Oh I love Luka's Heartsong thing being a like super power

Okay while I was making my DP and DC Crossover this is what I had written down

Heartsongs are slightly affected by mood. For example Marinette's and Adrein's change a bit due to how they feel and act while wearing their Miraculous

Kwamii's have their own heartsongs.

When a Kwammi transforms with a holder who matches them it's difficult to distinguish either song, making it sound more like a complex melody rather then 2 different songs.

This resulted in Luka being able to tell there was something familiar about their songs, then Sass making him aware of Kwamii's and their heartsongs letting him figure it out a bit early.

When I refer to Luka's 'Heartsong' thing as Synesthesia, I mean that literally!

For people who don't know, Synesthesia is a condition where senses can get a bit mixed and one sets off the other. A common one is that people will hear a sound and see a color associated with it.

What Luka is doing is using his senses of Aura/Magic.

This sense /usually/ manifests in a touch-sensation. You'll see me describe it as a pressure or a tingling in the fingertips or something. But you can have a form of Synesthesia where it also comes along with another one of the senses.

In Luka's case, he's getting the an auditory sensory input alongside it, which results in him 'hearing' tunes and instruments associated with the different Magic singatures he's sensing.

Can people just stop cracking their knuckles without asking people first? Or at the very least, when they're told not to? The number of people who cracked their knuckles even more right after we asked them not to cause they think it's "funny" is rising. Stop. There are people who are severely triggered by it, just like us. It is unpleasant, we feel unsafe, gross, we have mirror-touch synesthesia that makes that noise even more triggering because we literally feel you do it and we hate it, and many, many other reasons. We are not mad at you cracking your knuckles, but how dare you crack them further after we asked you not to because you think us covering our ears and squirming in literal physical pain is funny? Jfc. The only reason it's acceptable and we won't get mad is if you literally cannot stop it because your body does it on its own, but you can sit for a few hours, or sometimes even MINUTES, and not do that, for me not to deal with horrible mental and physical pain, THANK YOU.

☂️ Most common fronters?

We have a lot of common fronters! Our frontstuck co-hosts & sys managers are the Prism, a monoconscious shapeshifting median subsystem of uuuhh 14 now I think, various origins. I'm a part of that. We're usually either an elf, a furry anthro, or some kind of void thing, and we're usually either hyperfixation holders or anxiety holders depending on the facet. Frequent co-fronters include lots of other people as well! Badeline, our tulpa, presents as a demon species-wise (I think it has something to do with reclamation?) and has a lot of hobbies in outerworld, including music & guitar, longboarding, and running her blog @protectingtulpas . Levana ( @wildfire-risk ) is a Sephi Sith apprentice and a small exotraumagenic subsystem, and she keeps us motivated and fiery! Casey ( @kitty-creamie-cookie ) is a soulbond from Cookie Run and our synesthesia holder, and she enjoys painting, combining alterhumanity and fashion, soft things, and lots more. The Vanilla Garden ( @vanilla-gardens ) is a phoenigenic traumagenic subsystem of 10 from Cookie Run, and while they've been quiet lately we still consider them frequent fronters. They help steady our emotions and keep us grounded, and we do so for them in return as well as we can. Lastly, Eluma is a neurotraumagenic Twi'lek Jedi that recently gained the capability to observe front almost constantly even when not noticeable by the main fronter, so she'll either pop up randomly to give us advice or ease our mind, or influence us via subtle passive influence she considers part of her skills with the Force.

Hmmm, good question? It's hard to average out the age of so many members. I'd say most of us average out in our thirties, but the 17-24 area is significant too. For a good number of us it's just hard to tell due to species differences - for example, our Octarians and Inklings tend to report a shorter lifespan than humans in their exomemories, so a 16 year old Cephaling is very different from a 16 year old human, yknow? A 16 year old Cephaling is a grown-ass adult according to our exomemories lmao

🪐 Most chaotic group?

What's defining "group" here?? This could have multiple answers depending on that. But eh, I'll just loosely interpret it. Our deity-aligned members tend to be pretty off their shits (/aff), like our Harbringer (LMK) fictive that can't have a conversation with anyone for more than three seconds because he's a ball of dangerous energy, or Chronos, our Timekeeper cookie fictive that delights in speaking in riddles and confusing people to all hell and back. What's been recently chaotic though is that we (unintentionally) introjected an entire subsystem at once- at first it was just one person, but then the other 10 came flooding in all at once, and due to their canon situation none of them are used to communication with the rest of their subsystem properly. So as a result when they're in front it's often a CACOPHONY of voices trying to speak over each other, make decisions, and wrest control. It's extremely chaotic!

Annual Name Tasting is Open

So about a year ago I discovered I have something called Lexical Gustatory Synesthesia, which means there’s wires in my brain that are crossed in a way that when I think of/read/pronounce words it triggers phantom tastes and sensations in my mind associated with them.

For example to me the word “red” tastes like bitter cacao nibs, the inside of ripe cherry skins, and a dark wood fence post. Does that make any logical sense? Nope. But it is pretty fun for me to focus on words enough for me to really get to savor and identify what I’m “tasting” since most of the time in day to day life the tastes blur past me unconsciously. Words, names, sentances and even writing styles have “flavors” to me which I actually use fairly often as a writer.

Last year when I first realized it was A Thing that not everyone had I let people submit asks with names or words for me to “taste” since I wanted to see if there were patterns I could find and the results were fascinating. I learned several things, including:

- the more names I consciously tasted the more complex and specific some of the tastes became, even sometimes including sensations, textures and temperatures

- the tastes weren’t constant, meaning the same name might trigger a different taste for me even a day later since my surroundings and mental state had shifted, sometimes the taste changes based on spelling or if I’m associating it with two different people who share the name

- the less familiar I was with a name or word (such as if it were in a foreign language) the less likely it was to be a food taste, instead being something like the taste of polished wood or in one memorable case the taste and texture of a chewed on seatbelt strap

Anyway, since it’s been about a year I thought it would be fun to open my inbox for another round if people are interested in knowing what a certain name or word “tastes” like to me. I’ll get to collect another set of information to study and people seemed to enjoy it last time so it feels like a fun win-win.

Couple reminders for name tasting:

Name: REM (Remingio E. McIntyre) Temperment: Choleric Alchemical Element: Fire Leaning: Altered Unconsciousness Alignment: Lawful Evil

Bio: REM is an ambitious bastard who knows his powers well. He's a smooth talker who tends to push others to do what he wants whether they're consciously allowed to do it or not. REM thrives off of making deals with others in order to get what he wants and put the other in a binding contract with him. Despite that, he works fair. If one can outwit him he's happy to let them go, and he has rules in place for his dealings and there are limits to where he can do. He's an extremely physical individual with the attitude of a car salesman and he will not let you get a word in edgewise, however. He's in opposition with Prudentia. REM's concept is based around Rapid Eye Movement sleep, the unconscious state where the body's eyes will flicker and the body has a propensity to dream. REM's body is also vaguely based around the concept of figures that sit beside a body when they are experiencing sleep paralysis. In fact it would be safe to say that IS actually him, trying to make deals with you in your dream state...

Name: Prudentia Temperment: Melancholic Alchemical Element: Earth Leaning: Unaltered Conscious Alignment: Chaotic Good

Bio: Prudentia, formerly Providence, is a more serious and honorable individual who also makes deals but in a more selfless state. Prudentia has the ability to see all around her and can catch on bullshit very quickly, though she's more likely to break the rules for her own sake to do what she thinks is right. She's studious, straight laced and appears to be bitter all the time and hates being around others as it can overwhelm her. Despite that, Prudentia's idea of good can weave in between helping the individual or being destructive in nature, and she has files (albeit messy and scattered) on her work as she treats it like a business.... which means you gotta pay, somehow. Prudentia's concept is based around the Eye of Providence with a more business approach. Her concept revolves around sight and the perception of the past, present and future.

Name: Id Temperment: Phlegmatic Alchemical Element: Water Leaning: Unaltered Unconsciousness Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Bio: Id tries to be peaceful and quiet. Naturally this is the state he wants to be, but like his element... he can turn on a dime. Id is entirely based around his name, which is the reactive based unconscious behavior. When pushed to a limit, and there's a lot of limits, he can snap and turn into a beast of unfathomable energy. As a result, Id comes across as very emotionless as he controls his emotions and prevents unnecessary encounters. Id rarely tries to be heroic or evil as he would rather not unleash any sort of beastly side.

Name: Qualia Temperment: Sanguine Alchemical Element: Air Leaning: Altered Consciousness Alignment: True Neutral

Bio: Qualia is entirely touch based. Qualia loves furs, feathers, bright colors, beautiful sounds, and hates ugly, smelly, gross things. Qualia also likes talking about themself to others and their own accomplishments in the arts and music and while they come across as very charismatic, they only focus on themself. They only work for you if they find it benefits them the most. Qualia also has synesthesia so sometimes their descriptions can be rather odd... like describing the taste of a tactile feeling, or the color of a sound. Oftentimes this means they hate a certain color because it tastes terrible.This also means if you know what Qualia's favorite textures and sounds are, it's easy to get on their good side.
