The cast of Blades of Light and Shadow and their Perfect Match types

Ever since I did my Blades/Elementalists attunement crossover to mark the anniversary of the Blades series, I’ve known I wanted to do something like this to mark the wide release of book three, and I love me some Perfect Match and the types system, so what better way than by incorporating that into a piece?

So the match types you see here are based on what we’ve seen of these characters up to book two, so any character evolution they may undergo in book three is not accounted for. You might also notice that, when deciding each character’s type, I went off of the core four traits instead of the match name or description, unless I needed a tiebreaker.

Finally, MC’s type is pretty subjective, as I’m sure everyone has a different idea of what their MCs are like, so for the sake of this edit set, Raine’s type is based on which traits she displays most in canon.

I just saw the “stairway to heaven” episode and oh my gosh! I love it so much! The voice acting! The background details! The segment! I wanna squish his cheeks and hug him so bad!

Now lately I’ve been brainrotting poor fragile reader having a nightmare about that particular episode and just holding him randomly and lecturing the segment on how to escape the backrooms.

“And remember! If you hear anything! Make sure not to make too much noise and just leave as quickly as possible!!”

“Why do you need to discuss this information to me?”

“The backrooms!!”

“You should go lay down…”

No matter how long you lived, nightmares were never something you could get accustomed to. Although thankfully being around your lovers significantly decreases the chances of them, they still wake you up in a cold sweat from time to time. The scariest ones was Dottore leaving you... but, even for you, dreaming about one of your lovers traveling in a room that didn't seem to belong to Teyvat was jarring and unrealistic. However, you still cried about it and then resolved to protect that particular segment from the horrors. Unfortunately, he didn't seem too convinced by your words despite how urgently you spewed them out.

"There's no such thing as the backrooms. I told you reading that many horror novels would give you nightmares but you didn't listen," he sighed as he tried to wriggle himself out of your grip to continue working but you were still clinging onto him tightly.

"No!! This is very serious!!" You looked up at him with pleading eyes, remembering how terrified he was in the space you dreamt of, something you never saw compared to his confident and indifferent nature. You couldn't help but be a bit scared for him! "You're not going out on any expeditions soon, right?" At your trembling voice, the segment couldn't help but sigh and drop his tools, awkwardly patting you on the back.

"No, I'm not, but you should not run yourself ragged simply because of a dream. It is just a bad dream concocted by all the stress you've been under, nothing more, nothing less." At his words you relaxed a bit, continuing to snuggle into him. "Now, go lay down and catch your breath."

Later on:

"You know, there was also something else about the dream that piqued my interest."

"And that is?"

"You were wearing a harness! The kind the other segments do! You know, I always wanted to see you in one of those and-"

I love when characters use their coats and jackets as blankets for their friends - genuinely one of my fav displays of affection

AWH... I'm skipping through Roier's QSMP Day 1 VOD because I'm looking for a specific thing, and I just noticed that when Jaiden stands in front of the group to do her introduction and her mic isn't working, Mariana laughs (not in a mean way, I laughed too) and Roier immediately smacks him and tells him off for laughing.

It's such a little thing, but I think it's really sweet in retrospect, especially considering how Roier and Jaiden have become such good friends in recent weeks :')

ok so im currently rewatching nimona in the hindi dub (thank you @sir-ballister-boldheart-boldheart for the link! everyone should check out their great posts about it too btw)

and right of off the bat, im kinda obsessed with this line change:

in the OG, Nimonas quip/joke is "The one armed club is about to get some new members"

but in the Hindi dub its changed to "Agar inmisay kisi ka basu pasand ai toh bata'dayna" (sorry if my hinglish isnt the best i dont do this kinda thing often XO)

(which translates to: "if you find a liking to any of these arms tell me")

which is not only equally as hilarious but also soso cute cause the implication shes ready to chop of any arm he wants as a fucked up kinda karma/compensation or as a replacement is just, so good. violent and in character but also establishes a side of care for him early on which is really cool.

I'm gonna be honest with you guys, the urge to do the same thing I did with the oitd silhouettes, aka slap text posts onto the art with no knowledge of their canon personality other than what they did in the trailer and pulling from the fandom's perceived personality for them, for the new oxventure characters revealed in that trailer is so real

AU where Steph and Jason joined forces to beat the shit outta Tim on titans tower:

Steph was also dead (according to a retcom that I heavily dislike she was always alive, but still) and returned to comics roughly two years after Jason, so since comics timelines are disproportionate from IRL time we technically could mashup those two “back from the grave” events on around the same time and have a situation where Jason hears from Talia that after Tim Drake there was another Robin that died and he is intrigued. He does a little digging and finds out that Stephanie is in fact alive and hiding. In this AU Steph may either have actually died and been somehow ressurected, been in a coma for a while or just have had her death faked by Leslie without her consent, regardless, Jason finds Stephanie who is also mad to learn she was forgotten by the people she thought had brought her in and after hearing that her predecessor’s plans include ruining Black Mask’s empire, forcing Bruce to confront his code and beating the shit out of Tim she is all in.

okay i'm finishing up my s1 rewatch and this moment with lilith and the explosives was actually very funny and also wholesome like okay! we're working together now! lilith is a type A proactive control freak on a good day and right now we're also dealing with some brain interference vis a vis magical brainwashing from the otherside SO! it's a little complicated. but she's been talked off the ledge and she wants to help!

HOWEVER. probably not actually a great idea to let her impulsively blow through a bunch of rock with all those explosives! BUT THE GIRLS RECOGNIZE AND RESPECT THE INTENT. AND THEY ALSO KNOW THAT IF THEY DON'T REDIRECT LILITH'S MANIC ENERGY SOMEPLACE THINGS WILL GET BAD AGAIN. so they take her explosives away and she lets them bc she's On Their Side now but she's SO SAD about it and then bea lectures her quite gently and asks her to help drill a hole! A TASK! FINALLY! A PURPOSE!
