#alek art #zane julien #previous master of ice #ninjago #lego ninjago #2024 #aka the scene i wish we got in snake jaguar ...#zane is like 30 here #im mostly thinking about dr juliens perspective on this night. we have very little to go off of but he was very weirded out #random very sick old man shows up at your door and takes an “interest” in your son. he isnt even over for an entire day. with him comes col #he was striken with winter and something about him felt off. he leaves without a word. after his arrival your son begins acting weird.#then another old man arrives. asking for your son. wonder what happened there #for anything about passing on powers or losing them its always some big event... hm #i think the previous master really did need shetler. we know he was old and died shortly after the power giving. i dont know what about #zane caught his eye. i do think its very interesting that this man of few words was so obviously fascinated that dr julien noticed.#dr julien isnt the most socially aware and in the little bit he said about the previous master... he sounded concerned #imagine weirding out the weirdest man alive #i think zane caught on too. he felt eyes on him the entire night. they ate dinner with the man.. gave him shelter... but he felt he wanted #more. sometime that day he gave zane the power of ice. which effectively changed the course of his entire life. zane and dr julien hadnt a #clue what happened. 'yesterday a man arrived' so not even within a day did he see zane and decide that he was the one #thinking about how zane acting like his self now is 'strange' and was out of the ordinary. what was he like before? how do you even pass a #power down. we see people get their powers stolen and its always a spectacle and its so exhausting and so on. how did dr julien not see #anything. there was no questions? he just noticed the previous master found his son interesting and then he left ?#goddddd im insane i wanna write a fic about zane pre series

#The Maid and The Crocodile #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #I loved this a lot!#The story has so much personality and is charming and simple but with a lot of complexity in the background and worldbuilding.#Sade is such a fantastic protagonist; I love her genuine enjoyment of being a maid and how it's an important and legitimate job.#The romance is very sweet actually; and I enjoyed their bickering (’don’t come’ ‘don’t tell me what to do’ 😭)#Very obvious inspiration and comp to Howl’s Moving Castle - moreso the movie but both tbh. It didn’t feel derivative though.#howell if his passion was revolution #It’s also a standalone but definitely pretty directly dealing with some of the aftermath of the Raybearer Duology.#I really like how it explores some of the results of abolishing the monarchy and some of the societal changes because of that #- especially regarding average people #I loved all the side characters - the amenities; and the side lesbians. Also the ending!#Really great narration - the accents and the singing! (though at 2x the singing sounds very weird; I still appreciate it conceptually)#‘the children yearn for the mines’ yeah i noticed that reference #good book

people will always be like "i lost 3 followers over this post..." and it's like. how do you know that?? do you guys check your followers, and track when they go down when you post certain stuff??? i don't pay jack shit attention to my followers list i just occasionally click through the recent people who have followed me to block bots and underage people. also i notice and get really excited when i see i have become mutuals with a blog i like. anyway take my poll.

*I can see this being the case for small blogs, like if you always have had ten followers and then one day you see you have eight, it makes sense you might draw a correlation to a specific post.

Got some pictures of the Stargazer jacket too! Had some neat little details (the free cowboy pin + Buck’s initial sewn into the cuff were especially cool). Even the tag makes a reference to POTU, which given Dale Frandor’s appearance on the Void flyer, might mean we’re getting more soon 👀

#sorry. it’s another robot in weird formal wear.#sorry it’s fucking blue and white again #i promise I can design things outside of this but I am!!!! stuck rn #art tag #oc tag #ned dex and this guy all wear shirt and ties #ned has more of a generic work attire whereas dex has whatever he has going on #an undershirt with. long sleeves that are also fingerless gloves. his shirt. his tie and then a cropped hoodie #then twenty ALSO wears a shirt. but his is under a regular hoodie that goes under a trench coat #naro and zero don’t wear formal wear #zero’s outfit doesn’t really need to be logical so idk what’s going on there #Naro’s outfit vaguely just looks like pjs #they’re not but I don’t know how else to describe that #and this guy wears a whole ass suit #anyway!!#his colour changing isn’t a voluntary thing #if he focuses REALLY hard he can change his colours #but usually it changes depending on a task he’s doing and he does it without notice #it IS also sometimes an emotional thing #but if it’s an intense emotion like sadness or anger they’ll just go grey more than anything
