I THINK AB THE SAEJIMA SCENE SO OFTEN BC ITS SO WRONG IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE and then its never ever touched again . ever. not only does it utterly flay kiryu's character and outright ruin saejima for some people, but the way it was Designed forces the player to partake in the scenario..........

like, for all intents and purposes, saejima doesnt Do anything. his eyes don't follow where the camera tracks to and aren't seen to return from it either. his big crime is stumbling and then pausing for too long. this sorta camera movement would imply a focused character to be looking in the same way, but without them even Bothering to move saejima's eyes before nor after it feels more like the audience was pushed into partaking in the Actually Creepy parts of the scene than anything else. like can u imagine how less weird itd be without the audio cues and if the camera just stayed flat and still elsewhere in the room?

its just so...... it makes me feel rotten but not because saejima's a creep, moreso like, the devs are creeps. theyre the ones who wanted a lingering shot of haruka's legs. the ppl who designed and made and greenlit this scene, are creeps, and just Watching The Cutscene puts me in the role of a creep. n i think this feeling is why its so talked about.....

yknow, beyond making a beloved protagonist out to be on some pred shit. saejima is certainly not the only rgg good-guy to have been tainted by this (￣ ￣|| )
