Brandon Sanderson: The last book [Rhythm of War] was 460,000 words, and it was the longest they could print at the time, but we were able to squeeze a little extra by going and being like, “Alright, how big can we literally physically get it?”

They said somewhere around 489…so we’ll see… we are squeezing every bit of space into this book that we can.

For this prompt I already had the right idea lying around as a little thumbnail sketch from the bits of Szeth’s flashback scenes Brandon read at Dragonsteel Con last year. Just had to refine it a bit. :) ------------ image description: a digital painting of a two children in a pastoral scenery. I know we all expected SA5 to be KOWT but the books already say that perfect symmetry is a little blasphemous, so I’m fine with it being slightly off

Oh I just had an idea. What if Odium's champion is himself?? Immediate unmask to unsettle Dalinar, and then Dalinar has to kill a vessel to win. Dalinar is his own champion, why not Odium?
