The Devil Judge Rewatch Ep 10 (Part 3)
Continuation of Part 2, which can be found here.
Here, I want to start off with one word - manipulation.
And we have Jinjoo, manipulating the public to gain popularity with this interview.
It's sad, seeing her change so much from how she was in the beginning.
And Gaon, watching it all from the sideline. He could tell how 'fake' Jinjoo was and wasn't impressed at all, unlike the PD, Hwaryong.
And it isn't Jinjoo who had changed.
Gaon had too. Look at him manipulating Jinjoo in order to put Jukchang on trial during the live court show.
His expression clearly shows how some 'Yohan' had rubbed off on him. Knowing that the video will provoke Jinjoo enough that she will jump on board.
And like Yohan, he didn't reveal his true agenda, which is to get at the president by making use of Jukchang.
And I know many people had said online that Yohan should have included Jinjoo in his plans as well.
But I think, right from the beginning, Yohan already knew Jinjoo had this ambitious seed buried in her.
Yohan is, I feel, pretty good at sizing people up, especially those who might turn around and stab him in the back.
With the kind of shitty background he had grown up in, it's no surprise at all how sharp he was when it comes to detecting potential 'threats'.
And with how Jinjoo had become in this episode, Yohan was right after all.
Next, we have Elijah 'manipulating' KU Security in order to help Gaon.
She's so smart and clever, I couldn't help but wonder what if it's her who had taken revenge instead of Yohan?
I think those she had gone after, they would have suffered a much worse fate than dying from a bomb on national TV.
Elijah will have wiped out whatever wealth or assets they possessed. It will be a piece of cake with her brains and her computer expertise. And she wouldn't have stopped there. Probably digging up enough dirt, fake or real, and spreading them online. So much so that there wouldn't be anywhere that they can continue living their lives without someone pointing fingers and shaming them. Which, I think, is a much worse fate than being blown to bits.
And here, we have her 'charming' Gaon into letting her help him.
And I'll never tire of watching Elijah being so good at what she is doing. And which I will post in Part 4 since I've reached my photo limit.
For Part 1 .
#the devil judge#the devil judge rewatch#gahan#kang yohan x kim gaon#lawful husbands#yohan x gaon#i just love love them and i want to rave about them.#and gosh Im finally onto the final 6 episodes#which will be so much more angst but definitely going to try and find every single ray of hope there is

Theory: Stolas' trial
I'm going to put my theories about what will happen in Mastermind/Sinsmas in order.
At the beginning of each episode, we have a content warning. In it, we can hear a "ticking", very similar to the noise of the hands of a clock. This ticking starts in the episode "Truth Seekers" and recently some people have pointed out how the sound has decreased over the episodes. In the beginning it played during the entire warning, in "The Full Moon", it stops halfway through the warning.
Another interesting detail that we can notice in the warning is the symbol that appears in the background. This symbol is known as "Devil's Trap" and originally appears in "Solomon's Clavicle" (no, it's not from Supernatural), a grimoire with a vast collection of ancient spells, with the Devil's Trap being a spell used to immobilize and control demons.
In the LVL UP trailer, we see scenes of what appears to be a meeting between the 7 Deadly Sins and the Ars Goetia. We can assume from Vassago's lines, "Where is Stolas, anyway? We have to summon him at once" that the meeting's agenda is something that Stolas is responsible for and given Vassago's stress and Andrealphus' interference, things are ugly for him.
From the trailer it is also possible to deduce that Stolas will lose his powers at some point since in the scenes below, we see that he is completely defenseless against Andrealphus, who theoretically should be less powerful, since in the hierarchy of Ars Goetia Stolas occupies position 36, while Andrealphus occupies position 65.
Okay, but what does the ticking have to do with the meeting and Stolas' powers? Simple, the ticking of the clock is marking the time until the trial of Stolas and the I.M.P.
I believe the meeting will aim to discuss Stolas' actions and whether or not he should be tried for allowing I.M.P. to use his grimoire to gain illegal access to the human world.
Thanks to the group's carelessness in episode 6, the D.H.O.R.K.S. were able to obtain irrefutable proof of the existence of demons, which led the human government to finance the activities of the organization, which in a short time was able to discover a way to access hell.
Even if the D.H.O.R.K.S. aren't a threat at the moment, it's only a matter of time before they figure out a way to actually open a portal and then, yes, hell will have something to worry about.
Andrealphus and Stella, knowing about the affair between Stolas and Blitz, will take advantage of the situation to formally accuse him, convincing the Ars Goetia that he and I.M.P. must be judged and held accountable for their actions.
As punishment for breaking the laws of Hell, Stolas loses his titles and has his powers temporarily sealed by the Devil's Trap while he awaits official trial. Meanwhile, Stella and Andrealphus take possession of Stolas' possessions, which now rightfully belong to Stella, as the divorce has not yet been made official.
In the midst of all this, Octavia's custody will also be officially passed on to Stella, who, knowing how much Stolas cares for his daughter, will prevent them from meeting, further damaging their relationship, as we see in the speech "You don't love your mother, and you don't love me, you love HIM".
Anyway, this is what I think will happen in the next episodes, I hope the text wasn't confusing, as English is not my first language. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plot unfolds, and whether or not I got anything right!

So I finally broke down and started to watch the Devil Judge because I kept seeing these amazing gif sets on my timeline.
And uh, I'm loving it. I dunno why K-drama and especially crime drama just HITS SO DIFFERENT than American crime drama. I think it's because we tended to talk down to our audiences and keep things basic because god forbid they cannot follow the plot.
Meanwhile K-drama is gonna throw 6 different plot threads at you and a Gordian knot you have to untangle. I'm on episode 5 now and yes, I 1000% see where the Yo-han/Ga-On nation is coming from. I see you and am definitely one of you.
And it's so easy to fall into the trope of older, more experienced and cynical rich man and his younger, less experienced and less worldly man who gets dragged home and NEVER LEAVES. Like a stray cat who decides he's going to adopt Yo-Han and Elijah. (Which is a tangent I could go off on entirely) But yeah, prime sugar daddy/sugar baby troperific territory.
But nope. Ga-On is just straight calling Yo-Han on his bullshit and rocking his world constantly with his sometimes super vicious but completely accurate reads on him and his behavior. I love he's a mean little shit at times and doesn't let Yo-Han completely bulldoze over him which would be super easy considering Yo-Han....well let's say he gets a little hands on at time. LOL He definitely uses physicality to intimidate and goad Ga-On on at times. (and teases at times to the point of that ain't even remotely how two heterosexual men act around one another. pffft)
So yeah it's refreshing that Ga-On is the one who has his shit SLIGHTLY more together and meanwhile Yo-Han is one bad mental health day away from snapping and having a total mental breakdown. And Ga-On is going to befriend him and force him into a place of healing even if he has to drag Yo-Han kicking and screaming along the way.
And yet they are both disasters just in different ways. Suffice it to say I'm really enjoying this show.

2024 vs 2019-21
I really did design this a few months after I actually got into star trek for the first time. I don't know if the difference is as big but I feel much more comfortable with my style now. Rant under the cut.
Star trek was one of the first big fandoms I consciously started looking into. It had a special connection to me.
The first star trek thing I ever watched was the 2009 movie, although I didn't watch it in 2009 and I was far too young either way, I was too bored to read subtitles (English is not my native language). A few years passed and in 2017 I watched star trek beyond. I loved the characters but something was missing? Then I started digging into the fandom. I watched the other 2 aos movies, started looking up fanart. In 2018 I started watching tos for the first time. I never actually finished that watch, some episodes from seasons 1 and 2 and the majority of season 3 left without me touching them at all (I was watching on Netflix and like, I love(d) Spock so I usually just skipped episodes without him in them, don't judge me). In 2019, summer, I started watching the old movies (while watching the 4th one I has a very bad toothache but the movie made me feel better until I inevitably went to the dentist). I also didn't get to watch all the movies, the 5th half watched and the 6th not at all (but I do want to watch all 6 this year, let's see how that goes). Then the pandemic happened, I started rewatching my favorite episodes (the naked time, the devil in the darkness, amok time etc). I don't remember exactly when but I did watch some tas episodes too (don't remember much, only the vibes). Last year (2023) I did a full actual rewatch of tos.
If course I was reading fanfiction too at the time, the first big fanfic I've ever read was a star trek fic. I was looking at fanart and I wanted to draw too but the problem was, I couldn't figure out how to draw these characters. I was copying other styles hoping I'll find mine (it didn't work but it helped me improve I think). I have some of these early Spock drawings from 2019 but I don't know if they'll ever see the light of day. Making Spock as a pony was the only logical solution at the time. It was easy, I was familiar with mlp enough to make sense of it and also I love drawing animals. So this design was born. Over the years I just stopped drawing the gloss on his hair but the overall design didn't change.
If you couldn't guess I love drawing wings so I think this is where the most improvement lies. But I do think the anatomy is better as well.
I'm not reading all that, so let's hope I didn't make any mistakes while writing it (I'm not good at writing so there're definitely mistakes in here :| ).
#I hope this inspires people to keep trying and keep drawing/crafting/whatever because it's worth it#I actually have 2 'realistic' portrait pencil drawings of spock (as realistic as I could make them at least) from 2019 also#don't judge the old ones pls they're old. judge the newer#star trek#star trek tos#mlp#my little pony#spock#s'chn t'gai spock#spony#sponie#both are right#one is an inside joke the other is the 'correct' (but also the correct is whatever you want it to be)#fanart#art#traditional art#old vs new#star trek changed my brain chemistry fr#I don't really like one of the drawings I used for the 2024 picture but I couldn't find another one#(I technically could but I havent posted it yes and I didn't want to spoil 2 future posts)

2023 Favourites
In no particular order. This is content I've read and watched in 2023, not necessarily content released in 2023.
Books
1. Notorious Sorcerer by Davinia Evans: fantasy with some m/m. The protagonist travels to other planes for alchemical ingredients and ends up having to learn greater workings. I love the Byzantine vibe of the worldbuilding.
2. The Daughters of Izdihar by Hadeer Elsbai: fantasy with some f/f. Two women, a waterweaver and an earthweaver, join a women's rights movement. I love the Egyptian-inspired worldbuilding.
3. Reforged by Seth Haddon: m/m fantasy. This King/Paladin novel has a surprising plot. The magic system is very original as well, I especially like the music part of it.
4. The Buried and the Bound by Rochelle Hassan: urban fantasy with some m/m (YA). The hedgewitch protecting the town teams up with a boy cursed to forget his true love and another one trapped as a bondservant.
5. [Spanish] Lazos de Sangre by LR Jeffers: m/m urban fantasy (erotica). This is a series about werewolves and big cat shifters, usually angsty and hot.
6. [French] Meute by Karine Rennberg: urban fantasy with some m/m + another protagonist is aroace and uses sign language. This is a novel about building your own werewolf pack. I think this is my first time encountering 2nd-person narration in French and it works surprisingly well.
7. Cascade by Rachel A. Rosen: science fantasy with mlm and wlw protagonists + no romance. An ecological disaster has freed magic. In Canada, the Party works with a wizard in order to try and save humanity. I love the intricacies of the plot, which skilfully mixes politics, science and magic.
8. Ocean's Echo by Everina Maxwell: m/m science fiction. Telepathy, my favourite trope, done by one of my fave authors! It was even better than I expected.
9. The Deep Sky by Yume Kitasei: science fiction/murder mystery with several non-binary major characters. 80 people from all around the world embark on a one-way interstellar voyage. As they're all required to get pregnant, they're obviously afab, but several are non-binary, with mentions of a trans man.
10. Forget Me Not by Alyson Derrick: f/f romance (YA). This is a very romantic novel about two girls dating in secret until one gets amnesia. I enjoy this trope a lot.
TV shows
1. Good Omens: fantasy with queer protagonists + some f/f. I love the book and I love the adaptation. Season 2 is original content, but it's faithful to the spirit of the novel.
2. Shadow and Bone: fantasy with some m/m (YA). This successfully mixes the Shadow and Bone trilogy (that I haven't read) and the Six of Crows duology (that I have read and enjoyed).
3. Warrior Nun: fantasy with some f/f. Nuns literally fight against demons.
4. The Power: superpower fiction with some f/f + a trans woman and an intersex man. Teenage girls start developing an electrical superpower, which makes them safer from men.
5. Nü Er Hong: GL wuxia. This c-drama is a quick watch, with 27 episodes of 2 minutes. I love that these short webdramas always have more or less the same actresses.
6. The Devil Judge: dystopia/thriller with BL vibes. This k-drama has a tight plot and fascinating characters. There's a girl in a wheelchair and the rep is well done.
7. Naughty Babe: BL romance/murder (attempt) mystery. This Thai drama is the sequel to Cutie Pie, except that they switched up the main pairing and the secondary pairing. I think it's possible to watch it on its own.
8. Wedding Plan: BL + GL romcom. This Thai drama has mlm-wlw solidarity, which I hope to see more of in the future. There are also cameos from the BL couples from Love in the Air.
9. Oh! My Assistant: BL romcom. This hilarious k-drama is about a het porn webtoon creator and his assistant. Despite this topic, the drama is not explicit.
10. Welcome to the Lesbian Bar: GL contemporary fiction. This k-drama is a quick watch, with 5 episodes of 6 minutes. In each episode, 2 customers come have a drink and chat with the owner.
Movies
1. Barbie: fantasy that is so gender! This was such a big surprise coming from Hollywood.
2. Nimona: fantasy with a protagonist who is a trans/enby allegory + some m/m (YA). I haven't read the graphic novel, so this was more depressing than I expected (it deals a lot with discrimination), but still an excellent movie.
3. Wingwomen (Voleuses in the original French): action movie with a sapphic protagonist + f/f vibes between the other two. I love heist movies all about women.
4. Kill Bok-soon: action movie with some f/f. This Korean movie has interesting cinematography. Note that it's very violent, though.
5. Red, White & Royal Blue: m/m romcom. I love the book and I love the adaptation.
6. Anything's Possible: m/f romance with a trans female protagonist (YA). This is a very positive movie, about love, art and nature.
7. Fanfic: m/m romance with a trans male protagonist (YA). This Polish movie is sometimes dark, sometimes fun.

I Hate Lore Olympus (Sorry Not Sorry)
Note: I know that "hate" is a big word and that "dislike" is more fitting. But I never thought that I would ever encounter a comic that is so bad from its very beginning, so I have all the right to use it.
I remember that back when I was around 13 I heard for the very first time about Lore Olympus. I was already into Greek Mythology back then, but I hesistated reading/watching Lore Olympus and I remember myself abandoning it exactly in the middle of episode 10.
So I'm going to talk here about every little aspect that I didn't like about it and made me willing to abandon it so far.
The Colors
Look, I know that associating each god with a specific color based either on their role or personality isn't a new idea; we already see that in Disney's Hercules. At first I was like: "That must be interesting. I mean, it’s an easy way to distinguish each one of them, right?" But then I realized that the main reason why the creator chose to do that in the first place was because she wasn't too good at drawing. There are panels in which the characters are looking normal, and others in which they don’t look like themselves. The only thing that indicates you that yes, this is [Insert Name], is purely their color.
Also, I do not like the choice of color for many characters as well. For instace, the only reason why I believe that Hades is blue and Persephone is pink is because of the "boys=blue; girls=pink" stereotype. Also, why are Zeus and Poseidon purple and green, respectively? For me, it would've made more sense if Zeus was either white or golden and if Poseidon was the blue one. For Hades I think that either black (mortuary color), purple (associated with the riches) or at least a shade of grey would've been a better choice. As for Persephone, I think that ivy, teal, liliac and indigo would've all been better options.
Oh, and... why is Minthe red? Judging by her pointy years the creator wanted to make her look like some sort of a she-devil instead of a nymph. Mint green would've been a better color choice for her.
The Art Style on its own
This is a very subjective opinion, but I don't like this way too colorful, cartoonish design. I quess I'm just way too used of Seinen and Josei, lol.
On a serious note though, back when I was 6 I literally had a fairy tale book full of graphic/explicit illustrations. Inside the "Bluebeard" chapter there was literally an image with all of Bluebeard's previous wives beheaded, tied and thrown into a pool of blood. Not a very long time ago we used to tell our kids stories about cannibalism and child abandonment (looking at you, Hansel and Gretel!), because children are capable enough to understand that life isn't just rainbows and love and that bad thing are happening too. Are you really going to tell me that a pre-teen cannot read a comic series unless it's extremely colored and looks like something made by Disney?!
Minthe
You could've made Minthe either Hades' ex or a girl who tried to seduce him while knowing that he is already in a relationship. In these cases I would understand why you would choose to villainize her and turn her into the Big Bad Guy. But the fact that she and Hades were already in a relationship and he was willing to have an affair with another woman without any hesitation justifies her anger completely, anyone would be angry if they would know that their partner is cheating on them. The choice of making Persephone the mistress instead of her and then acting as if Minthe was in fact the bitch all this time is horrible.
Persephone
I want to know:
Why does she look and act like a child? Just because she was initially an "innocent flower girl" or something like that before she was kidnapped in the original myths that doesn’t mean that she has to act straight up like an infant. This kinda reminds of some sort of a Betty Boop situation: she's basically a character with the head of a child put on the body of a grown sexy woman; which not only that makes men thirsty over her, but helps them to easily manipulate her as well.
And look, I know that Homer is partly to be blamed for this as well: he describes her as trim-ankled and buxom all the time, so in this case it's alright to criticize the poet for the amount of unnecessary fanservice. Don't take this part too seriously.
Why is she only 19 whereas Hades is 2000+? Look, I know that even in the original Greek Mythology there is a generational gap between Hades and Persephone, but you could've made her at least a few centuries older. Was it that hard?! In this comic Hades is both physically and mentally WAY older than her, which instantly makes this relationship creepier than in the original myths. What is next, making her a minor?!
Why is she this little cupcake uncapable of doing anything wrong? Give me a complex character as a protagonist, not a Mary Sue. I understand that you wanted a compassionate and emphatic Persephone, but you know that just because someone is nice that doesn’t mean that they're automatically naïve or stupid, nor that they cannot have layers, right?
Hades
Look, I know that for a significant amount of time Hades was considered the equivalent of Satan and by extension depicted as evil by the Christian Hollywood. But just because he wasn't the devil that doesn’t mean that he automatically was this innocent shy awkard cute saint that never does anything wrong and should be raised in glory. You could've at least give him a dark and dour personality: make him morbid, brooding, sarcastic, surly, insufferable... I don't know, just anything. Besides, I don't like how the narrative acts as if he has no fault at all, when it's quite obivious not only that he cheated on Minthe, but that both of them are toxic and abusive in this relationship, not only her.
Ah, and... he's a creep. He's more of a creep here than in the original Greek Myths, and he's literally kidnapping her there. It's very obivious that he likes Persephone only for her body and nothing else. Even Plato wrote: "This is the reason why Haides, who is wise, consorts with her [Persephone], because she is wise." once.
Remember that moment from episode 8 when she asks him to help her with her hair, and he not only that immediately assumes that she wants to have sex with him, but also tells her that they can do that in the kitchen but to be careful because he has loud neighbors or something like that? That was straight up disgusting in my honest opinion and not exactly something that the ultimate gentleman this narrative presents him as would say.
Demeter
I vaguely remember one moment when Demeter shows Persephone a greenhouse or something like that, which turns out to be a cage. I can't tell for the moment if it was a dream or something that actually happened, but depicting Demeter as an overbearing mother is an instant big no for me. If anyone dares to demonize her just because they ship Hades and Persephone then I invite them to sleep in my trash can, no discussion.
Aphrodite
I just want to know why is Persephone more beautiful than the Goddess of Beauty. You cannot make the Goddess of Beauty less attractive than your MC, just because all the focus is on her.
Overall, I am very glad that I didn't continue it, and that because, from what I heard, things are becoming creepier and creepier with each chapter, and the entire comic is an insult to Greek Mythology (I can tell).

I am an Army! I’ve been a fan almost since their debut😍 hbu? Are you into other groups or is it mostly BTS? Also, what are your top favorite shows?😅🫣
WOOAAAHHH You're like a veteran ARMY and that's so cool!! You got to see them grow over the years as individuals and artists. So on that note, what do you think of the progress from the stickers censoring any display of skin to the insanity we have now?💀(I'm sorry for being unserious) oh and who's your bias and bias wrecker?
I became a fan in 2020. I'm into ATEEZ too, they are pretty awesomeee. Since I like to explore in terms of music, I know the Rose, Seventeen, Stray Kids(they were actually my first ever kpop group), Enhypen and NCT, RIIZE and CIX.
But it's mostly BTS for me :D In this Bangtan shit for lifeee🙂↕️💜💜
My top favorite shows, in no particular order:-
●Beyond Evil (a show I will always keep coming back to, always. It feels like home )
●Killer and Healer (the last episode did not happen. That's it.)
● The Devil Judge (I kind of wanted Gaon to elope with Yohan T_T)
● Lucifer (my beloved, I have so many memories and feelings; season 6 was sort of unnecessary)
● Evil (we NEED season 4)
● The Exorcist (WHY DO MY FAVORITE SHOWS GET CANCELLED WHYYY)
● Prodigal Son (same as above)
● Legends of Tomorrow (even though I haven't watched all the seasons, I am (very) attached to the characters)
● Hannibal (this show is serious to the point that it reaches the territory of hilarity. Very aesthetic and visually stunning)
● Strangers from Hell (fun show, keeps you guessing)
● Supernatural (again, I haven't been able to watch all seasons, but I am attached to the characters and I would fight for them)
● Guardian (I absolutely ADORE thiss)
● Psychopath Diary (severely underrated, this is a gem! It's not overly dark, is funny and sticks to the point)
● Good Manager (OOOO THIS IS PEAK COMEDY and so so heartwarming)
What are your top favorite showss👀👀 and I'm sorry if this got too long😭 I tend to get carried away.

for the soft asks - all of the even numbers that you haven't answered yet :D
Took, I love you, god damn
4. what flower would you like to be given?
Oh, sunflowers! I love sunflowers, they're my favorite
6. say three nice things about yourself (three physical and three non-physical).
Alright, alright...hmm
Physical
I have nice hair
I have a nice voice
I have pretty eyes
Non-Physical
I'm compassionate
I'm smarter than I give myself credit for
I'm kind
8. tag someone (or multiple people) who make you feel good.
@mishathewtf @ahhhnorealnamesallowed @kpopfantasywriter @seonghwacore @nineninepetals @zennialemo @missjudge-me @zzzhoonie @hyperbolicgrinch @fourth-quartet (obvs) @clawbehavior and there are so many others...I just love y'all
10. what’s something you’re excited for?
I'm excited to finish my current wip that I'm working on and post it after doing some edits to it. I'm really happy with how it's going so far (I can't write a short fic for Killer and Healer to save my fucking life)
12. how are you?
Tired. A little stressed. And nervous cuz I have a job interview coming up on Wednesday...
14. favorite feel-good show?
Now, Killer and Healer is my go to answer for every show, but it's not really a feel-good show, if you know what I mean. So I'm gonna go with White Cat Legend because there are some episodes, ep. 18 in particular, where I just screech with laughter because it's so god damn funny. But my other feel-good show is any show that talks about Ancient Egypt. I love Egyptology and wanted to be an Egyptologist when I was younger (mainly to study mummies, is anyone surprised that I ended up in forensics? No, you shouldn't be). But yeah, any nature documentary or documentary on Ancient Egypt is my go-to feel good show
16. compliment the person who sent you this number.
You're an absolute delight and I love seeing you on my dash and getting asks from you and I thank God every day we became friends because of The Devil Judge
18. do you still love stuffed animals?
You fucking kidding me, of course I do. Love my stuffies
20. what do you want most in the world right now?
To get a fucking job and stop feeling like I'm behind all of my friends, even though I know I'm not. It's just that my timeline has not exactly worked out the way I wanted it to, so...yeah. Getting my job in my field would be the cherry on top
22. what would you say to your future self?
Keep being badass
24. what’s something you do to de-stress?
Work on/read fanfiction or watch youtube videos
26. what movie would you want to live in?
Uh...Princess and the Frog. Good music, bombass food...sign me the fuck up
28. hugs or hand-holding?
Hugs. I've been told I give good hugs
30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?
Going into any asian grocery story. See, I lived in Hawaii and spent a lot of time in Chinatown because my great-grandmother used to go there a lot. And Lunar New Year and other stuff like that. So anytime I go into an asian grocery store and smell all the spices and what not, I feel like I'm home

I'm finally watching The Devil Judge again, just finished watching episode 6.
Man, you do not want to mess with Judge Kang. Minister Cha clearly thought she had the upper hand but then BOOM!
Also, I can't get over the fact how different Judge Kang looks with his hair not styled up. I swear he almost looks like a totally different person!
Welcome back ;)
Yeah, trying to outsmart Yo Han is just... generally a very bad idea. I mean, it's not IMPOSSIBLE but it sure as hell isn't easy. And, tbh, even if you manage to win a battle here or there, he'll still find a way to win the war. That man just does not give up. Ever.
And tell me about it! Despite how famous he is, I think a lot of people wouldn't even recognise him if he passed them on the street with his hair down. It's truly baffling and I love it so much. He looks so soft and boyish with his hair down? What's not to love?
#Amethystina Replies#writingfanficsfan#The Devil Judge#I feel like this is becoming kind of like a report at this point? xD#Like#You tell me your findings in each episode#And I give a more or less coherent response#While also trying not to spoil anything that happens later

The Devil Judge Rewatch Ep 6 (Part 4)
Continuation of Part 3 which can be found here.
The next bit, we have the family eating together for the first time. And look at the spread Gaon had prepared, which was more like a feast than just breakfast.
And here we have Yohan puffing his cheeks out at Elijah. And Elijah refusing to look at him, obviously still pissed at how Yohan had teased her.
And that wasn't the only silliness Yohan had exhibited. Look at him, jealous of his own AI butler for calling Gaon master.
Now we have Elijah saying that she hated Korean cusine. And going on to spout some ridiculous reason for being llke this.
And now that I'm rewatching this with the knowledge that it was her way of keeping Miss Ji's terrible cooking a secret. It's so endearing and love her so much for doing this.
And look at Yohan trying to keep a straight face when he obviously knew that Elijah was lying.
Next, we have Yohan doing exactly what Elijah had done. Protecting Miss Ji by saying he couldn't taste anything.
And here is Elijah giving him a dirty look. Cause she knew it's a big fat lie too.
And I love how they can read each other so well. They do have a closeness that goes beyond words - even though they will deny it vehemently, should anyone point that out to them.
The next bit, I really dunno what to say except... Why must Yohan eat kimchi in such a way?
And looking at Gaon as he did so. 🤣
Makes me wonder if he had read some lousy book about how to seduce your love interest.
Even though this might not be much, but I love it a lot.
And it's when Gaon had faltered when Elijah had asked if his parents had stopped running a restaurant. And Yohan, he could have tried to steer the conversation away from what was definitely a sensitive topic.
But he didn't. And had kept quiet, letting Gaon decide how he wanted to handle the situation.
And how can we ever forget this! Miss Ji stumbling on the happy scene.
And Yohan! Gosh, he really's so cute - mouth stuffed with Gaon's cooking and looking like a guilty child caught in a naughty act.
Then attempting to escape Miss Ji and nearly choking himself
And Elijah! Keeping quiet and unobtrusive throughout the whole incident. Probably trying to escape from being questioned by Miss Ji as well.
And then we have Gaon, oblivious to all that was happening and telling Miss Ji he had left food for her.
I'll never tire of watching this.
And now, we have Gaon and how cool he was riding the motorcycle.
But he had to learn how to fight better.
And last but not least.
How can someone look so... just by drinking water.
If Yohan had seen this, might make him thirsty for something else more than just water.
And then there's this when Yohan had stumbled out of his car after getting kidnapped.
He's just so... And it had my imagination thinking of Gaon on his knees and... (You can refer to him drinking water to get an idea.)
I'll stop here for now, even though there's more I'll love to say about this episode. And see u in the rewatch for Ep 7.
#the devil judge#the devil judge rewatch#gahan#kang yohan x kim gaon#lawful husbands#yohan x gaon#i just love love them and i want to rave about them.#And gosh all the stuff I keep discovering the more I do this.#I'm just so obesessed and maybe I'm reading too much into it all with my clouded judgement.#And thank you for reading what isn't all my own ideas but influenced by all the posts I've ever read on TDJ

I'm on The Devil Judge episode 6
and this show is so fun and interesting, but also so fucking corny and confusing. Sometimes I think it's intricate and there's a bigger picture that I'm not seeing, but I can't help but assume it's actually super predictable. Why the fuck are we (Gaon) still in that man's (Yohan's) house?? Is Gaon supposed to be stupid? Whenever they mention his "immature past" I'm like lol, what has changed? He's playing little baby games with his little audio recorder bug thing and showing his hand to all of his enemies every time he has an unproven assumption. I'm not understanding why he doesn't at least have the agency to make allies. He keeps picking fights with Yohan, doesn't care at all to befriend Judge Oh or Sunah, and his only friends are absolutely useless. Suhyeon is not smart. She has no leverage as a police officer and she just goes around expecting to dig shit up with no warrant or subpoena or anything? The way they questioned Elijah, too, was so tactless. Am I supposed to be rooting for these fools??
Whatever. I'm very entertained by this show and will continue to watch it. This isn't a hate post, I'm just yapping

Which is my favorite Kdrama network?
When I'm bored I like to list and categorize things. Today I've decided to discover, statistically, which Korean drama network is my favorite based on shows I've watched.
Including both shows I've completed and shows I've dropped bc in this case, the shows I don't like are relevant.
Using my ratings from MyDramaList :) which means however I felt the first time I finished watching a show, basically. Not including networks where I've only watched one show (e.g., Disney+, Wavve, Channel A).
JTBC:
Agency--Dropped
Beyond Evil--6
Itaewon Class--Dropped
My Country the New Age--10
Private Lives--Dropped
Reflection of You--Dropped
Sisyphus: The Myth--Dropped
I can't believe this network produced My Country the New Age when everything else I've watched by them has been a flop for me. Beyond Evil came the closest to breaking the curse but even then. Itaewon Class is one of my least favorite shows I've ever tried to watch; I've forgotten most of the details now but a bad taste lingers.
KBS:
White Christmas--10
Mad Dog--8
The King's Affection--10
River Where the Moon Rises--Dropped
Should I have given River Where the Moon Rises more of a chance? Bc apparently this network only makes bangers.
MBC:
Extraordinary You--7
Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung--9
The Veil--7
Idk what to say about this one. RHGH is pretty damn good but I think I would probs like it less watching it now than I did in 2019, newish to kdramas and ready to love anything. But it's a fave regardless, and Extraordinary You and The Veil are both fairly watchable. A serviceable network.
MBN:
Perfect Marriage Revenge--Dropped
Sponsor--Dropped
A network to watch a few episodes with the desire to see dogblood plots, and then leave.
Netflix:
Bloodhounds--8
My Holo Love--Dropped
Gyeongseong Creature--Dropped
Song of Bandits--8
The Silent Sea--7
It's Netflix. I don't know that they're ever going to make a real favorite for me but they're fairly competent.
OCN:
Save Me--8
Duel--Dropped
A Superior Day--Dropped
Apparently it takes Seo Ye-ji and Woo Do-hwan's powers combined to make me finish a show by this network. You'd think it would be easier bc they seem to enjoy angst and whump, but I think they pour it on a little too thick.
SBS:
Doctor Stranger--Dropped
Lovers of the Red Sky--8
Revenant--9
The King: Eternal Monarch--7
The Killing Vote--Dropped
Remember: War of the Son--Dropped
Honestly I might come back to at least one of these dropped shows. Their track record on plots is okay, but their actors are really good.
TVN:
100 Days My Prince--Dropped
Alchemy of Souls--9
Bad and Crazy--Dropped
Circle: Two Worlds Connected--9
Confession--6
Devil Judge--9
Eve--8
Flower of Evil--10
Hotel del Luna--Dropped
It's Okay to Not Be Okay--8
Mine--8
Mr. Sunshine--8
Our Blooming Youth--Dropped
Pandora: Beneath the Paradise--Dropped
Psychopath Diary--9
Tale of the Nine-Tailed--Dropped
Clearly I just start the most show by them. Do they make the most shows? I don't know. Good concepts and good cinematic quality on most of these shows, with just a few exceptions. Pretty solid network.
Viki:
Color Rush--8
I Picked Up a Star On the Road--6
Where Your Eyes Linger--8
You Make Me Dance--6
Mixed bag.
The takeaways:
I should probably watch more KBS. On my to-watch list, that translates to Youth of May, the Bridal Mask, Hwarang, the Bloody Heart, and Orange Marmalade. So mostly historical dramas, which is a pity bc apparently I also like their thrillers.
Really, though, my to-watch list at this point has a ton of SBS and MBC on it for some reason, at least with shows that have already come out. According to my stats so far, my odds are pretty mixed on liking them or not.
Somehow, one feels, I will actually end up watching more TVN instead... but that has yet to materialize. (except the one kdrama I'm currently watching is a TVN drama. so.)
Did I really learn anything? No. and on that note, good night.
