They literally just slapped a blurry picture of a runway model on the cover of this audiobook. Amazing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm assuming they straight up stole this image, because it's a professional photograph taken at Dolce & Gabbana fashion show. I doubt the creators of these outfits intended for any of these pictures to be used as historically accurate representations of real Byzantine empresses

One of these days, I will write a H//B rewrite. I'll characterize Stella as a carrier/academically driven women (still short tempered) who persues St/olas' collection of spellbooks. St/olas took Octavia with him as soon as she's born and gave up his status (not his divinity), while Stella got the mansion and the spellbooks/archives. The now-mutual divorce happened before St/o/litz or them meeting up ever happened.
Basically the main plot started when Octavia calls her estranged mother of 17 years telling her that St/olas has gone missing and the main theme of the fic is of Stella reconnecting with Octavia and her new family.

Well this episode of helluva boss was nice, seeing all the deadly sins was cool and I enjoyed andrealphus' more active villain role but I hate that he still won't get a fraction of the hate stella gets despite also doing everything he can to hurt yaoi softboi fave stolas

I was reminded today of one of my favorite personal headcanons I have for Terzo: he is an absolute film slut. especially for old Hollywood + pre-code horror and drama movies. he would either have original film reels or the remastered collector's editions in DVD format. he plays them in his carefully cared-for old film projector...or for the remastered ones, a digital projector on those pull-down screens you see in classrooms. he has one installed in his room for his convivence.
Ask him about his interest, and he will go on talking someone's ear off with commentary about the movies---er excuse me--- films centric themes, motifs, plot and literally anything you'd catch in a director's commentary edition. he has a list of favorite actors/actresses from the time and will have framed photos of them in his room. (which speaking of, takes inspo from art deco)
I actually have a doodle i made a while back on what 'A Date with Papa III' would be like, and the expectations were far beyond what one would expect. oh, sure he has his suave way of words and looks, but he truly is a film nerd and will not shy away from it.
for now have this silly doodle:
Tumblr media
His prized and restored 1930s 40s Specto 16mm Movie Projector. nicknamed 'Stella'.
No one is allowed to touch it. Not even Omega. (out of everyone though, Terzo trusts him the most. but still- NO TOUCH)

Helluva Dads, and why Blitzø is better than Stolas
This post is not a Stolas hate post in any way, I think this is just an interesting perspective on the main characters of Helluva boss as parents, mainly Blitzø and Stolas. If you want to avoid spoilers please skip.
The latest episode has brought up some speculations on how the trailer snippet from this seasons (meant for the next episode) will be about Octavia growing resentful of Stolas and thinking that he has abandoned her.
Tumblr media
I have seen some posts claiming that Via is a spoiled rich kid and that she is demanding so much from her father, some posts even going as far as saying she is exactly like Stella. I disagree with these takes heavily because Stella is a one dimensional villain, portrayed to have no other function than to be Stolas' abuser. Octavia is actually extremely valid in her feelings and she has more than enough reason to resent Stolas.
If you noticed, every single Octavia centric episode portrays the same conflict between father and daughter: Octavia feeling like an afterthought and worrying that Stolas will leave her for Blitzø.
Tumblr media
This has been featured in "Loo Loo Land" where Octavia is exasperated by the fact that even when Stolas plans a whole day for the two of them to spend time together (even by disregarding Via's feelings about the theme park), he still spends most of his time flirting with Blitz, whom he invited along just for the sake of it as there has been zero need for them. At the end of the episode, Stolas apologies for not hearing Via out, promises that he won't ever abandon her and the two head home with their conflict resolved.
Or not....
Tumblr media
In "Seeing Stars" Octavia runs away to the human world because Stolas forgot about their promise to watch a meteor shower that they have been looking forward to seeing since she was a toddler. Stolas spends his day arguing with Stella over their divorce and ignoring his daughter. I just want to say it's not Stolas' fault that he is stressed because of his divorce and his ex wife is making the whole process harder for him but ultimately his daughter should take priority over anything else in his life. A parent should put their child first, always.
Enter Blitzø:
Tumblr media
He has his fair share of faults, and he infantalises Loona often but at the end of the day, she know he will be there for her and she will be there for him. She knows Blitz cares for her a lot, and she never doubts that or expresses feeling neglected (i mean also because of her background).
Blitzø also puts his daughter even before Stolas, as seen in Western Energy. He has to take Loona to her doctors appointment and even though Loona is a grown adult at this point, he knows she gets super anxious around shots so he insists on accompanying her, even when Stolas tells him that he has been kidnapped. Blitz sends M&M in his stead, because Loona takes priority.
Tumblr media
The main difference between Loona and Octavia is how much their parents wanted them.
Both Stolas and Blitzø love their daughters and want the best for them. However I can't help but think that the main reason in how they are treated is the fact that one of them was unwanted.
Tumblr media
Stolas loves his daughter, that is undeniable and before Blitz re-entered his life Octavia was probably the only person in his life who made him happy. But he didn't want her. Everything in Stolas' life until the main plot has been decided for him, and he has done everything he did out of obligation: his job, his marriage and his heir. Paimon has decided that he will marry Stella when Stolas was a small child, and they were expected to produce an heir as soon as possible. Stolas most likely became a father against his will at an age where he was barely an adult and unprepared to raise a child. And that is not even mentioning the fact that he is gay.
This is not his fault, again. But it is the main reason why he always tries to escape his life and obsesses over Blitzø, ultimately including Octavia in the multitude of things he is running away from. Via is extremely entangled in the "list of chores" Stolas has to do, while Blitzø represents the freedom of choice for him.
Even so, it feels like Stolas is running the same circles around his daughter throughout the story, which is: Stolas neglects Via, Via feels sad and abandoned, they have a wholesome discussion that Stolas won't ever abandon Via and he loves her a lot, 2 seconds later Stolas is off chasing cock.
At the end of Mastermind, Via is seen visibly upset, probably thinking that his father left her behind for Blitzø again. She feels betrayed by him over and over again, and she is right because Stolas, despite making promises still disregards Via's thoughts and feelings at the end of the day.
Tumblr media
Stolas is absolutely devastated when he realises that he might not see his daughter again, that he has lost custody over her. But it's too little too late, and while in this particular case it was completely justified that he went to save Blitzø from literally being executed, maybe Via would be taking it better if she wasn't left behind by Stolas over and over again.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Blitzø finally manages to connect with Loona on a deeper level by proving to her that he will always prioritise her safety and will die for her if it comes to that. It was the last push for Loona to completely lower her guard and actually allow herself to express outward affection towards her father.
Tumblr media
And I think this progress could only happen because Blitzø has never given Loona a reason to feel left behind. This can also be a reason of introspection on Blitz' part as he adoped Loona after seeing himself in her. They had similar childhoods, full of abuse and neglect, and he was determined to make sure Loona won't have to feel that way with him around.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately Stolas has suffered so badly from his depression and loneliness that even by trying his best he has subjected Octavia to the same loneliness he is desperately trying to escape. I hope that instead of resentment, he can learn from Blitzø on how to be a better parent, and also to take care of himself as well. I hope he and Octavia can reunite at some point, but Stolas will need to work more consciously on being there for his daughter.

As much as I loved this Damian centric chapter with his king of antiquity persona, and adventure with the e boys. It kind of saddens me to see how he really only does things for stellas. I really hope we can see what he likes if getting a star wasn’t a factor.
Maybe when the B plan comes to fruition we’ll see.

Helluva Boss S2 Trailer:  “You don’t love mother and you don’t love me!”
I have a problem with this line, and I’ve had a problem with Octavia’s character for awhile now, so I’m going to talk about it.
To cut her some slack, her house and family life is a mess.  Fighting parents, cheating dad, feeling neglected by both parents, and she’s a teenager on top of that.  I get it.  Moody, angsty teen with a really good reason for being moody and angsty.
And Stolas isn’t blameless in all this.  With the cheating, he’s actively a problem, but we can see that he loves his ‘little owlet.’  But he is a terrible father.  In the Seeing Stars episode, I thought that it was going to be a lot more Stolas and Octavia-centric on their relationship, but no.  He and Blitzo spend most of the time looking for her just dicking around in some human comedy act when they really didn’t need to be there.  Seriously, it wouldn’t have been the first time Blitzo massacred a group of humans to get out of an awkward situation, but if Stolas is so concerned about his daughter, then why didn't he do something about their situation? If he loves his daughter so much, why is he okay with this distraction? He's not even the one who gets him out of it in the end.  That was the first time Helluva Boss actually disappointed me.  I don’t think the brief bit of backstory we got with Blitzo and Loona justified the rest of that whole bit, so it was really pointless.  That piece could have been handled better.
Throughout the Stolitz ship, Stolas is 100% ignoring Octavia.  But terrible dad aside, the line from the Season 2 trailer, “You don’t love Mother and you don’t love me!” should be emotional.
Except…. “You don’t love Mother….”
…why would he?
Does Octavia not see what a violent, toxic bitch her mom is?  She has seen her screaming, getting violent, and throwing things. I suppose Octavia could have the opinion that Stella's anger is justified with the cheating and all, but then that explanation implies she thinks reacting violently like that is acceptable behavior. And let’s not forget Stella straight up ordered a hit on Stolas, which nearly succeeded.  Does Octavia not know about this?  Again, Stolas being a terrible dad for not taking steps to get the daughter he supposedly loves away from the psycho who ordered an assassination, but did none of this get back to Octavia?
Not that any of it makes Stolas' infidelity okay. If you're unhappy in a relationship, leave it. But with the way Stella behaves, there's no rational way Octavia can expect her parents to love each other. It sucks to be the child in that position, especially a teen still figuring things out, but that is very much an 'it is what it is' situation and you gotta make the best of it in whatever way you can.
As it stands, it isn't fair for Octavia to entirely blame Stolas for their family falling apart.
"You don't love mother and you don't love me," makes it sound like Octavia is consciously choosing her violent, narcissistic witch of mother over her dad. This also doesn't make sense with the plot because there's no sign of Octavia having a close relationship with her mom. There are no portraits of them together in a loving embrace as we see with her and Stolas. Plus, Stella doesn't care about Octavia. The only two times in the show she vaguely mentions her is as the 'one egg that finally dropped out of her' and when she and Andrealphus are discussing the inheritance that will go to Octavia. She doesn't care about Stolas either. The only effect the cheating had on her was the idea of public embarrassment for their family.
Neither of Octavia's parents care for her the way they should, so for the, "You don't love mother and you don't love me," line to work to its fullest impact, it should have been phrased as, “You don’t love me!  Neither you or Mom love me!”
I do love Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel…but Octavia’s character is really poorly handled.  I remember it being said in an interview that Helluva Boss does have heavier focus on its male characters while Hazbin Hotel was supposed to be more female-centric, but when it comes to Octavia, that structure in the storytelling is crumbling under its own weight. There is a story here and it has some major gaps that need addressing.
To give them some benefit of doubt, maybe this’ll be addressed in an episode before that line hits, so maybe it’ll make more sense. Or they could make it clear she said it out of anger.  At least, I hope so because I really need some righteous retribution for how Stolas behaves with his daughter.
...
Edit for clarity: The point of this post is a criticism of the lack of story we get for Octavia that justifies her motives, not a criticism of why she herself behaves the way that she does. The dysfunctional family is heavy stuff and since it is a front and center issue with Stolas' background, it needs more attention than the series gives it.

Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss Rewrite Ideas #02
Hello! Hello! I've come to bring rewrite ideas for both shows once again! People seemed to like the first one and I like coming up with story ideas with and for practically everyone so here are seven more rewrite ideas for Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss! ______
#01.) Have Alastor's magic sigils be radio symbols over Vodou symbols as it not only makes way more sense with Alastor being the Radio Demon but to not play into a harmful stereotype about a real life religion.
#02.) On the topic of religion, don't be afraid to add a few more religious figures from the Bible or the Torah! As long as you're being mindful about the material you're pulling from, I really don't see this as much of an issue. People make their own spin on angels, demons, Jesus, and God all the time! But for once, this is where Viv gets cold feet even though she already has Adam & Eve there but not their two main children? Or the reason behind why their parents and everything else exists?? Seriously Viv??? #03.) In any case, if you do add the first two siblings then I suggest having Cain possibly work at the Hotel as some kind of repentance considering he's both the first real Sinner and for the fact that he feels guilt over killing his little brother. #04.) Alright, now for some ideas for Helluva Boss! I feel like we've all grown tired of seeing the, "Two people arranged in a loveless marriage," trope with how often it's been appearing and HB is no stranger to this trope and tries to use it as a way to rectify Stolas' affair with Blitzo.
I mentioned this in my third One Hell of an Unpopular Opinion series but if you want to stick loosely to HB's canon then you'd probably be better off with making Stella a surrogate mother as we still haven't seen her interact with Octavia and there was no real point in having Stolas marry Stella if all he needed to do was secure an heir. Besides I'm pretty sure that's what Paimon did in order to get Stolas as we see no signs that he had a mom growing up with how he was raised by a butler. On the contrary, should you wish to keep Stella as Stolas' wife, I'd recommend going the path not taken. By which I mean, have Stella and Stolas marry because, at one point, they did genuinely love each other but over the years that love dwindled and eventually faded out. Even though they'd be better off parting ways they choose to stay together as Great Horned Owls (the owl that the actual Stolas from the actual Ars Goetia seems to be based off of) and Snow Geese (I refuse to believe she's a swan especially since her brother has ice powers and lives in an ice castle) typically mate for life. From here, I'd have Octavia not be born out of the "necessity" of an heir but rather as a last ditch effort to see if their relationship can be rekindled as many couples in real life think that having a child or children will "fix" their relationship. #05.) Sorry for getting somewhat depressing with that last bit. To make up for it, write a fun chapter about I.M.P. having fun by rewriting Episode #05 of Season #01, The Harvest Moon Festival! A lot of people like The Harvest Moon Festival as it is though the majority agrees that it should've been a Millie centric episode. So have her be the reason they go to the Harvest Moon Festival over Stolas, show her competing in the Pain Games, and have her stand up for her husband due to having enough of her family constantly shit talking him. Overall, have Millie excel at being the bad ass girlboss that HB makes her out to be! #06.) Give Octavia some type of found family or friend group. Have her attend a prestigious private school (I doubt Stella will have her daughter attend a regular public high school) and have her become friends with the school's outcasts. The reason this group could be outcasts is because they actually earned their right to be there by getting good grades while most of the students are probably the offspring of Hell's high ranking officials. But seriously, this girl needs (and deserves) a support system STAT! #07.) Properly explain what it takes to get a soul into Heaven. I don't care if you explain this via The Ten Commandments, trusting that Jesus died for humanity's sins, or by using another set of rules from a different religion that isn't Christianity just be certain that your explanation is clear and concise and makes sense for what you have already pre-established for your rewrite. Don't do what the HH series did by saying, "Yeah, we don't know," because that is genuinely how you lose an audience. You can't have the ENTIRE premise of the show being about wanting Sinners to get into Heaven when HEAVEN doesn't even know what gets a soul there in the first place! ______ Well, those are all of the ideas I've got for now! See ya guys!

Regarding Stella,
I do genuinly think it is terrible writing to have her be evil for the sake of evil; it is a tired female villain trope and I do feel that even Stella deserves more depth beyond 'evil ex-wife'
It is not good when you intend for your audience to dislike her as a person but end up making her a bad character on a fundamental level for lack of better characterization.
I would have loved to see her circumstances turn her into the wicked and maligned glutton that she is, in the same way we see how those same circumstances ushered Stolas into subservience, repression and passivity, living vicariously through romantic novels and films and then running into the arms of the first man that would have him.
what does Stella want beyond all that Stolas has? What does taking from him mean for her, and could she be fulfilled through more positive outlets?
Of course, Stella was forced into an arranged marriage and made to raise a child while only one herself just the same as Stolas, and from that we can infer that the control she has over Stolas acts to veneer her own sense powerlessness.
This is something you, the viewer, must clip chimp for. Stella as a person is never dissected in the actual show.
In canon, Stella is evil because she is evil. Our first glimpse of her as a child is her angrily shredding a stuffed animal, and what are we supposed to take away from that besides "oh... she's always been that way"?
You have a good foundation for some standard social commentary; two people who take diverging paths in address their trauma and feelings of isolation, but only one of these characters is given any sort of dimension.
They are just ignoring the nuances of being a Shitty Guy. your antagonist can be sympathic and it doesn't have to excuse anything they've done. In the same way Stolas didn't mean to hurt Blitz, but it's still something he needs to apologize for.
Wrapping up, I don't think stella is evil simply to make Stolas look good, contrary to popular belief. despite it being born of ignorance and his own rose-tinted view of the world and Stolas meaning well, he still has classist tendencies. His juvenile understanding of love and trial-and-error way of expressing it made Blitz feel used and then abandoned. I am a Stolas lover, a Stolas apologist even, but he does not have a clean record and Stella does not distract from that, el-oh-el.
I'm still holding out hope for a Stella-centric episode, but it seems like the focus will be on Stolas and Blitz for a while. I'm hoping for lots of talks, some I'm-sorry's and Blitz's long-awaited confession.

So to summarise my experience of reading How Stella Learned to Talk by Christina Hunger: if it’s not clear, I hated this book. It’s trash. It belongs on the dog edition of If Books Could Kill. There is nothing of substance in it, nothing of value. My major issues with dog buttons remain the same and are now in fact more pronounced. Those issues are:
Dog buttons replace existing communication dogs use with human-centric communication, which only devalues humans learning real dog behaviour
All dog use of buttons is assumed deliberate and meaningful
All dog use of buttons is explained away with creative storytelling
Supporters of dog buttons rely heavily on harmful anthropomorphism
The novelty of dog buttons is considered more important than existing research of dog behaviour and practice of dog training
People like Hunger are either lying to themselves or lying to everybody else and it doesn’t really matter which because functionally the result is the same
I went on the Hunger for Words Instagram page to see what they are up to today. I recognise that Stella seems to use her buttons in a way that suggests familiarity with them, but that doesn’t equate to language use. She also still displays calming signals like yawning, stretching, flat ears, pacing and looking away while using her buttons.
The videos are all short and without much context within the footage. The captions are complete storytelling. There is no way to know that what is happening in the video is valuable because it’s surrounded by unverifiable storytelling and commentary from Hunger.
The Instagram also features videos from other laypeople who think their dogs can talk. One recent video shows a golden retriever repeatedly pressing a button that says "car". The owner attributes this behaviour to the dog "throwing a tantrum about the car". In another featured video, a Pekingese mix presses "chew" then "come" and then puts his lifted paw down on "get it" which is also taken as deliberate communication.
One of Hunger’s tips in the book is to wait for your dog to respond after you have talked to them. Think about how this looks from the dog’s perspective. You have stopped talking, you are making eye contact, you are waiting expectantly. What do dogs normally do when confronted with this kind of body language? They throw out appeasement signals and they offer behaviours that might lead to reinforcement. This is what is recommended as language breakthrough, and that any button pressing that may result from it is deliberate linguistic communication and not instead meaningful communication about the dog’s emotional state and response to your own body language.
My emotional state after finishing this book? Exasperated and sad. The most important thing you can take away from this story is that your dog is always communicating with you, and you don’t need a plastic button to learn what they are saying.

Hello! Welcome to QSMP ZINE! This is where we will be hosting an Egg-Centric, art and fic filled Zine based on the QSMP! Currently, I (stella @stellarumexp, hi hello!) am the only one working on this project, so apologies as updates and progress will probably be a bit slow! >-<
Some details! This zine will be a SFW zine focusing on all of the eggs from the QSMP (yes! Even those like Hope/Memories, A1, and Gegg!) My goal is for each egg to get their own section, filled with art and writings that focus on them (and that feature their friends and family too!)
It is also my goal to offer this zine in other languages - the QSMP is a global community after all! So keep an eye out if you are interested in working as a translator in the future! At minimum, I’d like to offer this zine in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Korean; though if translators can be found for other languages I would be more than happy to offer further translations!
Currently I am looking for some fellow fans who want to help organize this zine. Organizing a project like this takes a lot, so the more people helping out the faster we can get the ball really rolling! So please reach out if you are interested in assisting, especially if you have experience making graphics (very important!) or if you have experience as a finance/shipping mod. (If a suitable finance/shipping mod is found, we would be able to offer an additional physical zine and physical merch options, with all profits going to charity!)
Regardless of whether a shipping/finance mod is found however, this zine will be available as a digital zine! If we can’t find a finance mod, it will be either free or pay what you can to charity! Hopefully, we will be able to offer physical book copies as well as merch, so fingers crossed!
If you are interested in this zine, please follow this blog! That way you can stay informed!

2. What's your favorite and least favorite design in either show?
3. What character do you think has the most wasted potential? Why?
7. What's a ship you enjoy?
Okay so starting of:
2. My favorite design would actually have to be Loopty Goopty's
Tumblr media
I know that seems random, but i honestly really love the way he looks! He doesn't look plain-ish, but also not too clutered to the point he becomes a nightmare to animate like certain other characters (cough cough, Fizz and Beezlebub cough cough). Also always a sucker for classic cartoon villain inspired characters, and you can immediately tell that from his design unlike with other characters.
Now, onto the one i dislike the most... Well this one is actually hard, but i think i'll have to go with Asmodeus.
Tumblr media
Nothing really against him altought i do feel like his character could have been way more interesting but then again this Helluva male centric show Boss were talking about. Onto his actual design, he honestly is between having nothing and too much going on. Like i honestly feel like the way he looks is not fit when it comes to having him be the embodiment of lust, and his full demon form Is honestly pretty lacking too which is pretty disapointing as if HAVE seen that this show can in fact have good full demonic form designs. Case in point:
3. Ohhh boy, now that's a tough question. But i think i'm gonna have to go with Lucifer Morningstar himself. He could have been a genuinely interesting flawed character with him being the ruler of hell and the father of the main protagonist herself and all buuut instead we got Stolas 2.0. because it just won't be a Vivzie show if we don't villanize his wife instead. I mean, do i need to remind you that this is the same guy who manipulated Eve into eating the forbidden fruit of Eden just because he wanted to screw God over and making it so that all humans would suffer over it (and then proceeds to throw a fit about how they had a choice to do better despite him starting all of this)? The same one who couldn't haven't even been bothered to watch ONE broadcast for his daughter since she was on it and therefore didn't even protect or comfort her when it horribly went wrong but It's okay because he's really trying you guys 😞😔 please.
7. Alright, back to being positive! I LOVE Chaggie! They're the cutest and It's such a shame the show barely pays any mind to them despite being the main couple! Others i like are:BlitzFizz, CherriSnake (please don't come at me, i too don't really like how it was handled in the show but it's cute in concept), GoldenGoose (Mammon x Stella), Barbie Wire x Verosika Mayday, Wally Wackford x Verosika, and Carmila Carmine x Zestial!
Thanks alot for the ask, this was very fun to do!

“Just as people's motives vary as to why they choose to transition and to what degree they alter their bodies, those who detransition do so for a variety of reasons. It is often said that the majority do so because of persecution and the lack of support. However, surveys of detransitioners show that "[the three most commonly cited reasons for detransition among trans activists-financial concerns, lack of social support, and institutional discrimination were among the lowest, at 18%, 17%, and 7%—in fact, institutional discrimination was the lowest scoring category."(16)
On the other hand, one of the most common themes expressed by detransitioners is that the process never resolved their deeper issues. One woman explained:
"Being trans" on Tumblr was a fun distraction from the misery of my daily life. I still had next to no friends at my new school, I still had a bad relationship with my parents, I still hated my fat, but at least I could enter this alternate universe where I was a cool guy with lots of followers. It started being a lot less fun when I began pursuing transition in real life.(17)
Others shared similar sentiments:
It's become really clear in recent years that any sort of big problems that I thought I would fix by transitioning weren't really fixed.(18)
It was a waste of my money. It was a waste of my time. It was more time that I didn't do what I needed, which was [to] address my dissociative symptoms.(19)
Some realized after transitioning that their original motives were misguided attempts to grapple with their sexuality. One remarked, "My dysphoria was hatred of my body due to internalized misogyny.(20) In Newcastle, England, hundreds of young women have come forward, seeking help to detransition. What most of the women have in common is that they are either autistic or identify as lesbian.(21) Through a painful process of self-experimentation, they realized that they did not cease to be female just because they didn't fit the feminine mold. On the contrary, by attempting to pass as male, they were conforming to male stereotypes and reinforcing them.(22)
Meanwhile, others choose to detransition because they are dissatisfied with the results. One woman admitted, "Identifying as a male really made my dysphoria worse.”(23) Another remarked that she knew if she continued trying to be a man, "I was going to give myself gender dysphoria eventually ... which is really ironic."(24) Even after receiving chemical and surgical alterations to their bodies, many gaze into their mirrors each day with sorrow at a body that still disagrees with them.”

Do you agree that helluva boss is a male obsessed show?
Oh my goodness I was literally writing an essay on this that I may or may not post to YouTube at some point in life!! Anyway, buckle your seatbelt because this will be long.
So I wouldn't call it male obsessed, more that it has a very obvious favoritism to certain characters. Mainly who I call the Big Four (Blitz, Stolas, Moxxie, and Fizz).
Because of this favoritism, our women characters (mostly Millie but sometimes Loona) get less of a spotlight than they should. This has been a problem since season 1 and I will not pretend that it's not.
HOWEVER, even though it's mostly women who suffer this problem, the show also has this problems with the men outside the Big Four. Read: Ozzie and Striker.
NOW BEFORE THE FIZZAROZZIE FANS COME AT ME, hear me out. Ozzie suffers the exact same problem Millie does as while Fizz gets the spotlight, Ozzie is often reduced to his loving supportive partner. Which isn't inherently a bad thing, but like Millie we know very little of what Ozzie is like outside of being Fizz's partner. Like Millie, he's the more well adjusted half, he's a badass, he's powerful. But we don't know anything else about him. Like Millie, everything we know about Ozzie so far correlates back to Fizz. Even him being talented in robotics translates back to Fizz.
And like I have in my essay, yes he and Fizz have only been in three episodes. But at the same time, there has also only been around three Moxxie centric episodes, and the rest of the time he and Millie are off being wholesome with neither getting character development.
Striker also suffers this issue as despite the fact that he's also been in three episodes, we can still safely say we know almost nothing about him. He's implied to have a tragic backstory and has major hypocrisy issues, but that's kind of it. Which isn't bad for his first two appearances, but for him to be in three episodes and we only know a tiny bit more about him now as we did in his first appearance is a bit of an issue.
I'm not saying that Striker and Ozzie need a character centric episode (although Millie DEFINITELY does), but like a lot of the women in Helluva they need to be able to stand up as their own characters rather than the story's plot device.
So to say that Helluva Boss ONLY has this problem with women is a bit unfair. Don't get me wrong, the women definitely suffer this problem the most and Helluva REALLY needs to fix this. However, it does need to be noted that ANY character outside the Big Four have this issue, not JUST women.
That's why I say I don't think it's "male obsessed", more that it's "Big Four Obsessed," because every character, including other men, suffer a severe underdevelopment in favor for those four.
Now to end it on a positive note, what Helluva does with these four, it does REALLY well. But there's so much focus on them that other characters are often reduced to plot devices that either keep the Big Four from being cold, emotionless people (Ozzie, Millie, Via, and Loona), or are the bad guys for them to defeat (Striker, Stella, and MAYBE Crimson). (I only include Crim because Vivziepop has implied that Crim genuinely thinks he's a good dad.)
