He was keeping the kids safe because they were the weapons they were going to use to destroy the Sith. If it had been two other twins he would have done the same thing and he also set Luke on a course to murder his biological father by telling Luke that his father was betrayed and murdered by Darth Vader.

If anything Obi-Wan gave up on Anakin. Padmé had unwavering faith that there was still good in Anakin and her faith remained alive in her son who once he learned who Vader really was set about trying to save him. Obi-Wan told Luke that the Anakin had been destroyed and that if he couldn’t kill Vader then the Emperor has already won.

Going absolutely insane bc Obi Wan literally gave up the rest of his life for Anakin. He spent over a decade wasting away in a desert to protect Anakin’s children from Anakin. He saved Anakin’s daughter and watched over Anakin’s son, all while having raised Anakin himself when he wasn’t ready. He stayed with Anakin’s wife when she was alone in one of the darkest moments of her life and stayed with her as she died. Everything he did can he tied back to Anakin. He gave everything for Anakin and loved him so much, even when anyone else would’ve given up, and in the end, Anakin was the one who killed him.

Years after the Clone Wars and after the Empire has been dismantled, historians and anthropologists try to make sense of the Hero with No Fear and the poster-boy/propaganda for the Republic. Who was the man behind the General Skywalker?

They discover his sketches and his writings. They expect to find military jargon and strategic plans throughout the Clone Wars. They expected the text to uncover secrets that the Republic held.

And secrets they did find. Of a different kind.

In their search to understand who General Anakin Skywalker was, they discover the truth. Who he truly was. They discover the prose about the angel queen from Naboo. They read through the sonnets he had written in the quiet moments of the Battle of Ryloth about the reason for his being. They discover the sketches he made of the intrepid senator that illustrated the depth of his endearment. The letters filled with such floral flirtations and confessions of deep desire and longing. They couldn't understand until they did.

Anakin Skywalker was a man in love shackled by the confines of his Order.

They had no idea just how much that confinement led to their current world paradigm.

What I love about these is that they show off Anakin’s talent to draw which often doesn’t get recognition. I remember in the clone wars episode “Trespass” where Anakin picked up a rock to draw for the natives an illustration of their intentions and it triggered my memory that Anakin was, and still is, a skilled artist, and how I’ve always loved that quality about him because I can relate to it.

Just thinking about the horribly heartbreaking symbolism of Padmé going to her grave with the Japor snippet laced in her fingers.

The Japor snippet was her reminder of who Anakin always was, of a boy who had nothing and still risked his life to help others, without thought of reward.

This necklace was a symbol of Anakin. It signified who he was as a person, of his selflessness, of his light, of his love. (See –> "You'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine")

And her carrying it to her grave is both a symbol of her unshakable faith in him, and a metaphor: that the last piece of Anakin Skywalker is following his wife to her grave.

That Anakin Skywalker is dead.

Vader is all that's left.

A Cybertronian Reader is thrown off course after being attacked by a Decepticon starship. They end up crash landing on a planet inhabited by a clone squad, who pick up on their distress signal.

A clone squadron is set to ambush a Seperatist military operation, until one of their vehicles turns into a Decepticon. Unsure of how to proceed, an Autobot suddenly jumps into the battlefield.

The Bad Batch attempt to rent a speeder bike or some kind of ride while their ship is being repaired. But once they get their hands on it, turns out it’s an Autobot who got stuck in their alt-mode.

The 501st is set for a big attack against the Seperatists, but there’s another squadron joining them. A squad composed entirely of Autobots, sent by Optimus Prime.

Ahsoka befriends an injured Cybertronian she met while it was in hiding. After helping them out for a while, she introduces them to Anakin & her friends. Who are all shocked to meet someone so tall… 😅

Fives & Echo arrive on Cybertron after being let on shore leave, invited to the planet by their mechanical friend. Who hopes to watch the Iacon 5000, but Fives has a better idea. Why not compete?

After being separated from his team on a desolate part of a planet, Commander Wolffe comes across a young Cybertronian. A little protoform hiding by itself.

After hiding from the Empire with a brigade of Autobots, Omega becomes restless until she meets a teenage protoform. Who’s looking for a good time outside of the base.

As the first Republic Senator to arrive on Cybertron in over a century, Padme Amidala comes face to face with one of the great Primes. Which is the Reader, whose very first task as a newly appointed Prime is to welcome the Senator.

I want Anakin and Padme to raise their twins but after Anakin gets cooked by Obi Wan and is put in the vader suit. So he’s just this terrifying figure who can destroy whole battalions, then you see him carrying around two little toddlers or walking behind his wife while she shops and he holds her bags

I didn’t do the cosplay just for the meme….

Flying to Italy and finding the exact field to recreate the picnic scene was pretty amazing. The costume took me a month to make 😮‍💨 it was so nice to shoot it in THE field!!

God this makes me want to cry. Poor Vader.

This particular Vader comic (2020) chapter encapsulating my favourite scene ever in any Vader comic that exists.

Vader goes to visit Padmé’s and his old apartment after finding out that Luke was his son, and brings his droid companion along with him (forgot its name, lol.) It questions him about why they’re even there, Vader surprisingly answers the question honestly and says that Padmé is Luke’s mother to which the droid responds by rummaging through its data, and finds that Padmé was often accompanied by a Jedi Knight by the name of “Skywalker” which is Luke’s name.

The best part of this scene being how the droid further adds to his statement that “they” must have become “friendly.” 😏

It’s the way Vader is just standing there listening as the droid says this for me.
