idk how the full pokemon tcg is, but now that i've got three consistent decks going on pocket i can say that the types here really don't feel like they have much identity. it's not fair to compare it to magic the gathering because the actual flow of combat is fundamentally quite different, being 1-on-1 and all, but playing metal feels the same as playing fighting feels the same as playing lightning, and the ai themed decks feel super similar too.
#the main ex cards feel particularly samey. so many (all?) have effectively the exact same attacks#oh wow a 2 energy 50 power and a 4 energy 150 that discards 2. you're so original#i wanna look at all the cards at once. there has to be a webpage with them#sighh i just wanna get my koga deck decent and see what stalling feels like in this game. need muks#my current decks are eelektross-helioptile / bisharp-pidgeot / marowak ex#the one deck i like conceptually (dragonite vaporeon jolteon) is basically inviable#and my one fav pokemon in the game is honestly worthless. rip porygon i'm sure you'll get evos soon#oh i'd also love to try 18 trainers but i'm not pulling a legendary bird anytime soon

every so often i enter mini-hyperfixation mode and spend like an hour or so trying to assign partner pokemon to my ocs before getting bored and/or frustrated and closing all the bulbapedia tabs i have inevitably opened, and i enter a sleeper state until something else awakens the hyperfixation and the cycle starts anew
#stuff and things#anyway Aja's partner pokemon is Ninetales#easy pick it's the fire fox#Weiss i had it narrowed down to a few#the only of which i can remember is Primarina#and my reasoning for that is it's a very high femme pokemon#but it's the final evo of a starter#who only have a 1/8 chance of being female#what i'm saying is Primarina is the drag queen pokemon so obvi i'd consider that for Weiss#it'd also be super effective against Ninetales which fits for Aja and Weiss' dynamic lol#but the colors don't fit#Weiss needs black gray white red purple#wait duh#Gothitelle of course#now i just need to figure out Dmitri#boy what the fuck are you#are you Bisharp#there are so many tags here#my bad i'm not quite out of the hyperfixation

Sorry for the paragraphs of tags but... I like pokemon.... smiles insanely
Drop your headcanons for MCSM partner Pokémon here!
Reblog or comment, do whatever you like! I want to see the variation of what people think characters’ partners should be. (This definitely isn’t because I’m considering doing a Pokémon Story Mode AU…)
Jesse - Pikachu (I know it’s basic) Olivia - Tinkaton Ivor - Malamar Gabriel - Charizard or Aegislash
#JESSE HAS TEPIG AS HIS PARTNER#literally reuben... determined firey piglet and also a starter! perfect for new beginnings and epic adventures#I always saw lukas with a luxio/eventually luxray bc 1. big kitty 2. lion pokemon and lukas was the leader of the ocelots and lions#typically have a pride leader and 3. luxray is MY favourite pokemon and I need SOMEONE to have one :3#I see axel with an alolan geodude—eventually a golem— and it knows explosion obv#olivia gets a grumpig specifically bc I love the idea of it being piggy pals with jesse's tepig. also bc it's a psychic type :3#PETRA IS A TOUGH ONE BC I HAVE SO MANY PARTNERS I CAN THINK OF FOR HER#but I've decided on garchomp bc of its strong history in the franchise#its colour palette matching petra's armour#it's part ground type and petra is known to spend a lot of time mining#and it's a freaking shark dragon. tell me that doesn't scream PETRA#infernape and bisharp were fair runner ups for her partner. i think she'd have smth fully evolved since she's been adventuring a lot longer#compared to the rest of the new order#soren has a little elgyem that helps him out with his research#I like to imagine beheeyem as the 'endermen' of the pokemon universe bc they're from another world and peak in a language we#don't understand.. and they can teleport! so I think it'd be silly if just a little pre evolution guy from the beheeyem came up to him#and soren immediately adopted it#someone said that ivor has a malamar and I wholeheartedly agree#gabriel has an aggron and I will NOT be taking criticism thank you. he raised it from an aron and they were the cutest ever#he gives it praise even when it loses battles and it's the most spoiled big baby ever#puppy named universe destroyer vibes#can and will kill you if given the command but pets are first priority#and gabriel routinely polishes its armour#MAGNUS AND ELLEGAARD OH BOY they're tough too. so many options.#decided on gothitelle for ellie bc 1. super strong psychic 2. alakazam is an option.. it does not fit the vibe for the redstonian balls ☝️#and hot take... but magnus with a Ferrothorn...#obv it knows explosion. but bullet seed? any spike attacks??? can you imagine how unstoppable this man would be if he snuck around by#hanging off of his Ferrothorn that walked across the ceiling before griefing his victims from above??????#I can't stop thinking about jt#that's old and new order. i have plenty more trust me but I'm out of tags. PLEASE ask me about my admins teams pls I've had them for so long

You mentioned a couple of times Bisharp and Gallade pair well, do you have any facts or pic on this crossbreed? :0
Yup! Here is one with a Bisharp father!
Pokemon Crossbreeds: Knight
Knight is the name for members of the Gardevoir line whose father's were members of the Bisharp line. The breed was named after their more armored and knight-like appearance. They've been bred by humans for a long time, as both Bisharp and Gardevoir have been by humans for centuries.
Ralts
Knight Ralts gain larger and sharper horns, a split-colored head that has a slightly metallic texture, and a mark on their chest that resembles a chest-plate. Due to the larger and sharper horn, these ralts are able to pick up on emotions easier, which can be overwhelming for them. These ralts are more defensive and aggressive than standard ralts.
Kirlia
Knight Kirlia no longer have flaps of skin resembling a skirt, instead, having fat wrap around their legs which look like pants. They have broader shoulders, sharper horns, and a darker stomach resembling a chestplate. It still follows the defensiveness and aggression of Bisharp, and they are often seen leading packs of Knight Ralts.
Gardevoir
My personal favorite of this line. Knight Gardevoir gain a sharp horn on their head, a green top, green gloves, and a bit longer hair. Knight Gardevoir have been loved for centuries for their mastery over battle and their more serious and knowing disposition. They lead groups of Knight Ralts and Kirlia. Some ancient kings in Galar had a Knight Gardevoir. Mega Knight Gardevoir gain long hair and longer ears, resembling Kingambit more than regular Knight Gardevoir.
Gallade
Knight Gallade gain the crest of Bisharp, border shoulders, extra blades on their arms, and larger hips. Not much changes behaviour wise, as Gallade are already aggressive and noble pokemon, but many battlers love this breed for their extra blades and extra defense. Mega Knight Gallade gain longer ears and a black cape, resembling the hair of Kingambit.
//My designs can be used by anyone if you credit me! Talking about designs under the cut
I had the idea for this crossbreed but I put it in the back of my mind bcuz there was always something new ig.
Ralts was pretty easy to design. It's hair already looks like a helmet, so I just made it look more like Pawniard's helmet. Was gonna leave the helmet primary colored, but then I went hack and gave it two color to match Pawniard's more.
Kirlia was more difficult bcuz it and Bisharp don't have much in common, so I instead just made it more serious looking and gave it the traits I could; like feet, hands, shoulders, and a chestplate.
I traced an old Gardevoir crossbreed I made bcuz I prefer the one I made over the canon one (for tracing at least. Also, its called Chantelaines Gardevoir!). But my main goal was to make it look a bit like those Warrior queens you see. For both Gardevoir and Gallade, I primarily used Bisharp as inspo because it felt right, but I did put Kingambit in there top (the sword mustache becoming long ears, the triangle shaped shoulders, and the markings on the shoulders).
I gave Mega Gardevoir longer hair to match Kingambit's. I also traced an older piece, which was traced from canon, but I just used it for the small edits I made when I made it.
Gallade was nice, and lowkey inspired by Roman Gladiators. Random fact, but did you know gladiators rarely ever killed? It was like wrestling back then, so it would be expensive to have them die, and extreme violence in Gladiator fights was frowned on. There were some cases where murder in gladiator fights were encouraged, but not as many as you'd think. Anyways! I was so happy to fix Gallade's hip wheel bcuz while Gallade may be one of my fav pokemon and I think the hip wheel is a furled up dress, I can still find it weird.
Not much changes with mega gallade, and I kept the OG color scheme. Though, the cap was hard to color since I kept swapping from blue to green to black. Eventually I decided on black to match with Kingambit's hair since it already didn't have a lot of Kingambit traits.

So, I've had this strange and, maybe, cool idea that I would like to share with you!
Reader, who made their way up to the Galar Championsip, they are known for their strange connection to Pokémon, and for never talking, or showing their face. People know very little about them, and rarely see them, but on one day, the finally day, the truth unfolds!
When they step onto the field, surrounded by cameras, they throw off their cloak only to show that all this time, the Pokémon Trainer was not in fact human, but also a Pokémon! Bisharp, to be exact.
The shock, the news! The unexpected twist!
Hope that you'll like it! Take your time, I can wait, writing is a very tiring progress✨
"Leon! How do you feel about the mystery challenger you endorsed being moments away from battling you?"
"Have they ever spoken a word to you, Leon?"
"Who do you think they could be? Someone outside this region? An old rival looking for revenge?"
"I haven't got a clue who they are just yet, but if I know one thing...it's that this battle is going to be amazing! I can just feel it!" The Galarian Champion grinned with pride, standing amidst a swarm of reporters who wanted to question him before he prepared for the final match.
At last, the day arrived.
One that many anticipated.
Because today Leon will be facing a particularly unique challenger:
You, somebody who mysteriously showed up in Galar one day and kept their identity hidden beneath a covert cloak. Nobody knew what you actually looked like, and it was even harder to know what you sounded like....as you've never spoken to anyone.
Not even to Leon, although you made your wishes to enter the gym challenge very clear when you approached him, handing him a card with a simple request:
Endorse Me --B
"B" was the only name he knew you by, and nothing else. But he understood that you probably didn't like talking too much, similar to Allister. So he obliged, permitting you to wear the cloak as you were rather insistent on doing so.
Who would have though you'd conquer the Championship by storm and were now minutes away from battling him for the title?
You've truly wowed the crowd as you defeated the gym leaders with flying colors. And all you ever did was point at them and let your Pokémon finish the job--all without uttering a single command.
You even took down Raihan's Gigantamaxed-Duraludon in just a single turn!
It's like you shared a psychic connection with them, although you've ducked out of the way of reporters and fanatics who were just obsessed with you, refusing to be swarmed.
Still, your aura of mystery, strong bonds, and intelligent Pokémon quickly became the talk of the town. And it made Leon all the more thrilled to battle you, hoping he'll get to learn more about you that way.
So when the news crew started getting word that you arrived in Wyndon for the final match, he took that as his cue to get ready.
He was so excited, he almost got lost on his way to the locker room.
.........
Stepping out onto the field, you were immediately greeted by cameras hovering on all sides, mounted by Aegislash.
Every angle was determined to capture you in your star moment...as you were about to battle Galar's current champion.
But even with all of this attention on you, you didn't wave or acknowledge the cameras one bit. Your focus was only on the purple-haired man who was waiting for you in the center.
For a second or two, Leon was thrown-off by the uproarious cheers coming from the crowd after you appeared. Usually he was being rooted for the most, although it's clear that people were psyched to see you battle him.
You've been one of Galar's greatest mysteries since your arrival, and still nobody knew who you were or how you became so strong.
Stopping in front of him, you looked into his eyes, only giving a small nod of acknowledgement.
"Well this is it, B. The moment everyone's been waiting for." He grinned. "Are you ready for.......oh, guess they are.." His face fell flat as you simply turned and headed back to your position on the field.
Now he was just dying to find out who you truly are.
Who really stood under that cloak?
For now, though, all that mattered was this battle that would determine if he'd successfully defend his title as Champion...or if you were somehow going to come out on top.
Standing back at his position, Leon patted both side of his face, taking a few deep breaths. Then he tossed his heavy cape to the wind, which was hastily collected by a staff member before he struck his signature pose for all to see.
The crowd's cheers have grown tenfold, chanting his name as they mimicked the iconic gesture.
You grunted in interest, impressed how that simple action got everyone so riled up and excited. And it made you wonder...
Looking to your cloak, you gripped it with metal fingers that were barely visible to the cameras. For a moment or two you stood there debating, wondering if....
No.
You're done dodging people and hiding from the public eye.
You've kept up this mystery long enough.
It's about time everyone here knew who you really were.
"What's this? Is our mystery challenger about to reveal their identity??" An announcer cried out. "It's the moment we've all been waiting for, ladies and gentlemen!!!"
With another grunt, you finally threw off your cloak, letting it fall to the ground beside you, eyes closed as you anticipated everybody's judgement.
Most of the crowd descended into silence; even Leon, Hop, and the other gym leaders couldn't believe what they were seeing right before their very eyes.
After all this time, they thought they were battling a strong human Pokémon Trainer.
But no.
Instead it was a Pokémon itself.
"What a twist! I can't believe it! It seems that our mysterious competitor is none other than the Pokémon Bisharp! Somehow it has risen through the ranks of the championship without the assistance of a trainer! It's incredible! This has NEVER happened in the history of Pokémon battling!!"
Soon the crowd went WILD.
Many wondered how it was even legal for a Pokémon to enter a human competition; a few others--especially those watching from home--were convinced you were just a person in a Bisharp costume.
But the cameras surrounding you didn't lie.
You were a real Bisharp, and you were determined to become the first ever Pokémon to win a championship.
"Shar.." With a smirk, you raised your hands up to the cameras, giving them a small wave. You were relieved that your secret was finally out; it gave you a massive confidence boost after seeing how all the humans reacted.
As you then sharpened your bladed arms and readied your first pokeball, you gazed at Leon from across the way. His jaw was dropped in shock, unable to believe who he was battling.
It was quite amusing to you.
Of course, many knew Bisharps were strategic commanders of Pawniards....but nobody would have guessed they'd be intelligent enough to lead a competitive team of different Pokémon outside their lineage.
Well, you're the shining example that it was possible.
After sending out your Pokémon, you huffed, wondering when your opponent was going to snap out of it and start taking this battle seriously.
But he quickly realized you were waiting, and seemed flustered.
"Sorry. I just...wow....I can't believe you were.....ah, what does it matter?" Shaking his head, he grinned as he finally sent out his first Pokémon, ready to defend his title. "We're gonna have a champion time regardless. So give me everything you got, Bisharp!"

Chapter 3 summary
After Destino obtained their new illusion abilities from Mistress Mirage, the went to go and pack all of their belongings. Stacking suitcases incredibly high filled with unnecessary items, Destino tells the Pokémon following them around to carry their belongings. Some agree to, some disagree. Some find out some of the cases are filled with rocks. Of course Destino would fill some with rocks to mess with others.
During this time, a Giratina by the name of Galadriel tries to give Destino a real talk about their behaviour. It leads to Destino claiming she was flirting and she eats them. After being spat out, Felix gives them a talk about choosing who to insult because he doesn’t want to see them dead. Destino says fine but we know damn well they’re not going to take this advice on board. Destino goes to have a shower.
Felix heads down into the dungeons to see Hope and find out more information about her. Hope asks where Destino is because they took an awfully long time with trying to find the tunnel. Felix says they’re showering. Hope can’t believe that Destino is deciding to shower right about now when there’s the imminent arrival of their parents.
After almost shitting themselves with the encounter of a Lunala telling the pair that Destino should stay as far away from Galadriel as possible, they agree to try not to let Destino insult another legendary again. Felix mentions he has had an encounter with Yveltal. Hope talks about a Pokémon named the Guardian who was the one that told her to fetch Destino. She says the Guardian has saved Arkaedia before by being able to tell the right Pokémon when something is going to happen. Hope and Felix talk about legendary and mythical Pokémon, such as Jirachi, and how terrifying they can be. She says many legendary Pokémon have caused great destruction on the surface. Hope asks Felix to tell her about the shower cream incident. Felix decides to tell her about an equally embarrassing moment with Destino.
Destino finishes with their shower, talking to some zany Pokémon whilst they leave the shower room. A magic anon uses their magic to give Destino a lion’s cut. They absolutely hate it. After everyone ridicules them for their new style, Destino’s fur comes back and they head off to their room. They get incredibly angry at the fact that nobody respects them and consider the angle of just straight up killing everyone. However, they know they could never do that, as they’re not like their parents, and cool their emotions, appearing in control of the situation.
Destino heads down to see Felix and Hope only to find the pair talking about them. Destino is definitely upset by this, claiming Felix has betrayed them. Felix says he was trying to gather information and got carried away and Destino calls bullshit. They threaten Felix to not do that again. Destino says Hope would be a shit friend and Felix jokes a little. Hope breaks the bars of the cell because Destino claims she would be too weak to do so.
The gang decide it’s time to head up. Destino shows off their illusion trick of transforming into a leafeon and Felix demonstrates his ghost powers by phasing into one of the cell bars and exiting. Hope is impressed. Just as they’re about to leave the dungeon, the two bisharps, Roy and Herschel, stand in their way. One of Roy’s eyes is missing and a red, claw-like mark is seen on Herschel’s. Destino decides to sweet talk their way through the bisharps, only to be told to shut up by Herschel as he has something to say to the absol. Herschel tells Destino that he is incredibly proud of Destino but they also have a lot to work on. He says he fully believes they can save the world and perhaps convince the surface dwellers that dark types aren’t as bad as what they think. Destino says thank you.
Destino says they’ll miss both the bisharps and tells Felix and Hope not to expect any hugs when they’re upon the surface. They mention their luggage and Hope tells them they cannot bring 35 bags to the surface. After joking about the fact that those poor Pokémon have had to carry all of their belongings and now Hope is going to have to break the news that they were not needed, Destino asks if they can bring their black glasses as they’ve heard of something called the sun and would want to protect themselves from it. Hope says that’s fine.
Destino tries to put the blame on Hope for the luggage situation. It doesn’t work. Everyone is pissed at the luggage situation. Herschel is firm with everyone about his and his brother’s job working for Queen Karma and King Nox, saying working for them isn’t that bad and they appreciate what the King and Queen have to go through in order to make the kingdom successful. He also says they’re staying for Destino’s sake too.
Hope is wandering around, looking for her expert belt, an incredibly important item. Someone insults the Guardian, to which Hope gets pissed as Hope trusts her completely. Destino asks Hope how their parents are able to travel to Terrestria without being caught. She talks about a secret tunnel that they use.
Singularity does a little manipulation and sends Destino and Felix to the gala to have some fun and wacky adventures, like getting absolutely wasted and punched. Crushes and conversations ensue until Singularity heads down to pick the both of them back up. Looks like his dad didn’t like that. Whoops. After turning them back from being human and Felix fixing the alcohol poisoning, Singularity sends the pair back to where they were with a partial wipe of their memories. This leaves their memories foggy of the event. However, the glitching begins.
Hope is able to get her expert belt back and the gang head to the Queen and King’s room to head to the tunnel. They hear the voices of the rulers of the Underdark from down the tunnel and decide to hide. This confirms to Destino that their parents know about the surface. After their parents leave, the gang heads up the tunnel, with Destino complaining for the entire journey. Destino is clearly hiding how they’re feeling about having to leave their entire world behind and Hope wonders who the other Pokémon in the prophecy are, considering they’ll have to spend more time with Destino. Destino mentions how they’re excited to see the stars. Some more shenanigans ensues and Felix possesses Destino’s to stop them from chucking a bag of berries at Snow.
The gang emerge from the tunnel and see light. Felix says it’s incredibly bright and Destino uses their sunglasses to protect their beautiful eyes. Felix goes inside of the sunglasses, which Destino doesn’t like. Destino sees the sunset for the first time in their life and is in awe by it. No words for this beautiful moment.
They see Terrestria and Destino says it’s ridiculously huge. Destino feels the need to nap and heads towards the little hut Hope had mentioned before. Felix goes to talk to Hope to gather more information. Destino speaks with a couple more Pokémon, telling them about how they figured out that they were non-binary. A few more conversations happen and Destino tells everyone to fuck off to let them sleep.
Felix talks about himself to Hope and how he got into the ghost therapist thing. He sees a spirit behind Hope but doesn’t talk about it. Felix and Hope talk about things, Felix going more into his job and Hope talking about the royal families of other Kingdoms. Hope talks about how she’s met with Prince Kader and Princess Clover from Whimsain and says her dad hasn’t said anything about King Regis and Queen Melody for a while. She speaks about not seeing Prince Oswell all that much but her dad speaking often with his dads and says the royal family of Naaturo has over 30 children, with one called Mira being the oldest. Sometimes Hope’s dad speak with Queen Pollen of Naaturo.
The Guardian is asked about and Hope talks about how she spoke to her in her dreams about the prophecy. She says the Guardian has always had an interest in myths and legends, telling stories about them to Hope. The Guardian also has an assistant called Set who she raised herself. She has abilities that help her to know about disasters before anyone does.
When asked about the stone and a potential link to mega evolution, Hope says she’s not aware of what that is but knows the Guardian sometimes looks quite sadly at the stone. It is mentioned that the Ancestral Guardian (mew) of this world has 3 eyes and 2 tails. Hope says that she has to celebrate as many holidays for other Pokémon as possible because her dad said it was a good idea and says that she doesn’t get many breaks, if any, as the Princess of Terrestria. Felix says that ain’t healthy and she shrugs it off. She mentions she has not told her dad about where she’s gone to. Hope talks a little about her disability and how it qused to affect her in lots of ways. However, she’s been able to find ways to overcome some of her struggles with the help of her friends and family.
Destino has another prophecy dream, this time with added details. They wake up and overhear Felix and Hope talking. The pair are talking about how Felix met Destino and how they became friends. Hope says she finds them to be useless and Felix stands up for his friend. Felix lets some things slip, implying he would be interested in a relationship with Destino. Destino is kinda pissed that Felix would say this to Hope first before them and bursts out of the hut, acting like they didn’t listen to the conversation that was just had. The gang head to Terrestria.
Sleepover shenanigans ensue because Singularity wants to go on a date. He sends Destino to the sleepover. Destino is joined by a darkrai. Makeovers and conversations happen and more prophecy dreams happen. Destino heads back to their world but doesn’t remember too much from the sleepover. Similar feelings to what happened before when they left the gala.
When they all arrive, comments are made on the size of the castle. The head into the castle, with Destino saying that Felix and them were going to have a conversation about what Felix had been saying. They all head directly to King Flint, who is worried about where his daughter has been. Destino makes a dramatic entrance and King Flint is quite excited to meet Destino. Flint talks about Hope and how proud he is of her, how he loves taking a joke and a bit on his small size. The mention of weapons comes into play and Flint talks about the fact that his dad used to collect weapons, which are replicas used in the Great War. Talks about trade deals happens and a map of Arkaedia is shown.
After finishing up the conversations, Flint sends Destino, Felix and the rest of the Pokémon that joined them off and has a conversation with Hope. He mentions how he’s disappointed in her because she didn’t tell him where she had gone. She tries to justify it with saying how urgent it was and he tells her how she’s let the entire kingdom down because of her actions and that the Guardian could have sent someone else to deal with this. Hope is quite sad by this, feeling she has let everyone down.
Hope checks on Destino and Felix. Destino is complaining about the quantity of pillows the room has and Hope cannot deal with them with the state she’s in. She heads off and Felix notices how she seemed not herself. Destino goes on a mission to steal as many items as possible and convinces Felix to join them. After their room raid, Felix plays a board game with himself and Destino finds an interesting-looking book with a mewtwo on the front cover. They read it and it shows mew and mewtwo having a conversation about them murdering the scientists that did something to the both of them. Destino finds it boring and then asks to have a conversation with Felix.
The two chat about the stars and how Destino finds it unfair that their citizens have to suffer in the Underdark and now have the power to do anything about it. They also talk about the fact that their family knows about the tunnel to the surface and haven’t done anything to let the residents of the Underdark know about it. Destino get incredibly frustrated about how the surface Pokémon know about their struggles and do nothing and that they are all just as guilty as one another. Felix agrees which prompts Destino to ask why Felix is busy telling Hope personal information. Felix apologises and Destino says that they don’t want Felix to speak about them to Hope ever again. Destino then asks how long Felix has wanted to be in a relationship with them for.
Felix says it was since the evolution party which happened four years ago because of how nice Destino was. Felix remembers Destino kissing him but doesn’t not tell Destino that’s what happened. Destino says they got drunk during the event so it couldn’t have been that special. Felix says Destino has a lot of qualities that he looks for in a romantic partner. Felix asks if Destino would be interested in a relationship and Destino says not yet because they don’t know if they’re interested in Felix in that way. Destino also says, because of their relationship with Mistress Mirage, they have to be careful about who they’re in a relationship with. They say unless Felix starts being more honest with them, they can’t consider the possibility of a relationship. Felix promises to be more honest in the future. They both head to sleep, Destino still having prophecy dreams and Felix thinking about the conversation.
Hope is asleep and has a conversation with the Guardian. The Guardian asks Hope how she’s been and she mentions her conversation with her dad and how she’ll be thankful to get rid of Destino. The Guardian says she’ll need to spend longer with Destino because she is a part of the prophecy. Hope doesn’t believe it at first but knows that if the Guardian says it, it must be true. The guardian tells Hope that she has full confidence in her and believes she has the qualities to make a good chosen one. The Guardian asks Hope to train Destino before going to find the rest of the chosen and she’ll only have a maximum of three days to train them. Hope agrees to do it. Hope asks how she’ll know who the rest of the chosen for the prophecy are. The Guardian says Destino will gain an ability relating to their natural disaster abilities that’ll tell them who is in the prophecy and Hope asks why she can’t just tell them. The Guardian says the ability she has takes a lot of energy and she doesn’t know who the other members of the prophecy are. The conversation ends.
The Guardian holds a red orb with Hope inside. Set, her Lucario assistant, questions why she lied about not knowing who the other prophecy members are. She says she doesn’t wish to interfere any longer in fear of a disaster happening if she does. The Guardian is also aware of other timelines because another Pokémon has told her about them.

I gave the BG3 origin characters Pokémon teams and put way too much thought into it, so I thought I'd share my nerdish thoughts. Maybe I'll do non-origin characters at some point, but eh, we'll see.
Oh, and there's some spoilers for the character stories, so read at your own risk.
(Teams under the cut!)
Lae'zel
(I couldn't not use this gif, sorry girlie)
Kommo-o
"When it spots enemies, it threatens them by jingling the scales on its tail. Weak opponents will crack and flee in panic." (Pokémon Sun)
An intimidating, armored warrior, just like Lae! Its shiny also reminds me of her, haha.
Zangoose
"It has feuded with SEVIPER for many generations. Its sharp claws are its biggest weapons." (Pokémon Diamond & Pokémon Pearl)
Just like the Githyanki's fued with Mindflayers, it has a big issue with Seviper's mere existence. They also give the same attitude vibes.
Scizor
"SCIZOR has a body with the hardness of steel. It is not easily fazed by ordinary sorts of attacks. This POKéMON flaps its wings to regulate its body temperature." (Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire)
They're both well-armored! It is,, also just her vibe.
Bisharp
This pitiless Pokémon commands a group of Pawniard to hound prey into immobility. It then moves in to finish the prey off." (Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2)
A hardened warrior, like the rest of the team. It not only plays into the fact that she likes to take charge, but I don't think she'd ever evolve it into Kingambit due to her whole awakening with Vlaakith and learning about the prince in the prism, lmao. She's content with Bisharp.
Falinks
"The six of them work together as one Pokémon. Teamwork is also their battle strategy, and they constantly change their formation as they fight." (Pokémon Shield)
The ultimate unit. She doesn't care if they're little guys, they're forces of nature! Not to be trifled with!
Charizard
"CHARIZARD flies around the sky in search of powerful opponents. It breathes fire of such great heat that it melts anything. However, it never turns its fiery breath on any opponent weaker than itself." (Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire)
Even if she doesn't agree to become Vlaakith's chosen, she seems like the type to get a dragon herself just to spite Vlaakith.
☆
Shadowheart
(Oh my beloved Shart)
Umbreon
"When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it gains a mysterious power." (Pokémon Platinum)
It is so she coded. She worships the moon/darkness, no matter what path you go down with her, so Umbreon is perfect!
Absol
"Although it’s said to bring disaster, in actuality, this Pokémon possesses a calm disposition and warns people of any crises that loom." (Pokémon Moon)
Another dark, kind-of moon-esk vibe Pokémon. They also have similar haircuts!
Trevenant
"Trevenant is very kind to Pokémon living in the forest. It doesn't even care if these Pokémon take up residence in the greenery on its head." (Pokémon Violet)
A Pokémon I just think she'd like. I like to think it'd try to protect her from wolves in the forest, but when she came into contact with Sharr for the first time it was only a Phantump.
Hatterene
"This Pokémon can read the emotions of creatures over 30 miles away. The minute it senses hostility, it goes on the attack." (Pokémon Sword, G-Max form)
I think it's a really funny image. Shadowheart wouldn't mind watching with a wine glass in-hand as her Hatterene beats the shit out of someone that won't leave her alone. Its interaction potiental with Astarion is peak.
Mawile
"It chomps with its gaping mouth. Its huge jaws are actually steel horns that have been transformed." (Pokémon HeartGold & Pokémon SoulSilver)
Has her vibes. Good for both versions of her. Has her ponytail (kind of). Makes sense to me!
Zoroark
"Each has the ability to fool a large group of people simultaneously. They protect their lair with illusory scenery." (Pokémon White)
While kind of leaning toward Sharr, it works for Selune as well! Shadowheart is also naturally a Trickster Domain Cleric, so a Pokémon known for tricks is great!
☆
Astarion
(My personal favorite character. I love him. He's soggy.)
Hisuian Zoroark
"With its disheveled white fur, it looks like an embodiment of death. Heedless of its own safety, Zoroark attacks its nemeses with a bitter energy so intense, it lacerates Zoroark’s own body." (Pokémon Legends Arceus)
Its a very Astarion Pokémon. It not only has wonderful hair, just like him, the entry above sounds a bit too similar to the start of the Cazador fight... heh.
Gliscor
"It dances silently through the sky. When it approaches prey, it can land a critical hit in an instant." (Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2)
Of course, it's vampire coded, and it also just has Astarion's smug, rogueish vibes.
Thievul
"It secretly marks potential targets with a scent. By following the scent, it stalks its targets and steals from them when they least expect it." (Pokémon Sword)
Astarion is a fancy man! Former magistrate! Thievul fits the high-class vibe and, of course, the thief aesthetic.
Froslass
"A Pokémon inhabited by the soul of a woman who died bearing a grudge in the snowy mountains. Legends of Froslass placing deathly curses on misbehaving men send shivers down my spine." (Pokémon Legends Arceus)
I think it'd be funny, if this Pokémon saw Astarion and related. Like. It feels empathy for this poor mf and just kinda sticks around. It REALLY wants to kill Cazador, but doesn't for Astarion's sake. It's cute.
Crobat
"The transformation of its legs into wings made it better at flying, but more clumsy at walking." (Pokémon Platinum)
Ugh the thought of Astarion befriending a Zubat in Cazador's palace and getting it to evolve via friendship is so nice. Also another vampire-esk mon.
Liepard
"Their beautiful form comes from the muscles they have developed. They run silently in the night." (Pokémon Black 2 & Pokèmon White 2)
It's him. As a purple and yellow cat. What do you want me to say.
☆
Gale
(My favorite boot-eater)
Alakazam
"While it has strong psychic abilities and high intelligence, an ALAKAZAM's muscles are very weak. It uses psychic power to move its body." (Pokémon Emerald)
Okay, Mr. 45 Defense 135 Special Attack. The og wizard Pokémon. Of course Gale has one.
Meowscarada
"This Pokémon uses the reflective fur lining its cape to camouflage the stem of its flower, creating the illusion that the flower is floating." (Pokémon Scarlet)
While, yes, it's a Magician, not a Wizard, I still think it works. Gale has a sassier side, which I thoroughly enjoy, and it reminds me of Tara in a weird way.
Delphox
"Using psychic power, it generates a fiery vortex of 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit, incinerating foes swept into this whirl of flame." (Pokémon Y)
Literally a wizard. Gale would love a little Fennakin.
...also, uh, Fireball.
Ditto
"With its astonishing capacity for metamorphosis, it can get along with anything. It does not get along well with its fellow Ditto." (Pokémon Moon)
Gale loves his duplicates: no need for spell slots if you have a Ditto!
...unless he needs Ditto to speak, of course, but Ditto can probably write instead!
Meowstic (Male)
"When in danger, it raises its ears and releases enough psychic power to grind a 10-ton truck into dust."
Another lovely Psychic type! It's also cat-shaped so that's a bonus for Gale. Simply a little guy.
Chandelure
"This Pokémon haunts dilapidated mansions. It sways its arms to hypnotize opponents with the ominous dancing of its flames." (Pokémon Sword)
I wanted a magic item reference, and I think he'd think it's cool! There's quite a few myths surrounding it.
☆
Wyll
(My first romance. He has a special lil place in my heart.)
Gallade
"A master of courtesy and swordsmanship, it fights using extending swords on its elbows." (Pokémon Diamond & Pokémon Pearl)
THE BLADE OF FRONTIERS—
Aegislash
"Apparently, it can detect innate qualities of leadership. According to legend, whoever it recognizes is destined to become king." (Pokémon Y)
THE BLADE OF FRONTIERS PART 2—
Oh, and I also think he got his from his father.
Corviknight
"This Pokémon reigns supreme in the skies of the Galar region. The black luster of its steel body could drive terror into the heart of any foe." (Pokémon Sword)
Haha. Ravengard. Get it.
It's also another knight aesthetic. Yippee.
Sirfetch'd
"Only Farfetch'd that have survived many battles can attain this evolution. When this Pokémon's leek withers, it will retire from combat." (Pokémon Sword)
Oh, another knight! What do you know.
...Blade of Frontiers part 3.
Lucario
"Not only does it perceive auras, but it has also gained the power to control them. It employs them in battle." (Pokémon Sun)
It's very him coded. I also really like the jokes where people compare him to a puppy. Lucario is a bipedal puppy.
The thought of a younger Wyll with a Riolu also brings me joy.
Ceruledge
"The fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal." (Pokémon Scarlet)
Ah, finally. The Warlock pact Pokémon. It really fits him after getting his pact, imo. I like to think Mizora didn't give him a chance to evolve it into Armarouge instead, which upset Wyll at first, but he gets attached to Ceruledge. It's still his, after all.
☆
Karlach
(My favorite female character! She brings me such joy)
Emboar
"It can throw a fire punch by setting its fists on fire with its fiery chin. It cares deeply about its friends." (Pokémon Black)
She'd love this fucker, especially as a Tepig! They're both bulky as shit and deserve the world.
Haxorus
"While usually kindhearted, it can be terrifying if angered. Tusks that can slice through steel beams are how Haxorus deals with its adversaries." (Pokémon Shield)
Haha big axe. Haxorus is just very Barbarian coded.
...Also Karlach with an Axew <3.
Tinkaton
"The hammer tops 220 pounds, yet it gets swung around easily by Tinkaton as it steals whatever it pleases and carries its plunder back home." (Pokémon Violet)
Another big-weapon Pokémon, but I think she'd also just think it's silly.
Imagine Wyll meeting her with this little menace, since he has a Corviknight.
(Yes, I might've done that on purpose)
Arcanine
"Arcanine is known for its high speed. It is said to be capable of running over 6,200 miles in a single day and night. The fire that blazes wildly within this Pokémon's body is its source of power." (Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire)
Loyal fire puppy. Essentially Karlach.
Bewear
"This Pokémon has the habit of hugging its companions. Many Trainers have left this world after their spines were squashed by its hug." (Pokémon Moon)
THEY CAN TAKE EACHOTHER'S BACKBREAKING HUGS. THEY DESERVE EACHOTHER.
I also just really had a fun time running Bear-Rage Barbarian Karlach.
Darmanitan
"Its internal fire burns at 2,500° F, making enough power that it can destroy a dump truck with one punch." (Pokémon Black)
A very Karlach mon, in my opinion. She appreciates how angry it can be. She is also quite angry.

INTRO——-
While everyone is speculating on what the starters will be in legends ZA I am speculating that we will get a third charcadet evolution. As crazy as it sounds, please hear me out.
Also! This is speculation. This isn’t a leak or anything, this is just a fan separating on a PKMN i really like. If I get this wrong don’t come after me please.
THEME———
Koraidon is red and represents the past, Miraidon is purple and represents the future. Cyclizar is green and represents the present.
Armarouge has red and represents the future, Ceruledge has purple and represents the past. Where’s the green knight that represents the present? It might be in Kalos.
The focus of Legends ZA is Zygarde, who just so happens to be green.
ZA might have some themes about the past and future, and since the knights represent the opposite theme of their games, a knight that represents the present in a game about the past and future, just makes sense to me.
France, the country Kalos is based on, had numerous famous knights in its history. It wouldn’t be far-fetched for another Charcadet evolution to appear in the region. Kalos and Paldea are also connected, meaning that it’s also not unlikely for Charcadet to be found there.
In X and Y the Royal Family has a castle we can go in, there’s a lot of knight-like PKMN statues around the castle that being Pawniards and bisharps. (but not gallade because gamefreak regretted making gallade)
In castle, we see these two paintings. Tying us back to the past and future as well as the knight thing going on. Both Armarouge and Ceruledge represent the past and future as well as being very “knight-like” PKMN. I feel like it’s a possibility they could be in the game, as well tying us back to legends ZA possibly taking back in the past and further.
COMBAT STYLE———
Somebody on twitter pointed this out
The third missing combat arm is cavalry, which is riding on horseback.
French knights were known for their horse riding; many writings, paintings, and statues portrayed French knights on a horse or with a horse. French knights were called chevaliers, which translates into “horseman”.
Jousting, a competitive sport practiced by knights on horseback, originated in France. Each knight attempts to knock their opponent off their horse with a long lance.
This third evolution might be based on jousting, which is still played to this day despite its medieval origins. A lance would be a perfect mix of it being far away from the opponent but close enough to the opposite. A middle ground from Armarouge’s far distance attacks and Ceruledge’s close combat.
This also could tie us back to the third evo representing the present because jousting is still played to this day.
While jousting doesn’t require a horse to be played, the armor on the third evo might have some horse elements to it to emphasize the cavalry, and since mega evolution is coming back what’s not to say they’ll make its mega evolution a centaur for this third evo. *shivers*
SHAPE LANGUAGE——————-
Armarouge and ceruledge are both perfect examples of shape language in character design.
Armaoruge is rounder in appearance due to its Pauldrons, it also has rounder eyes, hands, and a brighter color palette. Its armor is smooth and overall has a nicer, friendlier appearance. A Pokemon who would probably hug you..
Ceruledge on the other hand is a menace to society. Its armor and body is full of pointed edges, from its chest, its chin, helmet, ears, eyes, boots and obviously its swords. It has a darker color palette which gives it a menacing appearance. If you were to see this Pokemon in the wild you are probably going to die. Definitely not as huggable as Armarouge.
Armarouge used a lot of circles and rounder shapes for its design, making it seem friendlier and approachable, while Ceruledge uses a lot of edges for it’s design to seem more intimidating. This third charcadet evolution would use squares for its design making it seem strong and reliable.
In character design there are usually 3 shapes you should use when designing a character. Circles, squares and triangles. It’s interesting you see Armarouge uses circles and ceruledge uses triangles. but not having the third one that uses squares.
In character design squares are seen as bold, sturdy and strong. In jousting you sorta have to be sturdy when riding on your horse.
TYPING—————
What could this third knight typing be?
Armarouge and Ceruledge’s typings seem to relate if they are in the past or future.
For example Armarouge is a psychic type based on the future. Psychic types pkmn are known for looking into the future, for example gardevoir, delphox and Xatu. What's not to say Armarouge could do the same thing.
Armarouge’s armor also reflects that being more “technologically advanced” and having less armor, which throughout the years armor has been used less and less since guns were invented.
Ceruledge is based on the past and it's typing reflects that as well. Being a ghost type, ghosts are known for being stuck in the past and being vengeful, spiteful of what happened. It also uses more traditional weapons and has more armor, like on its helmet, boots and arms.
My idea for what this third knight typing might be is either steel or flying type. (Fighting type could work because of typing stuff with psychic and ghost.)
Steel could represent the present because we are in the Iron Age. Steel is strong and sturdy, tying back into the square shape language and the sturdiness required for jousting. Green is also not an outlandish color for a steel type, as we have seen a few examples already. Celesteela, the Brozor line, and Copperajah are all examples. Green calls to mind tarnished metal, which could play into the “old but still standing” theme of jousting.
For flying type air and wind associated with speed and the color green. (The reason why wind is associated with green is because of grass and trees being blown by them) Horses in media are usually portray with their mains flowing in the wind and are also really fast. If this third evo is going to be more “horse like” *shivers* as well as it being more speed based I think flying type could work. It also work to represent the present because flying is usually portrayed as “being in the moment” like skydiving or a character in media trying/learning to fly.
ISN’T IT TOO SOON FOR A THIRD EVOLUTION?
While I would agree with you, I would like Armarouge and ceruledge to have a bit more time in the spotlight. It seems that Gamefreak has been making new evolutions since gen 8 with their newer Pokemon, for example Applin, Duraludon and Blood Moon Ursaluna.
Blood moon Ursaluna literally having another form RIGHT AFTER legends arceus.
The idea of a third charcadet evo being “too soon” is out of the question. Gamefreak also seems to make new forms for PKMN that need it or PKMN that was *extremely* like zorua, sneasel etc. The charcadet line is a very popular PKMN, I mean there’s a reason why both Armarouge and ceruledge were the first paldean to be revealed. *ceruledge even had a Pokemon day to itself*
Conclusion
While this is just pure speculation and I could be totally wrong and we never ever get a third evo, I just think we going back to Kalos and the whole green thing and the possibility of the game being based on the past and future just seems like a perfect time to make a third evo that could represent the present. Not doing so just seems like a missed opportunity, at least to me. With Paldea and Kalos being so close to eachother I feel like it’s a possibility.
TOO LONG DIDN’T READ YAAAWWN
We might get a third charcadet evo in legends ZA, the reason why I think this is because of the box legendaries in scarlet and violet as well as cyclizar each represent the past, future and present. I think this third knight will represent the present as well being green much like cyclizar. It will also be green because of legends ZA being green. Since we are going in Kalos again I think making a evo based on a French knight or a French sport just makes sense to me and would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t do that.

what pokemon do you think law or the other heart pirates would have?
i think ive seen someone give law alolan marrowak b4 which is cool but other then that idk what hed have. maybe sneasel?? no clue
excellent question, thank you so so much for the ask!!
those two are awesome choices, i can totally see them working out! they definitely have the vibes for sure
gonna keep alllll my rambling below the cut here because i love letting my autisms collide like this /silly (also because it is quite long, lmao) i definitely have thoughts... many thoughts...
whenever i think of pokemon teams for this au thing, i always try to keep regions and types in mind. with the main heart pirates, i usually lean towards picking ice types or other similar vibes that tie into the minion/swallow island area specifically (or just the north blue in general.) but law is an overall dark type trainer for sure.
umbreon has the vibes, and has the moves!!! mean look, last resort, moonlight, baton pass, guard swap, and more remind me of law. also him as a child with an eevee is cute to me, i won't lie...
i think law getting an absol while he's young would be especially fun... considering y'know... everything. (namely flevance. or even before meeting the donquixote family maybe?) the whole doom bringer/appearing before disasters... it works. i love this concept. also yayyy edgy pkmn, can't go wrong with that lmao
i think any healing, teleporting, or sword/blade themed pkmn are also worth considering. tons to choose from!!! i also think a whismur or mime jr passed down from corazon would be adorable, specifically for the soundproof ability. huge fan of this idea...
i wanna say bisharp is also an option, for sword reasons. but also because bisharp is my fave pkmn and law is my favorite op character, so... i'm very biased. i think swords dance + (night) slash would be good for moves. plenty of other fun ones too!
for penguin, there's definitely all the penguin pkmn to choose from (eiscue, delibird, the piplup line, iron bundle) gotta keep that theme LOL
this was a blast to write about!!! once again, thank you!!
maybe shachi with a wailmer...? cetoddle/cetitan would be super cool actually!!! i rly like that one, sticking with that for sure
i could see penguin and shachi with more water types as well! i would have to think on it more.
lots of options for bepo... not sure what to choose though. plenty of ice types could work, and i think fighting types would also suit him. galarian darumaka/darmanitan and crabominable perhaps...? could go with the bear pkmn too lolll
#asks#one piece#pokemon#trafalgar law#heart pirates#one piece pokemon au#also if anyone else has any more op pkmn au asks lemme know! love talking abt it!!! definitely have ideas for most of the straw hats

Everything You Ever Wondered About Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit Head Blades
The first thing you may be asking is how the head blade even originated. Pawniard’s evolutionary line is most closely related to crustacean Pokémon (a topic for another post), so their head blades are likely homologous with a structure that projects from the heads of others like Crawdaunt, known as a rostrum. While the crustacean rostrum is thought to help protect the eyes, it has been modified into an offensive weapon among Pawniard and its evolutions.
A Bisharp’s head blade is also seen as an important indicator of fitness, defined as the ability to both survive and reproduce. Pawniard are too young to breed, and lack the gold pigmentation of their evolutions’ head blades that may be a sign of sexual maturity.
As with all organisms, any traits that are meant to be adaptive are not without costs. A Bisharp having a dent in its head blade is seen as dishonorable, which means that it will be forced into retirement on its own without groups of Pawniard or opportunities to breed with other Bisharp. This commonly happens to older Bisharp that are heavily scarred and whose blades do not stay in good condition. Additionally, Bisharp keep the head blades of some defeated opponents as a sort of trophy, the Leader’s Crest that is.
Bisharp’s rarely achieved second evolution Kingambit has a significantly enlarged head blade, granting it the epithet of Big Blade Pokémon, which appears to have been selected both for show and raw attack power. Kingambit have a reproductive advantage because Bisharp of the opposite gender show a preference to breed with them, and a female Kingambit produces approximately twice as many Pawniard eggs as a female Bisharp.
However, Kingambit are still far from “perfection”. They have lost Bisharp’s mobility at running and jumping, and can only get around by floating on their hair throne. Kingambit have also lost all other functional blades, most notably the retractable pair on the arms of both Pawniard and Bisharp. In addition, Kingambit also have particularly arrogant personality to match their seemingly oversized head blade, so much that they rush into battle alongside armies of their pre-evolutions without planning complex strategies.
In short, head blades in Pawniard’s evolutionary line represent a trade-off between signaling in beneficial and detrimental ways within the same species; as well as attack power versus skill.
Credit for the Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit 3D models goes to @4lex-4nder.
