Mexico's first world meeting is being moved to Gods Demigods and Nations oh my!
I'm Leo Valdez and you? (Finished 1/1)
Crossover fic with KOTLC and PJO where Leo Valdez is Jensi (tag: Leo valdez and the elves) Leo Valdez and the Elves (WIP)

They do it together so the kids are raised like siblings (Yes I know Hephaestus remarried but in this AU they got divorced because Hera and Zeus forced Hepheastus and Aphordite back into a marrige) how will this change the plot, idk (tag: Hephaestus and Aphrodite pay child support) Child Support written by Olympus' most toxic couple (Rivalled by Zues and hera) (WIP)
Gods, Demigods and Nations, oh my - This is the second main AU I'm working on, it's a hetalia Crossover AU but you don't need to know anything about Hetalia for the first arcs of the AU (Tag: Gods, Demigods and Nations, oh my) The Boy who held up the sky - Denmark centric fic exploring his mortal life before he became a nation The Boy who Held up the sky (WIP 1/15)

Dark Percy this, dark Jason that. Have you even LOOKED at Nico???
He survived Tartarus. ALONE. A place that Percy would never have made it through without Annabeth, a place that pushed him to the limits of his powers and morals. Let me repeat that. TARTARUS. Percy only glimpsed the horrors of that place, and he said it would have driven him insane. The strength of mind and will that journey must have taken, nevermind the power, should mark him out immediately.
When he gets mad, darkness pours from the ground around his feet. Skeletons and ghosts rise up around him. I've seen people talk about Percy exploding toilets, but that was when he was younger and had less control. Nico is so powerful that that happens when he's exhausted and upset. Plants around him wither and die when he doesn't actively prevent his power from overflowing. The potential for destruction in that is UNFATHOMABLE and he thinks nothing of it! NO ONE does!!
He commands ghosts and spirits and zombies, serves Hades, travels through Tartarus, shadow travels (the amount of strength his journey with Reyna must have taken??? Insane) all through the books. I honestly think he is even more overpowered than Percy, it just is ignored. He's not built up as anything more than an edgy loner, but he's damn powerful. A child of the Big Three. A son of HADES.
And this is his normal. We haven't seen his journey through Tartarus. We don't know what his Akhlys was. We can only guess at how destructive and powerful it was, because what we see is Nico as he is normally, not dark Nico.
Dark Nico would be terrifying.

It would be cool if Hazel and Leo helped Percy out after Tartarus, at least about his issues with his powers.
Like ,I don’t recall the cannon about this very much, but I’m pretty sure Percy was horrified about what he was able to do in Tartarus, partially because of Annabeth’s reactions.
It would make sense for him to at least go to Hazel about it or for Leo and Hazel to figure it out from context clues because both of them fully understand being terrified of hurting others with your powers.
I don’t think he’d really want to go to Annabeth about this specific subject because of her reaction to what he did, though that not judging her or anything. I just think he’d find it easier to talk with people who actually fully understand him.
especially because she knows exactly what happened to Hazel. It would’ve been awesome to see the two of them talking about it, especially because after SoN the two of them don’t talk much.

So, Hades calls Zagreus "boy" to condescend to him.
Also Chronos calls Melinoë "My girl" to condescend to her.
Becoming what you hate, history repeating itself etc etc...

Whoever wrote that percy jackson au of the dead boy detectives, you live under my skin and I love you. So much so that my brain tried to think of a way to make it even more canon-accurate without making them dead. or reborn Hazel Levesque style.
What I have so far is playing on the whole West civilization bit and how it moved to the.. well west - but also that World War 2 was a big three kid conflict? So. I have sort of a time-table and I'm throwing it out of the window.
Edwin is a child of Athena - that much stays the same - who is very bookish and very studious but not in the way the rest of his siblings are. They are handy and crafty, strategic and interested in architecture or design. He.. is not. (I need a reason why his siblings didn't come to help him when the "death scene" happens.)
The whole boarding school is one of many spread across the London countryside - Chiron moves a lot. They teach both ancient and modern warfare because magic or not you can't escape the bloodshed forever - you either get drafted or you run and get blacklisted somewhere or another.
(St Hilarion was actually a son of Apollo that got really popular during the Crusades - Zeus didn't smite the school when it was established because times are different and Hera would be angry if there was another big fire with no explanation that put their soldiers'- eh-hem- kids' lives at risk.)
They still teach Latin alongside Greek because it was what all normal boarding schools did and that's what they were. Maths, English, and Sciences - were all taught to the boys. The girls went to another school - where they were taught the bare minimum to survive. Because sexism was rampant and if the Romans were on the wrong side of the civil war, that means no matter how progressive the gods could have been in certain areas, they aren't now/then–
Artemis really, really hated that time period. Zoë or this version of Zoë got a kick out of shooting so many assholes in the face. Or in their dicks. They also got way more recruits than in later years. Silver lining.
Anyways: Simon - son of Hecate - and the bunch of boys, one of which was a son of Hades, do the whole let's sacrifice Edwin. Only the book is a Christian book on witchcraft that Simon truly didn't think would work. He and the rest - Hades boy included - did the whole preparation of the sacrifice as it was absolutely terrifying for Edwin to experience on top of everything else. They didn't know it was a real thing - but is the only reason why Edwin stays alive.
It's essentially a stasis charm that lets the ritual run for as long as needed without the poor victim dying beforehand. It requires bloodletting and "runes" and such. The thing is scary, traumatizing stuff so it seemed like a fun thing for Simon and his buddies to do. So they did it.
They skimmed the reading. Blood with power is spilled, ritual that is very real gets haphazardly done and so monsters get involved.
Fun fact, that I'm really hoping is actually true - sometimes monsters with names similar to other religions' occult beings pick up the summoning calls. If the ritual is shoddy enough for them to hear, the participants all die either way, it's only important who gets there first.
So. The bullies get killed and a fury-type thing drags Edwin's whole being to the fields of punishment so it can feast on its offering. He gets dusted Sally Jackson style.
We enter his hell era. ( Part 2, Part 3, TBC )

Imagine Apollo with Howl's hair changes. Like I'm thinking he's mostly blonde, at some point red, and black haired after the death of Asclepius

the show chb logo was also ripped from fandom, like in the past decade all the official chb shirt had the logo without the circle and then the fandom started doing and the show went for it, sorry your tags reminded me of that
[Link to post/tags in question]
Yeah, I know Delphi Strawberry Service has done more circular-based CHB shirt designs for ages, and I've seen the more circular-based designs floating around for awhile. I think Magicbysab's circular-based CHB shirt designs also predate the show design? Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I understand on a level that if they did base it off fandom designs, particularly if they're basing anything on widespread fanon or fandom-based concepts, it can be difficult to pin down credit or may even seen unnecessary. But if they're going to be doing that I feel like at least they could hire like, a fandom consultant of sorts? Instead of just ripping off from the fandom, hire someone from the community who produces that already so at least there's some recognition and acknowledgement of where it originated.
Heck, in some instances if you ask around in the fandom it's not hard to pinpoint who specifically popularized certain concepts! I could talk for ages about Cherryandsisters being a driving force behind photokinesis! Will, or Saberghatz with plague! Will (tbh between the two they spearheaded a ton of early Will/Solangelo fanon), and I swear Drksanctuary alone is behind like 50% of Alabaster fanon, etc etc etc. People in the fandom know these things! Heck, we know ReadRiordan company knows how to do that kind of thing! They commissioned Viria for the official art, and the UK Riordan newsletter reaches out to fans all the time to feature their work (with credit, they're one of the better ones)! Though in Rick's book tours he did showcase Viria's art (at least with credit) without asking before she got commissioned, and during the Tower of Nero book tours they actually straight up stole a solangelo edit from Pervysloth with completely zero credit (link is to my canon url readriordan parody blog).
I think it doesn't help as well that Rick and his editor allegedly use the fandom wiki in place of a series bible. The PJO wiki is notorious for putting inaccurate information or fanon onto pages at random and having no sources. (What I wouldn't give for the PJO wiki to have frequent book/page sources a la Warrior Cats wiki...) There are what, now almost 18 books in the main series alone? Of an extremely renowned best-selling series that's 20 years old and now being adapted for TV? And they STILL don't have a series bible? That's like, step 1 of writing a series. This kind of reliance of the fandom for resources and concepts definitely isn't new for them.
It just feels so bizarre as to what it says about how the ReadRiordan company views the fandom and the creatives within it. I understand that trying to figure out how to give credit to the concept of "CHB shirt design, but circular!" is difficult, if you even can find out who did that first or popularized it. But if you're going to rip things from fandom, at least find somebody to try and credit? Show that you put in even the tiniest amount of effort? And if you get it wrong and people know, they'll correct you and that's that! But ReadRiordan just keeps trying to actively obscure these kinds of things, even with their own media, not ripped from the fandom, which makes it feel all the worse when it gets pointed out. And a lot of the time the whole reason those concepts get popular is because they're filtered through big names in the fandom! The fandom is a community! We know these people! We can point to them and explain exactly what they popularized! Remember how Velinxi popularized long haired Piper with the heart-shaped flyaways? Goodness only knows how many fandom designs are heavily influenced by Viria and Minuiko and Burdge (and Indigonite and Fuocogo and Ikimaru and Thecottonproject and Joker-ace and Sixofclovers and Vikingmera and Saber and Cherry and and and-). If you are in the community this stuff is easy to find. But Rick and the ReadRiordan company clearly being ~5 years behind with fanon pretty obviously tells me that they're not in the community at all, and aren't bothering trying.

Tbh I'll be the first to admit that I really don't know much about The Odyssey or Odysseus beyond what I've read on tumblr and listened to songs abt
But I feel like an interaction between Odysseus and Percy Jackson would be EXTREMELY funny

Do you guys ever reread PJO or son of Neptune and realize how charismatic and sly and cunning and charming Nico was sometimes before Tartarus.
And then you read after Tartarus (mark of Athena and house of hades) and he’s so serious and mature and morose all the time.
And then in blood of Olympus we get a tiny hint of that coming back when he’s with Reyna but it’s barely there blink and you miss it it could easily be tacked off as Ricks own humor seeping into the character.
And then ToA he has way more of of that charismatic sly cunning funny back but it’s still not as present in him as it used to be before.
He never was the same again. Tartarus and the jar really did change him forever.
(Side note: I really want to skim through the series and find all the parts of Nico being a little shit before Tartarus and after Tartarus and put them all together into a master post and compare them but that’s gonna take me a while).

Headcanon based on something I just drew.
When Apollo is annoyed he rants, when he’s angry he yells, but when he’s truly furious, he’s completely silent.
Many a mortal have died to nothing more than the sound of an arrow being let loose. In his rage, Apollo deemed their lives, and their deaths, unworthy of his voice. No requiem for the wicked.

Your take on Tartarus and the poor saps who live there (the Danaïdes, Tantalus, etc.)?
Tartarus is like the huge basement of the underworld. And like a basement, you use it to dump a whole bunch of stuff to be forgotten.
From Cronos chained up for all eternity. The Danaïdes forever filling the vessel with no bottom. Sisyphus pushing the large boulder day and night. Otus and Ephialtes bounded by snakes. Tantalus, punished for feeding his own son to the gods.
I always picture it to be dark with only the pools of lava and precious minerals offering very little light. Screams of tortured souls down every corner….and maybe a limb or two.
It's like a funfair of torture! well, only for the underworld gods and Hades. Hades has an even special place in Tartarus for Pirithous…..

ok. ok there's something here for this fic I'm planning of young James Howlett, going to his father in tears because I think I like boys and Victor told me I'm gonna go to hell for it. And his father deciding in that moment that his son's happiness is more important than whatever religious or cultural beliefs he was raised on — he reassures Jamie that he's fine, it's not hell he has to worry about, it's other people. be quiet, be safe, and if you find a man who makes you happy, bring him home to meet me
Except.
Except when James finally comes out (to everyone, to his people, the entire country, the gods), he gets sent to the pits of Tartarus. Not for the fact that he loves a man, but for the fact that the man he loves happens to be divine.
