I want more people to know that while the Palestine Olympic team consists of only 8 athletes, at least 69 Palestinian Olympic athletes have been killed since October 2023. This includes athletes who were going to compete in these games and retired athletes such as Majed Abu Maraheel, the first Palestinian Olympian, who died of kidney failure in a refugee camp product of lack of medical treatment.
Remember them during these games.

Refugee Olympic Team for Paris Games announced with 36 athletes
The Refugee Olympic Team for the 2024 Paris Games includes a record 36 athletes from 11 different countries across 12 sports.
The full athlete roster is here and represents more than 100 million displaced people from around the world.
The team composition was based on criteria including each athlete's performances, their refugee status as verified by the United Nations Refugee Agency, a balanced representation of sport and gender and a spread of countries of origin.
For the first time, the Refugee Olympic Team will compete under its own emblem.
Starting with Rio in 2016, National Olympic Committees around the world were asked to identify any refugee athletes with the potential to qualify for the Games. Those athletes could receive funding from the Olympic Solidarity program.
In 2016, 10 athletes competed on the Olympic Refugee Team, including five from South Sudan.
At the Tokyo Games, the team included 29 athletes with the most coming from Syria (nine).
The Paris Olympics open July 26.

Khaani are often tagged as brave and headstrong community in our society. But our central character Sanam Khan is a pragmatic girl; even her younger sisters consider her as a coward person and tease her with the title “Khaani”. Her one and only brother Sarim is soon to be graduated and has to share the burden of house members. On the other hand, Mir Hadi, a rich brat, short-tempered fellow and…

List of all Ontario NDP candidates in the Ontario election!
Hey Ontario! There is an election coming up on June 7th, 2018. According to the polls, the only party who has enough momentum to beat the Ontario PC’s run by Doug Ford is the Ontario NDP (in polls they’re either tied, in 1st place or in 2nd place in the polls). Doug Ford has no platform and has pledged to cut billions of dollars (which is going to lead to cuts to healthcare, education, etc) and he opposes things like a $15/hour minimum wage. I know people want change and are sick of the Liberals, but he’s not a good leader.
The Ontario NDP also have a really good election platform. So check it out:
https://www.ontariondp.ca/platform
So I’ve compiled a list of every electoral district/riding with a link to what NDP candidate is running. Each candidate name links to a short biography of the candidate, and a link to their website where you can follow them on social media, donate or volunteer with their campaign.
If you do not know your riding/electoral district, use this tool to find out:
https://www.elections.on.ca/en/voting-in-ontario/electoral-districts.html
I’ve listed all ridings/electoral districts in alphabetical order.
Please share this widely.
There are 124 ridings in the election, so this post is long, so the rest of this post will be under a ‘read more’ button.

Khaani ~ Episode 1 Review
Written by Asma Nabeel, directed by Anjum Shahzad and produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, the first episode of Khaani aired on Geo on Monday. The fresh pairing of popular stars Sana Javed and Feroze Khan ensured a lot of publicity but did the first episode live up to the hype?
Khaanihas started off as a story of two families from very different socio-economic backgrounds – one a barely making…

Khaani Episode 6 | Har Pal Geo
Khaani are often tagged as brave and headstrong community in our society. Idk if you’ve followed DSJHS, but if you want to watch a show, with pretty much everything on point this IS the drama. Yumna Zaidi, Saman Ansari, Sakina Samo, Aamna Malick and Usama Tahir nailed it. BUT Noman Ijaz take a bow. I think I’ve followed his work from Mera Saeein days but man CAN ACT. What a sensitive story and handling. Also what do you think of Kiran Haq? She was in this drama and I watched Pinjra too and shes amazing. Really wish she does more leading roles bcs such screen presence
I have talked about this before but DSJHS isn’t a drama that I prefer to watch. The subject matter itself is very sensitive and if I’m being honest, a little triggering for me(#MeToo) and it just didn’t help that for more than half of its run, the show was a long show-reel of sitams on Sila and her mother by that disgusting monster Joey. And I don't particularly enjoy such kind of one-sided dramas. HOWEVER. I happened to watch the last few episodes when tides began to turn in Sila’s favor and did enjoy the episodes. No doubt the cast has done brilliant work in. Yumna and Noman do deserve all the accolades for their performance. Another thing that the drama did right was then when the truth did come out, there was no victim blaming. I was actually surprised at how the family supported Sila and her mother when Sila finally spoke up about how Joey used to abuse her. But then again...almost for the whole entirety of the drama that wasn’t the case toh last episode mein hogaya toh koi ehsaan nahin hua.
Kiran Haq? Her character was definitely a scene stealer here. I have seen her in “Khaali Haath” before this but she hasn’t done anything memorable as yet. Google tells me that she was in Maan and yeah..now that I read about it I remember that show xD Oh..she was the “doter” in Akbari Asghari as well! She’s a good actor, definitely able to pull of different kinds of roles..wouldn’t mind seeing more of her but the thing is that there just aren’t enough good shows being produced so I doubt I’d ever see her in a project that has all my interest.
