Hey everyone! I’m alive! I’ve just been really busy with work in teacher’s college. I’ll be more free from today until the end of February now. How are all doing? I have a pet pigeon now by the way! She’s the best. I love her so much. Oh and Merry Christmas, happy Holidays, happy winter solstice & happy Hanukkah ! No matter what you celebrate, I hope you’ll have an awesome holiday! Much love.

Sooo... I've been writing two books simultaneously that are semi-connected. Today I started a Sims save to play the storyline a little. I had my cat Dester have kittens with Spot; they're so precious. Their names are Sherlock and Watson, for obvious reasons. I'm loving going full nerd the last few weeks.

Star Trek: Boldly Going Where No Show Has Gone Before
In the vast expanse of science fiction, there are few franchises that have captured the hearts and minds of fans quite like Star Trek. Created by Gene Roddenberry, the original Star Trek series premiered in 1966 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Set in the 23rd century, Star Trek offered a compelling blend of space exploration, ethical dilemmas, and visionary storytelling. In this blog post, we will delve into the world of the original Star Trek series and explore its enduring impact on popular culture and its profound messages of hope and unity.
Visionary Storytelling: Star Trek introduced viewers to the starship USS Enterprise and its diverse crew, led by the charismatic Captain James T. Kirk. The series pushed the boundaries of television by tackling social and political issues of the time through the lens of science fiction. Episodes addressed themes such as racism, war, morality, and the quest for knowledge. Star Trek's storytelling prowess allowed it to offer thought-provoking narratives that resonated with audiences and encouraged them to reflect on the world around them.
A Diverse and United Crew: One of Star Trek's most remarkable qualities was its diverse cast, particularly for its time. The crew of the Enterprise included characters from various racial and ethnic backgrounds, working together harmoniously towards a shared mission of exploration and discovery. This inclusive vision of the future broke new ground and inspired generations of viewers, showing a future where diversity is celebrated and where people can come together to overcome challenges.
Breaking Down Barriers: Star Trek's visionary outlook extended beyond racial diversity. The series also broke down gender stereotypes and explored gender equality through characters like Lieutenant Uhura, the communications officer, and Lieutenant Commander Janice Rand, the ship's yeoman. These female characters were portrayed as capable, intelligent, and essential members of the crew, challenging traditional gender roles and inspiring countless women to pursue careers in science, technology, and other male-dominated fields.
Technological Advancements: Star Trek's influence on technology and innovation is undeniable. The series introduced futuristic concepts that later became real-world inventions. From handheld communicators resembling modern smartphones to the ship's iconic transporter, which inspired the idea of instant teleportation, Star Trek's futuristic gadgets sparked the imaginations of scientists and engineers, contributing to the development of new technologies.
The Legacy Lives On: The original Star Trek series ran for three seasons, but its impact has endured far beyond its initial run. The show spawned numerous spin-offs, movies, books, and a passionate fan community. Star Trek's core themes of exploration, diplomacy, and the search for knowledge have resonated across generations, fostering a sense of hope and optimism for a future where humanity can overcome its differences and work towards a better world.
Conclusion: Star Trek stands as a cultural touchstone, igniting a passion for exploration, equality, and imagination. The original series laid the foundation for an enduring franchise that continues to captivate audiences today. Its vision of a future where humanity strives to better itself, celebrates diversity, and explores the unknown continues to inspire countless individuals to pursue their dreams and work towards a brighter tomorrow.
So, let us raise our glasses and toast to Star Trek, the series that dared to go where no show had gone before, and may its legacy continue to inspire future generations to boldly seek out new worlds, new ideas, and new possibilities. Live long and prosper!

Happy #StarTrekDay. I forgot to prepare anything special, and I don’t really have the time to, so here’s a bunch I made previously but decided not to post for varying reasons. Including ones for Discovery & Picard (which I normally wouldn’t do as they don’t have episode title cards, so it’s less fun to pretend I have unaired title cards*), Lower Decks (which I normally wouldn’t do, since its already a self-aware comedy so making joke title cards isn’t as comically juxtaposing) and the still-upcoming Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Prodigy. Looking forward to the panels and trailers today! (Actually, I’m in the UK, so won’t be able to see any of those until tomorrow, but never mind!)
Disclaimer: This is a fan-made parody account and is in no way representative of actual unproduced episodes of Star Trek.
*Here’s hoping Strange New Worlds has title cards, because it would be fun to muck around at do title cards for that one!
P.S. Wanted to be thorough and have # tags for all conceivable series titles and abbreviations, but it turns out Tumblr only lets you have 30 tags per post (and apparently only the first 20 work??) good times.

I’m performing a survey to try to determine who Star Trek fans are, what brings us together, and how it shapes the ways we see the world.  I have almost 2000 responses already, and every additional response helps!  Every share helps make the data more accurate! When I’m done, I plan to share all of my work back with the community!
