Aston Martin AM3, 1997, by Pininfarina. Designed by Scott A. Barras at Pininfarina Studi e Ricerchi to a commission from the Sultan of Brunei. The unusual AM3 was one of series of Astons made for the Sultan. Pininfarina offered 5 styling options to their client, AM1 to AM5, but only design numbers 3 and 4 were produced. The AM3 was made in a series of 3 cars based on a Vantage chassis with V600 supercharged V8 5.3 litre engines.

Ferrari FX
After more than 50 special commissions, Pininfarina was given the responsibility of creating a Ferrari tailored to the needs of Prince Abdul Azim, son of Hassanal Bolkiah, better known as the Sultan of Brunei. And among those needs, the challenge was included that this Ferrari had a sequential gearbox, with a device that automates the disengagement and engagement process, so that a touch on a button, or a lever, was enough to change gears. A very common solution in these times, in which the standard for a sports car is a good automatic transmission with dual-clutch technology, but also an almost crazy idea, due to how complex it would be to achieve optimal and refined performance, when Azim commissioned from Pininfarina in 1994.
Paolo Garella, head of prototypes and special projects at Pininfarina, would entrust the task of adapting its sequential change to the vee-shaped twelve-cylinder engine of the Ferrari Testarossa - which would be the basis of this creation - to Prodrive. That Ferrari FX would have, as it could not be less, with a completely new bodywork, the work of Pininfarina. The Italian study would be in charge of creating a body completely assembled in carbon fiber, a solution that was quite a surprise at the beginning of the 1990s due to the complexity and cost of the process to create the panels.
Its aesthetics could hardly hide the fact that a Ferrari Testarossa and a Ferrari 512 TR are hidden under it, with the improvements that Ferrari applied on the basis of the original Testarossa. And it will probably surprise you, and a lot, that in its design, especially on its front, we already find details such as generous, very rounded air inlets, in contrast to the sharp lines of the Testarossa, which already resemble, very much, the Ferrari 360 Modena that we would not know until 1999.

Sultan of Brunei Drove Anwar Ibrahim In A BMW
Malaysians are proud of their new Prime Minister being driven by another country’s Sultan, and stated that this is a moment worth remembering.
According to Bernama News, the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah was seen getting off his aeroplane and then proceeding to drive our Prime Minister in a BMW. This is getting traction among Malaysians as we have never seen things like these done before to any of our other Prime Ministers before. How many absolute monarchs are there in the world?
•King Salman of Saudi Arabia •Pope Francis •Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman •Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei •The King of Swaziland (now Eswatini): King Mswati III of Swaziland (AKA Eswatini) •United Arab Emirates: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (Each of the seven Emirates that form the UAE have their own absolute monarch and Sheikh MBZ, as leader of Dubai, is the overall ruler of the nation.)
Did I miss anybody? I think those are the only absolute monarchs still in power today. The rest of the world's royalty are constitutional monarchs, so they reign but do not rule.
(There's an argument for including Kim Jong Un on the list of absolute monarchs despite the fact that he's not a King and North Korea is a Communist country. He's obviously a dictator, but the Kim dynasty has virtually ruled North Korea like a secular monarchy for nearly 75 years with the supreme leaders inheriting their power through hereditary succession. Kim Jong Un took over immediately upon the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, who had assumed power when his father -- North Korea's first paramount leader, Kim Il Sung -- died in 1994. Of course, North Korea isn't officially considered a monarchy, but the manner in which the Kim family has ruled the country and transferred power from father-to-son for three generations and counting resembles the structure of an absolute monarchy more than a "traditional" totalitarian dictatorship.)

“All the money to lavish foreign guests but giving maggot-infested food to your nation’s children who you made to attend a procession, while the bride wears millions of pounds worth of diamond. Shame on Mateen and Anisha and SHAME on the Sultan.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“Behind all that wedding glitz, thousands of bruneians (forcibly) attending Mateens wedding procesion got food poisoning because of the disgusting food they were "gifted" by the royal family. Mind you, some didn't even receive a bottle of water despite having to wait HOURS under the sun and heat. Burgers and chicken full of worms for the "commoners" and a 10 course meal for the royals.” - Submitted by Anonymous

The Sultan's Kurnia (Personal Gifts) Distributed
The Sultan's Personal Gift, also known as Kurnia, for selected individuals for this upcoming Hari Raya, has begun distribution since yesterday, 27 March 2024, and will continue until Friday, 29 March 2024. The recipients include orphans, individuals with special needs, individuals with special abilities, and monthly welfare allowance recipients. Various designated venues have been set up for the recipients to collect their Kurnia, including the palace, stadium, Bridex Hall, and community halls.
Meanwhile, some people have not yet received a call or code to collect their Kurnia. According to social media sources, recipients must have a code this year to verify their eligibility. This code is typically sent via SMS to a valid registered phone number after receiving a call from the authorities. However, The Kembayau is unsure about this specific detail. Based on what The Kembayau understands, if someone hasn't received a call, they won't receive a code and may not be eligible for Kurnia this year. For those who haven't received a call yet, it's best to wait a few more days. May Allah ease things for everyone.

“Brinei has roughly the same GDP as Spain which is high for SEA but the wealth distribution is highly concentrated so average citizens actually don’t see that money and they have appalling human rights record. The royal family pockets most of the money from exploiting the country’s natural resources and the Sultan acts like he’s Louise XIV- ostentatious and totalitarian. I don’t believe kids should inherit their father’s sin but little prince Mateen is a grown man who is supposedly educated but chooses to do nothing and stand by his father’s side.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“So we’re just gonna ignore the fact that Mateen proudly benefits from his father’s dictatorship and suppression of his people? Okay.” - Submitted by Anonymous
