simon would rev up to catch up with the car and absolutely smack the window i fear :(( not even to break it because he’s still a gentleman, RAHH, but fold it inwards since they (car driver) don’t seem to use it anyway :/

he’ll take the next exit, looking at the mirrors to see if you’re right behind him, before turning on his hazard lights and stopping at a safe area. you follow suit, head tilted in confusion as you watch simon dismount and walk towards you.

you flip your visor up. “what’s wrong?”

“nothing,” he says, taking his helmet off. “jus’ makin’ sure y’r alright.”

this makes your stomach clench, your cheeks filling up with warmth.

“yeah,” you reply, clearing your throat. “you?”

“i’m fine.” he knocks his knuckles on your fuel tank. “y’did good keepin’ calm.”

you giggle, your adrenaline now spiked with giddiness—it seems like no matter how long you two have been together, simon still manages to make your breath run ragged; your heart beating within your ribs as heat envelops you whole. it’s unsaid, his love for you, but it burns, bright and protective.

“thanks.” you rub at your neck, lips still tugged up in a full smile. “knew someone’s got my back, so.”

“i always will,” simon huffs, serious, before ducking his head down in his shyness. you catch the flush rising to his ears, anyway, and you bite at your bottom lip to keep down the giddy giggles.

Finally got to see these freaks in action! And... they were bullying an old man. Which was very cool, because Ketheric is the worst dad ever. Then they left to let ME bully that old man, which was even cooler. Great first impression. (NO SPOILERS PLEASE I AM VERY SLOW)

I love how they say so much about Ed&Izzy relationship by Ed not looking at Izzy most of the time, by Izzy being usually behind him. It's about Izzy protecting Ed, about Ed trusting Izzy, about Ed ignoring Izzy, not letting him in. It's about Izzy living in Ed's shadow, taking care of the unpleasant or boring stuff. About their power imbalance and how Izzy doesn't question it. But one interpretation I haven't seen much, is that Stede has to see Ed from the front, but Izzy sees behind.

Stede get to see what Ed wants to show him, but Izzy sees uncomfortable truth behind the "scene".

movie sonadow would be so l umity-coded…and i say this bc their dynamic is similar to the games but with a different and tender perspective: they both empathize deeply with each other now, and this shadow is not as reticent or closed off bc of that. that being said: movie!sonic would ABSOLUTELY 'YOU'RE the sweet potato!' the hell out of shadow

when does jason learn to drive?

cause according to a quick google search, you can't drive in new jersey until you're at least sixteen. and jason dies when he's fifteen.

he definitely didn't learn when he was comatose, and probably not with the league. did he have to teach himself? did bruce teach him before he died? did dick teach him to spite bruce? did he learn when he lived on the streets? does he somehow never learn and use it as an excuse to never drive any batkid around?

how many times did he crash before he finally figured it out? has officer grayson ever pulled him over for going 20 miles above the speed limit, asked for id, only for jason to just drive off? does he just drive like a maniac? do his siblings avoid driving with him at all costs to stay away? how many people has he tramuatized?

"Wally and Bruce's dynamic in the JLU cartoon only works because Barry isn't there to be a father figure to Wally" have you considered that in the comics that this cartoon was drawing from for inspiration Barry was dead? That he never got to see Wally leave Kid Flash and grow into the Flash mantle and become a member of the Justice League? And that this did kinda leave Bruce - someone on the League he was already more familiar with than he was with most others, someone who was close friends with his own mentor as well as being the mentor of one of his close friends - as a sort of intermediary mentor figure in the early years when he was adjusting to his role in the League?

Yeah their dynamic is somewhat different in those comics than in the show, but imo the shared history and relationships make them more interesting, and the lack of that in the show makes them less compelling.
