how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)
there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~
I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first
url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order
url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes
url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc
url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant)
the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog!
caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks.
Tumblr media
if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else
if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)

I feel like everyone is talking about the kiss (which yes!! I’m just rotating that whole scene around in my brain like a dish in a microwave) but not enough people are talking about what it means for queer representation in mainstream media.
Good omens is BIG. Like—VERY POPULAR. And it’s not quite a “gay show” as in a romance clearly intending to tell a queer love story from the first scene.
But it’s still a love story. It is—and always has been, a love story between an angel and a demon who both just so happen to look like human men most of the time. The show could have kept going with the pining and clear infatuation for the rest of its runtime, but it didn’t! It made Crowley and Aziraphale officially and undeniably a queer ship—at the end of the second season! It is treating their relationship with the same drama and narrative weight of a straight romance!!! It took the step that various shows in the past with a similar setup (friends of the same gender who kinda like each other but don’t know how to confess their feelings—*cough* supernatural *cough*) refused to.
tldr: ineffable husbands confession is a huge step for queer rep in mainstream media and we should probably start using it interchangeably with the destiel confession meme because that would make more people on this app watch good omens.

i’ve decided to commit to blogging about supernatural as if its approximately 2006. i grew up watching this show so much that whenever i think about it, i’m thinking about it with fandom goggles on, where i have the whole show going on in my head at once and have all these already cemented headcanons. but now i’m going back and rewatching it for the first time in years, and honestly i love looking at it with fresh eyes. i like when i don’t know anything that’s gonna happen next, like the show is brand new and exciting, like the queerbaiting hasn’t kicked into full gear, etc. i just get to enjoy and think critically about it like i would any other TV show.
i think, since its a show thats literally 15 seasons long, its easy to forget the earlier seasons of supernatural and thus forget who these characters really are in canon. i love destiel memes and fanfiction and web weaving as much as the next guy but going back and watching the show from the beginning has really reawakened my love for what the show is really about, which is 1) the simultaneously loving and deeply fucked up relationship between sam and dean, and 2) campy horror stories that freak me out and keep me up at night. i think the real reason why kripke era is my favourite (and the only seasons i see as truly canon) is because its the one that gets that vision right. after spn got a new showrunner (and then another after that, and again after that, and again after that…) it just wasnt possible for it to be the same show anymore. so for me im always gonna hold the early seasons near and dear to my heart and engage with them in a way that actually matters to me, and not in this distinctly 2020s post-ironic cringe culture way, where no one wants to admit that they really love this show and is too caught up in shipping and queerbaiting discourse to care about anything else. so this is a long way of saying i want to enjoy my fucked up campy horror show with toxically codependent brothers and their emotional support gay angel in peace

I'm so jealous of your dad I got my mom into supernatural and obsessed with cas but she was soo confused when I even mentioned there being gay undertones. And she thinks dean's annoying 😕
/!!3?2$2; that is so crazy to me because . well. ok let me explain. my mom personally is evil and insane and when i was like 12 i would tell her about youtuber rpf and like. she is actively homophobic however she was a legit truther about youtube rpf ships which is. an entire thing. not an rpf guy btw need this to be known . not a fan. not about it whatsoever. actively disdain for it. Moving on. she still talks abt that stuff to this day. unprompted. despite being lgbtphobic love and light. MOVING ON. my dad literally like..... We did Not ask him to fucking do this . he started watching spn and anytime its on tv around him he starts going off about his gay dean truthing and how like. he doesnt subscribe to him being bi hes of the belief dean is a gay man. he also vibes with dean beinng a trans dude. he will make a comment about this at any opportunity . dean scene where hes like 'my boobs are real' cue my father unprompted immediately talking abt top surgery dean . hes insane. he says he is quote 'indifferent' abt trans dean headcanon. he says hes also quote 'indifferent' abt gay and bi dean however he 'sure does act gay with cas' which . is really fucking funny to me bc he put on a destiel compilation on youtube (?? did not fucking ask him to . i wanted to watch the 'deans gay thing' scene) and then it ended up being him critiquing fan compilations of deans behaviors and he even starts bringing up like . 'remember that time he looked at that guys ass in like the 50s' or whatever. like to prove there were better portrayals of dean being gay than in the destiel fan compilations on yourube. my god. he said yesterday separately to both me and my older brother about how he (my dad not dean) is like if gay was a gender and not a sexuality. not unpacking all that rn. but he said it to me when we were watching destiel compilation he put on and he had my older brother back him up abt how he said it earlier GSHJF. i dont remember whrte i was going w this. oh yeah. further context i am his only bio child ever . my older brother is found family we met like five years ago and he moved in w us at the end of last yr. bc dad offered. and before that he offered to move in my other bestie who i went to hs with who ive known for approx four years now and like . we are all trans guys btw. he offered to pay for our t if we set up ghe shit w insurance (this is happening rn i literally got my first t shot yday‼️) ANYWAYS.... all of this to say. my dad is always saying shit about jow destiel are gay or whatever. hes insane. no clue why. he insisted that like Yeah No its not even undertones is so blatant and overt that hes gay . he will say stuff like 'im not a fangirl i dont have headcanons' (insane sentence to hear btw) if u ask him directly abt it when were not watching spn bc it 'stays reserved for when were watching the show' but also like he will just. he. will say things. so much.

Sounds Like Forever
Hello! Welcome to another Destiel fic ‘cause I’m never going to escape these idjits, and I don’t want to. Rating: Explicit
Words: 13088
Author’s Notes:  What started as a hilarious meme of a mug making an accidental announcement turned into something kinda angsty, a little violent, very fluff, and just a bit horny (okay, more than a bit). That said, please mind the tags about domestic violence and abuse. If you're not in the right headspace to read this one, pass it by. Above all, be kind to yourselves.
~~
Summary:
Cas started dating April Kelly to try to get over his feelings for his best friend, Dean. But she is both volatile and violent, and after five months, he's had enough. When an apology gift she forces on him makes an unexpected, unwanted announcement, Cas panics. Her reaction to being dumped is explosive, and Cas calls the person he trusts most for help.
~~
Excerpt:
Cas wasn't ordinarily the type to bring his work home with him. In his previous jobs, he'd always believed in a strong sense of work-life balance. Once he went into business for himself though, well, he couldn't help it.
Rescuing plants and trees that would otherwise die was gratifying. Hardly the same as bringing home paperwork as an accountant.
He set his new plants on the counter and collected a shallow tray, filling it with water. He set it on the rolling rack he had near the window, then put his new plants in to soak up some water on their own. He looked at the cracked earth and frowned.
The supplier's quality had fallen off, and he'd bought these three plants himself and brought them home to coax them back to health rather than try to sell them to anyone. Glancing around his dining room, he sighed happily. There was green everywhere. Spider plants and ivy, jade, as well as two temperamental African violets under glass bells to keep them warmer and hold in moisture better, a sickly orchid a little apart from the others while he figured out why the petals were spotted brown. There was a variegated philodendron draping its healthy, shiny leaves from a hanging basket in splashes of green and white, and a royal princess philodendron sat on the floor in its enormous pot, the huge leaves a mix of green and pink.
Sitting on the window sill were a trio of cacti, a few other succulents, and a giant aloe vera plant he'd coaxed from a small, damaged thing to this monstrosity over the years. Further over was a collection of herbs, and he eyed the flourishing basil hungrily, wondering if he had the ingredients in his pantry to make pesto.
Grinning at his new additions, Cas adjusted them in their tray to make sure they were getting the sun they needed and snapped a picture. He posted it on Instagram, then went back to the kitchen to clean up the bit of dirt that had spilled when he re-potted his new arrivals.
He felt his phone vibrate and pulled it from his pocket again, grinning as he saw the notification was a text from Dean. His best friend followed him on Instagram but didn't really use it. And yet he was always one of the first to react to Cas’ posts.
Dean: nice new babies! You're gonna nurse them back to health in no time.
Cas grinned and started to type a response when a second text popped up.
Dean: you might need to get permission from the city to rezone your house as a protected green space though.
"Assbutt," Cas muttered with a grin, his heart pitter-pattering in his chest.
Cas: they'll be fine. But I have to find a new supplier. I can't keep bringing home plants because the product has fallen off since Roman took over.
Dean: yeah, you said that guy was a real Dick.
Cas snorted.
Cas: hilarious. Don't give up your day job. 😜
Dean: yeah, yeah. You just want me for my hands.
Cas' face reddened, and he was glad he wasn't face-to-face with his best friend. He cleared his throat and shoved away the longing with the ease of long practice.
Cas: speaking of, we still on for tomorrow to get those planters built for the deck?
Dean: way to prove my point, buddy. Lol. Yeah.
Cas sighed and set his phone on the counter, pouring himself a glass of lemonade, then rifling through his fridge for a handful of berries. He washed them carefully and dropped them into his glass. Snipping a couple of mint leaves from his planter over the sink, he rinsed them lightly then pinched them, bruising the leaves before adding them to his drink. Taking a sip, he smiled contentedly.
His phone vibrated again, and he picked it up, flicking the screen awake with a grin to see what Dean had said.
His smile faded into a frown, and he groaned, leaning against the counter in exhaustion.
April: I'm on my way over.

I had one of those 'was anyone going to tell me' meme moments when I first watched 12x19, because the 'it's a gift, you keep those' scene was so vidded and included in cuts of Destiel scenes, but nobody mentioned that Cas was looking to steal the goddamned colt - which I felt was important context when I finally watched the scene!
All this is to explain that when the PB100 challenge offered cunning, this idea practically leapt into my head. 100 words, angst, gently edited from its first appearance, (but only gently, how much can you edit 100 words before it's a rewrite?)
It’s hardly a cunning tactic, taking advantage of someone’s trust; but Castiel needs the colt, and he knows Dean keeps it close. To an angel inside the bunker’s wards, its power is obvious, its precise place not so much, until he steps inside Dean’s door with his excuses ready and the tape in his pocket. Castiel knows it was a gift, knows it full well, and Dean’s level irritation when he says as much burns, that Dean is losing patience with Castiel’s perceived naivety. There’ll be no more gifts once Dean knows Castiel’s betrayal, so what does it matter anyway.

I will wrote this in anon as this fandom is often out for blood, but I have many problems with the Percy Jackson tv show and the trailer confirmed it for me.
- It's rushed.
We've gone from casting to the first episode all put in year. So for a TV show that's not so unusual, but consider this is a.Disney+ tv show and not something from the CW. CW ensemble a cast, they come together and shot episodes through most of the year, take some time off, return, and go at it again. Episode finishes shooting, they do all the special effects, tv show is ready to roll on the Autumn with in going shooting, it takes a few months of shooting, a few months of editing, the result is a cheesy show where the special effects look like Supernatural or Riverdale.
Now compare Disney.
Mrs Marvel were shooting for months. Then they did reshoots and more reshoots. They refilmed certain parts. They spent ages working on it and it finally came out. Similar is with Loki, season 2 has taken forever to create, its been almost 2 years. Other TV shows take equally long, there's one called Echo out in November, that one has also taken around 2 years.
Percy Jackson's TV show is more in line with a run of the mill CW TV Show than a Disney + one. It has been greatly rushed and bare in mind too these actors are all children, they can't have them on set all the time, it should have taken even longer than an adult TV show to make, in truth it took them less. Once the kids were done, it was special effects. Percy Jacksin only finished in February, if they had to reshot anything (and often they do) that would have happened throught March and April once they reviewed the footage. There's had maybe 3 to 4 months to do perhaps 10 hours worth of TV show, and that includes special effects which can take weeks, all the green screens, the lightning, matching audio and lip movement up, any music, all the ending and starting credits. Then they've finished, maybe a month ago, Disney have reviewed it, Greenlight it, they made a trailer and release date (which I shall mention soon) given in time for Percy's birthday. Which indicates this was finished weeks ago.
This is CW-level editing, not Disney+ level. They haven't paid alot out at all on this series. They've left them use the same software The Mandalorian uses, but as you can see, the 'volume' doesn't look do good on Percy Jackson, everything looks flat and lifeless, this is down to a lack of budget. The team behind this isn't their A Team. More like their Q Team. They had been no love, this to Disney is their tax break/schedule filler. I honestly don't believe they wanted to make this, but since they brought Fox and gainted the rights and Rick Riordan started pestering them, they said OK to shut him up, which brings me to the next point.
By bringing the TV show forward, they can effectively just cancell it fast. Hopefully this makes sense.
Strike is on right now. I didnt even know the trailer had aired, I was out on the 18th, only vaguely went online yesterday. Today to my surprise I found the trailer had been released - From a Destiel Meme for crying out loud lol.
So if the trailer can quietly slip by somebody who knows about Percy Jackson and had read the books, imagine somebody who doesn't know Percy Jackson. They won't see the trailer at all. The official tumblr Disney plus like/retweet number is only in the low 2k or so last I checked, that's just 2,000 likes/retweets. That's shockingly low. The writer strike isn't going to end any time soon, Percy Jackson has had its trailer and no press, no nothing. Its going to just slip by unnoticed. Recently Disney + cancelled National Treasure (?) Only after 3 months since its air date due to bad ratings. They've been deleting alot and I think everybody seen what happened to Willow and sorry to say but that looked much better than Percy Jackson did. The TV show comes out on the 20th December. Around that time Disney+ is swamped with Christmas movies. All the fandoms have something. Marvel with their Christmas specials, Simpsons will have all their Christmas episodes listed. Olaf will likely be all over the app. Even Darth Vader is often in Christmas Masks, and that's before all the romcon Christmas movies come out, as well as the Disney ones themselves. Thing is, trying to find a poorly advertised TV show on there is going to be near impossible at that time and that's IF you have time free from family. No doubt fans will watch the TV show when it airs, but its going to be a low number among general public. When episode 3 - 10 release weekly after that, they still have New Year promos, then no doubt Star Wars or Marvel will air something. All of this too IF the writers strike is off, if not then they won't be any Percy Jackson advertising. Its going to get cancelled without a doubt.
So writers strike aside, why is December a bad time and omen? Because it has been rushed to air in 2023. It could be used as a tax write off. Disney plus could skip it all together from renewed. The new tax year is still far off, they can place it into this year and write it off.
Hi! So true this fandom IS out for blood! That's why I kept silent for one year, because all the opinions I saw were strongly pro this series and people were like: "If you don't like this casting you're a bigot, don't talk to me."
Anyway, I did not even notice any of the other issues, such as how fast put together this show is and I don't know anything about tax write offs. I don't agree that the show looks flag and lifeless, I quite like the aesthetic and the orange tv shirts give me nostalgia. But I will agree with you that the Disney+ format is so bad- only like what 6-8 episodes per season? That's basically just a long movie. What's the point of even making it a show if one season is going to be as long as a movie? I think that this format is also part of the reason why How I Met Your Father is not very good. Also you are so right about the special effects. If they rushed it all together so fast (they filmed it super fast considering child actors are only allowed to work like 10 hours/week) what is it going to look like? The Marvel special effects in the recent movies look like cheap green screen, so I am sceptical about that as well. Not to mention that anything that came out of Disney from recent years was not very good and ended up losing money.
I think it is sad, because this book series finally deserves a worthy adaptation but it doesn't look like it will be getting it soon.

supernatural first and foremost. i'd say any of the superwholock but i did watch an ep of sherlock and a handful of dr who and they're okay to good actually, but supernatural i stopped halfway through ep1. "this is the destiel site" i dont remember voting you guys it was the destiel site against everyone's will but yours
^ same w the seven deadly sins. ragequitted like halfway through ch1 of the manga and didn't look back. don't google it iykyk you don't want my same knowledge ( <- got curious and wanted to know what happened without reading that and hey what the fuck how did that become popular )
aot. i mostly avoided it because as soon as i said i was curious i was flooded with spoilers and it completely killed the mood. in hindsight it was for the best huh fansmdg
is it okay to say the backrooms. like in general. is it okay. is it
and yea laserhawk nfadmsg its mostly a mix of always having a bit of. idk how to explain it i didnt like the vibes from the very start? and then a constant DID YOU WATCH IT from so many people that threw me off im tired of silly haha child game becomes evil and fucked up and bleeding i want them to learn the power of friendship again and fight god :(
im not watching breaking bad. partially because everyone and their mom yell at me to watch it and partially because the memes are much funnier without context honestly
and honestly if you push me hard enough any media becomes impossible for me to watch. like i dropped s4 of stranger things pre-Whatever The Fuck Was All Of That because i thought the villain explaination was cringe but everyone kept telling me COME ON YOU GOTTA FINISH IT and now i'm not gonna <3
...and more or less the same but also not really but i stopped watching the disney live action after dumbo iirc and i didnt touch them since. "but you need to watch them to criticize them" bet? fucking bet????

I am sad that CMP’s first outing has gotten such a negative immediate reaction 😞 I hope they can weather the storm.
[i vented sorry]
Yeah, I was very sad yesterday seeing everyone do that. Especially the secondhand embaressment. This is this production company's first big thing, in the SPN universe, and when you have the actor of that universe suddenly turn producer to make more content — folks were going to write articles and the twitter descriptions it's just like —
I feel like the fandom showed its ass yesterday. No one is saying folks have to be jazzed but the reaction, in my opinion, was childish and very rude. Many things that the fandom told each other over the last several months, telling each other how much we trust Jensen with anything SPN related, how much we began to understand his respect for the material etc etc just flew out the window as soon as folks saw 'John Winchester'.
Folks I thought of as rational thinkers, level headed, not dramarific or one for over reactions for SPN things over the years were very quick to get morose, negative, and bemoan the fact this isn't a continuation with destiel attatched to it. There were also the concerns over trying to paint John as a "good man", which, there's no way to make that assumption with any facts behind it. It's just emotions replacing facts in my opinion.
It's like the article was published, people blinked, and forgot everything.
It takes two seconds of thought to understand where this is coming from, what may come of it, and what benefits it'd have to both CMP and to just the SPN universe in general.
But some people wanted to get memes out, wanted to get the quip out, wanted to get the viral tweet or tumblr post, wanted to sit on their rockers and just complain.
I understand some of the criticisms, and they are founded — after the content begins and you actually see something amiss with it.
Right now however, there is no content to judge. You have nothing. It's just emotions being presented as facts in folks' heads which led to SUCH an embaressing twitter blurb being written — I honestly wanted to cry when I read that.
There was no reason for that reaction. Not the caution, but the meanness that came from some fans.
I'm chalking it up to old bitter fans, new bitter fans, fans who don't know who Robbie is, fans who still for some reason think Jensen is a homophobe, fans who wanted to be "right" and were embaressed when they weren't ("right" being "oooh they're going to come out with a continuation as their first SPN project").
I will admit myself when I first saw it I went "wait... what?"
But I got over it, I sat down with myself, and gave a minute of thought to it to understand 1) why we're starting with this 2) what can come of it and 3) what are the good things we're already seeing like Robbie Thompson being involved.
I'm not saying I'm better than others who had their reservations, because this fandom did get put through the wringer last November and a few times before that. I understand the hesitancy. I understand the caution.
But what I did not understand were the trending comments that put Jensen and Dee on blast. I did not understand people complaining to them. I did not understand people celebrating that the twitter blurb made us look like idiots.
Sorry I really lost myself in all of that. I'm really tired, I've been awake since 3 a.m. and had no sleep lol.
To answer your thing: I think Jensen and Dee will actually weather it.
Because even though I just said what I said, the ball is actually in their court, and I do believe they'll do some magic. Bad press around a series only sticks around if it is, in fact, a bad series.
It took less than a night talking about the potential of the show not from only me but from several others as well for other fans to pause and maybe give this a cautious optimism.
Imagine if this series comes and it is something amazing (which, I think it will be good. yes yes CW this and CW that but whatever. It is what it is).
I think we as a fandom forget that SPN means just as much to Jensen as it does to us (most of us — some of "fans" are still extremely bitter or just weird and don't actually watch or care about the show and only want to criticize so... idk what they are doing here).
And it's in that care, in watching the last two years of interviews of him talking about a continuation, him voicing his excitement in 2018 over wanting to help tell the Wayward Sister story, his "I have Dean", his insistence that nothing stays dead on SPN, his overall love and devotion for the show, for the crew, for the cast that I personally think he will 1) push through this and show us just what he can do and 2) prove the trust we had in him was justified.
And I do trust him, and Dee, and Robbie, and everyone else involved in making this. I think their drive is going to push through this weirdly annoying reaction that spawned.
Their love and passion and respect for the material I think will give us something very special, and I think they know that as well!
Never forget:

You know what... I do appreciate the genuine "my bad", the sun is shining, I have an unexpectedly light evening, and Supernatural is trending due to actors getting gay married. I think I will say some nice things about Destiel today.
Introduction: Supernatural is the longest running American Sci fi / Fantasy show (and pretty much only beat in length overall by Doctor Who - which is kind of a unique case) with 327 episodes over 15 seasons. It ran from September 2005 - November 2020. Destiel, the main ship of the spn fandom, appeared in the S4 premiere on September 18, 2008 with the introduction of Castiel, the angel who quite literally pulled Dean out of hell and resurrected him. (Fun fact: the first Destiel fanfic was posted that day.) Castiel had enough compelling character work and wild chemistry with Dean in their first season to inspire the writers to change their planned arc of killing him off after 3 episodes to keeping him around and (infamously) adapting the conceived allied-angel plot of a different new character, Anna, that was going to be a potential love interest for Dean into Castiel's story instead. So at the end of S4 he turned on all of Heaven after Dean Winchester looked him in the eye and asked him to, and the next 11+ years were history.
Now I can quite literally babble on about in-universe Destiel forever, but the stuff I've actually been observing / joking about / commenting on while all this ship bracket posting has been going is the more meta-level negative perception of the ship, show, and fandom, so I think I'm actually going to just overview that.
---
So like... broad strokes, Destiel is almost more meme than ship at this point. And it's not a generally positive meme. Part of that is our fault as a fandom - we do love our joking about queerbait and homophobia and being annoying and how much we lose, and the show finale was genuinely terrible - but also there is whole running joke of people who actually finally do watch spn and then go "oh my god there is actually Destiel in this show" because people assume they know about spn from the general fandom consciousness and straight up do not believe us when we say it shouldn't be dismissed as homophobic queerbait. Because it's not.
If anything, Destiel is a unique and fascinating case study of the blurry line and interactions between homophobia, queercoding, queerbaiting, and telling a canonically romantic story - one that could only have been produced in its timeframe.
Since we're coming from the Sulemio poll, there have been a lot of mentions of the legality of gay marriage. This is particularly ironic, because gay marriage is legal in the USA, yes, but that court decision came down in 2015. When spn premiered it was legal in exactly one state and explicitly banned in nearly half the country. By the end of 2008 (start of Destiel era) that becomes two legal states and explicitly banned in over two thirds. Supernatural as a show and Destiel as a ship literally straddle pretty much the entire process of gay marriage legalization across the country, which ended in the summer of 2015 between S10 and S11 when the Supreme Court legalized it nationwide, including in the 14 holdout states that hadn't done so yet. And this shows. It's intrinsic to understanding Destiel.
Because you also have to understand that a lot of people worked on spn over a lot of years, and our fandom loves to know those people by name. In the writers room alone you have 4 separate showrunners and about 15 additional writers of significance (so more than one-off episode writers) who all contributed their own efforts and perspectives. Plus directors, actors, the network / producers, other crew... Supernatural as a show has no coherent stance on Destiel at any point in its run because the people making it have so many different stances - which is how we get the final 3 episodes dropping a canonical romantic love confession and then trying to ignore they did so, burying their confirmed gay angel (the famous superhell meme) and then un-burying him in the finale with an offscreen mention while they studiously avoid drawing attention to post-canon Destiel possibilities, and very likely accidentally giving a translation team a script / transcript from before they cut the verbal reciprocation to said love confession that they insist did not exist despite the translation team seemingly receiving it (y yo a ti / canon in spanish memes).
Early years Destiel was a lot of homophobic jokes + queerbait and the show was mostly homophobic about it, but at the same time we have Ben Edlund, beloved writer from S2-S8, talking on twitter recently about how he was definitely aware of and intentionally exploring queercoded possibilities with Destiel well before that could be anything but queercoding on a network tv show. And he wasn't alone! Meanwhile in the late Destiel era we have Bobo Berens, a gay writer who joined the show in S9 (still pre-national gay marriage!) and would steadily gain importance until he wrote Cas's love confession and worked insanely hard with showrunner Dabb and actor Misha Collins to get it in the show. Yet some of the homophobic people from the early years are still around through all of that!
Like - gay marriage is legalized in 2015. S11 airs (with a lot of Destiel subtext which is standard by this point) and behind the scenes showrunner Jeremy Carver is passing the reigns to final showrunner Andrew Dabb. S12 is Dabb's first season as showrunner and he immediately has Destiel market researched. The network presumably says no, so S13 they open with a five episode bit we call the widower arc where Cas is temporarily dead and Dean is literally a widower about it, ending with a Cas resurrection and Destiel reunion with set decor referencing the Romeo + Juliet movie from 1996 and camerawork showing Cas's return putting the light back on Dean's face after he just tried to kill himself for real because nothing mattered anymore.
You can't make this shit up.
At several points we will never be able to fully pin down (see: varying stances across cast and crew), Destiel became a thing that a significant number of the creators were pushing for in some shape or form. That's not queerbaiting anymore. That's queercoding in a canon romance when you aren't allowed to break the "plausible deniability" rules - no kissing, no "I love you" that doesn't get immediately maybe-platonic-zoned, no gay stuff that couldn't maybe be the warrior's bond or a joke (and ideally leaves the audience to fill in the punchline). You can actually do a lot inside those rules. See: the entire history of queer media.
And they did it. For years. Until the needle on "how taboo the idea of your male lead being gay is" had moved just enough to pull the trigger and film it becoming canon right before a worldwide pandemic paused production and gave homophobic executives a huge block of time, required rewrites, and the perfect cover story for basically anything they chose to do. (The spn finale lore is way too complicated to get into here - just know it's undeniable shenanigans happened.)
So we have a heavily queercoded ship that's not really "open to interpretation" despite the party line - as in written in arcs where one guy is filling the role of love interest in everything but name and the two characters function like a common law married couple in between getting paralleled to about every romantic relationship they meet - that manages to become canon despite being native to a pre-gay rights era show that has a huge historical impact on fandom culture. And then we have a broad fandom perception of it among people who have not watched the show as being a cringe queerbait that the creators hated and never took seriously which should only be known for how homophobic it was to it's fandom while we leave it in the past (where it belongs) and embrace real canon ships that were made with effort by people who wrote them with intent to tell a gay love story.
...now maybe you see where I was coming from with this meme:
Tumblr media
Oh, and in this timeframe spn fans have also put over 116k Destiel fanfics on AO3 - that's around 45k more than 2nd place Sherlock/John Watson last I checked - and yet the prevailing meme opinion is that it's just another white guy ship between two people who barely come across as friends and most people only still like it for the meme anyway. It's not like Destiel is actually has value or is worth shipping in 2024 with so many better options out there.
It's cool to hate now, and people loudly and enthusiastically hate it in order to be cool. Which is why we laugh amongst ourselves through losing polls and also laugh at the random wildly uneducated Destiel opinions that get treated as absolute fact because some meme voter said them and doesn't everyone know Destiel was queerbait?
Anyway if I really wanted to throw some stones in these glass houses I'd ask where the beautiful canon yuri ship advancing us beyond the era of barbarous queerbait - the one that got officially married in their blessed canon - is keeping their official kissing gifs.
They have those, right? One of the perks of being real canon and married (since Destiel canon doesn't count).
...oh.
Oh?!?
You mean they didn't show an official canon kiss on screen despite making it super blatant that there was a non-platonic relationship going on here??? And then the anime studio after making it super gay by doing a political marriage plot from ep 1 tried to walk it back to being "open to interpretation" by downplaying the relationship in the final episodes and editing out parts of interviews that said they were married post-canon?????? As in your fandom had a brief QUEERBAITING SCANDAL due to NETWORK CENSORSHIP?????????

Could the same SPN finale make a little more sense with some additions/changes?
I’ve had the idea for this post stuck in my head for days now, but with every new conspiracy theory and every new eventuality in the fandom, it became difficult to cool down enough to write something less ship-related and more narrative-focused.
What Supernatural and non-SPN fans have to understand is that a lot of us have expressed disappointment and frustration after 15x20, not because of Destiel (that’s just one part of the whole problem), but because the finale doesn’t make sense. Everything was leading up to something beautifully crafted until the end of 15x19. Beyond that, it’s hard to understand what happened. The story rendered all the character growth irrelevant, invalidated the themes of free will and “family don’t end in blood”, regressed to the original brother codependency they spent 15 years trying to overcome, made a queer non-binary character in a male vessel and a deaf female character basically disposable, and kept the show’s reputation of queerbaiting and misogyny until its very last breath.
That’s not going out with a bang! At least not a positive one. We all were ready to mourn Supernatural, but we wanted to feel proud of its legacy, and somehow TPTB managed to tarnish that legacy in less than 45 minutes. What a way to ruin the other more than 13,600 minutes of story!
It doesn’t matter who is to blame (The CW, Robert Singer, Andrew Dabb). It doesn’t matter why it happened (homophobia, censorship, marketing for Walker, bad writing). What matters is that at the end of the day, the finale that aired is what we got and that’s going to hurt for a long time. It hurts even more when we realize that the same finale could have easily made more sense, even without being perfect.
That’s what I want to do in this post. I want to show you how things would have been less jarring (for the fandom), while still keeping the goal to please the general audience.
Before I begin rewriting 15x20, I have to mention that I talked to my conservative boomer sister about the finale. She hasn’t watched the second half of season 15 yet (she’s waiting for Netflix to have it), but she’s been watching the show for a long time (she introduced me to it 8 years ago). She’s the perfect example of a viewer from the general audience. Loves the show but doesn’t give a second thought to it and definitely isn’t paying attention to character development or themes. Doesn’t engage with fandom, actors, or any of the show’s social media. Pure GA! When I told her the series finale had aired, she asked me about it and I refused to give her spoilers. Because of that, she told me the ending SHE wanted. She said she would be happy with either of two possibilities: the boys retiring and finally living a normal life OR they going to heaven and finding peace at last. She saw Sam and Dean as a unit, which means: both retiring or both going to heaven. AND she saw Cas as part of that, too. She wasn’t so sure about Jack. And for her, we could use the “Eileen who?” and it wouldn’t be a joke. She didn’t remember her.
NOW IT’S TIME TO WRITE A NEW VERSION OF 15X20 (KEEPING 15X18 AND 15X19 EXACTLY THE SAME AS THEY AIRED). This will be a very long post:
The opening remains almost the same. No “Carry on my wayward son” to induce feels. Too soon and too predictable! (Reasoning: Everyone was expecting it to play right there, so it would bring more tears at the end)
In the opening, after the scene where Jack says “People won’t need to pray to me or sacrifice to me”, we also see the scene from 15x19 where he says “I won’t be hands on”. Then we see the rest of the opening as it was. (Reasoning: People needed to be reminded that Jack would NOT intervene and that’s why later on, he would NOT save Dean).
We get the same montage, but when Sam takes a break from his morning run, we see him reading a message on his phone. A simple: “Hey Sam, what’s new?” from Eileen. Sam smiles fondly and begins to type a response we don’t get to see. The next scene continues the same, Sam making breakfast. (Reasoning: A text was a very simple way to show that Eileen was alive and still in communication with Sam).
The montage slowly ends as Sam enters the library (not after he sits down). He seems to be talking on the phone but we only hear an “I’ll tell him. Bye”. As he walks towards the table, he tells Dean: “Charlie says hi. Mentioned something about Stevie’s perfect scrambled eggs we have to try.” Dean’s answer is “Awesome!” (Reasoning: Just ONE line was needed to unbury Charlie and her girlfriend. ONE LINE).
Sam sits down, opens his laptop and everything continues the same. The title card shows for the last time.
YOU SEE? In the first 4 minutes they could have acknowledged that THREE WOMEN were alive and safe: Eileen, Charlie and Stevie. It wasn’t hard! Don’t blame bad writing on Covid! Now let’s continue.
Sam and Dean arrive at the Pie Fest just the same. Dean goes to get some “damn pie” and Sam takes out his phone. He dials and when someone picks up, he says “Hey, Jody, how are ya?” We don’t hear the rest of the conversation. The scene moves to Dean coming with his 6 portions of pie. Dean sits down and Sam tells him, “Talked to Jody. The other hunters haven’t had much work lately.” “That’s good, isn’t it?”, Dean says. All we get from Sam is “Yeah.” So, Dean looks at him and asks “what’s wrong?” like it happened in the episode. (Reasoning: Again, a couple of lines to make sure the people that were killed in 15x18 are safe and remembered by the boys in 15x20. Why is this important? Because they’re family!)
The conversation about Sam’s sad face happens the same. Sam is the one that mentions Cas and Jack. (Reasoning: Because this episode was so Sam-centered, it’s obvious he was the protagonist in the finale. If we see him communicating with Eileen, Charlie, and Jody, then it’s NORMAL, even expected of him to be the one to bring up Cas and Jack). Without these additions, it’s harder for people to understand that most of the finale was NOT from Dean’s POV but from Sam’s.
Dean’s “if we don’t keep living, then all that sacrifice is gonna be for nothing” stays the same. (Reasoning: I believe it’s necessary that the show sticks to the importance of “letting go” and “what is dead should stay dead” for the first time ever because the message is “even when you lose someone you love, you can still find some form of happiness and keep living, for you and for them, because that’s what they would have wanted”. Bringing someone back means “I can’t live without you”, and that’s just more codependency. It’s how the demon deals began in the Winchester family –Mary being the first one to do it. This would explain why Dean didn’t ask Jack to bring Cas back, as he asked Chuck. He understood Jack was NOT going to interfere anymore and accepted it. Besides, when Cas saved Dean from hell, Dean thought he didn’t deserve to be saved. This time that Cas saved him, Dean finally feels worthy enough to accept that YES, HE DESERVED TO BE SAVED ALL ALONG, just as much as he deserved to be loved by that angel of the Lord. In this scene, Dean also says that the pain is not gonna go away, which means that from HIS PERPECTIVE, it still hurts that Cas is not there. The problem is that the finale is not showing his POV but Sam’s.
Sam pies Dean on the face just the same. (Reasoning: That part was just to avoid ending the scene on a sad note).
Everything related to the case happens exactly the same. (Reasoning: At this point, people don’t really care about the MoTW, they care about Sam and Dean).
NOTE 1: The case is important to show that even when the Winchesters are finally free of Chuck’s influence, they CHOOSE to keep hunting. It isn’t something they do out of revenge or because it is their destiny anymore. Maybe they were forced into the life at first, but they’ve learned to find joy in saving people. Being hunters is who they are. However, the fact that a job application was shown on Dean’s desk is also important because it means he was willing to explore what else was there for him besides hunting. Maybe he could find a balance? Maybe he was thinking it was time to quit? We will never know! The thing is that Sam only finds out about it when he goes into Dean’s room after his brother is dead, so maybe that’s when it hits him that Dean wanted to explore his options, and Sam starts to think it’s time for him to do the same.
NOTE 2: I believe the masks the vampires are wearing is something we can blame on covid. If they had their faces covered, it was easier to use people from the SPN crew for some scenes, instead of using more actors unnecessarily.
NOTE 3: When Sam and Dean arrive at the barn, we get 3 visuals to remember Cas in the same scene (those are for the fandom, not for the general audience): a) the barn, obviously; b) the bag that resembles Cas’ trenchcoat so much that many people thought that’s what it was; and c) two feathers hanging on Dean’s right when he opens the trunk.
The scene with the throwing star happens the same. (Reasoning: The episode is still told from Sam’s point of view, so it makes sense that he fondly sees his brother as a man child).
Jenny the vampire? Uhhh… I mean, it’s not the best piece of writing I’ve ever seen, but it’s not the worst, so okay. That stays the same. (Reasoning: There is none, but she’s not what really ruined the finale, so whatever!)
Dean still dies impaled on a rebar. (Reasoning: OK. HERE ME OUT!!! I hate as much as everyone else that Dean is killed. I think it’s lazy writing, but that’s what we got and I can’t change that in this re-write, so if killing Dean is what we have to work around, then, memes aside, death by rebar is better and here’s why. There’s no one to blame for Dean’s death: no Chuck (the boys were willingly hunting even after Chuck was defeated), no vampires (they were all killed and were no real threat, so it was impossible for Sam to begin a quest for revenge against all vampires. What was Sam going to blame? A rebar? Can you kill it? Hunt it? NO. It was an ordinary death, a stupid accident. Just like any person can die at any moment by slipping on a banana peel. Is it a good death? No, but it’s good to know he doesn’t die trying to save Sam or Cas, because Dean Winchester is NOT willing to give up his life in exchange for anyone else’s anymore.
Sam takes out his phone and says he’ll call for help, but his phone is more visible to the audience. He dials and it’s almost to his ear when Dean stops him and Sam hesitantly hangs up. (Reasoning: People have complained that Sam didn’t call an ambulance, but actually he tried to. It’s just that people missed that part, maybe?)
After Sam puts his phone back in his pocket and says “OK” to Dean, he adds, “I’ll pray to Jack”. Dean’s immediate answer is: “No hands on, remember?” “But Dean”, Sam says, and Dean interrupts him with “OK listen to me” and tells Sam what to do with the kids they rescued. (Reasoning: Jack is God now and how come Sam didn’t remember? The viewers remembered, so it was necessary to include a line that ruled the option out and that showed Dean didn’t want Jack to intervene. The rest was fine).
The lines “You knew it was always gonna end like this for me. It was supposed to end like this, right?” disappear completely from Dean’s monologue. (Reasoning: This is the most problematic part of Dean’s dying speech. He fought God and earned free will, he is no longer controlled by fate or destiny. Accepting that he is supposed to die on a hunt regresses his character development and denies his desire to keep living. This was a total mistake and should be removed).
Instead, if going to heaven is the ending TPTB wanted to give Dean, at least he should say something more empowering. Sam tells him that both of them are going to take the kids somewhere safe. Dean answers and the scene follows like this: “No. Sammy, we made our choice, didn’t we?”, he smiles with difficulty. “We were free to write our own story and we did. We decided to keep saving people, hunting things. Because it’s what we love despite the risks.” (Reasoning: If Dean’s going to die it doesn’t have to feel like it was always meant to be that way. He should die knowing that he exerted his free will until his last breath).
The rest of the dialogue between Sam and Dean happens almost the same. Except that instead of Dean saying “‘cause when it all came down to it, it was always you and me. It’s always been you and me”, he says “’cause when it all came down to it, we’ve always had each other’s backs. Always.” And instead of Sam saying “Don’t leave me”, he says “I still can try to save you.” (Reasoning: It sounds way less codependent without diminishing the importance of their love and support for each other).
Besides, let’s change Dean’s “I’m not leaving you” for “You don’t have to be alone. You’ve still got family.” The rest stays the same word by word. (Reasoning: Dean reminds Sam that “family don’t end in blood” and there are still lots of people out there who love Sam and will be with him).
“I love you so much, my baby brother” stays exactly the same. (Reasoning: Dean always had trouble to express the big L word. I always believed and said many times that before Dean could say “I love you” to Cas or any other character, he had to say it to Sam. So, this is important as part of Dean speaking his truth).
The last part when Dean insists Sam tell him that it’s okay stays the same. (Reasoning: It’s the final moment when the codependency cycle breaks. No more running in circles).
The forehead touch between them stays the same. (Reasoning: I think I would do something similar if my sister were dying. I know there are w*ncest shippers out there, but it shouldn’t matter because the moment feels appropriate for that kind of goodbye).
See? There are changes but not too many. That’s why I’ve been saying that it was easier to get it right, yet they still managed to screw it up.
The second montage stays the same. (Reasoning: Life goes on, but of course Sam has to mourn).
The call about a case in Austin remains the same. (Reasoning: It’s the only part of the episode where someone from the found family is mentioned, so I think that Donna’s name is perfect in that moment. However, without the other additions I’ve made in this re-write, that off-hand mention feels too little. Its purpose was to tell the viewers that if Donna was alive, so were the others, but the way the episode was executed gave us an isolated Sam, incapable of having friends and a family without Dean).
After 30 minutes of Sam’s POV, let’s finally see the last bit of Dean’s POV that we’ll ever get.
Dean arrives in Heaven and Bobby receives him. All their conversation stays almost the same, except that after mentioning Rufus and before saying “and your mom and dad…”, Bobby adds an “Ellen and Jo let me borrow their place”. (Reasoning: If you’re gonna put the man outside the Harvelle’s place, at least mention them for Jack’s sake!).
Besides, after Bobby tells Dean that Sam will be along and that time in heaven is different, Dean gives a small smile and says, “Well, there’s no rush. I want him to have a long, happy life.” Bobby answers with: “I would expect nothing less from you, boy” and tells him he got everything he could ever want, etc., just like it happened in the episode, and finishes by asking “What are you gonna do now, Dean?” (Reasoning: It’s important we know for sure that Dean is NOT codependent anymore and that he doesn’t expect to have a miserable afterlife just because his brother is not there yet).
Instead of saying “I think I’ll go for a drive” Dean says, “I think I know what I want” and walks towards baby. Bobby still tells him to have fun. (Reasoning: “Know what I want” is ambiguous enough to help us introduce the last piece of the puzzle, the one thing Dean’s wanted for many seasons and has never been able to express).
 The biggest change is coming:
Dean gets on the Impala and has a moment of silence while he contemplates the wheel. He begins to pray: “Hey, Cas, you got your ears on? I hear you’ve been busy working on this updated Heaven with Jack. You were right about him, Cas. You had faith in him and he saved us all. You could always see the best in everyone, even when they couldn’t see it themselves. Even when I couldn’t see it myself. There’s so much I want to tell you. Maybe you can visit sometime. I hope prayer’s still a thing up here.” (Reasoning: Dean’s side of the confession was unaddressed and that was terrible writing. If there was no way to get him to speak his truth textually, at least take him as close to it as possible).
We listen to a flutter of wings and a “Hello, Dean” from the back seat. We don’t see Cas, but the camera shows us Dean’s cocky smile and he says “Took you long enough.” He turns around slowly. End of scene. (Reasoning: The flutter of wings confirms that angels have their wings back and ties that loose end. The final “hello, Dean” was highly anticipated and it made sense. If Misha couldn’t be there to film, for whatever reason, or if the problem was the kind of conversation Dean and Cas would have, then don’t show it, but leave the door open. Let us know that the two characters were reunited and will talk, but whatever Dean has to say is so private that it’s not for us to hear, only for Cas.
We finally hear “Carry on my wayward son” and get a montage that begins with Sam playing with his kid. Then we see Dean driving, super happy, and Sam living his life to the fullest. We still get Sam’s Blurry Wife, BUT… we see pictures of Eileen in the living room (not just of John, Mary, Sam, and Dean). We also see photos of Jody, Donna, Charlie, and AU!Bobby. (Reasoning: FAMILY DON’T END IN BLOOD).
The scene where Sam is wearing the party wig and looks miserable inside the Impala is cut and nobody talks about it ever again because it never existed. We get a scene of Sam teaching his son how to fix the car instead. (Reasoning: First of all, don’t give Sam a life where years later he’s still in pain. Second of all, the fucking wig was a crime).
Sam’s dying scene stays the same. The only thing is that his son signs a couple of phrases to him before actually speaking. (Reasoning: More confirmation that Dean Jr. is Eileen’s son).
We hear the final “Evanescence-like Carry on my wayward son”. Again we see the photos and there’s family other than the Winchesters there. (Reasoning: Obvious at this point).
The rest is exactly the same. The show began with two brothers and it’s okay if the last scene is with the two brothers reunited in Heaven. At this point, the other parts of the story are acceptable enough for us to feel happy that they get to see each other again after years of a happy (after)life.
Now look me in the eye and tell me this was too hard to execute. I still think that bad writing is a thing we can’t deny here, adding to the possible meddling of the Network. Maybe Dabb wanted us to hate the finale because he couldn’t get away with what he truly wanted. If that was his intention, then kudos to him. He and The CW really gave us a finale that only 30% of the fandom liked.
I hope you guys have enjoyed this and it helps to give you some peace of mind. In my heart, this was the finale we got. It wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t drop the ball either.

Heya Vtubers! It's nice to see people moving over from twitter - as much as people joke about "amping up the cringe" to drive people off, tumblr's more welcoming than you're expecting!
My ask box is definitely open if people have questions and I've seen some help starter guides floating around, and figured why not make my own too?
This isn't about how to use tumblr though it's about a lot of the common in jokes/memes that float around. Tumblr culture works very different than Twitter culture - memes dont really come and go, they stick around. Part of this is because you can reblog posts multiple times - and yes I know good memes stick around on twitter too, but it's a very different slowness to Tumblr meme culture
This does in fact mean someone can and will flood your dashboard with repeats of the same post and yes I'm looking at you reg
We've got some silly weekly traditions like out of touch thursday, wizard wednesday, and fingers in his ass sunday and yes people Do re-reblog that shit every week. If you tell me "I like your shoelaces" I will, very stupidly, blurt out the first thing that comes to mind and it will be "Thanks I stole them from the president"
The rest shall be under a readmore because this got Very long. It's not all the memes but its a lot of my favorites that I see pretty often.
the "color theory" post
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if someone says anything about color theory especially if they mentioned "children's hospital" they're likely referring to this
The skeleton wars preceded my entry onto tumblr but that was in fact a thing learn your history
Mishapocalypse was also a thing, but more relevant, is our newest holiday, Nov 4-5th
Tumblr media
I hate to say you had to be there, but it really was a sort of manic energy you can experience in the moment. It didn't matter if you liked supernatural, destiel, sherlock, or anything, we All held hands on Nov 5th

The queen's death came mildly close, but there won't another queerbait like it. This is also the origin of the superhell meme for my fellow LGBT+

Speaking of the queen, tumblr had been waiting to celebrate her death for a Long time. People will be respectful about how her death affected shit for everyone, but they aren't going to be respectful towards her or the royal family here. We had our crab raves ready for Years before she finally kicked the bucket.
We did enjoy the sexyman polls btw, even if you twitter people were silly enough to host them offsite
"Daily Dracula" isn't just tumblr specific, but it is very popular here. It's an email newletter that sends snippets of the classic novel in real time with dates from the book.

I don't have room for the entirety of the Connecticut Clark saga but its a lovely comic and Cark and Malfina are All our blorbos

You may be familiar with tumblr celebrating the Ides of March (also a very real holiday respect our traditions), so heres another history meme we've got. If people joke about the value or copper or Ea-nasir, theyre referring to this post

Around 2017, there was a time where nazi, pedo, terfs and other sorts of shit blogs were taken over by someone using Toy Story's Woody as an icon and Howdy Pardner as a blog title. Eventually the whole thing got out of hand but whoever originated Woody's Roundup was pretty funny

Popularity on tumblr is hard to gauge, but theres a few blogs out there that just Everyone knows.
We know Sixpenceee for the "Sixpenceee Heals" incident among others,
we know about thejorie's Three Weed Smoking Girlfriends,
we had bone stealing witches at one point, but not sure if they're still hanging around
Tumblr media
thecybersmith is well known for being the Human Pet Guy among other incredibly weird takes. i think they also went to twitter but they've got a Reputation here for sure
we are Very Aware about John and Hank Green due to an incident when editing other people's posts was a thing, and people edited one of John Green's posts to be very nsfw. There's a bit of a back and forth on this one whether it was actually funny or not, but this incident did drive them off tumblr which makes John Green's recent string of tweets Fascinating

The wizard blogs are special to us, please be polite to them and pay your wizard tithes on time. I don't listen to the wizard council though, I'll cast transmute idaho if I want to.
Tumblr media
People are sometimes really bad about reading the op of a post, and one-time-i-dreamt is well known for jumpscaring people with posts that seem like almost real encounters until you realize the blog title means this was something someone dreamed
There's definitely more but i woke up in a cold sweat at 3:30 am to write this and its now 5am so I'll leave it at that. add your favorite tumblr specific memes if you'd like.
tumblr loves to beat a dead horse (or put it in a plinko) so dont be afraid to reblog old jokes, or put a new spin on an old joke, or be like Reg who regularly reblogs the "i control the paladins" tiktok fifty times in a row when people get a bit too weird in their notes (not an exaggeration. I learned tumblr hotkeys for you my beloved mutual)

I'm a colorado anon who lives about 45min from denver and could now *possibly* be tempted to buy a single-day pass to go to my first (only) spn con..... 🤔
*whispers* do it, do it, do it!!!
welcome to, people talk about dencon in my inbox
apparently alex's panel was moved from saturday to sunday and now i'm worried he's gonna have to do his panel with wanker texas ranger... alex won't be able to get a word in sideways rip
rip alex, someone beer him strength please
Right as I’m about to go to sleep, the good news hits lmao. Anyways I am having thoughts. Because if Jensen can’t be there on Sunday, why didn’t they just move J*red’s panel to Saturday as well? He’s there on Saturday too right? Because no matter which side you’re standing on, this does not look good for j/2’s professional relationship after his temper tantrum. Their PR teams must be sweating buckets right now lol. Anyways the j/2 fallout is the gift that keeps on giving and I am here for it. -poker face anon
maybe the schedule won't allow extra room for a j/2 panel on saturday? or maybe it will still happen but they have to figure out where to put it. in any case its very funny for how long it lasts shfdshf
Chaos strikes again and I am LIVING for it! This is the best night since J*red's meltdown Twitter tantrum (someone please ask "et tu, Brute?" at his now-solo panel and then just like walk out of the room skjbghdskl). Jensen and Misha both there on Saturday, you KNOW they won't be able to resist crashing each other's panels. Magnets cannot help but draw together. - Honeymoon Anon, cackling into the night
MAGNETS CANNOT HELP BUT DRAW TOGETHER!!!! so true bestie. god bless.
oh my god i cannot wait for the denver schedule to be released
sameeee
i didn’t want to wait until february for jib to give me a jenmish panel and then possibly not even happen. this is (potentially) a delightful turn of events.
i still don't think it will happen (cause creation con is a bastard) but just the thought of them there at the same time is making me go bananas
It’s the fact that he rescheduled his panel for professional reasons and didn’t even try to say it was a scheduling conflict for me. J2 fallout confirmed yet again and still going strong, which I must say makes me irrationally happy lmao. Also, I’m manifesting a cockles panel hard now
ikr, it's so funny shfsdhf
As much as I'm enjoying the memes, I don't think this has anything to do with J*red. But it does reflect on what Jensen thinks about Destiel, because he's more likely to get those questions Saturday, even if there isn't a Jenmish panel, which I think there will be.
i mean, me neither, but it’s still funny. and idk if jensen is even thinking about the kind of questions if im being honest. but. i am very curious.
