        It wasn’t unusual for me to get funny looks as I sold papers. I was pretty much desensitized to it at this point. Even from the occasional asian I encountered. I didnt blame them- I was unusually tall for a Korean. It was unusual to see a six foot korean seling papers. Me and York had both been asked if we were even still kids on multiple occasions. I didn’t mind being asked that. I was currently talking to an old woman, handing her pape. She smiled at me and walked off. I smiled to myself, it was nice to see an older person who didn’t call me fifteen slurs. I was leaning against the wall of a nearby alleyway, taking a small break. I’d sold my papers, but i wasn’t quite ready to go back to the lodge yet. A couple other kids my age walked by, two girls and two boys. The girls waved at me and I nodded in acknowledgment. One of the boys just ignored me, him snf the girls walked away, doing whatever theyd been doing. I sighed softly in irritation at the other one. he was squinting his eyes at me, putting his fingers on the corners of their eyes, a cruel imitation of my own. I grounf my teeth.

   “dog breath! dog breath!” He singsonged, squinting his eyes at me

  “moose moose!” I bit my tongue, id heard it all before- ching chong, bucket head, dog breath, yobo, kink. It always pissed me off to no end. He was giggling at my face, continuing with the squinty eyes and the slurs. 

   “Gook” And then i lost my temper. It wasn’t like i hadnt been teased about it before, I thought as I slammed the kid against the brick wall. I was just at my wits end today. The kid managed to get in about two good hits to my face before i knocked him out

    “더러운 빌어먹을 넓은 눈! (dirty fucking pig)” I snarled at him, hitting him over and over until his blood was coating my fists. i released him, watching him slump to the ground.

Nobody questioned when I came back to the lodging house bloody, it wasnt an unusual sight. I had a short temper and i was a target for slurs and such. i stalked to the bathroom and looked for a towel. I started to scrub at the partially dried blood on my fists and forearms. I didn’t bother looking in the mirror, id worry about that when I had too. I heard Bart talking, and i heard a familiar voice. i smiled slightly as Ike poked his head into the bathroom. His eyes widened as he looked at me 

“I- shot- what happened?” I started to wash the blood off my face, scrubbing at it 

“uh- nothin-“ I mumbled. Ike approached me and took the towel, reaching up to wipe off my face. I sat on one of the stools, resting my elbows on my knees. Ike took my face in his hand and started to wipe off the blood. I felt him squish my cheeks affectionately and i rolled my eyes.

“Don’t lie to me, what happened?” He said, gently scrubbing my face. I looked down at my hands and shrugged

“mmm- jus- nothin-“ I mumbled out in response. 

“Hunter-“ Ike said warningly

“…yes Isaac?” I replied, looking up at him

“Is this your blood?”

“a bit i think- I think my nose was bleedin’ a lil-”

“Okay will you please tell me what happened?” 

“jus a lil fight love” I mumbled, he continued scrubbing mg face. I hummed, wiggling as he squished my cheeks again.

“stawpppp-“ I whined, wiggling and making a face . He grinned and kissed my nose. I scrunched up my face

 “don do tha I got blood all ova’ me-“ I mumbled. Ike continued wiping off my face, humming

“And you’re somehow still beautiful ” He replied happily. I felt my face flush and I buried ny face in my hands, make an embarrassed sound 

“Isaacc-“ I whined

“hold still and lemme clean you up” Ike replied, lifting my face up so I had to look at him. I twisted my hands in my lap, not wanting him to get upset with me. he finished soon after and kisses my nose

“are you mad?” I asked him, looking at him. He shook his head, i frowned slightly. Ike had a very specific look he got when he was upset. His nose would scrunch up and his eyes would squint slightly, it was sometimes accompanied by a small frown or a little squeak noise. It was adorable.

“Ikey what’s wrong baby?” I asked him, gently hugging him. He whined and shrugged.

“do you wanna know what happened?” I asked him, standing up and stretching my arms. He nodded 

“I just lost my temper” I murmured in response, kissing his hair. He looked up at me with puppy eyes.

“why?” He asked softly

“He just- mmm-“ I scrunched my face, making him giggle “He called me some slurs”

“again?” Ike asked, with wide eyes. I nodded, kissing his hair. He hummed and hugged me, squeezing me. I giggled slightly, stiffening in shock at the sudden hug.

“I love you” Ike said against my chest, his voice muffled “my pretty boy”  I hummed and kissed his face

“i love you too Ikey” I hummed. Ike looked up at me again with puppy eyes.

“what is it hon?” I asked, rubbing his back

“Cuddles?” He asked, his puppy eyes intensifying. I nodded, picking him up. He looked up at me and grinned

“I love you Hunter”

“I love you too Isaac”

“you’re so pretty” he murmured, kissing the corners of my eyes. I giggled, kissing his hair all over. He grinned up at me, sticking out his tongue. I kissed the tip of it and he giggled loudly. I awwed and kissed him again

a/n: OKAY SO!

First of all, I haven't written fanfic since March, and this is the first piece I've written about Alex. I am so nervous to post this lol, but I low-key thinks its really cute. Secondly, it doesn’t necessarily follow the true story about him shaving his head because I'm pretty sure he did it on tour? Not too sure. This is also a shoutout to all the pretty bitches who love TBHC (& the car). They’re such beautiful albums and I can’t understand suddenly ditching a band because they’re changing and evolving! To each their own but you can’t deny they are masterpieces ✨

But enjoy this made up moment I constructed in my delusional head trying to fall asleep a few nights ago :) p.s i am NOT a great writer lol but I do have pieces for Pedro Pascal on my blog as well.

Warnings (?): mid writing 😭😂, tons of fluff, idk if you'd consider it angst but reader is a tad grumpy, insecure AND confident Al?, tbhc era, buzz cut Al!, alcohol, oh & some cheesy British slang cuz why tf not

You exhausted a big sigh as you pulled up to your house. The rain was incessant; refusing to give up as it continued pelting down, creating a symphony of noise on your vehicle. “Fuckin’ rain,” you mumbled under your breath as you prepared for the journey to your front door. You mentally crossed your fingers in anticipation, hoping Alex noticed the text you had sent earlier about leaving the door unlocked. 

“3…2…1,” you counted to yourself as you quickly pushed the driver's door open and made a dash towards the front door of yours and Alex's house. To your benefit, Alex must have seen the text as the large door swung open with one turn of the cold, metal knob. 

You let out another sigh of relief as you sat on the cushiony soft ottoman in the front entry of the house. You pondered for a minute as you let the warm air wash over your body, relieving you from the cold and damp world outside. Today wasn’t your day, to say the least, you were knackered. Work was a mess; your boss continually nagged at you over the smallest things and nearly every one of your coworkers were in a sour mood. You faulted the weather outside as no one was ever in a good mood with weather like this, but your fuse was short and you were thankful to be back in the comfort of your own home.

After debriefing the day with your own thoughts, you removed your shoes and made your way into the house. The cool tile of the kitchen floor eased your sore feet as you reached for a bottle of your favourite wine and poured yourself a generous glass. Your brows furrowed as you took your first sip; typically you’d have heard from Alex at this point, but you were yet to hear his silky soft voice greeting you.

 

Alex’s mind raced back and forth as he sat in front of the washroom mirror. His fingers fondled the set of hair clippers before placing them on the counter. He knew what he was about to do would entail more attention and more criticism, but he hoped it would help the fans realise that the monkeys were entering a new era and that to be quite frank, they would continue to change and evolve no matter the criticism. 

He checked the time on his phone, the illuminating screen read 5:42. “Fuck,” Alex cursed to himself. He knew you’d be arriving from work shortly and he was uncertain of your reaction to his somewhat spontaneous decision. Of course your opinion mattered to him, but Alex knew deep down that this change was necessary, at least to himself. “Alright mate, just go for it,” he muttered to himself before reaching for the clippers. 

Unbeknownst to Alex, you had been home for the last few minutes, going about your own business. With one last deep breath Alex pressed the power button and the hair clippers came alive. “Al?” Your soft voice met Alex’s eardrums. He quickly brought the clippers closer to his hair as both his heart rate and breathing increased in speed. “In here, darlin’.”

  

You ventured towards the shared bedroom, noticing a sliver of warm light peeking through the ensuite bathroom door as you entered the contrastingly dark room. “Al?” you called out softly, not wanting to disturb his privacy. “In here, darlin’,” his rich voice echoed back to you from the washroom. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself - you had been craving Alex’s comforting presence all day. He was always the cure to a shite day.

But when you reached the door and gently pushed it open you were met with an unexpected sight. Alex was propped up in front of the large mirror on a barstool from your kitchen, hair clippers in hand, seconds from shaving away his long brown locks. “Bloody hell Alex! Have you gone crazy? What are you doing?” Your reaction came out much harsher than intended but you most definitely weren’t expecting to come home to Alex attempting to shave his hair off. 

Alex’s hand came to a still, nearly inches before meeting his hair. His big brown eyes stared at you through the reflection of the mirror and for a few moments the only sound that filled the room was the low buzz of the hair clippers. “I-,” Alex paused for a second, looking down at the hair clippers as his hand rested them on the counter. He internally cursed himself, wishing he went about this at an earlier time. “With all the stress over the new album I just thought, ‘why not have a new look too?’, everyones already chatterin’ about…” he trails off with a shrug, a light pink tint washing over his cheeks. 

You huffed, setting down your glass of wine before your arms came to wrap around Alex. Your head found solace in the crook of his neck and your eyes met his gaze in the mirror. You gave him a small smile, “Oh Al, I know this has been an odd time for you, but are you sure you want to do this right before the tour starts?” You placed a gentle kiss on the ridge of his jaw, the light stubble tickling your chapped lips. He returned a sheepish smile, “I do, love.”

You removed yourself from his shoulder, “Alright then mister, hand the clippers over.” A childish grin replaced the shy smirk on his face as he realised the intentions of your words. He fixed his posture and straightened out his back, proceeding to run his hands through his precious locks one more memorable time. “Have at it, darlin’.” 

You tousled Alex’s hair a few times before beginning to drag the clippers through his strands. You watched his face soften as his eyes gently closed and he began to embrace the affectionate moment. “I love you,” he said, just above a whisper as his locks began to fall over his shoulders onto the floor. “I love you too Al, I’m sorry for how I reacted… today was just one of those days,” you responded with an equally quiet tone and yet another exhausted sigh. You questioned how many times you could sigh in just one day, making you let out a quiet laugh to yourself. “Is that so?” Alex chuckled as he slowly opened his eyes and met your mirroring stare with a cheeky smile. 

The two of you continued to sit in an intimate silence as you finished the job, Alex’s hand reached backwards to keep a compassionate hold on your leg during the close proximity. You clicked the power button on the clippers and set them down on the counter, delicately placing your hands on Alex’s shoulders to give him a supportive squeeze as he revelled in the moment. His one hand raised, brushing over the short and stubbled hair that now resided on his head. 

“It’s quite alright, isn’t it?” his baritone voice ringed through the small space as a smile grew on his face. “Ya know what?” you started before pausing as you squeezed yourself in between Al and the vanity, bringing both your hands to cup his face as you stood in front of him. “It sure is, sweetheart,” your voice squeaked as you quickly closed the space between the two of you with a passionate kiss, enveloping him in a tight and loving embrace. 

His soft lips were like medicine, as if he could kiss away all the stress and pain. “I am so proud of you. You always do what you feel is best no matter the criticism and that’s really respectable, Al.” His smile beamed, the confidence now radiating off of him the same way the sun radiates a warm comforting glow on a summer day. “I have a good feelin’ about this tour, love. Once the fans hear this album live I think they will truly fall in love with it, just as much as I’ve fallen in love with you,” he says as he lovingly looks at you. You giggled, “Absolutely, Al. You cheeky bugger.”

I'm putting these together because it's mutual-- RTE and Lugnut HATE each other. RTE absolutely CANNOT fragging stand all of Lugnut's Megatron hero worship, even more so then Megs himself, and Lugnut not only dislikes RTE in turn but 1000% believes they're some kind of traitor. they hang around Autobots all the time, they don't respect Megatron's orders, AND they help Starscream all the time, and he's a traitor!

...honestly it's probably for the best, I feel like they'd be a lethal combo against Autobots if they actually got along.

RTE has been around since the beginning of actual franchise canon so. everyone LMAO. BUT the reason I'm putting these together is because the answer is D-16, of course aka Megatron.

everyone knows RTE always has been, always will be a Starscream loyalist. but they can respect someone who's willing to be loud and dramatic and bring the fucking smackdown, and that's what D-16 did the first time RTE ever encountered him. and like Shockwave and Soundwave, RTE did just kind of nod and go along with Dee kicking Starscream's aft. I mean, he literally asked for it, and he was kind of weirdly into it, so whatever. it's Starscream. this is pretty status quo, he's fine, and the mission is still fuck up Sentinel Prime. and then Dee stood up for his friend to Sentinel-- THE Sentinel Prime, the most powerful bot on Cybertron-- without flinching. Respect. kid's intense, but damn, that was cool.

RTE was actually good with Megatron initially. sure he was a lot less chill with everything than Starscream, but RTE still got away with whatever they wanted, as long as the mission was complete, and that's really never been an issue. plus the little fanbot wanting everyone in his club to have his idol's logo is, yk, pretty wholesome, honestly. sure buddy, I'll get matching tattoos with you and the squad, Megatronus Prime was cool as fuck, purple is my color, etc etc.

then all of the... trauma started to come out more and more in the form of abuse, with Megatron turning a lot of the cruelty on Starscream especially. RTE can turn a blind optic to a lot of things, and Megatron was still for the most part focused on the mission and otherwise fine to be around. but hurting their best friend, the bot they have followed since the Primes fell, for no real reason and in such a way RTE began to struggle to see the difference between Megatron and Sentinel himself...

RTE tried to stand up for Starscream once and once only. it didn't end well. and when Megatron gave Shockwave the spy mission on Cybertron RTE took it VERY personally that he'd endanger their brother, of all 'cons, like that. they're still extremely sore about it. needless to say RTE lost respect for Megatron the more he lost himself to, well, becoming Megatron.

modern day canon [none of them quite remember the time around TF One; everyone has bits and pieces but not a clear picture], they're largely neutral towards each other, or at least Megatron doesn't give a damn what RTE gets up to, and they don't care to report it to him. RTE is uninterested in his goals and wants Starscream in charge so they can focus on taking down Cybertronian government, not... whatever weird Earth vendetta plan Megatron is about, here. the scavenger is a Decepticon, and Megs isn't all bad, no question about it-- I mean, look at all the shit he puts up with-- they just... can't shake this feeling, like Megatron is the scarred surface of someone RTE used to like better. someone they can almost see when Optimus Prime is around. strange, isn't it?

I mean they did actively try to kill Bumblebee for the first two seasons or so of TFA so depending who you are that's gonna count ig

(RTE is a Deception scavenger, you can take your pick between the general likely mass murder, the cannibalism, and whatever other terrible shit 'cons get up to LMFAOOOOO. there's no actual answer for this either RTE is just casually bad across the board 😂😂)

We’re all simmers, doing this crap in our FREE time, and no one should be financially responsible for bankrolling your hobby. If you’re that strapped for cash and are so proud of your CC skillz, go to T$R, or better yet: game developer applications are right here (and make sure you’re unionized, because REGULATION ACTUALLY PROTECTS PEOPLE--game makers and game players alike). The paywalled economy has been an unmitigated and unregulated capitalist hellscape since its inception, and it’s high time EA got the gumption to at least address the problem, let alone enforce anything.
