said for genderqueer labels, but this does not mean that their perception of gender isn't real. They are used to describe SOMETHING afterall, just like the traditional "man" and "woman". Except that genderqueer labels are just less accepted.
So like uh abolish gender my dudes

so when straight people ask me why I say I’m “queer” or “gay” instead of sharing my actual identity as a panromantic demisexual non-binary sapphic queer I just tell them “ok look, when you’re talking to someone who isn’t local and they ask you where you’re from and you either say the name of the largest city nearby or ‘town name, suburb of large nearby city’ so they can get some geographical context of where you’re located right, bc they’re probably not going to know the name of the little town you actually live in.”
but if you’re talking to a local you can say the name of your actual town bc they have a greater chance of knowing where/what that is.
ok well when I’m talking to a straight person I start with queer bc chances are they aren’t as familiar with the context of all the little towns in that big queer city and need gps (gay positioning system) to find me.
if I’m talking to another queer person and I say I live in a suburb of gay city in a town called panromantic on the demisexual side of the tracks which is in the county of queer and I live off the intersection of non-binary and sapphic, they’d probably be able to find me with little to no problems, make sense?

No medical confirmation or psychological evaluation necessary. The law will be active by the 1st of November this year.
First names can also be changed while changing gender. One all inclusive package with minimum effort.

the funniest thing that’s happened to me recently is that someone seemingly tried to update my pronouns on the medical system but accidentally made it so that my actual name is now “They Them”

The only reason why transphobes always ask “what is a woman” instead of “what is a man” is because we all know that a man is a featherless biped.

I'm wishing a very Happy Pride Month to all the queer people who:
are disabled
are chronically ill
can't celebrate for health reasons
disability gets in the way of their gender representation
disability got in the way of a relationship
don't have anyone to celebrate with
have homophobic caretakers
Happy Pride Month to all disabled queer people
