::: MINOR SPOILERS for Wind and Truth:::: Happy (belated) New Year to all of you here on Tumblr! May Connection and Fortune favor us all! ✨ While reading Wind and Truth I really enjoyed their parts. Somehow with that came a feeling that I wanted to express in an illustration for my New Years post ... something like levity, perhaps hope? It feels like we all need it. So here is the Shinovar roadtrip party not being miserable. 😅

I for one, have been absolutely adoring the choice to make Nale argue like an internet troll. Every conversation between him and Kaladin basically ends with "That's a poor argument Windrunner, as you see I've already drawn you as the Soyjack and me as the Chad" and then he runs away.

Stormlight 5 has been completed at 491,000 words.

Brandon Sanderson: The last book [Rhythm of War] was 460,000 words, and it was the longest they could print at the time, but we were able to squeeze a little extra by going and being like, “Alright, how big can we literally physically get it?”

They said somewhere around 489…so we’ll see… we are squeezing every bit of space into this book that we can.

Can't cope with the hype for Wind and Truth, so I drew a Kaladin!

Wanna finish it in either watercolor or acrylic ink, we shall see! Would be my first time using acrylic ink.

Also will paint it on hot press paper, in order to be able to use pencils for the details, and so far I have SUCKED at that. Wish me luck.
