The Triplets (Sonic, Sonia, and Manic)
When I first took the journey back in early 2023, I was expecting I wouldn’t like two-thirds of the trio. But, after the journey, I only disliked ONE-THIRD of the trio! But they are all the main characters, even if one has more plot armor than the others.
Disclaimers and notes for this particular post: •Be warned: These posts are often just MASSIVE walls of text! I have the "Keep Reading" tab there for a reason! •While there is no real order to these, I’ll try and keep things in order of relevance. •There will be times when I'll reference something that involves things that would be more relevant after the 40 episodes. During these headcanons, I'll place a nice little ✨ to indicate that it is one of those headcanons. (Everything mentioned will have some sort of explanation if needed). Think of it as a sneak peek at the story I am working on. •If I happen to update anything within this post, I’ll reblog it with the tag #Sonic Underground Project Update, along with a note on which information was updated.

·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ The Trio Together ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·
Together, the trio seem tightly knitted and FEEL like siblings. I love that about them. As the youngest sister of three, I get the dynamic, even if we aren’t twins. I want these three to be happy. I want to see them succeed. I want them to reunite with their mother.
Although, ironically, I also kind of wish we had more with them separated, or mingling with other characters. But, ah well. That’s what writers are for.
•♫•♬• Headcanons •♬•♫•.
➣The triplets are 15 in the Origin Arc, Wedding Bell Blues, and To Catch a Queen. They turn 16 in Mobodoon. Normally, I’d wait till Mobodoon to put this down but I feel it is too important not to have it right at the start. This makes plot points in other episodes (and wikis) a lot smoother. And it is all thanks to Sonia.
➣Originally the siblings would take turns keeping a lookout while the others slept, they realized quickly that the van worked as their lookout, as it would let out an alarm if someone attempted to enter. Manic still sleeps pretty loosely, however.
➣They also take turns being in charge of driving, though Sonic is least willing to do so.
·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Sonic ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·
Did you guess that Sonic was the one I didn’t like from the three? Congratulations, that’s exactly right! He was also one of the two I didn’t think I’d enjoy going into the journey. So I was 50% right.
Yeah. I felt Sonic was bland. Although, it could be my foggy brain playing tricks on me, covering up all of Sonic’s development and character…but I doubt it. All I remember from him being impatient, obsessed with chili dogs to an alarming degree, and seemingly being the leader of the trio. (His name is in the name of their band, you cannot tell me he wasn’t the leader).
HOPEFULLY, things will change as I add more information here throughout the series, I’ll be pleasantly surprised with what I come out with. Here’s hoping.
•♫•♬• Headcanons •♬•♫•.
➣Sonic was born first out of the three. (I believe this is canon, but I’m putting it here anyway)
➣Though this is technically canon, Sonic’s eye color is green, parallel to Manic’s fur color.
➣Sonic is the unannounced leader of the group. He didn’t want this, it just kind of happened.
·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Sonia ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·
Did you guess that Sonia was one of the two I felt like I wouldn’t like going into the journey? Congratulation! I was surprisingly shocked by how much I fell in love with Sonia throughout the journey.
I feared I’d grow very tired of Sonia’s “rich” and “the girl” characteristics…and I did, but her growing up within the highest class also helped give her so much character. She had lost so much and had the hardest adjusting to this new life. It helps that I came in already liking Bartleby, the character that is closely linked to Sonia.
Her voice is the most annoying of the three. I can’t blame Jaleel White, though. Wasn’t his fault.
•♫•♬• Headcanons •♬•♫•
➣Sonia was born second out of the three. (I believe this is canon, but I’m putting it here anyway)
➣Sonia’s eyes are blue, parallel to Sonic’s fur color.
➣Out of the three, Sonia is the only one who has a driver's license. While she is originally greatly upset over learning her brothers were driving without one. She quickly realized that having a license for anything was expensive, which made it impossible for any normal mobian to get one, and quickly dropped her judgment. In their spare time, she teaches her brothers the things they still need to learn to help prep them for their eventual driver's test.
➣A young Sonia often went out to do self-defense training, much to Lady Windermere’s dismay. Unbinounced to her, Sonia encountered Dingo when they were both kids during one of these outings, mistakenly kicking him.
➣She and Bartleby grew up together. The duo would get into trouble that kids would usually get into.
·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Manic ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·
…I like Manic… I knew jumping into the project that, even if I didn’t like his siblings, I’d like Manic. And I was right. Out of the three, Manic was always my favorite by just what little I knew before the journey, and he is still my favorite by the end of the journey. Nothing has changed.
I genuinely believe Manic was the character with the most development out of the trio and took second for the most development out of ALL characters in the series. Even if he often falls back to his character tropes, I still feel that he grew as a character by the end of the series. He came from living the worst out of the trio to realizing he was taken away from a luxurious life at birth. This boy needs therapy after this is done.
•♫•♬• Headcanons •♬•♫•
➣Manic was born last out of the three. (I believe this is canon, but I’m putting it here anyway)
➣Manic’s eyes are Fuchsia, parallel to Sonia’s fur color.
➣He doesn’t let it show, but Manic holds slight resentment over Aleena and how she handled splitting him and his siblings up, thinking that they could have all stayed in Mobodoon together.
➣While Farrell tried to teach Manic that he should have some trust in others, an encounter with a shady mobian made him question if he could trust strangers or not. Encounters with mobians like Stripes and Luke didn’t help with his lack of trust.

So this is a bit of a dump, BUT I’ve wanted to do always do a Sonic Underground rewrite since the series got cancelled. For ages, I’ve had ideas in my head, and I finally put them down on paper, both writing and art wise (with my wife @ninjaneonleon for the writing).
It’s a background burner project with planning ideas out right now, but it’ll eventually come. For now, have some redesigns of the main three, Aleena, and a new character that’ll be important to the story. 👀
If anyone ever wants to hear more, I’m always down for talking and dumping about it~

[ LOW LIGHT AU ]
Welcome one, welcome all!
This is my new experimental Sonic AU Comic. It’s going to be a 51 page comic focusing on Sonic and Shadow, so if you enjoy that, please stick around to read!
9 years in the future, this story focuses on Sonic The Hedgehog and Shadow The Hedgehog. Both find themselves in an underground city, full of the world’s most vile criminals and shady business dealings.
As a warning, this comic will contain jokes/refernces to mature themes so be weary when reading ahead! The rating could be classified as something as PG 13! Aka, cool comic for cool teens lmfao
Everything is written and drawn by me so please forgive me if there are any errors on pages!.
This comic will not have a strict uploading schedule and is more of a little passion project I want to make when I have the time.
You can peep the progress on pages in my bio! I will post every time I complete four pages.

A Guide to My AU ("Evay AU")
Hello! I make art for anything and everything I love, but if you follow me you'll find that a large amount of my content is centered around my own Sonic AU. I thought I'd make a handy little guide for those of you who are new and just learning about my AU or for those of you who have been following me but might want a refresher.
★This guide is a living document that will be continuously amended as I make changes and additions to my stories. ★
♡♡♡♡♡♡
OVERALL PREMISE
My AU centers around Sonic & Friends through adulthood as they navigate relationships, careers, marriage and family. The primary genres are "slice of life" and "romantic comedy" with some action/drama interspersed throughout. My AU mostly follows the video game canon and the IDW canon with some elements from Sonic Boom and Sonic X tossed in and then I created my own characters and stories to fill in the gaps. My AU DOES NOT include the Sonic Cinematic Universe, Archie comics/characters, Fleetway comics/characters, Sonic Prime, SatAM, the OVA, Sonic Underground, the 1992 Manga, etc.
SPECIAL NOTES
In my AU, I depict "Classic" versions of the Sonic cast as their younger selves with their "Modern/Boom" versions being older.
Although my canon does not include Archie/SatAM, I do refer to Sonic characters' classification as "Mobians" and the planet they are on is referred to as Earth/Mobius interchangeably. I credit this as simply "cultural variation" between humans and Sonic characters but they all originate from the same planet.
MOST IMPORTANTLY please remember this is a fanmade AU. Nothing I say, write or draw influences the Sonic franchise or canon in any way. I'm just here to have fun and I hope you enjoy the ride!
KEY
For the timeline below, Canon Sonic characters will be highlighted in blue and my original characters will be highlighted in pink.
If there is a comic or written fic that corresponds with an element of the timeline, I will include it as a hyperlink.
ABRIDGED TIMELINE
Project Shadow is created and suspended.
Domino and Phlox meet. Sonic is conceived.
Domino raises Sonic to approx. toddler age until she loses her life in a flash flood. Sonic is left alone to fend for himself and eventually represses his memories of Domino to cope with the trauma.
Clay Rose and Lulu Petula meet. Together, they have Amy and she lives with her parents until her fortune cards lead her to meeting Sonic.
Majority of the game/IDW canon takes place.
CC (originally labeled as "Code Compiler") is a spherical/ovoid robot created (August 26) by an independent inventor (no relation to the Robotniks) to assist with production. CC's intelligence rapidly evolves and she gains sentience much to her creator's dismay. After a struggle, the inventor powers her off and the workshop falls into disrepair. The building is marked condemned and CC's chassis remains hidden within the rubble.
Sonic and Phlox run into each other on several occasions. Neither realize they are related.
Amy begins her pursuit of archaeological studies.
A mystery woman going by the name "Light" (who is secretly Aurora from the future) appears and warns Sonic & Team of an oncoming threat that is hellbent on killing Shadow before wreaking havoc on the planet. Light claims she was sent here with the task of protecting Shadow but is not forthcoming with any other information about herself or her 'previous team'. Light & the Team work together to fight off 'the threat' and along the way Shadow develops a romantic interest in Light who also has strong feelings and an allegiance to him for reasons he does not know. Upon defeating the villain, Light must return to where she came from. Shadow tries to discourage her and even asks to accompany her, but she insists that if she stays any longer, she risks causing catastrophic damage. She departs and Shadow vows to find her again.
Rouge and Omega join Shadow in his search to find Light. After combing the globe with no luck, their quest takes them off-world and they go on an interplanetary journey. The three become mercenaries to fund their space expedition.
Knuckles bulks up! His goal of spending time away from Angel Island did him some good!
Sonic and Amy begin a romantic relationship.
Sonic moves in with Amy.
Tails establishes Yellow Sky Industries, a company where he can begin sharing his gadgetry with the world as well as partner up with other innovators to put their genius to good use.
Stone establishes The Mean Bean coffee shop. Much to his delight, Eggman frequents this cafe but is unaware of Stone's affection.
Sonic and Amy get engaged. Upon hearing the news and growing homesick, Rouge and Omega return home, leaving Shadow to continue his journey on his own. While attending the wedding festivities, Knuckles and Rouge rekindle their budding romance.
During one of Eggman's many failed attempts at world domination, he falls victim to a near-fatal accident of his own making. Sonic rescues him, but Eggman loses his right hand in the process. Eggman is forced to reconsider his health and kickstarts some moral dilemmas for him. His attempts at world domination begin to dwindle.
Cream departs home to pursue humanitarian/Mobianitarian(?) efforts
Rouge uses her mercenary wealth to develop her own mining and jewelry business (she does not give up thievery). Knuckles is initially hired on as head excavator, but this job is only temporary until he secures enough money to fund a dream project of his.
With his own money and with the support of Yellow Sky Industries and his friends' investments, Knuckles develops the Young Heroes Program - a nonprofit youth organization. He works full time as a trainer at the program to help empower kids and strengthen the community. Sonic assists YH as needed, but is not a full-time volunteer.
Sonic and Amy decide to start a family. Aurora is conceived.
Rouge and Knuckles get married.
In one last ditch effort to regain Sonic's attention and to encourage Sage to follow in her father's footsteps**(See note), Eggman kidnaps Amy. This triggers her to go into labor early and Aurora is born (March 13). This is the nail in the coffin as far as Eggman's villainous efforts go and he makes an unspoken agreement with Sonic to 'retire' from villainy. He still plans to regularly annoy them by inserting himself into their lives. (**Note: This comic was made before Sage was introduced to the game canon. In retrospect, Sage would have been a part of this story and part of the reason Eggman decided to kidnap Amy, no matter how much Sage discouraged him. Sage instantly bonds with Aurora and vows to be her lifelong friend.)
Amy takes on a second job as an interior designer to support her family while Sonic becomes a stay-at-home dad and focuses most of his time and attention on raising Aurora.
Once Aurora is old enough, she begins attending the YH program. This is the closest Sonic will allow her to participating in any adventures.
Ruff Hyena is born (January 29).
As a defense mechanism against constant bullying from her peers, Aurora’s light powers begin to manifest.
In addition to attending the Young Heroes Program, Aurora begins a mentorship with her Uncle Tails for optics/physics lessons in order to better understand her powers.
Eggman and Stone begin dating.
Aurora begins to experience premonitions in the form of dreams. Amy does her best to help Aurora hone this skill, but without much success.
Tumble Hyena is born (January 30). Ruff and Tumble are abandoned and left to fend on their own before ending up in the foster care system. They remain there for many years.
Aurora develops a crush on a boy named Kyle and they go on a few “playdates”. Aurora invites Kyle over to the house to meet her parents and Sonic does not handle it well. After an argument, Aurora and Kyle agree to not hang out together anymore.
Knuckles and Rouge adopt Ruff and Tumble.
Aurora ages out of the Young Heroes Program. Sonic discourages her from venturing out on her own and convinces her to work for YH instead.
After receiving a heartfelt message from Rouge, Shadow resigns from his quest and returns to Earth. He decides his new mission will be to get to better know the world Maria had always spoken so highly about.
Feeling “stuck” in her life, Aurora broaches the topic of moving out to be on her own. Sonic talks her out of it.
While reconnecting with The Team, Shadow is introduced to Aurora. He instantly recognizes her as the woman he’s spent the last several decades looking for, but doesn’t understand how that’s possible and she is adamant they have never met before. While telling Sonic and Amy of his world travel plans, Aurora offers to be his guide around town as she knows every inch of it. Shadow takes her up on her offer and the two quickly develop a friendship.
Shadow decides it doesn’t matter if Aurora is the Light he formerly met or not. He asks her on a date. Remembering how badly things went the last time one of Aurora’s “boyfriends” and Sonic interacted, she accepts Shadow’s courtship but only if they can keep it a secret for now. Shadow is wary of this, but agrees to her terms.
Keeping secrets from her parents begins to take a toll on Aurora, to the point she is getting sick. She tells Shadow she can’t keep lying to her family, so she tells him they shouldn’t see each other anymore. In hopes to “fix” the situation, Shadow meets with Sonic and Amy to ask their permission to date Aurora. This immediately escalates into a battle between Sonic and Shadow. Aurora intercepts the fight and, heartbroken, she tells Sonic that as much as she wants his blessing, she doesn’t need it, and is going to continue to date Shadow. Sonic, Amy and Aurora have a heart-to-heart to try and reconcile things, but Sonic makes it clear that though Aurora is a grown up and can technically date whoever she wants, she has to follow certain rules while she’s still living in their house.
Tails purchases an abandoned factory to expand Yellow Sky Industries. There, he finds the deactivated CC. He powers her on but she is severely traumatized and significantly damaged. He repairs her and after understanding how advanced her intelligence is, he offers her a job as his lab assistant.
CC quickly develops romantic feelings for Tails.
Knuckles, Rouge, Ruff and Tumble legally change their last names to “Motley”
In her pursuit to become “Mobian,” CC fabricates herself a Mobian-like body.
As Shadow and Aurora’s relationship progresses, they begin to explore more of the world together.
Tails and CC host a charity banquet. Things go awry.
Aurora gets her first apartment. She also begins a singing career.
Tails and CC officially begin a romantic relationship.
Aurora begins to have recurring premonitions about Shadow being in danger. She puts her musical tour on pause to stay vigilant.
A dangerous, mysterious entity appears and attacks The Team, severely wounding several members and nearly killing Shadow. Before the threat can be defeated, it retreats by escaping via time travel where it plans to successfully kill Shadow. With most of The Team out of commission or fearful of altering the timeline, Aurora travels back in time to save Past Shadow and the rest of her family. To protect her identity, she goes by the name “Light.”
Sonic and Shadow reconcile their differences. Sonic becomes noticeably more accepting of Shadow and Aurora’s relationship.
Shadow and Aurora get engaged and move in together.
Aurora continues her musical career.
Shadow and Aurora get married.
Ruff ages out of the Young Heroes Program and in the hopes to follow in Knuckles’ footsteps, he becomes a crime fighter. When Tumble isn’t helping his brother fight crime, he’s working on his own mechs.
Eggman and Stone digitally uploadt heir consciousness to Cyberspace so they can live indefinitely.
Shadow and Aurora decide to start a family. They have their first litter of triplets: Piper, Zane and Nova (November 12).
Shadow and Aurora have a second litter of twins: Aster and Blitz (April 8). At this time, Shadow uses the wealth he’s amassed to construct a large house that can accommodate their growing family.
Shadow and Aurora have a third litter of triplets: Cinder, Diamond and Boon (February 18).
Sonic and Amy return to a life of world traveling.
In addition to attending the Young Heroes Program, Shadow trains all of his children in how to best use their powers for the greater good of the planet.
During a fight, Cinder critically wounds Diamond with his “Stellar Tantrum” power. Boon uses his powers of healing to restore Diamond to full health without any scarring, but Cinder never forgives himself. He becomes withdrawn and distances himself from his family members from this point on.

I was always interested in finding out what have happens on the photo. What gave them the idea of depict Paul's funeral: why the funeral, why Paul? Well…I have an answer, I suppose

More legendary than most, however, were a band briefly signed to Brian, the Big Three. Other musicians on the scene seemed to regard this band with awe. They were the original power trio, real sonic bruisers who’d built themselves the biggest amplifiers - nicknamed Coffins - that anyone had ever seen.
(Liverpool - Wondrous Place by Paul Du Noyer, 2002)
Epstein made his way to the Cavern club to see the group perform at a lunchtime session on November 9th. He wrote later that he had never seen anything like The Beatles on any stage. <…> "I loved their ad libs and I was fascinated by this, to me, new music with its pounding bass beat and its vast, engulfing sound." <…> The "pounding" bass that Epstein described was due in part to a new addition to The Beatles' equipment line-up. In the early 1960s there was really no such thing as a proper bass amplifier. Most bass players would use the most powerful guitar amplifier that they could get their hands on. But these were not designed for bass guitar, and did not provide the deep, throbbing bass tones that bass guitarists wanted. As The Beatles evolved their sound and Best perfected his "atomic beat" the group were searching for a stronger and more solid bass sound.
The band considered by many to be the loudest and most aggressive in Liverpool was The Big Three. They bad started out as Cass & The Cassanovas, a four-piece until leader and frontman Brian Casser left during the beginning of 1961. The remaining members stayed together to form The Big Three: Johnny Gustafson on bass, guitarist Adrian Barber, and Liverpool's loudest drummer, Johnny Hutchinson, on the skins.
Barber says that when they became a trio there was an instant problem: he and Gustafson weren't loud enough to project over Hutchinson's drumming. Even the relatively punchy Selmer Truvoice amp was not enough. Barber, however, had an interest in electronics from his days in the merchant navy. <…> Barber went out and bought a book about loudspeakers produced by G A Briggs, who owned the British Wharfedale speaker company, and inside he found construction details for various sizes of cabinets. "I decided on one, and Denis Kealing said he could get me a 15-inch speaker," recalls Barber. "I built a set-up for the bass guitar and for the vocal, in a cabinet about five feet tall by about 18 inches square. <…> I used that and mounted it in a metal ammunitions case, so we could carry it around without killing it. Johnny Gustafson used it as his bass amp, and it was very successful. "When we carried it we bad to lower it on its side, because it was long and skinny. The first time we took it down to the Cavern, we struggled down the tiny stairs there. As we carried this black-painted thing across the room it looked just like a coffin - and that's how it got its name: the Coffin. Now, the Cavern was the underground basement of a warehouse, with three vaulted brick-built archways. Over the years water had seeped down and brought calcium deposits with it, which had settled in the ceiling bricks. So when Johnny plucked that first bass note it was like a shower of snow corning down. People went, 'Wow look at that … and listen to that.' So we were really impressed, and I got ambitious at that point." <…> Other bands began to notice the relative sophistication of The Big Three's amplification, especially the bass gear. "Liverpool wasn't a competitive scene, before it got commercial," explains Barber. '"All the bands co-operated with one another and backed each other up. It was a cool scene, and I started to build these things for other people. Paul McCartney asked me to make him a Coffin. It had a single 15-inch speaker in a reflex-ported cabinet, with two chrome handles and wheels on the side."
McCartney started to use a Barber Coffin speaker cabinet during the late part of 1961. <…> McCartney himself recalls, "Adrian made me a great bass amp that he called the Coffin. And, man! Suddenly that was a total other world. That was bass as we know it now. It was like reggae bass: it was just too right there. It was great live." Pete Best too remembers the Coffin. "Neil Aspinall and I used to carry it. Every couple of shows there'd be a flight of stairs which you had to carry this thing up, and it was then we'd wonder why he couldn't have got something smaller. We'd have sweat streaming off us. But the beauty of it was, with all the laughing and joking aside, it did produce a great sound. The first time Paul plugged it in and used it, we just said my god, this is incredible. It added to The Beatles sound."
(Beatles Gear: All the Fab Four's Instruments from Stage to Studio Hardcover by Andy Babiuk, 2010)
So, I guess, Paul is lying on his bass amp that they called the Coffin - and it's the reason of the pantomime on the photo.

You know, I never really thought to make a WHOLE ASS PLAYLIST of the songs I'd use in Sleet and Dingo (...and Somethings Bartleby) AMVs or Multi Animation Projects if I could handle that.
Not all the songs that I've fallen in love with are accounted for quite yet. But hey, I'm getting there.
And hey, while I'm at it, here: Have a PLAYLIST OF ALL THE SONGS I have ideas for AMVs/Multi Animation Projects for Sonic Underground. Because I want them to be real so bad, but I don't know how to host them or handle them. ;w;
so i'm not the only one with a sleet/dingo playlist, right
#sonic underground#sleet and dingo#Help my sanity#All I think is these two canines#and just this trashfire#How does one go onto hosting a Multi Animation Project anyway?#You can't tell what fandom I'm in with all these songs#Cough It is the Warrior Cats fandom#Those Multi Animation Projects are amazing ok

I realized this will be...awkwardly placed no matter which spot I put it (the normal Tumblr post or the Google Docs) so here's a free post about my thought process! XD
At the start of Beginnings, we get a scene of Arisicrats in a room having a good time, showing us what Aleena is saying: “As the source of Robotnik’s money, the Aristocrats were left to play."
During this scene...we see this:
The one photo on the wall looks a bit like Snively if he had an adult growth spurt and was a woman. But if you take a closer look at the right edge...you see a farmiliar figure...
My friend suggests that this could be a funny easter egg of “early concept art of Sleet” which would be a funny little detail if true. It could also explain why the other photo looks like Snively, as it could have been early designs for Robotnik or his henchmen. (I'd lean towards a henchmen)
But, IN UNIVERSE, who could this be? Yes. I am overanalyzing this one image that appears in one scene, for about maybe 5 seconds of the show. It isn’t important at all, but Sleet is my hyper fixation if you remember.
I will first say that this cannot be Sleet, himself. The hair and body color is just slightly off to be him. Plus, the outfit is completely wrong, which, on its own doesn’t mean anything, but this is Sleet we are talking about. He seems to care a lot about his looks. So, if it isn’t Sleet, then it must be a relative. They look way too similar to him to not be distantly related in some way. Cool. We got that out of the way.
But this then leaves another question. Where is this party being held? Because depending on if it is in the Palace or at an Aristicrat’s house could change some things. Seeing as there are multiple different photos on the walls, I’ll assume it is the part of the ballroom, connected to the building that we see in Wedding Bell Blues. Maybe a part that Robotnik kept intact for the Aristocrats to play in. This means one thing.
So.., I came to the conclusion that this photo is of a distant relative to Sleet who was, in some way, involved with the Royal Family. And they had a horrible sense of fashion, too.
This is a part of my Sonic Underground Project. To read from the start, here's the Master Post. Or you can just read more Headcanons on Sleet (And Dingo, too).
#sonic underground#sleet sonic underground#sonic underground headcanons#Sonic Underground Project#sleet the wolf#But in all seriousness this most likely isn't anything important#But I MADE IT IMPORTANT!

new au yay!!!!!! still very wip so things may change the further i work on it
summary:
It had been several years since Dr. Ivo Robotnik began to slowly conquer the world of Mobius. He had already taken over the entirety of the United Federation and was beginning to prepare his forces to travel across the ocean, his sights set on Mazuri.
There were a few groups of people who formed small resistances to the empire, but none were as organized as G.U.N: an agency from the United Federation’s old government that was too stubborn to fully disband and worked underground. Some said it was a miracle the agency wasn’t hunted and obliterated the second they made themselves known, others say its no coincidence and they’re secretly being funded by the empire. After all, they claimed to be advanced enough to take out Robotnik so why hadn’t it been done yet?
It was a question Sonic the Hedgehog pondered whenever he was given a mission by the agency.
#i’m calling this au “heartbeat’’#it’s a little info dump-y but that’s cause i was throwing all my ideas into this one thing to kinda sort things out#this is sort of a revamp of my old kitsune tails au mixed with that experiment tails au made a while ago#anyway enjoy!#sonic the hedgehog#miles tails prower#unbreakable bond#the brothers ever#fic#heartbeat au

Bbymutha, "Gun Kontrol" 2024
Special Artist Spotlight: In Conversation with Bbymutha (Part 1/2)
For this first Special Artist Spotlight, I had the pleasure to sit down with Chattanooga, TN’s very own Bbymutha to discuss the evolution of her sound, the industry, and the future of hip hop.
“So,” I begin, “Who is Bbymutha?”
The rapper giggles, “hmm, I don’t know…I guess I’m a rapper, and a mother, and a artist in general-”
“and a girlfriend too” her boyfriend and fellow artist Fly Anakin chimes in from somewhere off camera.
I ask Mutha how they would define their music as an artist, and what the driving forces behind it may be. From a sonic standpoint, the rapper states that whatever beats “tickle her brain” and get stuck in her head are the ones that make the cut. Emotionally, Mutha says that she has always used music as a way to vent, and take out her frustration, stating that if she wasn’t rapping, she would be doing things like journaling instead.
The rapper also mentions the concept of vanity as a driving force behind her music. Though she is not so sure about this particular word choice, I feel like I understand exactly what she means - that “braggadocious” quality for which hip hop is adored as much as it is disparaged. I particularly connect with this point, and mention that that has been one of the overarching themes of the Underground Archives project; the idea of affirmation and manifestation as part of the vast appeal of rap music, even to audiences - especially those outside “the culture” - who may not relate to the circumstances the rappers describe, but relate to the feelings being communicated (which speaks to the power of music, but also makes cultural appropriation/extraction an ever looming threat).
It is no secret that Mutha has deep roots in the South, with Southern hip hop deeply influencing her own music. I ask her opinion on people’s tendency to homogenize the South when it comes to rap music, and if she has an issue with being defined in that way. She responds:
“Of course I’m a Southern rapper but what bothers me is when they try to box you in and say “oh you [only] make trap music”
I thought this was valid, noting that there is a certain stigma that comes with that label - “trap” music - in general. As if her catalogue would be somehow less worthy if it was all “just” trap, though the genre has been so commercialized and oversaturated, that you can understand the tendency to underwrite it.
I decide to pivot and ask the spooky rapper to tell us about some of her influences on her sound and aesthetic as an artist. She names horror movies and game soundtracks as a major inspiration, as well as horror manga like Junji Ito’s. She also adds that her kids are, of course, a major inspiration, and that they keep her “in the loop” with what’s in these days.
Mutha also names fashion as a major source of inspiration, and a key component of her identity as an artist.
“My fashion reflects my music, my music reflects my fashion”
Anyone who has seen the rapper’s music videos or social media profiles can attest to that, as the rapper is always sporting a look - a mixture of dark and boldly colored; edgy and whimsical - a lot like the rapper’s music. Mutha briefly mentions how she has picked up crocheting in recent years, and has crocheted a number of her own looks, especially for her Sleep Paralysis tour last year. She even has an online storefront for her crochet items (https://freakbastard.bigcartel.com/), though she does lament the pressure to monetize every hobby or creative pursuit she has.
“Im the person that people want around cause I make everybody feel good about theyself but nobody listens to what I have to say”
To describe the influences on the content of her music, Mutha reminisces about her childhood, and what drew her to making music in the first place. She recalls how she would always write poetry, or write in her diary, so making music felt like a natural progression of that expression - simply another outlet. Now, the seasoned rapper’s music has effectively become her diary, but there are new challenges and limitations to that mode of expression due to how public it is.
I tell her I have to bring this up even though it will make her groan
We have to take it back to (almost) where it all began - Rules (Glow Kit, 2016). Mutha’s first big hit. A mega cult classic and fan favorite. And, coincidentally, the song the rapper wishes she could just lay to rest.
Sure, the rapper was talking her shit. The iconic refrain “you can’t give your pussy to a nigga who not used to getting pussy ‘cause that pussy gon’ be everybody’s business” is still quoted by fans to this day.
Yet Mutha hates it - and for a few reasons. She is tired of being requested to perform the song, which is nearly a decade old, when she has released so much music (two full length albums and a number of EPs) since. She also describes how the song is not even close to one of her best- in fact, she personally sees it as one of her worst, “the song was literally just a rant with a hook on it.” Most of all, she resents the idea of basically being asked to “turn up to [her] trauma”
I suggest that maybe people love the song so much because it’s such a relatable message, and that listeners may reclaim their power by thinking “oh, Bbymutha went through this too, maybe I’ma be alright” to which she laughs and responds: “don’t do that because you don’t even know if I’m alright for real!”
“If you still want me to be that same bitch then you dont know whats best for me”
There is definitely much to be said about the commodification of the artist and their experiences, as well as the audience’s inability to move on. Mutha certainly agrees that a lot of fans are stuck on her older stuff, like “Rules,” and laments the tendency for fans to try and box her in where she wants to grow. She also notes that she is through talking about men and their drama in her music.
“I’m tired of talking about men, it's never nothing good to talk about them for” she giggles. Now, Mutha is much more interested in expressing vulnerability on her own terms, and choosing which songs she wants us to turn up to.
Mutha wants to continue along this trajectory, about the commodification and inevitable dehumanization of artists. She is disturbed by the idea of audiences wanting to “vibe” to artists’ real pain (TikTok trends like the dance to Kendrick Lamar’s “Money Trees” is another example that comes to mind). She describes this obsession with stuff like “sad girl music” as a type of emotion harvesting, which unfortunately comes with the expectation that the artist only makes that type of music. But where is the room for growth?
Mutha also believes stan culture and social media is partially to blame for this phenomenon, describing a sort of pressure - from the fans, but also from the labels - to have a viral moment and keep chasing or trying to recreate that moment.
So, I ask the rapper how she keeps herself grounded while dealing with all this, and how we can open up space to have this conversation with those who are willing to listen.
She laughs as she reminisces about how she used to cuss people out online when they stepped out of line, but admits that she has scaled it back to protect her peace. The rapper keeps her X (formerly Twitter) account “on lockdown” by making her account private, but Instagram is more difficult to navigate because she does not want to make that page private.
One thing that has particularly grinded the rappers gears dealing with social media is the overfamiliarity, especially pertaining to a certain B-word (“Where’s the album BITCH??!?”). She acknowledges that people like this probably just get a little too excited, but she has definitely cussed a fan or two out for it in the past.
I ask her how we can find the balance between humanizing artists but not idolizing them, to which she responds “I would love to know.”
Mutha believes she has put in her 100 hours with all the cussing people out she used to do, and at this point in her career, just prefers to focus on the love and getting to know the people who love the music instead of feeding into the hate and drama.
“I get it because I’ve done it but it aint really worth it…the fans be feeling important when you go back and forth with them, when you could just talk to me normal and feel just as important going back and forth with a regular conversation. But they know if they say some negative shit to you that that’s going to get your attention faster”
So, Mutha is much more focused on engaging with the love and choosing what’s really worth responding to. Otherwise, she will just block you and go about her day (though, she will still cuss a b*tch out if need be. Be warned!)
“People gon be people life is life it’s like high school never ends”

10 CYBERPUNK ARTISTS THAT'LL JACK INTO YOUR SKULL AND REWRITE YOUR TASTE IN MUSIC
Your auditory implants won’t know what hit ‘em.
Right then, reader — pull up your faux-leather trousers and strap on your chrome-plated headphones. We’re blasting through the corrupted circuits of the 2025 underground, bringing you 10 contemporary artists who sound like they’re scoring a riot in Neo-Tokyo while being hacked in real time. Yes, there’s synths. Yes, there’s screaming. No, Grimes isn’t on this list.
MACHINE GIRL Genre: Gabberpunk, Cybercore, ADHD-core Ever wanted to be mugged in a server room by a rave demon? Machine Girl has you covered. It’s breakbeats plus punk plus absolute chaos. Every track is a manic assault from a frothing modem on fire. Start with “MG Ultra” — it's like doing parkour through a collapsing arcade. Machine Girl is a project from New York-based Matt Stephenson, who started it in 2013. What began as breakcore mutated fast into a multi-genre freakout. Live performances are frenzied, sweaty, and borderline ritualistic, often featuring live drums and mosh pit energy in tiny venues. Bandcamp: https://machinegirl.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0WwSkZ7LtFUFjGjMZBMt6T
TENGUSHEE Genre: Faewave, Electrofolk, Cyberdrift, Post-Ratcore This glitching shadow-beast of the net is what happens if a faerie takes too many digital drugs and starts a resistance movement in a cursed VR chatroom. Tengushee doesn’t just cross genres — they light them on fire, digitise the ashes, and make a concept album out of it. Expect story-driven drops, haunted samplers, and the occasional whisper from the void. Tengushee operates like a ghost in the wires, often dropping full-concept albums with narrative arcs tied to multimedia projects, zines, or even encoded tone signals. Based somewhere between London and Faewave, their work includes collaborations with glitch-artists and mythmakers, crafting a world as deep as it is weird. Bandcamp: https://tengushee.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5pPzJk8q2YbVRo3dEiE5rZ
PERTURBATOR Genre: Darksynth, CyberGoth Former black metal guitarist turns synth wizard and soundtracks the end of civilisation in style. Every track feels like the opening credits to a forbidden anime you found on a hacked VHS tape. His recent albums dip into goth rock, coldwave, and grim industrial — a sonic warehouse rave thrown inside a haunted monolith. James Kent is the man behind Perturbator, rising out of the French synthwave explosion in the early 2010s. What set him apart was the sheer cinematic density of his work, as well as his willingness to evolve. His later albums feel like full-blown existential crises scored with analog doom. Bandcamp: https://perturbator.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0O02jvPzKT1kQEYg5XEqRA
GUNSHIP Genre: Synthwave with Dad Issues Think “Stranger Things” but horny for Blade Runner. GUNSHIP slaps synth arpeggios across your face while whispering movie references into your ear. Songs like “Tech Noir” and “Dark All Day” are pure neon cocaine. Bonus points for the video with Tim Capello, the sax guy from The Lost Boys. Formed in the UK, GUNSHIP emerged from the ashes of alternative rock band Fightstar. What they lacked in punk energy, they made up for with lush synth arrangements and cinematic ambition. With vocal guests ranging from horror icons to YouTube animators, they’re a love letter to analog future-fantasies. Bandcamp: https://gunshipmusic.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/3dD9W6Gh8Mo9Tu4S7ydz8q
SHREDDER 1984 Genre: Darksynth, CyberMetal French producer who mashes heavy metal energy into a screaming cyberpunk blender. His album "Dystopian Future" is all dark atmosphere and adrenaline. This is music for doing squats with a neural interface strapped to your head. Shredder 1984 is exactly what it says on the tin: shred. A project born from metal roots but raised on VHS aesthetics and neon grime, Shredder builds tracks that feel like boss fights in an underground data vault. Occasionally throws in face-melting guitar solos for good measure. Bandcamp: https://shredder1984.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2YlR5FzF4XWgeXGxR2b3Vh
REVOLTING PUPPETS Genre: Cyberpunk Punk These Swiss psychos deliver rebellious punk fused with grinding electronics. The kind of band that would stage-dive into a riot squad. Add in LED helmets and maximum cyber attitude and you’ve got a live act worth risking a black eye for. Born in Bern, Switzerland, the Puppets are part cyber-art project, part live-action political tantrum. The band leans hard into performance art, complete with backstories and a lore-rich website that feels like an ARG. Think Rage Against the Machine, but upgraded with malware. Website: http://revoltingpuppets.com
CLIPPING. Genre: Sci-fi Horror Rap Experimental hip hop trio fronted by Daveed Diggs that brings tales of malfunctioning AIs, haunted ships, and cosmic terror over glitch-heavy beats. Their albums feel like audio novellas for doomed protagonists. Start with "There Existed an Addiction to Blood" or "Visions of Bodies Being Burned." clipping. formed in Los Angeles, with William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes providing the surgical, abrasive production. Their use of silence, static, and horror tropes makes them unique in the rap world. And yes, Diggs was in Hamilton, but don’t let that fool you — these guys write soundtracks for existential dread. Bandcamp: https://clppng.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7cNNNhdJDrt3vgQjwSavNf
BEAST IN BLACK Genre: Cyber Metal, Synth Power If you're into big riffs, bigger vocals, and synths that sound like they were mined from an alien war machine, Beast in Black delivers. Their album "Dark Connection" is basically a concept record about AI girlfriends and cyber-samurai. Finnish-Greek metal band formed by former Battle Beast guitarist Anton Kabanen, Beast in Black are unapologetically bombastic. They mix anime aesthetics with power metal drama, and if you can get past the over-the-top vocals, you’ll find a band that gets how to marry synths with shredding. Website: https://beastinblack.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5wJ1z2KgFvb1GQ9ApnFlog
OKLOU Genre: Glitchpop, Cyberambient A softer, prettier ghost in the machine. Oklou blends vaporous vocals with ambient electronics and medieval fantasy energy. It’s like if a fairy princess got lost inside a Sega Dreamcast. Oklou is the moniker of French artist Marylou Mayniel. With classical music training and a background in club culture, she creates tracks that are emotionally dense but digitally fragile. Her work occupies the misty edges of cyberpunk, where romance and signal loss overlap. Bandcamp: https://oklou.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1FqqOl9itIUpXr4jZPIVoT
NAZAR Genre: Deconstructed Club, Warwave Amsterdam-based producer with beats sharp enough to cut through reinforced concrete. Inspired by war, trauma, and classic cyberpunk anime. His upcoming album "Demilitarize" might be the most realistic sonic vision of future conflict you’ll hear this year. Nazar was born in Angola and raised in Europe, and his music reflects that blend of postcolonial tension and Western club evolution. His productions on labels like Hyperdub use field recordings, mechanical rhythms, and unflinching political commentary. Harsh, heavy, and honest. Bandcamp: https://nazarmusic.bandcamp.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1pQWsZQehhS4wavwh7Fe8D

Hello! I am so inspired by your fanfiction, it is amazing, great! I’m curiuse, what do you think about movie Sonic 3 and about Sonic and Shadow relationship there?? Maybe will you wtite something anout sonadow from Sonic 3? And what do you think about differece between movie Sonic/Shadow and comics Sonic/Shadow??
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Hm... That's a good question. I have seen the Sonic movies, and I do have thoughts on how the third handled their dynamic.
I should start with this and be upfront: I dislike the movies. There are things that they do well, and overall they exist to just be fun, but they also make changes to characterization and events that I don't appreciate. If being negative about these movies upsets anyone, I wanted to put this warning first so they can scroll on! (Also I'm sure half of this makes no sense so tolerate me, I am sleep-deprived!)
So first off, the differences between comic/game and movie Sonic and Shadow are substantial.
Let's start with Sonic:
Sonic in the games is meant to be much simpler. He is an anomaly of nature with an origin unknown. His carefree spirit, his love of the wind and adventure, his desire to help others... It's all simply who he is. In the same way Eggman's desires are straightforward in their cruelty, Sonic's are straightforward in their compassion. He doesn't care if he's seen as the bad guy and he doesn't care about being "the Hero". He will do what is right because it is right. He enters conflict one way and will leave said conflict in the same exact way, instead influencing the characters around him to change for the better. In the games since Sonic Colors, he has been more... snarky (?) over the more whimsical and "I say weird poetic shit that makes people think deep teehee~" dialogue the older games had, but overall this stuff has remained fairly consistent. That's about as easy as I can put it.
Online, you will see plenty of discourse over who Sonic is as a character. Now, I'm not a stickler regarding this kind of thing. I don't mind spin-off material changing up aspects of Sonic to better suit the story, even if they're not my favorite thing. Sonic Boom making him more egotistical and dry made sense for the comedy. Older cartoons like SatAM and Underground being written to follow how American cartoons approached characterization and humor also made sense, and in turn, it made sense why Archie Sonic was written in the way he was. In general, I like that these things exist on paper, even if they're not my cup of tea.
That all being said, Movie Sonic makes a lot of changes I just don't really like. While his exact origins are unknown, they've shaped his morality and desires off of the influence of Longclaw, his deceased mother figure. He struggles with doing "the right thing" because he wants to be a hero, but he's just a kid learning responsibilities. He's learning about the world around him and being taught through his relationships with Tom and Maddie. I guess, in a way, he is "learning" to be like the Sonic in the games. I think he's written like this so younger audiences have a character they can project onto. This makes perfect sense, as a lot of the nuances of Sonic's character from the games might be lost when translated into a movie format. People didn't really understand a lot of the qualities of Sonic X's Sonic for a long time, and the movies are much shorter than a show, so it all makes sense...
I just find it really boring.
Sonic as a character is very unique and multifaceted. Mysterious in so many ways, yet gives you a sense of hope in the darkest of moments. His influence on others, his worldview, his dynamics... They all feel so fascinating in the games. He appears simple, but beneath the surface, there is much to understand. Movie Sonic is basically a completely different character at his core with surface-level attributes of Game Sonic -- fast, quippy, might have ADHD but we haven't had the talk, "good", will always do "the right thing" in the end. And again, that's fine. I don't want to yuck anyone's yum! It's just not for me.
Now for Shadow:
Movie Shadow did NOT have enough screen time, so this is susceptible to change in the future, but personality-wise he seemed fairly consistent with his SA2 appearance which I appreciate. He is quiet, mourning, a bit sassy when he needs to be, lost in his pursuit of vengeance. They kept the theme of Shadow's loss of autonomy due to Gerald's influence, they highlighted the impact Maria had on his life enough for viewers to understand why he cared so deeply (while also correlating it to Sonic's relationship with both Tails and Tom in subtle ways, which is neat), they weren't afraid of making him appear sad. They even nodded to his insecurities about his alien DNA, an understated aspect of Shadow's character overall. Not to mention the "revenge = suicide" theme they didn't shy away from, which was a pleasant surprise.
However... I've tweeted about this before, but Maria's depiction in this movie and how it in turn changes parts of Shadow's character REALLY... REAAALLLLLLY aggravates me.
Shadow's entire character surrounded itself with the idea of identity and choice for years. Was he a weapon? Was he a cure? His creation in a lab for the "betterment" of humanity, a weapon for G.U.N. + the Black Arms, and as a cure for Maria... The core aspect of his own game was his realizing he had the potential to be ALL of these things, but it was up to him to decide. Not only about choice, but the fact that he himself should be the one to make said choice. That he cannot let others influence him in his choices. This is a huge part of the tragedy of his "death" in SA2. Maria's wish for him and Gerald's meddling with his mind symbolically kill him. His game is about reclaiming the loss of his personhood and putting the past behind him.
Movie Shadow's origins make him a being from space. He is not made in a lab, so he has no insecurities about curing Maria despite being supposedly "perfect." He is not on the ARK, detached from the world and planet his sister loved dearly, unable to fundamentally understand even a fraction of the normal life that was robbed from her (and him too, subtly). He is not a weapon for G.U.N., so he has no reason to be confused over the dichotomy of humanity's love and cruelty. He is not ALL of him, they've only made a fraction of him. He is fundamentally a weaker character because of this change.
(Also, just... writing Maria as not sick is a huge blow. Shadow Generations gave us a huge insight into how her illness affects her, how it pains both Gerald and Shadow to witness... Such powerful representation, only to remove it entirely from the movie. And then you go online seeing people praising Movie Maria over Game one because she got to have a montage where she played with Shadow... like that's not the WHOLE POINT of her character... that she can't BE a "normal" kid... There are kids out there playing these games who felt seen by her depiction in the games... One day I might go REALLY into this because it just offends me personally, but yeah, don't like it!)
Oh also I hated Gerald this movie. Everything about that. It's not Shadow related and I'm not as passionately angry about it as I am with Maria but I just needed to get that out there lmfao
Now for both Sonic and Shadow together:
For the few moments they had, they were cute! Shadow was depicted as a similar age to Sonic, which is great! They had Sonic trying to reach out to him constantly because he could see he was hurting, also great! Sonic having a moment of rage and nearly killing Shadow is... interesting BUT for the plot they set up, it made sense. I think Sonic going on a quest for revenge at the expense of his friends is like... incredibly generic and possibly the most boring route to take for him. Like for so many other protagonists this wouldn't be an issue, but this is such a not-Sonic thing to do in this way I couldn't help but laugh a bit when he and Knuckles were beefing. I understand what they were doing. It's just... That's Sonic talking to Knuckles. For movieverse, it makes sense don't get me wrong... I just laughed a little.
The scene they had on the moon was my favorite. Not only because relating Shadow to stars propaganda was going strong in my head, but I like that Sonic was the one to make him see that revenge wasn't the answer. In the games it's Amy in a different way, and I would never change that about the games, but for the Movieverse I like this. Very cute. It worked well for the changes they made to each character. It was also a great message on grief, even if it isn't how Sonic would convey this message in the games. I do want to write about this scene one day and why I liked it for the movies, but I want to rewatch the movie before I do so.
But yeah overall... Sonic movies are meh to me.
To answer your second question: I will likely not write a fanfic within the movieverse since I don't find it compelling. If inspiration ever strikes though then I'd be open to it, I'm just not really a fan and don't have any plans to do so as of now. Hopefully that all made sense!

Underground: Revamped
#2
Information about some supporting cast!
Knuckles
The last of the echidna
Considered one of Robotnik’s “lackeys,” though more often acts in his own interests
Quills glow due to unknown causes; Robotnik believes it has to do with his medallion
Lived in the flourishing remnants of Mobius under Stripes’ leadership. No one knew he existed in their vicinity, as he was in a hidden grotto attempting to keep his ancestors’ history alive. He was an older puggle when Robotnik struck his deal with Stripes. Knuckles grew upset and intercepted Robotnik’s machinations. The scientist, seeing potential in taking the last of the echidna, took him under his wing and spoke of others trying to steal the echidna’s “life purpose.” He immediately sticks to the scientist like a nervous-yet-bullheaded child.
Knuckles grows up as Robotnik’s unofficial ward. He has his medallion, though he doesn’t know exactly what it does. He finds the Sonic Underground to be disrespectful to his ancestors and their protection of chaos energy. He refuses to show Robotnik his first home.
Age: 14-16
Shadow Robotnik
Robotnik’s “official” ward
Considered one of Robotnik’s “lackeys,” though ignores most of the scientist’s whims
Wears mechanical gloves to give the illusion of roboticization
Technically is Robotnik’s nephew, but neither make that public knowledge. Maria Robotnik was his cousin, but the pair had a close sibling relationship. She took over their grandfather’s project, Shadow, and started caring for him as if he were her own. Her sudden death brought Shadow and the doctor under the same roof. Shadow doesn’t care about Robotnik’s designs for the future, he just wants his mom back.
Shadow and Knuckles have a stepbrother-esque relationship. The pair team up if Robotnik requires it, but they don’t care how sloppily they do it. They have better things to do. Shadow has been granted the privilege to see Knuckles’ original home. He goes there to stare up at the stars, sometimes.
Age: 15-17
Miles “Tails” Prower
Mechanic under Robotnik
Dingo’s little brother
Violinist, secret fan of the Sonic Underground
Came with Dingo when he started working for Robotnik. Scared that they might be kicked out and/or roboticized at any moment. He started tinkering in biomechanics after Dingo was experimentally roboticized with biological nanobots that allow for his physical form to change. He constructed an electronic violin to try and help counter the brainwashing that common forms of roboticizing cause.
He started sneaking into resistance meetings to try and catch the attention of the Sonic Underground. He is a very big fan and wants to work up the courage to ask them for help with getting he and his brother out of Robotnik’s reach.
Age: 8-10
Frye “Dingo” Prower
Mercenary under Robotnik
Tails’ older brother
Experimental biomechanical roboticization used on him
Recruited by Sleet under the promise of providing for his brother. Views Sleet as a fatherly figure. Has a good conscience, but ignores it at Sleet’s behest. Frequently threatened with harm to Tails if he doesn’t comply. Encourages Tails’ interest in music, but tries not to think about it too hard for fear that Sleet or Robotnik will find out.
Frequently gets into scraps with people over Sleet’s reputation. Tries not to let Tails see how the roboticization affects him (intense physical pain, mental strain).
Age: 19-23
Sleet
Well-known mercenary
Works under Robotnik for the thrill
Likes pushing the limits of Dingo’s enhancements
Interplanetary mercenary with a bloody reputation. He doesn’t have the brightest of minds, but his physical prowess and agility prove difficult to overcome. Keeps his left hand uncovered for easy access to the controller over Dingo. His right hand is often used to threaten and maim.
Has a deep dislike for Knuckles, Shadow, and Tails. Finds their presence annoying and detestable. The only reason he doesn’t obliterate them is because he wants to keep a tight leash on Dingo and stay on Robotnik’s good side.
Age: 37-42
Other Notes:
Knuckles, Shadow, and Tails leave each other be. They have no malicious feelings toward each other. Shadow is well aware of Tails’ involvement with the resistance, but couldn’t care less. Knuckles doesn’t care at all, merely complains about the misuse of medallions.
Sleet uses Dingo’s naivety to deflect his crimes. Aside from being a mercenary, he commits petty theft and kidnappings. Dingo’s hero worship proves a good alibi.
Dingo refuses to tell Tails how he got the scar over his eye. Tails suspects it was from a scrap on the streets trying to survive. He actually got it from their mother after she threw them out for being a burden, but he wants Tails to believe their parents were kind.
Dingo’s spots are patches of fur that have lightened due to the stress and physical pain of his roboticization.
