Not saying Marika is a saint, but I feel like the game shows she is capable of both extremes. Going to great lengths to shield Messmer and integrate new beliefs into the Order for Godwyn. But also throwing the omen twins into the sewers, even having shackles associated with them. I'm sure her position as a god also skews her bias of what are acts of affection. How does an ordinary person even begin to understand the mind of a divine god queen, I guess. She is both bad and good, depending on the perspective of the child.
