Signalé par ma soeur ("dans la veine de Burning days")
Une parfaite parenté entre ces deux films très réussis (au-delà du fait que les deux réalisateurs portent le même patronyme) ; une préférence tout de même pour Burning days de Emin Alper

i was telling some of my coworkers that i was watching game of thrones for the first time and the ones who read the books all told me some variation of "the starks are defanged in the adaptation. i don't know why they did that." and i got some messages this morning that mirror the sentiment.
if multiple people, some of whom don't know each other, say the same thing, the probability of them all lying is pretty low. it's still been weird to watch something where the supporting cast outshines the leads. sibel kekilli (shae) and iwan rheon (ramsay snow/bolton) absolutely kill it in this show. tyrion and dany shouldn't be the only interesting leads when there's like 9 of them.

i wasn’t really on board with all the hate the accent got s1 but i do like sonoya’s real voice (with her very “standard” posh-ish english accent) and that it still has a lil flavor too it bc honestly it’s less distracting
Hi anon! I think you're referencing the first post I made after episode 1.
Tumblr media
I didn't hate her accent so much as it was, as you say, distracting. Sometime in 2022 I read an article that said they had attempted to make Mysaria's accent sound like Shae's from GoT. The only problem is that is Sibel Kekilli's normal accent! So they missed the mark. For me, I was unable to take the character of Mysaria very seriously in season 1.
About a week before season 2 premiered I was telling a moot that I just really needed them to correct this for Sonoya Mizuno because she's a good actress and it's a disservice to her. That they should correct it without making a big deal about it and we would just accept it. And they did!!
I'm so pleased that she doesn't feel like a caricature of some but a character in her own right. It makes a big difference in how much we get invested in a character if they are believable. I'm so glad Sonoya gets that opportunity again.
