actually, ykw? imagine if simon had a civilian s/o and bc he’s constantly away and the partner is there most of the time anyways, he lets them decorate the place.
they make it so cozy with a million lamps with stained glass lampshades and tapestries on the walls and an unexpected number of stuffed animals on the bed.
one time, simon invites tf 141 to his flat and their jaws dropped, bc ofc simon didn’t warn them about the absolute pinterest board that his place was.
in fact, he hadn’t mentioned a partner at all, or to you that his team would be coming over so you’re still in one of simon’s raggedy old t-shirts with a handful of dry cereal halfway to your mouth.
it’s generally a shock for both parties, simon excluded, who seems to settle himself right in, kissing the top of your head, eyes crinkling slightly as he grins, looking rather like a cat showing off the bird he dragged in.
you had some choice words for him later, but for now, you brushed the crumbs off your face and wiped your hands off on your shirt before sticking your hand out to the team to introduce yourself.
surprisingly, it goes rather well. all things considered. the team is charmed by you and your ability to make ghost blush and smile endlessly. and you’re absolutely enamored with the fact that they keep complimenting your decor.

Okay so like stick with me but young Derek, alive hale fam au.
So like the Hale family finds out that Derek has a crush on Sheriff Stilinski’s delinquent son, and has mixed reactions. Talia is torn between amusement, worry and wanting to dislike stiles. Papa hale is very protective but thinks it funny that him and his son have the same tastes.
Peter is ecstatic, Stiles once beat him in chess when running from the cops. (stiles was running and sat down in the park around people for cover, turns out he interrupted a chess tournament. Peter challenged him to a game if stiles lost, Peter would turn him over to the police. If he won, stiles could use him as an alibi)
The rest of his siblings don’t really have an opinion other than using Derek’s crush to make fun of him EXPECT for Laura. Laura is in a one sided rivalry with stiles.
As the sheriff right hand deputy she was tasked with keeping an eye out for stiles and she constantly loses him. Which shouldn’t be possible because she’s a werewolf. She can never connect him to a crime he’s committed and can never prove anything. Can’t go to a judge a say “oh he left a scent trail which I followed because I’m a werewolf.”
Derek brings him home to dinner after they start dating. Unfortunately, the day that Derek brings him over, is also the day that Laura had to run around town taking reports of his crimes. She is fuming. Stiles looks her dead in her twitching eye and asked her how her day went.
The only crime she can connect him to is when he commit aggravated assault against a few of Derek’s teammates went to far with hazing. (Derek refused to fight back as not to hurt them) she lets him off.

i understand that the whole “Odysseus torturing the fuck out of Poseidon at the end of the Vengeance Saga” might put some people out because of all the factors of “Poseidon is a god and cannot die” and “this will just piss him off further in reality” and “Odysseus is a mortal he shouldn’t be able to do that!”
however,
have you considered the catharsis of the act? like i know in the original legend, the catharsis is when Ody slays all the suitors, but in the context of this musical, Ody’s action makes sense for the storyline Jorge gave for these two
like we were always going to get a reprise because of how the melodies in Ruthlessness foreshadow it (as well as other songs that inform us that Poseidon is still a threat) and the god’s taunting at Ody. not to mention the whole build up of Odysseus finally turning off his heart
like we all knew that by this point Odysseus would no longer be the same man from the beginning. this action (torturing a god) is a blatant choice, showcasing the transformation from Man to the Monster that arrives onto Ithaca’s shores
but sure i understand why this choice might put some people off, but also remember that by the end of the legend, Athena ensures that no one is allowed to harm Odysseus

Prompt 27: "I’m pregnant." Fiyeraba
Maybe post-canon where either Elphaba got pregnant during ALAYM or after she transforms him back into a human 🤔
Anon! Oh my goodness, this is so scandalocious!
Let me see what I can do 🙏🏽
Drabble Prompts
She remembered it all. She remembered his hands roaming over her, pulling her closer against his bare body. Her name falling from his lips like a star in the sky, over and over. His name leaving hers in higher pitches, her nails digging into his back. She remembered thinking that nothing else mattered, as long as she was his and he was hers. For one single night, she was reckless.
For one single night, she was wicked.
It was a mistake she shouldn’t have repeated.
After she managed to return Fiyero to his original form, Elphaba was overcome. They spent another night together, entangled, so close she was certain to part with him would mean death for them both.
A few weeks later, she was spilling the contents of her breakfast out onto the ground, pure fear coursing through her veins. She’d never been prone to vomiting, even as a child, even under cases of extreme duress or sadness. She wracked her brain, trying to think of what could have possibly brought this on. It hit her a moment later, and her hands flew to her stomach. She calculated, considering the timing, the lack of a particular covering or separation, and the fact that she had never expelled her favorite breakfast before.
Great Oz.
How was she supposed to tell him? They were in no way prepared to be parents, she couldn’t fathom having a child now. Not when there was still so much to be done in Oz.
She had considered it once, briefly, what a family of her own would look like. Someone little, half of her and half of him. The wanting had burned through her so fiercely that she’d buried it under every single emotion she had. One day, perhaps. But not like this.
Elphaba set off, finding Fiyero in their room.
“I need to tell you something.”
Immediately, he stopped what he was doing.
“What is it?” Fiyero said softly, approaching her. Elphaba claimed his hand, threading her fingers through his. She gave it a single, hard squeeze.
“You know you can tell me anything, right?”
Fiyero’s murmur was accompanied by his free hand cupping her cheek. Elphaba closed her eyes, sighing, “I know.”
She took the hand that was holding his, pressed it gently against her stomach, and told him.
“I’m pregnant.”
She opened her eyes after, watching Fiyero’s face shift as he processed the news. He was quiet for a few seconds. Then, he brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it.
“What do you want to do?”
She leaned her head into his chest, wrapping her arms tightly around his middle. He held her, his cheek resting against the top of her head.
“I don’t know. I don’t think I want this right now. I do want a family with you, eventually, but I just don’t think that this is the right time.”
It hurt, as all things seemed too lately.
Fiyero took her face in his hands.
“We have time, Elphaba.”
“We do?”
Her voice cracked. He nodded.
“We do. So when we’re both ready for it, we can consider adding on to you and me. We should discuss it first, though, at length.”
“I completely agree.”
She leaned forward, kissing him quickly.
“When did you become so sensible?”
Fiyero smiled against her lips.
“I learned from studying you, of course.”
He dropped another kiss against her neck.
“You do realize this means we’ll have to be more careful.”
Elphaba’s chuckle was sharp — he’d startled it out of her. She exhaled, running her fingers through his hair to calm herself.
“I think we can manage that.”

The agony of Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian's relationship is that neither could forge a strong base to the relationship they wanted.
Wei Wuxian was raised to be Jiang Cheng's servant, even if JFM favoured him there were no illusions that he was to be a carer for Jiang Cheng and that's what Wei Wuxian continued to be.
And that's what Jiang Cheng let him be, even if he had wanted a deeper more emotional relationship with Wei Wuxian his insecurities and resentment towards Wei Wuxian resulting from the treatment of his parents was too strong to let him form the base that Wei Wuxian had with Jiang Yanli.
Because Wei Wuxian didn't get punished if he out-performed Jiang Yanli, because JYL did not get berated every time WWX did something she could not.
They could never ever be on equal footing under these conditions for the base to be stable. It's always either WWX below JC for his background or JC below WWX for their skill set.
WWX genuinely cared for Jiang Cheng and Jiang Cheng seemed to care for him too, now of course their morality is in different places so they were bound to separate.
Jiang Cheng is first and foremost bound to his sect and his parents. He would not care what happens to others as long as he could keep his sect upright and not be in danger even if it means to bow his head in places he shouldn't.
Wei Wuxian was first and foremost bound to doing what he thinks is morally right and then caring for Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli. He would always do his best for both the Jiang heirs but he would not sacrifice his morality for anyone.
This combined with their overall weak base for the relationship? Of course it would fall apart.
This is not to say there wasn't love. But love is not enough. I am afraid love is never enough unless you bring in understanding into the relationship which WWX and JC couldn't have.
They could never understand each other without letting go of the bitterness.
In the end letting go of each other was the best option.
Because it finally freed them of the barrier of what they were meant to be, WWX as JC's servant and JC as WWX'S master.
I don't think either actually ever wanted that but they went along with it because that's what everyone around them pushed for it to be.
Maybe they wanted to be real brothers but the resentment due to outside source could never allow them to cross the bridge especially once it was out of the picture. (The bridge being JYL of course. She went to live her own life and they fell apart and even then she tried to fix things and lost it all and somehow still stayed loving till the end, god I fucking love her.)
I do love Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian and the complicated relationship they have but I honestly prefer the way it ended with them going their own ways, no longer bound to the painful strings that were repeatedly used to hurt them and each other.
They are free, hopefully Jiang Cheng finally let's go of it as well and lives his life in the present. Lead his sect no longer clinging to the shadow of WWX and agonizing over it, have some bonding time with JL because let's be honest JL is doing somehow better than JC in handling his emotions except that one stab. He's his momma's son but he could still use some bonding time since he has to be sect leader very young too, my poor kid.
Wei Wuxian has definitely let go already, he did everything he could and gave up because everything he tried failed and only caused him more pain. So it's okay if he gives up. Let him roam around with the person who understands and indulges him now. Having weird kinky sex anywhere, everywhere and everyday, he deserves it.
Maybe it's just because there's not enough people actually letting go of their toxic families trope in Asian shows but fuck this really hits the spot. It's okay to leave and go your separate ways when you know you could possibly never fix it or get over the pain and being near only causes more pain. So yeah Wei Wuxian choosing to leave seems great to me.

hello @galladrabbles and welcome back ✨ here is a continuation of last week's installment using the lovely @crossmydna's prompt "trapeze" (albeit very loosely)
[part 1]
**
Mickey raises an eyebrow.
“Fuck kinda line is that?”
The music switches from electro-pop to something bass-heavy. Mickey feels it in his bones. He eyes the redhead up and down, taking careful note of the way his t-shirt stretches around his upper arms.
“Not a very good one, apparently,” the man says. “I’m Ian.” He extends his bottle. Mickey eyes it warily. Lifts his beer. Clink.
“Mickey.”
Ian smiles.
“Mickey,” he repeats.
Mickey ignores the funny feeling in his chest; first a flip, then a fall. It hits his stomach with a nervous swoop.
“So, who do you know here?”

The fact that Yoshi's Island establishes in a throwaway line that is never touched upon again yet explains the entire game that Mario can sense Luigi's presence from literal miles away and that's how the Yoshi's know where to go is wild and I think we as a fandom really under utilize this bit of information.

Am I the only person who is convinced everyone, or at least a good majority of people, in the Destiny community are either proud monsterfuckers or monsterfuckers in denial?
Because either everyone is simping for the humanoid bisexual queen of an alien empire descended from humans who escaped certain death who has lied to her people, and her own brother, on multiple occasions to the point where it took her brother literally dying and getting resurrected as a space zombie with magic powers for her to realize maybe she shouldn't lie so much...
Tumblr media
OR, they're simping for the 9'4" empress of an empire of space rhinos that tried to subjugate us on multiple occasions and to this day we are reminded of the effects of their actions every time you look to the left and up in the Tower when one of them said "fuck it, we ball" and sieged our own city.
Tumblr media
And to be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way.

summary —
When Obi-Wan next spoke, his voice was quiet, a tone reserved for the scattered moments like this that they managed to claim in the brief flashes of peace. “I wanted to leave this in your care.” He held his lightsaber out to Cody.
Cody stared at the weapon. The sight of it was familiar, dull silver metal, worn with age but infinitely cared for. He could even feel the phantom weight of it in his palm. He dared a glance back up at Obi-Wan; caught the other man’s gaze just as it darted away and fought to hold onto it. Something settled between them, the lightsaber coming to rest gently in his hand.
Obi-Wan returns from his alleged death to find things have shifted between him and Cody. Next time he goes, he leaves his lightsaber with Cody. This leads to another shift.

Steve and Nancy's story is complex and beautiful...and not everyone will understand it.
I pity the people who cannot, or refuse, to see the beauty in Steve and Nancy’s story. A story about how trauma impacts your relationships and the way in which you cope with traumatic events. A story about how in the beginning, these two teenagers were not compatible but attempted to make their relationship work, only for the shame, guilt, and blame to take over and rupture the relationship. A story about how it is crucial to acknowledge and understand your partner's pain, and be their support, their rock, their shoulder to cry on.
It is a story about a teenage boy’s fall from popularity, and finding his true self as a friend, a protector, a lover. A story about a teenage girl working to make something of herself, to establish an identity that is purely hers. A story about a teenage boy who works to rectify his past mistakes, and learns to give himself grace for being a human. A story about a girl being true to herself, trusting her gut, and believing in her capabilities without bending to everyone else's expectations of who she should be. A story about a boy who's love for a girl was so strong that it helped him change into a person she could trust and depend on. A story of a girl who sees this boy in a new light, and thinks maybe, just maybe, he can offer her a future of partnership, adventure, and love.
It is a story about how these two teenagers have worked to grow and heal (and how they will continue to grow and heal), and are in a better place now where they can be what the other needs in time. A story about a second chance at love, now that they are both in a better place to love the other. They're not perfect. They never were. Healing and growth are not linear. They will always have their faults, their flaws, and like everyone else, they'll hit rough patches along the way. The difference between Steve and Nancy then and Steve and Nancy now is how they handle the hard times, together. How they face them, together.
And the audience can see how Steve has changed, from a boy who was apprehensive of Nancy's drive to get justice for Barb, to a man who trusted her investigative instincts, offered to join her on her exploration, and told her to be careful. From a teenager who utilized avoidance as a coping mechanism, whose "go with the flow" attitude was a mask to hide his pain, to a man who confidently told Nancy that she is what he's always wanted. There was no avoidance. No shame. No fear. There was simply a boy, who has changed, telling the girl he loves that she is it for him.
And the audience can see how Nancy has changed, too, from a girl who pushed a boy away because his presence was a painful reminder of what, rather who she lost, to a woman who is slowly, slowly, learning that this boy is good, and he is safe. She welcomes him back into her life with ease. From a girl who held this boy at gunpoint because she did not want him involved, to a woman who includes him, and trusts him when he volunteers himself in the face of danger, and defends him because he is someone worth defending.
To truly understand Steve and Nancy's story, you have to be willing to see their growth. You have to be willing to acknowledge change and believe characters can and do change. You have to accept that they did change. And therein lies the problem. Many, many people are purposely choosing to ignore their growth, because it does not fit their version of what they want or think should happen. Many people do not trust or believe that these characters know what they want, or know what's best for them. You have to be able to see and accept who they are now, as opposed to who they once were. How their views have changed. Their morals. Their personalities. Their wants, needs, hopes, and dreams. If you're still holding onto who Steve and Nancy were in the earlier seasons, then you are closing yourself off to any potential understanding of who they are now. If you are intentionally misconstruing what these characters say to fit your own narrative, then you are choosing to believe you know these characters better than they know themselves. If you are perfectly content with misunderstanding their relationship and refusing to acknowledge their growth, then you will miss out on not only a delicate and beautiful relationship, but also a lesson: Second chances happen. And sometimes, people do find their way back to each other.
I don't know what season five will bring. I don’t know if we’ll get a happy ending to their story.
But I do know one thing. I pity the people who willfully choose to ignore a beautiful story about two people finding their way back to each other. That is real life. That is love. It's not always simple or easy. Second chances happen every single day. And how beautiful it is for us to witness the rekindling of two ex-lovers. That is Steve and Nancy's story.
