But then again, maybe I'm overthinking things. It's just a book, after all. Still, it's interesting to see a version of myself in literature. Who knows, maybe I'll try to incorporate some of Shahryar's tactics into my own plans for world domination.

There’s this Canadian cartoon “1001 Nights” that I grew up with as a kid, tho I watched it with the Arabic dub

Shahryar doesn’t want to kill Scheherazade bc it’s kid show but for the longest time I assumed that Donyazad and Shahzaman were their kids, idk why bc they refer to them by their first names not as mom and dad. The show was created by an Iranian woman which explains the lack of orientalism.
