Hello, 23F here! I'm craving some found family or just some sort of family based rp! It can be a slice of life, fantasy, sci-fi, or even Fandom based (some I belong to are Harry Potter [I don't condone JKR or her viewpoints], Percy Jackson, Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney). No NSFW or smut. I only rp on Discord.
Like this, and I'll reach out to ya (:

Looking for roleplayers who can consistently write 150-500 words per post. Please be a lengthy RP writer who is either a switch or dominant. It's alright if you're a submissive writer as well but specifically I want to avoid passive writers who don't push the scene forward with every post. Bonus points if you can play your female characters as flirtatious or even slutty. I love it when RP partners add to their own character and have a soft backstory that they make up on the fly. It doesn't need to be well thought out but just something to vaguely reference to. Genres & franchises I'm interested in writing in are as follows: Sengoku Jidai Japan Fantasy Historical Sci-fi Bladerunner DCU James Bond Indiana Jones Marvel Mass Effect Metal Gear Solid Persona Resident Evil Romance of the 3 Kingdoms Saint's Row Silent Hill Star Wars Tomb Raider Witcher
Please be a minimum age of 18+. I hope this post has peaked the interest of several readers and that hopefully we can become roleplay partners. Give this a like and I'll come to you!

Fear is the Most Dangerous Power
Code 8 is a science fiction roleplay set in Lincoln City, California based on the short film and Netflix Original movie, Code 8.
In the early 20th century, the public became aware of people with superhuman abilities, known as Powers, resulting in the government passing a law requiring all Powers to register their abilities. Although they were initially popular in the workforce, Powers are now marginalized in the face of increasing mechanization, leading to severe prejudice, treatment like pariahs, and forced by circumstance to live in poverty. In 2023, a citywide Power ban is being debated.

Hello all! I, 23F, am looking for an 18+ roleplay partner or group, long or short term on Discord only. I do Semi-lit to adv. Lit, but my response times vary from day to day as I am a college student. I am down to use Tupperbox if requested.
I don't do NSFW or Smut. I also don't do heavy gore as I'm a bit squeamish. I prefer for there not to be any heavy descriptions of self-harm or suicidal ideation (it can be in the characters' background, but it can't be a focus of the story).
Romance is welcome but not required. I can do M×F, M×M, and F×F pairings. All I ask is that the relationship is interesting! I am down to play more than one character as well.
If having a romance isn't your thing, then I love a good found family, parent and child, siblings, etc.
Lately, I've been really craving some sort of mystery RP. I would love to do one set in historical, sci-fi, fantasy, or modern times. A few ideas I have are:
-A detective(s) is called to investigate a murder in a mysterious village riddled with secrets and rumors of paranormal activity.
-A character(s) is hired to work at a mansion of a wealthy Lord/Lady that is rumored to be haunted.
-Our characters are detectives and/or agents specializing in the solving of supernatural or paranormal cases. (Think X-Files)
-Our characters are former spies who are trying to disguise themselves as a normal suburban family to investigate a series of crimes in the neighborhood.
-Our characters work for an Intergalactic crime solving team, working on tracking down a gang of Intergalactic criminals.
I am open to any ideas you might have! I love having rp partners who I can craft worlds and immersive stories with. I love to gush about characters and make all the Pinterest boards or aesthetics our hearts desire. I also love having rp partners that I can get to know a little and share a good laugh with (and if you have a dog or cat, pics of your pet are always welcome, hehehe).
If any of this sounds interesting to you, like this post, and I'll reach out to ya! Have a good day :)

Kaleidoscope World is interested in themes of family, love, community, peace, and belonging, right? Right. But with those things come homesickness, loneliness, wandering, nostalgia, heartache. Can't have the happy things without the wistful things. This ad series was trying way too hard to capture that. ;)

Hi, you can call me Storm! I'm 30 and the mom of a loud and demanding cat ❤️
I’m a multiple paragraphs/novella style writer. I love to write detailed descriptions and delve into a character’s head/emotions as well as surroundings. I compare it to writing a novel together. Not every reply has to be novella length, however. If there are action or dialogue heavy scenes, I tend to do a shorter back and forth to keep the momentum going.
I only do MxF (with me writing the female role). I don’t double, but I’m more than happy to write side characters of either gender to help move the story along. I only want female authors writing male characters as I’ve had bad experiences with cis male authors. (Trans men and nonbinary pals are exceptions).
I'm really hoping to find a friendship, someone who can add to our story, and most importantly, someone who wants a long-term connection. It's difficult for me to write with someone if I don't feel that genuine bond. It's also important to me to have a high level of activity, with at least one reply a day.
If you suddenly stop replying ic and ooc, I'll drop the story after 2 attempts of gauging interest spaced a week apart. But feel free to message me if you want to pick the story back up again, even months later.
Searching For:
20+ partners only
An excellent grasp of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization. (Literate to advanced writers only, please. I'm not looking for newbies)
Plot before smut. While mature themes will be in my writing, there needs to be chemistry between our characters. I normally do a 60/40 plot to smut ratio and my characters tend to be subs/switches depending on the circumstances
An older male character (early forties to mid-late fifties). I love the gruff and tough men with dark pasts who secretly have a soft heart. I also love grumpy, hypermasculine men being intimidated by sweet but fiery women. My characters are mid-late twenties to early-mid thirties so the age gap is legal.
Enthusiasm to chat about our character and ship, how to crush them and then gushing over fluffy moments. I love crying over characters and what the heck they’re doing. I want my heart ripped from my chest from angst, then feeling like it’s going to burst from overwhelming cuteness. I want us to love these characters and the world we create. I want to make pinterest boards, spotify playlists, graphics, and toss headcanons back and forth until late at night.
Have an idea for a scene? Found a picture that inspired you? Send it to me! Be invested when it comes to plotting/worldbuilding. There’s nothing worse than receiving one sentence in reply to two paragraphs of ideas, or having a doormat partner who says “sure” to whatever I ask. Building ideas one on top of the other, watching them snowball into amazing plot threads brings me joy. But having to pull plot ideas like I’m pulling teeth makes me think you’re not interested, and I will lose interest in return.
Interests:
Modern fantasy, monsters, sci-fi, omegaverse, southern gothic/midwest gothic (i’m a sucker for that southern/texas drawl), horror, height/size difference, cheating/affair, enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, spooky small towns, post apocalyptic/dystopia, crime/mysteries, emotionally charged/dark and gritty, bodyguard x assignment, forced proximity, opposites attract, fated mates, anti heroes/morally gray characters, traumatic pasts, grumpy x sunshine, one bed, men who simp over their women, touch her / him and die, and more.
I have lots of original plot ideas in mind as well!
Fandoms (OCs ONLY)
Star Wars, Stranger Things, Mercy Thompson Series, True Blood, The Last of Us, Hunger Games
I write only on discord using servers with organized channels. Like this post or add me on discord (magicofrain) if you’re interested. The most effective way to grab my genuine interest is by messaging me as if we've been friends for years. Please let me know which interests you liked from my ad.

Do you ever have a passive gripe with the way trade is represented in medieval/sci-fi/post-apocalyptic fiction? I can't shake the feeling that those are societies that have moved beyond the need for abstract currency - that such forms of trade are more a concession for the viewer to analogize trade to our world instead of offering some kind of unique barter for a world.
A medieval peasant isn't gonna want gold coins for jack because the next trade caravan is two seasons away, they'd much rather a useful tool or some extra fertilizer. Credits in science fiction universes can become worthless due to Future™️ hackers setting their bank accounts to extraordinarily high values, so extra parts for firearms and spaceships are much more useful. Caps in Fallout just make no sense in a world where food and water are few and far between!
I feel unreasonably grumpy about this and I wanted to know if you have any kind of insight to this kind of thing.
There are a couple of only partly related problems here:
1. The idea that the economies of most sci-fi and fantasy settings, as depicted, don't make any sense. This is absolutely true, because most science fiction and fantasy authors don't really think about that sort of thing – their settings only have economies to the extent that the details of those economies are relevant to the plot, which they usually aren't.
2. The idea that it doesn't make sense for currency to exist in these settings because most of them logically ought to have barter economies. The trouble with this assertion is that there's no such thing as a barter economy. Yes, you can describe what one would look like, but no civilisation which has ever actually existed has operated in this fashion. It's a made-up idea – at best, a spherical-cow approximation of how the exchange of goods and services operates in a stateless society, and at worst, complete bullshit.
Consequently, whether or not it makes sense for anything like currency to exist is going to depend on the particulars of how the setting's economy operates (i.e., all the details that that are getting glossed over in point 1, above). About the most we can say in nearly all cases is that we simply don't have enough information about a given fantasy or sci-fi setting's economic structure to know whether it makes sense to have currency or not; we can't just assume in the absence of further details that things will default to a barter economy, because – again – there's no such animal.
