while we’re on the topic of shipping, could tides and sawyer be like..a thing? i just feel like that makes her being forced to hurt him so much worse 😈
Oh that is absolutely diabolical… i love it. Oh my god, that is awful, you maniac, oh no that makes it so bad!!! And then Kit begging to be swapped with Sawyer because he knew about them?🥺 NOOO WAIT! My heart! It’s canon, idc, I make the rules😎 oh nooooooo why does that make it so much worse?! Evil, evil anon. Not me retroactively stealing this, intoxicating fear is a collab your honour, we’re working out the plot as we go together — genuinely stealing this, thank you evil anon <3
No wait, because then it’s like a foil for Oskit shippers!!!! Because Tides hurt Sawyer, but she didn’t do it willingly, and she is so sorry she did even though she couldn’t control it and Sawyer FORGIVES her because if the roles were reversed he wouldn’t have been able to stop either. But with Ambrose and Kit, Ambrose WILLINGLY and MALICIOUSLY hurt Kit, and forced Kit to hurt himself, so how could he ever forgive that? Just a little extra sauce on top

Ooh so i was watching "Sawdes" And i thought what if desi reader and Lando watch that movie together and she explains all the small details to him, like the caste system and how rigid it was, and how it actually was in the villages and Lando's like very curious to know about India.

lando was sprawled out on the couch, legs stretched comfortably over the ottoman, a bowl of popcorn precariously balanced on his lap. the tv flickered with the opening credits of "swades," the soothing hum of the background score filling the cozy living room.
"so, what's this one about again?" lando asked, glancing at you with genuine curiosity.
you settle next to him, tucking your feet in under you. "it's a movie about this indian guy who works for nasa and then goes back to his roots and finds a need to give back to his community."
lando inclines his head. "sounds deep."
you smiled. "it is, but it's also very beautiful and so real."
as the movie started, you noticed lando's brows furrow slightly during the scenes that showed mohan—the protagonist—returning to his village. the dusty roads, the humble huts, and the villagers carrying out their daily routines seemed to intrigue him.
"wait, why's he sitting on the ground?" lando asked during a pivotal scene where a villager refused to sit on the same level as mohan.
you stopped the movie and turned to face him. "that's actually a huge part of india's history—the caste system. it's a strict social hierarchy that has been around for thousands of years. people were divided into different groups based on their jobs, and it determined where they could live, what they could do, and even who they could talk to."
lando's eyes widened. "seriously? that's awful. is it still like that now?"
"not officially," you said, picking at a stray thread on your sweater. "the indian government banned caste discrimination years ago, but in rural areas… it's complicated. traditions and mindsets don't change overnight."
he nodded slowly, digesting your words. "so that's why the guy didn't sit on the bench. he's… lower caste?"
"exactly," you said. "he probably grows up thinking he's not good enough for someone like mohan, who's educated and from the city. it's just sad."
lando sat back, scratching his head. "man, we brits really left a mess behind, huh?"
you snorted, unable to hold in the laugh that had begun to rise. "a bit of an understatement there, lando."
he grinned sheepishly. "alright, alright, point taken. i’ll add it to the list of things i’m apologizing for. right under the tea tax."
the movie continued, and you found yourself explaining more details to lando—how arranged marriages worked in rural India, why electricity and running water were still luxuries in many villages, and the deep cultural significance of festivals like dussehra. lando hung onto every word, his questions reflecting genuine interest.
"it's crazy to think about," he said during intermission. "like, i took so much stuff for granted-growing up—clean water, electricity, just even … being treated as an equal. and then this guy's coming to alter the way an entire village lives its life. inspiring,"
you smiled at him, a warmth spreading through your chest. "that's why i love this movie. it's not just a story; it's a reminder of where we come from and how much work there's still left to do."
"also a reminder that my ancestors were the worst," lando added, giving you a mock-serious look. "you're never letting me live this down, are you?"
"nope," you said, popping a piece of popcorn into your mouth. "you're stuck with me and my history lessons."
By the time the credits rolled, lando was wiping at his eyes, laughing sheepishly when you caught him. "alright, i'll admit… that hit harder than i expected."
you chuckled, leaning into his side. "told you it's a masterpiece."
he looked down at you, a thoughtful expression on his face. "you'll take me there one day, right? to india? i want to see it for myself."
your heart swelled at his sincerity. "absolutely. but only if you're ready for a sensory overload-the crowds, the colours, the chaos."
lando grinned. "bring it on. as long as i've got you to explain everything."
you smiled, reaching for his hand. "always."
you then realized just how lucky you were-to share a piece of your world with someone who cared enough to listen, to learn, and to embrace it wholeheartedly.

rip bianca di angelo she would’ve loved … to finally be free and maybe even get a proper relationship with her younger brother… without a grudge. maybe she could’ve had a sibling bond rather than a forced parental one. she would’ve been able to bond with the hunters of artemis who also grew up in a different era, who also skipped some years. like thalia… another child of the big tree who sacrificed herself

It’s just so bizarre that Thomas really wants us to care more about a school bully traumatizing Marinette than a full grown gaslighting butterfly adult terrorist who basically FORCED her into the hero role, just because he was a sawd babu who wanted his wifiey back…by manipulating everybody’s emotions and taking an advantage of them. That especially included children and his OWN SON.

Responding to yet more unhinged Anti zionists arguments
Because I am not going to waste my precious time and energy on replying to each ignorant person who believes Hamas are a "brave resistance group"
For the millionth time: I do not support the genocide of Palestinians when I say Israelis shouldn't die. I am not deflecting or denying anything, I am making posts about how I and other Israelis have been impacted by October 7th and the war ever since. I am allowed to mourn my people.
Released female Israeli hostages aren't "weaponizing Feminism". Just because some were "only" sexually assaulted and threatened with rape, doesn't mean others aren't raped. Israeli women were targeted on October 7th. Their assault, mutilation, and violent rape were all planned. Hamas terrorists who were caught and interrogated have said so themselves in published recorded interrogations. *** Regarding Mia Shem- I've said before: mocking her appearance isn't making you the great humane person you think you are. I've had some nutjob tell me "Oh well in an interview she said she was only groped and others were raped. She's using feminism and things people care about in order to gain sympathy." She was: -Kidnapped from a party and shot. -Operated on by a veterinarian while in captivity for over 50 days. -Starved ,beaten, mocked , groped and sexually assulted while constantly threatened with being raped. And you're mocking her. Wow that is a new low. Believe Jewish women.
You are constantly backing up your "facts" and statistics with un-credible sources. Let me make this clear one final time: Al Jazeera = racist and antisemitic supports terrorism There isn't a Gaza Ministry of Health- it's Hamas.
Palestinians and Hamas specifically are very racist towards Afro-Palestinian / black people. A quick Google search will lead you to this:
Anti-Black racism in Palestine
The State of Palestine has a community of Afro-Palestinians, many of whom are descendants of the victims of the historical Slavery in Palestine, which ended in the 20th-century.[43]
Racism against African Americans in Palestinian media (Wikipedia)
Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, has been the subject of some viciously racial personal attacks, alongside vociferous criticism of her policies.[44] These included an anti-black racist cartoon in Palestinian Authority's controlled Press Al Quds. The New York Times reported in 2006:
Her comment that the Israel-Lebanon war represented the "birth pangs of a new Middle East"— coming at a time when television stations were showing images of dead Lebanese children — sparked ridicule and even racist cartoons. A Palestinian newspaper, Al Quds," which "depicted Ms. Rice as pregnant with an armed monkey, and a caption that read, "Rice speaks about the birth of a new Middle East.[45]
The Palestinian media has used racist terms including "black spinster" and "colored dark skin lady."[46][47]
.... The African Palestinians who now live in the two compounds near al-Aqsa mosque have called the area home since 1930.[12] They have experienced prejudice, with some Palestinian Arabs[21] referring to them as "slaves" (abeed) and to their neighbourhood as the "slaves' prison" (habs al-abeed), and their colour has led to objections against them marrying Palestinians with lighter skin.[9][3] According to Mousa Qous, director of the African Community Society and a former member of the PFLP, "Sometimes when a black Palestinian wants to marry a white Palestinian woman, some members of her family might object." Interracial marriage with Afro-Palestinians has become more common in recent years.[8] In colloquial Palestinian Arabic, standard usage prefers the word sumr (dark colour) over sawd, which has an uncouth connotation.[22]
-For further reading I found this research paper to be very detailed: https://d-nb.info/1204258597/34
*** I have to mention this as well since some anti-Zionist brought up MLK as an example for their argument against Israel: you clearly have no idea what you're talking about... he was a Zionist!
Jews and African Americans have historically been allies in their struggles for equality. He literally wrote an open letter titled "Letter to an Anti-Zionist friend", explaining why he supports Zionism. Do your research.
5. Gaza hasn't been under Israel's control since 2006, it is controlled by Hamas! Before that, it was governed by Fatah, Another terrorist organization (Hamas killed all of the Fatah members when they came to power). Hamas = terror organization leaching off the Palestinian people. They want to kill all Jews and are against everything that represents the West. UWNRA - Is filled with Hamas terrorists. UN & ICRC - Both have a long history of being biased against Jews and have failed the Jewish people once again.
6. Israelis don't deserve to die just because they are Israeli. They are not privileged to have a government that (relative to Hamas) cares about their civilians.
7. "From the river to the sea" Is a genocidal chant calling for the death of all Jews / Israelis. The final solution / one solution = killing all Jews, holocaust. Intifadas aren't peaceful or inspiring resistance. It's Terror attacks targeting civilians: Shootings, stabbings, lynchings, school buses exploding, etc.
I have an entire post explaining this, you're welcome to read it but the main takeaway should be: You don't get to decide what's anti-Semitic, Jews do. If Jews tell you this chant threatens them and is antisemitic- it is.

This is pt. 2 to my previous meta about the title sequence magic acts- I've written so many versions of this but they all get too much and all over the place so bear with me its been awhile since I've had to put such a chaotic thought process into coherent writing
but before I get started I just want to say I will be pulling ideas from these metas by @drconstellation here and @newfangledfancy here so I recommend go reading them - seriously pls go read all these for any of this to make sense
In those post they talk about how the Tadfield Manor paintball scene was meant to parallel the Great War - they come to this conclusion because of the parallels it has to the bullet catch scene - but before we leave this I want to get into the roles the current season one Crowley and Aziraphale have in the paintball scene -because in that scene we see both of them get hit with a paintball maybe like they both were at risk of falling but other than Crowley changing the guns they kind of just walk through it - almost like they are just remembering the Great War not actively reliving/reacting their own actions in the war
Now how this relates to my post and specifically why I chose the season one scene - really I’m just trying to explain my thought process because yknow no one actually gets sawd in half - first we have to start with the only actual magic act we see from the title sequence the bullet catch scene and what it is visually showing us - it is just the two of them standing opposite of each other with a weapon posed between them that ultimately gets diverted - this is the magic act - this is what i was looking for to parallel with the season one magic act - a personal moment between the two of them that is not necessarily the end of season “act” they pull off in front of people - now with all that in mind plus the visuals I talked about in the last post that is where I got the "come up with something” moment of the airbase scene - but it is also just a moment of a very much increased risk of death (yknow with Satan coming and all and no real plan in place to win) and an intense level of trust that Crowley will come up with something - it’s not the most one for one parallel i know but it’s what i came up with
But to bring it back around to the other metas and some speculation for season 3 - if these are the moments that are meant to parallel the Great War - with the Tadfield Manor War as a greater/wider look into it as a whole whereas these magic acts are meant to be more personal look into what happened between Aziraphale and Crowley - how does the wheel of death play into this? - well it has been speculated that we are going to get an actual Great War scene so maybe it will be the two of them facing off against each other not really wanting to fight, to hurt each other but a third factor comes in that makes them and Crowley takes the Fall/death and this would be somehow paralleled it our present times with perhaps some roles switched around
and maybe they have to keep reliving these echos of time till they get it right

Uwu, WW2... such a twagic event! It makes me swo saaad, but I will do my best to twell you about it!
In WW2, the Nazis invaded Poland! It made the world very sawd... But the Allies fought back! The USA, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom worked together to defeat Hitler and his Nazi Party.
It was a big win! The Axis Powers did many very spooky things--like the Holocaust! But the Allies and the Russians won in the end. The War was a big, big victory for freedom! And now, we have all sorts of things like TV shows and chocolate! It's vewry exciting!
Hey Dez how do I react to this 😭
