In Chapter 148, not only Jin-ho showed up when Jin-woo was saying he would make every hunter in the world his enemy if it meant protecting his family. But also—

Hae-in risked her life in the Double Dungeon and faced the Architect without an ounce of fear in her eyes, fighting the giant statue to protect him when he was in his comatose state. She would not hesitate to go beyond for him that death was the least of her worries. Meanwhile, Jin-woo was ready to destroy anything before they could lay a hand on her. It doesn't matter how long he had known her, not when no words could describe how deep their bond was to him.

Hurt/comfort side, imagine how speechless she will be if Jin-woo reveals that he sees her as part of his family.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Lollipops, sex toys, stakeouts, building explosions, psycho teenagers, questionable sculptures, survivor’s guilt, legacy trauma, condom drawers, hidden cameras, violent chaebols, drones, scuba diving, and pet psychics.

HOT TAKE: Honestly we couldn't ask for better ushers on this emotional rollercoaster of a show than Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il. They are acting perfection through any emotion they need to convey.

Trigger warning: This show has some sharp scenes of stalking and underage abuse which many find unsettling. There is a heaping pile of justice doled out though, so if you can, bear with the violence for the results.

DRAMA REVIEW | The Auditors (2024)

I wish more dramas where like The Auditors. For starters, this drama is perfect in length: twelve episodes, no loose ends, actual character development, well paced. An airshot script that knew where the story and characters where going, its strengths and weaknesses, and that took advantage of all of it in order to bring one of the most entertaining kdramas of this year.

Yes, the story following a department of internal auditors at a large construction conglomerate is highly entertaining. That goes to show that it doesn't matter what the subject matter of a drama is, as long as the people in charge of production, casting, directing and acting know what they are doing and have a clear picture, it's a win.

The cinematography and camera work is fast paced, as it should, for this is an action drama full of intrigue, betrayal, murder and corruption. Like any story of this genre you have the typical archetypes in each key player but the performances manage to make them feel fresh and likeable. Some characters are meant to be more nuance and complex, those were a treat to watch as we dwell into their backstory and motivations.

The list of guest stars this show has is mind-blowing and I don't think enough people are talking about it. Every episode or so a familiar face shows up for a particular story arc. It varies from a recently famous actress to a veteran actor, character actor that you might not know their name but you definitely know their work. It's wild the amount of talented people involved in this project.

Overall, I found The Auditors to be a really solid drama and I recommend it.

Mini-review:

Well, this drama was entertaining, but nothing more. It was especially funny at the beginning, thanks to that sort of 'rivalry' between the leads. However, once they solved that and started moving into purely romantic territory, the story began to lose steam quickly. Tbh, I kept watching to the very end because of the sizzling chemistry between Jeon Jong Seo and Moon Sang Min. And I guess I wanted to see how in the world they were gonna clear up the mess created by the characters, which was pretty fascinating. I feel like the show would have been better if the director had put more thought into its style, cause the whole thing looked pretty cheap and bland. But still, Wedding Impossible is fun enough, and I can see fans of classic romcoms enjoying it a lot.

Divorce Attorney Shin - thoughts

an easy-to-watch, pleasant series that focuses on family standards and the good of children. however for me personally, in the end, it falls a bit flat.

thoughts in detail:

i really liked the beginning. it had tension, high stakes, and conflict - things were happening. but just as quickly as they began, they ended. and only then the real plot unravelled. which confused me and I wasn't too sure about the series anymore, its goal and what it is aiming for... i kept thinking about the first conflict and how good it was. it also didn't help that they kept referring to it, turning what seemed to be the secondary character into the main character.

the series also tried to introduce different cases, which focused on family relations and the issues. which was a nice touch and a good, solid focal point. but at the same time, it kept on going about the first case, and the main case, which, for me, was introduced too late. and so it seemed like they tried to fit too many eggs in one basket. doing too much yet not enough for each case. personally, I wanted to know more about the secondary characters. wanted to see their story. instead of an introduction, build-up and then a simple "Oh we solved it!" I felt, if this was the way they wanted to plan the series, they should've tried it more like in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Or kept the other cases altogether in the background, so we can focus on the main plot of the series.

in relation to the romance, i felt it was not exactly existent. they tried to have it in with the secondary characters but there was no chemistry and it felt awkward, odd and unnecessary at times. i will not lie though I loved, loved, loved the main character with the character from the first case, which later joined the team. They had a nice chemistry. They understood each other, supported one another and were both kind-hearted. But then again, it actually made sense they didn't develop a romantic relationship, because of the female character's backstory.

On the other hand, the bromance was absolutely perfect! The three main characters were brilliant. So well matched together with their personalities and so I felt a bit of a shame the series didn't focus more on them and their relationship. How they came to be, why their bond was so strong, and what kept them together like this. In fact, I would've been happy if the drama wouldn't have any romantic relationships at all, but focused more on the family bond - whether a real family or a chosen one.

But in relation to the characters, especially the main ones, I didn't actually feel any development or growth - except for the female character. In fact, I feel she was more of a main character than any other one. her story, the challenges she faced, and the emotional growth and change by the end. it was all very evident there. what made me a little bit sad, is that there was definitely potential for other characters to grow too. but it appears it was simply missed.

I think I could talk much more about it! But overall, I felt there were a lot of things that could be better. However, it is not the worst. it's still a nice watch, especially since it is 12 episodes. And Cho Seungwoo is brilliant in it. If you are looking for something easy enough, that is also funny and touching, give it a watch for sure!

Look, don’t expect any coherent reviews for this one - this is a rewatch and yet I remain a hopeless, lust-drunk mess. Every meticulously plotted revenge step feels like seduction - slow, deliberate, devastating. The Glory doesn’t just grip me - it drags me under, leaves me breathless, wanting, ruined.

I just want to do crimes and make out with both Yeojeong and Dong-eun. Maybe also swing by the UK once in a while to babysit Ye-sol and smash her dad. I DON’T KNOW GIVE ME A BREAK I AM HAVING MY BI AND POLY AWAKENING HERE AT THE SAME TIME.

Also, wdym “Tell me, who do you want me to kill first?” and “I’ll be your executioner” and “Use me” and “I’ll do anything you want me to do”?? WHO ARE YOU, YEOJEONG?? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME??

And yes, I also wanted to see Dong-eun sleep with Doyeong at least once - but without making my baby Yeojeong unhappy. I DON’T KNOW. The sexual tension and THIRSTING FOR LITERALLY EVERYONE in this series made me just a little bit feral.
