HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! HAPPY SPOOK HAPPY HAUNTING NIGHT!!! I present an Arttober challenge I completed :D

This was part of GinganinjaOwO's "ActuallyInfected" art challenge that took place for 20 days with 10 prompts each starting and ending every other day to get to play around with ideas, and the best part is that its all centered around the most common of art mistakes people face!! From marker bleed to files corrupting this was extremely fun I highly recommend checking it out even if its past October as its such a nice way to get yourself to learn to embrace the mistakes in your art rather then get worked up about them and stress:]

I decided to go full on traditional with this one with the hopes of getting back to my roots and enjoy just Creating for me without the worry of impressing an audience! I feel so proud of these especially after having not done traditional art in years Not to mention color anything without the burnt out defeat of it not looking like the exact colors on a ref sheet or what I had in mind. All in all very fun and here is what I made:D!!!

Day 4, Scrapped, based on a story I had scrapped then recently picked up and revised (my favorite one out of all of this I love it sm Sam my dear I'm sorry for what I'm putting you through<3)

Day 8 & 9, Tangled Thread & Blue Screen

Day 10, Anomalies (anime fight edito💥/j)

Since this I've been cracked out on making designs and sketches for projects and stories, I literally wake up and go to drawing and go to sleep excited to wake up and draw this is amazing

And a little extra doodle for the group of 6 in 'The Calamitous Heart' who didn't get an illustration focused on their suffering, he gets to sleep instead :D

Vibes and moods suggestions (open to interpretation): the kind of fatigue one only gets during/after a long trip, yearning for the person you are sitting right next to, the warmth of waking up with someone you love while feeling safe and rested, the trust of falling asleep on someone's shoulder, sharing a sunrise/sunset with someone and knowing you don't have to talk.

Oh this is such a lovely vibe!💕 I gave it my best!

I chose the song Just Like A Pill by P!nk because the song happened to worm its way into my head while reading the latest update and I wanted to see if it made for a good video (it got major copyrighted on youtube tho rip)

I honestly think it could be better, but I’ve wasted enough of my morning already hahah so take this as it is 😅

Hey I'm gonna say something. Steve's not like great with words or nothing. But every so often he scares himself by putting together the most beautiful set of words he feels like he's gotta go sit in a dark room for a minute.

One day Soda's joking around 'n he's like 'c'mon Steve, admit it. you only like me for my charming good looks.'

n Steve opens his mouth n is like 'no it ain't that. sure, you're hot. but... like a sunset at the gas station. ppl look at the sky n they miss that part of the beauty is that it's in a place that most ppl walk right on through. no one thinks a gas stations a tuff place to hang out until the suns making it look all gold.'

n there's like a half second of silence n Soda goes 'u do'

n Steve's like 'I'm gonna go sit in the laundry room for a minute' n they can all hear him muttering about how ponys poetic bullshit is rubbing off on him

@steddieangstyaugust Day 3: "The sunset looks lovely, don't you think?"

It's warm. Summer has well and truly started and the town is beginning to feel normal again now that the roads aren't cracked and nightmares are just that, nightmares.

The trailer has a fresh coat of paint as Steve leaves that afternoon, roof is fixed now thanks to the government. He and Wayne have been talking about making a deck to enjoy their quiet time on.

He had been reluctant when Wayne offered the space in the trailer, "I've spent over a decade on the cot I don't think a bed will fix my back now, besides, you're family, son." Steve won't admit it but his eyes barely held those tears in.

Max visits a lot, especially with Lucas at basketball camp and Hopper taking El and the Byers to the lake house he fixed up. Dustin visits too but Steve is over for dinner more often at Mrs Henderson's insistence.

Steve parks the car by the gate, swinging it open and making the slow walk up the hill. He sits down at the top, fiddling with the twine he wrapped around the wildflowers he picked this morning by the pond. The sky is glowing a soft orange.

"The sunset looks lovely, don't you think?"

"Not as lovely as you, sweetheart," Eddie says eyes shining, he always couldn't help a cheesy line if it made Steve smile.

They sat on this hill a lot last summer, even more after Starcourt and Eddie knew Steve needed moments away from the memory of it all. He was always good at knowing what Steve needed, even when Steve couldn't explain the monsters that haunted him were real.

"Dustin says the party has big plans for Hellfire in September, I caught will drawing some kind of dragon last week."

Eddie laughs, "Those kids are gonna ruin my reputation as the best DM the world has ever seen."

"Nah, they don't do the voices like you do." Eddie always knew how to get Steve to fall asleep.

"Should've recorded stories for you."

"I don't think I'd have been able to listen to them now."

"I wish we got more time."

"I would've taken your place."

"I wouldn't have let you."

"I know."

The sun is almost gone, it's still warm, the crickets have started singing.

"Will you be here tomorrow?"

"Always, Stevie."

Steve leans over, his lips brushing the stone, laying down the flowers.

The sun is gone now.

A light breeze blows, cold.

"Yeah, love you too, Eds.

i think the playlist got deleted bc it’s no longer in my likes, but i want you to know that rocked my world. like, absolutely. you are SO RIGHT Steve “The Hair” Harrington would vibe with that song. you’re so right. Steve would totally be vibing his ass off. it’s so Pretty Boy Steve Harrington showing off for his boyfriend-coded and you are SO RIGHT.

i simply saw the vision. i understood the assignment. it shifted my entire perspective on everything. and it changed the trajectory of my life.

anyway, i can’t find the playlist, but if anyone knows if it still exists, i’d be forever grateful<333

Steve smooths his hands over his knees a few times and takes a big breath. “I went uptown and I found the show. And your name wasn’t on the marquee. The show had already started but I went inside and asked for a program and there was no Eddie, Ed, Edward.” He gestures to Eddie with a huff. “Edwin.”

Eddie slowly unravels his arms from around himself and turns to Steve, one leg bent in like a half lotus. Steve’s tension deflates somewhat, like he just coaxed a wild animal out from under a car.

“I was sad that you didn’t show up, sure. I really wanted to see you. I really thought –”

Steve stops himself, averts his gaze. Eddie can only imagine what he really thought if he went through all those steps. Time off. Plane ticket. Perhaps explaining to people in his life why he was doing this completely insane thing in the first place. Standing by a working fountain, arcs of water sparkling in the sun, dogwood in bloom. Heart in his hands, maybe. Heart in his throat. Goddammit.

A doodle of Sunset and Ivy I did last night, I have yet to introduce these two and their story on Tumblr but a brief sum up:

Sunset Steve and Poison Ivy has been friends ever since they were little, through years of pain, betrayal, fear and more they still stick by each other in the end as they live their long lives in peace among others who hide from the dangers yet seek to repair their dying world.

This story is an AU of a Minecraft roleplay series of The Steve Saga with some elements of Rainbow Quest made by FavreMySabre, including my own touches on world building. A story I've had in the works for years now as well as designs that I personally am attached to and can't wait to start writing it all out :]!!

the outsiders is an amazing book nd we all know this,, but,, like,, my one complaint.

. . . why, why does everyone call it a sunset. Legit, it,, it WAS A SUNRISE??? I MEAN I GET LIKE,, HIM TALKING TO CHERRY ABOUT SUNSETS, BUT THE 'SUNSET SCENE' WAS WITH A SUNRISE IM SCREAMING WHY DON'T WE TALK ABOUT THIS MORE???

now we jst wait for someone to point out smth that completely dissolves my entire complaint.

A classic, old stand by. Mike and El consistently kiss and have romantic moments at night.

And their platonic

Or negative moments are in the morning

Whereas Mike and Will consistently have positive or romantic moments in the morning

With their only night ones being either negative for their relationship or goodbyes/something final (knowing or unknowing)

Also shoutout to the shed scene which I just realized is done at night despite being romantic because it is their last moment like that before El gets back!

Also makes me wonder about the ily2 scene, which takes place in the morning, and if that is, rather, emphasizing the fact that it's the first scene in the plotline of Mike's inability to say he loves her. That would make sense as, though it's played as romantic, we now know that it is starting a big plotline for the following season.

(If you're confused, mornings = new beginnings, night = endings is one of the oldest tricks in the book. So mornings is what will be their future and nights is what is/needs to come to a close. It's near universal, if not universal)

A great, direct example of this is also simply Mike saying goodbye to El at night and then staying up at the hospital to say hello to Will in the morning in 1x08. Establishes this really clearly for the audience.

Also, of course, can't talk about lighting without bringing up...

In general, seasons are typically ended in the morning with hints and lead-ins to the future seasons - with Mike, this is consistently El. The one time it ends with El, the season ends at night.
