Limoncello Strawberries

These sweet and bright Limoncello Strawberries make a beautifully fragrant and light dessert, especially tasty if one can eat them in the garden --whence the strawberries were picked!-- whilst the sun (still) shines! Happy Wednesday!

Ingredients (serves 1):

half a dozen Garden Strawberries 

a small lemon

1 tablespoon Limoncello 

Thoroughly rinse Garden Strawberries under cold water, and pat them dry.

Halve Strawberries, and place them in a small bowl or serving glass. Grate the zest of half the lemon onto them, and toss gently to combine. Drizzle with Limoncello, tossing gently to coat. Chill in the refrigerator, at least an hour, gently stirring every now and then.

Enjoy Limoncello Strawberries cold, with a glass of chilled Prosecco.

First lot of strawberries! I've had no time for gardening so far this year, so the veg patch is entirely overgrown... and full of strawberries from last year's planting. There are berries everywhere amongst the grass and clover. Thank you garden.

Jasmine Strawberries

These Jasmine Strawberries are a taste of my garden at the very moment, as there are more of these red, sweet and juicy beauties to pick every day --my best strawberry harvest yet!-- and the star jasmine is fragrantly abloom! A simple, and yet delicately elegant dessert, and a fond celebration of Summer!

Ingredients (serves 1):

4 beautiful Garden Strawberries 

1 1/2 tablespoon Jasmine Syrup 

Rinse Strawberries under cold water, and pat them dry.

Halve Strawberries, and place them in a small bowl or serving glass. Drizzle with Jasmine Syrup, tossing gently to coat. Chill in the refrigerator, at least an hour, gently stirring every now and then.

Enjoy Jasmine Strawberries cold, with a glass of chilled Prosecco. Make more of these, and serve for two; it makes a splendid date night dessert!

I can't for the life of me remember this strawberrys name. It's lush, hearty, and has produced steadily all summer and shows no signs of stopping even with our cooler nights lately. There are a ton of runners and I'll definitely be spreading them around the garden. I need maximum strawberries.
