Even after the reveal their dynamics are still slightly different so Adrien asking Marinette “would you still love me if I was a worm?” gets a soft kiss and an “of course I would, Chaton” but Chat Noir asking Ladybug “would you still love me if I was a worm?” gets her unifying Tikki with Nooroo and going “let’s check”

Enemies AU with Chat Noir and Argos except while Ladybug and Chat Noir are having a complicated Enemies-To-Tentative-Allies-To-Friends(?)-To-Genuine-Trust-To-Lovers Arc with Argos suffering just watching the whole charade of dancing around each other, the moment Ryuko comes into play, they speedrun that arc in record time and suddenly the tables have turned with Chat Noir third wheeling Feligami’s (Ryargos’?) flirt-fighting while he and Ladybug are still stuck in between the Friends(?) and Genuine Trust stage.

Ladybug would lecture Ryuko to stop making out with the enemy… If it weren’t surprisingly useful at keeping Argos at bay. (Should she start making out with Chat Noir? For tactical reasons, of course. She definitely doesn’t think about making out with Chat Noir for any other reasons, uh-uh.)

Also the tables have turned further because usually Chat Noir is giving Argos heart attacks with how reckless and self-sacrificial he is but now Chat Noir has to try and shake some sense into him because, “Félix, Félix, she can TAKE your brooch if she’s that close to you— she almost did!” And Argos, having recently made out with Ryuko, is still very dazed and in Loverboy Mode so he’s there like, “It’s… Fine. I can keep it safe.” Very unconvincingly and Chat Noir is like, “Do you think she’ll stop trying to take it??” And Argos smiles softly and says, “No.” and Chat Noir just. Stops trying to convince him not to kiss her and just tells him to be careful.

How infuriating that even the very image of herself failed to project confidence in her plan. "Come on," she pleaded to the mirror. "You can't doubt me too! Tikki was just being paranoid. And, sure, Daizzi said the whole dinner idea was too romantic, but he says that about everything! He said that about my pasta salad last week. And this is sooo not romantic! That's why we're dressed so professionally, remember?" She shot her reflection a pair of finger guns.

I actually love that Marinette's keeping all these secrets. Like go girl give these unnecessary burdens to yourself, be a morally gray character, be the antagonist to your own story. No one's stopping you, no one's forcing you either (except maybe Gabriel haunting the narrative), this is all on you! You, a 15 year old girl, will just have to deal with the consequences later. Alone. You put this on yourself, no one else did. But anything for Adrien, right?

By the way, even if you did tell the truth, you would have to handle the consequences that shouldn't be punished upon you anyways. The real culprits are dead. Whether you like it or not, you are the punching bag of the narrative.

been reading gen fics for miraculous lb and ooh I am absolutely ILL for queerplatonic/platonic love bond between marinette/adrien POST reveal. there's no blushing or questions of if they'll get together. instead of the knowledge that the love of their life is also one of their best friends overriding everything, it's like... wow. I care for you in so many ways; you're my partner and I love you and there doesn't have to be anything more to it. like they're affectionate and caring and concerned for one another and still devastated when the other is hurt in battle- but it isn't out of romantic love or attraction. they are two halves of a whole. THEY ARE TWO HALVES OF A WHOLE. they lean on one another for comfort and hold each other's hands and get close and laugh together and its pure love but it isn't romantic. except there isn't a "but", because that's that. there's nothing wrong or absurd about that and that doesn't make it any less important or cheesy. they're in love in every sense of the word, except it doesn't carry romantic connotation

The last straw for me and what made me stop enjoying ladynoir was the Chat Walker episode… The moment Adrien went through a literal depressive episode and he said he was fine he just didn’t want to go to school I…That broke me, and then he changed himself completely for Ladybug too like… what? Idk it really rubs me the wrong way. I’m wondering if Adrien is really just codependent on Ladybug because she’s the only person he can experience that sense of freedom that he’s never really had in his life with. I’m not great with analyzing I just need some sort of explanation as to why I feel so uncomfortable with the Chat Walker episode.
