I still find it amusing how pkmn breeding in SV happens in picnics... like, the implication of pkmn doing the do there? right in front of my salad?? and the way u can accidentally do the breeding when u just want to chill in the picnic?

I remembered something funny, and I thankfully still have the screencaps I took. So, the trading thing with NPCs in the clubroom. It was pretty cool, can't remember if I knew about it beforehand or not but it was still nice.

However. When the time came to trade with Drayton, I got so sad.

"What do you mean I can't trade him a Legendary/Mythical OR a shiny???? I wanna give him something cool!!" (Can't trade mons you aren't the OT of either, but that at least makes more sense.) The shiny ban is the most egregious though. I get that both function as an anti-griefing measure, but still...

What's funny is the discovery I had soon after:

"I CAN'T GIVE HIM A GOD OR A SHINY, BUT I CAN GIVE HIM A PARADOX?????"

Because that makes sense. The creatures with literal "the world shouldn't know about them" lore introduced in this same generation can be traded. Ok.

It was so ridiculous that I went through with the trade, but I closed my game without saving because the idea of giving Drayton a pokemon who could easily maul him - he being a Dragon Tamer or not - didn't sit right with me. I care him too much.

So, I decided to give him a lil Skrelp. Dragalge has great synergy with his team, gives him another countermeasure against fairies - though he probably doesn't need it considering his win rate is evidently better than Lacey's.

So remember that old headcannon that Drayden was the submas boy's uncle? Well, it's cannon to me! So that means we get nephew Dayton.

I don't know how this family tree works, I just want the boys to be the goofy uncles to this lazy future high school drop out.

Also subplot, Drayton came into their lives the same time Blanc had a clutch of eggs hatch. Maternal instincts kicked in and that boy is now her baby. She just thought he was a weird looking joltik for years (probably still thinks that).
