I see your Padme as a force ghost in her flowing funeral gown with flowers in her hair and i raise you, force ghost Padme in her hospital gown.

Since early childhood Padme has always been painted and decorated and a lot of that comes from Naboo’s culture. But as someone else put it, there’s an intense kind of body horror in a 14 year old girl repeatedly having to change outfits and put on heavy makeup and wigs while her entire planet is under seige.

For that to continue into death feels unfair to her. Let her be in her bloody hospital gown with sweat plastering her hair to her forehead and red swollen eyes, tear tracks down her cheeks. Let her not have to maintain her image after fucking dying. Let her be angry and bitter and want people, want her husband to see her pain.

Let Vader look at his wife’s ghost and see that although she didn’t die directly by his hand, she still suffered and she’s not trying to hide it from anyone.

I love how in this scene, Padmé assumes Anakin is once again being sent away on a mission, she mourns how they were (the Jedi and the Republic) taking her husband away from her again, and at that same moment, Luke and Leia from within the womb shift a little as Padmé conceives this thought. Then she corrects herself saying that Anakin was being taken away from “them” and not only herself. Clearly showing us that there’s already a remnant of an attachment and bond with the unborn twins to their father.

Oh, to think of what the Skywalker family could’ve been.

You ever think about the fact that part of the reason the Rebellion was able to take off was because the 212th and 501st didn't do their due diligence during Order 66?

The 212th didn't actually bother to check if Obi-Wan was dead because "no one could have survived that fall".

The 501st allowed Bail Organa to run off after witnessing them murder a Jedi youngling instead of killing him. Jedi sympathizers were supposed to be executed on sight just like the Jedi, and Bail was the Jedi's strongest ally in the Senate.

Not to mention, the 332nd Company all died without successfully killing Ahsoka because Rex disobeyed Order 66 and they were able to survive with each other's help.

Obi-Wan spent the rest of his life watching over Luke from afar and Bail adopted Leia. Ahsoka became Fulcrum and operated as an informant for the Rebellion. Captain Rex was part of the strike team that liberated Lothal and part of the Endor strike team that helped destroy Death Star 2.
