Okay! Not สาธุ related! But...
Tumblr media
Wandee fucking Goodday, holy shit!
Yo, my best friend is fucking obsessed with this!!! I'm not a romance fan (which BL falls under), but that one time I had a sleepover with her, she could not function at all on that Saturday and just waited for the latest episode to drop. And then forced me to watch it with her! Aahhaha! Good times.
But her obsession didn't just stop there. She flew all the way to Bangkok last-last Friday just to watch the final episode with the cast in a theater and get this photoshoot thing with the main leads. She stayed there only for one night and came back to Malaysia the next day! It was insane! And to make it even more insane—it was during that IT outage too, so her flight was also grounded for hours!!!
That bitch's dedication to Wandee is whack, ahahhaha!
I do have a bit of fondness for people who like Wandee, even though I personally don't know what it's about beyond "doctor, gay love, a lot of purple lights in someone's bedroom." I remember the show being really casual and cheerful, which makes it a wonderful comfort show, I think!
----
Also, it's always fun to find a random Southeast Asian on Tumblr. I've got two Singaporean friends here now, so I wouldn't say no to a Vietnamese friend!
I'm Malaysian myself!
Oooh another southeast asian tumblr-ian \( ̄︶ ̄*\))
I wish I could have attended that event too. Unfortunately, I'm currently in Australia for my master degree so I can't go events in Thailand. I totally would have if I were in Viet Nam though (I can totally understand how your friend feels though since I also attended a final EP screening in November last year for another Thai BL series that I was insane obsessed crazy about and it was such a fun experience).
Also not สาธุ-related and you might have already watched this but if you haven't yet, I totally recommend Bad Genius (2017) (available on Netflix Malaysia) which also stars James Teeradon (Win in สาธุ) where he also takes part in a money making heist scheme (the main character name is Lyn!!!!!). I think my appreciation for สาธุ is partially fuelled by the nostalgia I felt when watching สาธุ while being reminded of this film. It was the first Thai film I ever watched and also the reason I've been following James work until today, I'm so glad to see his growth as an actor.

i LOVE your post about your favorite thai actresses, can you do one with your favorite actors?
I sure can! I also have a full video ranking every thai actor I know, though my mind has evolved a bit since then for sure :)
MY FAVORITE THAI ACTORS
Tumblr media
off jumpol: I mean I'll try to stay brief bc everyone knows how much I adore off, but for me he's truly the one actor who has it all: he can act great, he's beautiful, has literally the best personality out of any actor, has a great fashion sense, can sing well, is hilarious af, an amazing leader & mc, a great friend & phi to literally everyone around him... like HOW can you not love him? I've been his fan for 3 years now and literally fall in love with him more every day <3
Tumblr media
mond tanutchai: speaking of love, here's another actor I'm literally in love with <3 so mond is objectively one of the most beautiful men on this earth, and on top of that he's an amazing actor, is very charismatic, and has the cutest personality! I just hate how underrated he is bc he deserves to be a leading man in every series, and I hope he can get to that very soon bc he only deserves the best of the best :)
Tumblr media
tay tawan: so "everybody loves tay" is a popular saying in the fandom for a reason. I usually think actors who are loved by everyone are overrated, but for tay it's 100000% warranted. even though he's not the greatest actor (he's a good actor don't get me wrong!), he has the best personality (infp's unite) and is just... happiness in a human being :) he's also an amazing presenter and extremely genuine & passionate about everything he ever talks about. he transpires honesty & I would trust him with my life <3
Tumblr media
drake laedeke: so on top of being very incredibly handsome, I feel like drake really has one of the best personalities out there in the fact that he's not afraid of being silly or "too much." a pattern you'll find in every actor I love is their genuine-ness, and drake definitely has that! he's extremely hyper & fun and while he still has some work to put in acting-wise, he's getting better every year and I'm very excited to see where he goes <3
Tumblr media
first kanaphan: so I always brag that I've liked first since his first role, but it's true! I've always felt like he had so much potential, especially when I saw him alongside off in wolf, or drake in blacklist. but ngl since his first role in wake up chanee that was great, I felt like he was delegated to mediocre & okay series where, even though he did shine, he didn't get to show his full potential either. then not me happened, and like everyone in that show, he fucking SLAYED and bodied yok in a way literally no one else could have, and now he's also killing it in the eclipse so I'm literally standing here like a proud mom like "FINALLY! my son gets some good material!" so yeah, I love first & his talent, as well as his silly & loving personality. he's just... pure good vibes <3
Tumblr media
earth pirapat: so even though I'm not a super fan of where earth's career is going, very much caged into his ship, I've loved him for a very long time. he's literally the only actor I've seen every role of (even his singaporean show), and he's had my attention since his first role in water boyy, but stole my heart as un in theory of love who's part of what was my main favorite ship, untwo, for years. that love truly culminated in 1000 stars, where he finally got a main role that made him shine like he deserves to! so yeah, I will always support earth, bc he's an amazing actor, genuinely one of the most beautiful men on earth & truly such a sweetie <3 all good vibes towards him!
Tumblr media
joss wayar: to complete the hottie trinity (with mond & earth), we of course have joss! so the dude is literally the most beautiful man on this earth & it's kinda rude... but I also really appreciate the fact that he's chosen a variety of roles including a bi poly icon like neo in 3 will be free. I also think he definitely has the potential to become THE male lead of thai series if he works a bit more on his acting, especially in emotional scenes, and while I don't really love the "hustle culture" part of his personality, I still love his response to someone asking him if he was gay back in 2019 that showed how open-minded he is. I'm very excited to see where his career goes :)
Tumblr media
gun atthaphan: so what is there to say about gun that hasn't already been said? an obvious INSANE talent for acting, an incredible fashion sense & the cutest personality... it's no coincidence why gun is so beloved. I have nothing but great things to say about him, and while his personality is very private so I wish I knew more about him, I will always support him in every endeavor & wish him the best <3
Tumblr media
fluke gawin: a recent addition to my faves’ list, gawin has always been on my radar since his first role as mork in dark blue kiss. while he hasn't had that many roles, he's stolen the show in pretty much all of them! mork was already my favorite part of dbk, I rooted for his character in girl next room over the male lead and he was adorable in enchanté... but of course it's his role in not me that truly sealed the deal for me, managing a super complex character with many emotional scenes & truly showing me that besides a beautiful man who can sing insanely well, there truly is an amazing actor. I'm extremely excited to see where fluke goes next, even though y'all know I'm not a fan of him starring in be my favorite, bc I truly know he has many great things ahead of him. very, very excited for what's to come <3
Tumblr media
non chanon: so it's funny bc non has been on my radar for a while, through his roles in bad genius the movie & project s: shoot! I love you, but I always found his roles incredibly bland & boring. then, this past year happened: he gave a twist to the boring male lead trope in 46 days, played one of the most interesting complex roles ever in one of my all-time favorite thai dramas the revenge, and once again a layered messed up rapper in wannabe... and now he's gonna be in the first historical thai bl too! so to say my opinion of him has changed would be an understatement bc he's not only a really, really, REALLY solid actor & absolutely gorgeous, but he also seems like a lovely person who loves pushing himself into new interesting roles. I'm very excited to see his future roles, especially as he seems to want to work with gmmtv more, and I'm really glad to have changed my mind about him <3
other actors I love: white nawat, jaylerr krisanapoom, arm weerayut, mek jirakit, khaotung thanawat, gunsmile chanagun, billkin putthipong & toni rakkaen <3

*Notice: This is an extremely early idea, I wasn't planning on posting the intro post so early into the development, but I have decided to just mainly to see if anyone would be interested in this idea before I actually start getting into it and also I got a bit too excited. It is a very early idea, so I cannot guarantee that I will be with it to the very end, but I will try my best. I am also extremely new to both coding and writing, so it will probably take me even longer to do this. I am still figuring out how to use twine, so the game will probably be on there unless stated otherwise in the future. As for the demo, I am a full time university student and have a very busy schedule, so I don't know when it will come out, it might take a few months, it might take a year, I don't know. Just wanted to put this notice beforehand.
Introduction
Hi, I go by the pen name Ms. Protagonist and Behind the Scenes is a very recent project that I've just started working on inspired by the Thai drama Lovely Writer and other webtoons/manga that delve into acting and the entertainment industry, such as Act-Age amongst others. Although I am fluent in English and have been speaking it for many years, it is not my first language and this is my first time writing a story fully in English, so please keep that in mind and please do bear with me, I will try to make it the very best I can. I've always wanted to write my own interactive fiction story, so hopefully this sticks.
Behind the Scenes
*Behind the Scenes will be rated 16+ for language and potential content not suitable for those who are younger readers.
You're an upcoming actor trying to make it big in the city of Orlia.
After taking minor roles for the majority of your career your manager stumbles upon one  potential role that could be the stepping stone for your career.
An author going by the pen name  Lera Blue, usually known for her fantasy novels  has published a  mystery romance called "Dagger in the Heart"  that will be getting a TV series adaptation. They have put out a casting call for auditions and you seem to fit the criteria for one of the lead roles, and as such you end up auditioning.
Unfortunately , Orlia's entertainment industry is not all glitz and glamour. Navigating your new found fame you might find yourself in potential controversies, rumours and shifts in public opinion that could make or break your reputation.
Will you have the big break you've always dreamed of or will you fall from grace?
Features
●Customise your MC's appearance, personality, gender and sexuality amongst other things.
●Public opinion could potentially make or break your career. Influence the public's opinion of you through your actions.
●Romance or befriend the 6 ROs (3 gender selectable, 2 gender-locked non binary and 1 gender-locked female)
●Bond with the rest of the cast and the crew or don't; it's up to you at the end of the day.
Romance Options under the cut
ROs
Ezra Wei (Female) [Bisexual] <Ethnicity: Hui Chinese and Zulu South African | Nationality: Singaporean> "Dagger in the Heart" 's  author that goes by the pen name Lera Blue. Ezra is not a woman of many words, tending to keep people at arm' s length. She is often described by those who know her as an enigma: hard to decipher; no one really knows what she's truly thinking. Despite coming across as harsh at times, Ezra truly cares about her craft and wants the best adaptation possible of her work.
Kylo Shrestha (Male/Female) [Panromantic Demisexual] <Ethnicity: Newar Nepali | Nationality: British> Your manager and best friend. They have been your biggest  supporter ever since middle school where you would act out some of your favourite scenes from Naruto's English dub in the living room. Kylo is an easygoing person with a sarcastic sense of humour and infectious laughter. They are incredibly loyal and reliable and has always been there for you when you've needed them most.
Maisah Aissaoui (Male/Female) [Biromantic Greysexual] <Ethnicity: Berber Morroccan and Afro-Algerian | Nationality: Spanish, raised in Orlia> Part of the main cast and one of your co-stars in the TV adaptation of "Daggers in the Heart". Maisah is one of the country's most popular actors, having been part of the entertainment industry from a very young age. When the cameras are off, Maisah is an aloof and blunt individual that keeps their friends close and their enemies closer.
Asher Akedele  (Non Binary) [Pansexual]  <Ethnicity: Yoruba Nigerian | Nationality: Born and raised in Orlia> The director of "Dagger in the Heart". Asher is outgoing yet direct in nature, as you would expect from someone of xyr profession. Known for xyr charismatic disposition and commanding presence, xe is well respected  within the entertainment industry and by media critics. Earning xyr respect is much easier said than done, loosing it on the other hand is far less complicated.
Harlow Gibson (Non Binary)  [Panromantic Asexual] <Ethnicty: Irish and Italian | Nationality: Australian, raised in Orlia> A journalist working for FameGame Magazine, who appears to have taken an interest in "Dagger in the Heart" 's adaptation. Harlow is a cunning and persuasive individual who will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Their articles have been known to make or break many celebrities' careers; whether they will make or break yours is an entirely different matter altogether.
Logan Van der Westhuysen (Male/ Female)  [Bisexual] <Ethnicity: Belgian | Nationality: Born and raised in Orlia> Part of the main cast and one of your co-stars in the TV adaptation of "Daggers in the Heart".  Logan's reputation as a flirt and the nation's heart breaker precedes them. With mixed public opinions due to their seemingly shallow personality and dating scandals, Logan has been a topic of controversy for as long as they can remember. Whether there is more to them than meets the eye is up to you.
* I've seen some transphobic/aphobic comments that authors have been getting about their characters and some of the things that these anons have said are absolutely disgusting. So let me make it clear now, Ezra is a trans woman and both Asher and Harlow are Non-Binary. Kylo, Harlow and Maisah fall within the ace spectrum and as such any transphobic/aphobic comments or asks regarding my characters will not be tolerated. You will be blocked immediately and your ask will be deleted.

“Thayet is often described as one of the most beautiful women in existence. In 439 HE, she is described as having creamy ivory skin, jet black hair and hazel eyes[12]. Her face, and particularly her nose, is described as strong-boned, with even brows and a naturally red mouth. Her nose makes her face human as opposed to "inhumanly beautiful", and is courtesy of her father Adigun.” (x)
(on the K’mir) “Actually, they’re based partly on the Mongols in that they’re riders, partly on the Montagnard tribes of the central highlands of Vietnam, and a bit on the Maya at least in their facial bones. Their language is cobbled from the Montagnard. You may have some trouble tracking pictures of them down, but they come from similar aboriginal stock to the Laotian Hmong and Meo tribes and the Thai hill tribes. And their armor is a bit like the armor of the samurai, only it’s lacquer over bamboo in layers and cured to an iron-like consistency. Saren culture is a mix of Eastern lands culture and a dash of Vietnamese/Cambodian culture, but not too much, because those are jungle cultures (with dress for warmer climates and foods for same), and Saraine is close to the Roof of the World.” (x)
Thayet is roughly 20 when she meets Alanna (the wiki has some conflicting dates), and in her early 50s by the time Daine’s first child is born.
So I went back and forth a lot on how racially specific to be with this fancast. On the one hand, Tamora Pierce’s cultures are all based on (combinations of) real-world cultures, and I think it’s important that this be reflected in the fancasting. On the other, the K’mir and the Saren lowlanders are amalgamations of several real-world cultures depending on whether we’re talking about culture, climate, or physical description, so there’s a bit more flexibility to choose actors who fit the characters’ physical description but are not necessarily of the ideal race or ethnicity. There’s also the added component that Mongolian and Southeast Asian actors almost never appear in western medieval/renaissance period dramas, so the pickings were pretty slim.
Ultimately, I decided to go by physical description over race. My one limit is that since Thayet is explicitly written as mixed-race, I don’t feel comfortable fancasting white actors. I’ve included the race/ethnicity of each actor below, so anyone who wants to use this can make their own decisions about how racially specific they want to be.
Anyway, here we go:
Tumblr media
MEDALION RAHIMI - PRINCESS ISABELLA (STILL STAR-CROSSED)
Medalion Rahimi is hands-down my favorite fancast for Thayet. She looks exactly like I imagine, right down to the take-no-shit look in her eyes. She was roughly 25 when filming Still Star-Crossed, so she makes a good fancast for early-reign Thayet. She is of Jewish and Middle-Eastern descent.
Tumblr media
INDIRA VARMA - VARIETY OF ROLES
Indira Varma is also high on my list of Thayet fancasts, and she’s particularly useful because she’s been in several period dramas and fantasies throughout her career. She was in her early 30s while filming Rome, 39 during World Without End, and early 40s during Game of Thrones. She is mixed race Indian and white.
Tumblr media
Q’ORIANKA KILCHER - PRINCESS KAIULANI (PRINCESS KAIULANI)
Q’orianka Kilcher is usually one of my favorite fancasts for Lalasa, but she works well for young Thayet as well, and the costumes in Princess Kaiulani are wonderfully elaborate and regal. (Also it’s just a really great movie, you should watch it.) She was roughly 18 during filming. She is of Peruvian and European descent.
Tumblr media
JESSICA HENWICK - NYMERIA SAND (GAME OF THRONES)
Jessica Henwick is another great young Thayet. She was 22-24 while filming Game of Thrones. Her costumes are a bit more revealing than I imagine Thayet wears, but her armor is pretty fitting. She is Chinese, Singaporean, and Zambian.
Tumblr media
GEMMA CHAN - BESS OF HARDWICK (MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS)
Gemma Chan was 35 when filming Mary Queen of Scots, and is pretty much the only Asian actor I can find in a European-set, Renaissance period drama. Her clothes are fairly close to how I imagine Tortallan fashion during Jonathan’s reign. The only drawback is she seems to consistently wear her hair in this weird updo. I picture Thayet with her hair usually tied up, but... not exactly like this. Gemma Chan is ethnically Chinese.
If you’ve got favorite fancasts for Thayet, feel free to add them! The full series can be found here. Thanks to whichever anon requested Thayet; she was a challenge, and I got to go down some good POC period drama rabbit holes, which will prove infinitely useful. If anyone has other requests, send them my way!

2gether The Series, Novel vs Show Part 1
Before I begin, I will just say that this is only the 1st novel, as the 2nd has not been released in English yet. In this post and the other’s following, I'll explain the differences between the main characters and plot line in the book vs the show.
1st of all, in the novel, Tine describes himself as having the appearance of Mark Parin/Prin (the novel spells it differently)
Tumblr media
This dude, so I mean, still hot, but yeah.
Tine still prides himself on his good looks in the novel, as you can see by him describing himself as a famous actor.
He goes on to say in the first chapter “You can call me the coolest guy in my year. Try to ask my juniors in my school, no one has never heard the name Tine Teepakorn...If you ask them, “Do you know Tine?” I bet everyone will say, “Are you crazy? Don’t you know Tine? He’s soooooooo cute! Cute AF,” (Yes they really use AF in here, at one point Green even says “I’m on fleek”, and yes, they do use a lot of o’s)
Tine and his friends all go by famous movie star nicknames in the book, They call themselves the “Star Gang”, Puek is JamesJI (Although Tine says he looks nothing like him), Ohm is Pope, due to his handsomeness being that of a noble (He’s also on the Cute Boy Page), and Fong is Mario, since Mario is Thai-Chinese-German, and Fong is Thai, Chinese, and a bit Singaporean
The story does not start with Tine receiving a love note while trying on his cheerleading uniform, instead, Tine is with his friends when Green approaches him and asks him out. Tine lets him know he’s into girls, and Green goes on to say that he can change Tine’s mind, Tine looks to his friends for help, but they do not come to his aid
Green does do the whole “stalking thing”, including the bathroom scene, although that scene is a little longer and a bit more embarrassing for Tine
Tine does go to his ex Numnim for help as a fake girlfriend, although Green and her recognize each other instantly, and Tine never gets the chance to use the girlfriend line
MAJOR PLOT DIFFERENCE, at no point does Tine attempt to drug Green, that scene is only in the show, instead, Tine reluctantly watches Ssssss play on stage with Green (It is worth noting that Tine does call Sarawat very good looking when he sees him, Tine also said Green was good looking when he first met him, but his character type is very much the same in the TV show)
When Tine first approaches Sarawat to ask him to be his fake boyfriend, Sarawat’s response is a LOT more aggressive, he says “If you look at me like that, Im’ma fu**ing kiss you. What a pain!” (Does someone need a snickers????)
Tine is also not the same kind of nervous when it comes to asking the favor as in the show vs the novel. Instead, Tine doesn’t get the chance to tell Sarawat the first time because they’re surrounded by an army of girls
The car scene also doesn’t happen, instead, Tine follows Sarawat to the cafeteria where he breaks Sarawat’s phone for all to see after he tries to get Sarawat to listen to him
Tine goes to a cheerleading dinner that night where Sarawat actually sits WITH them, and watches as Tine does his “Top or Bottom” speech, it is after this that Tine follows Sarawat to the bathroom, Sarawat calls him cute, then wipes his unwashed hands on Tine’s hair (WASH YO HANDS)
Sarawat does make the “I want to eat Sarawat post”, the the porn scene is different. Instead of it being in a classroom, Tine messages Sarawat immediately after seeing the post, Sarawat sends him the link, although Tine does not open it, instead he complains about his phone getting viruses from Sarawat’s antics
SARAWAT HAS TWO BROTHERS, we’ve only seen Phukong in the tv show so far, so I don’t know whether they plan on introducing Phumad or not
Also, major Thai thing here, everyone goes by nicknames in Thailand, hence why there are names like Tutor, Dean, etc. They have first and last names, but typically you introduce yourself by your nickname. Their nicknames are generally chosen as a way to describe them (Like Tutor the tutor), when Tine asks Sarawat what his nickname is for, Sarawat explains that Sarawat is not a nickname, but rather his real first name, and that his parents never gave him a nickname, only his brothers have nicknames. This is very strange and confuses Tine a lot
The whole candy-kiss scene does happen, but it’s as punishment for Tine and Sarawat arguing with each other, it’s also a lot less romantic. Tine says that he wishes he could cry, and when Sarawat’s lips touch his own, he actually does cry...before passing out. After he wakes up, Tine goes into full panic mode and actually has a tiny panic attack, finding it difficult to breathe and respond to others, as well as wanting to throw up, over all his first experience with Sarawat is not exactly a good one
